Reviews of Short Long Black

A good selection of cakes. The croissants are absolutely lovely, they melt in your mouth. I found the cinnamon bun tasty but a little too sweet for me. Nice mocha and friendly staff. Just a little expensive.
F. M.
Lovely focaccia sandwich (huge - great value), really tasty raspberry brownie and a great coffee to enjoy in the park. Will be back next time I'm around Queens Park.
J. O.
A place where coffee is taken seriously. They serve their own roast beans in the espresso. The cups are made of beautiful ceramics. Also, I had an excellent muffin topped with cream cheese icing. Food in general looks great although I haven't tasted it yet.
Will repeat again! Thanks for the great contribution to the Southside coffee scene guys! Kudos ✌🏽
L. H.
Best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had and amazing coffee. Focaccia is incredible too.
B. R. D.
Their coffee and baked goods are exceptional. One of the best. Thank you SLB, you made a sunny morning even brighter! ☕ 🧡🚲
C. R.
Best croissant I have tried in Glasgow. Good coffee and nice staff👍🏼
K.
Excellent quality coffee and baked goods but it's quite disappointing that they've seem to have gone permanently to-go only.
A. A.
Went for tea and cake after a walk in the park, as you do. My friend and I ordered the coconut and raspberry cake and the peanut butter jelly cake with tea and coffee. Absolutely loved it!!! It’s a quaint little place with reasonably priced cakes.
V. S.
absolutely stunning pastries and delicious coffee! try the cinnamon bun, it never fails!
D. W.
Very good quality coffee, like the clean and peaceful space, not much selection on savoury but the daily soup which was tomato soup on that day was delicious and the Turkish bread was so good!
L. M.
Lovely staff who delivered great customer service. There was a quick turnaround so the queue went down swiftly. Coffee was a little too tarte for my liking (personal preference) but husband thoroughly enjoyed his latte. We will be back after Lent to try the cakes - They looked amazing!

Great wee place. Great service and the standard of coffee is always high. There are also some very lovely baked goods, including a decent amount of vegan and gluten free options. For those who like to make their coffee at home, there is always a nice range of coffees (can be ground for V60s, etc.) and the staff are happy to make recommendations. Any coffee drinker in the Southside of Glasgow should check out SLB.

Lovely coffee, also had the ice-cream with espresso and it was amazing! However I'm disappointed that I paid £3 for ice cream that was finished in two spoonfuls...portion size is small for the price. It could have been a mistake though so I will try again to see what happens... but for now only 3 stars.

One of the best coffe experience i've ever had.My clients told me about this place,i went there today with mrs got my coffee walked away to my car but i was like hold on a minute its finished already, went back in a queue and ordered another 4 cups to us both.Amazing coffee,i would highly recommend this place to coffee lovers..

This café is takeaway only just now. The coffee was good, although quite small. The cakes all looked lovely, and we chose a cinnamon bun which was massive and very nice, and a brown butter and hazelnut chocolate cookie which was amazing. The staff seemed busy and so I felt a little bit under pressure to choose what I wanted, but they were speedy and efficient. Conveniently placed for Queen's Park and north Shawlands.

Really nice buns and bread here, including croissants that are more French than many others in this vicinity. Friendly staff. One gets one's money's worth.
R. W.
Great coffee great staff and great food, this little place is well worth a visit and dog friendly too! Only complaint is it's too small...
S. S.
The best focaccia sandwiches in the south side! With a fabby cinnamon bun.
A. R.
Good guys who care about coffee and have some lovely wee pottery and cups, which are also for sale. Always time for a chat and the coffee is brill! Cake too.
J. M.
Amazing coffee easily one of the best I have had in Glasgow. And a banging array of sweet treats. Highly recommend a visit and then going to enjoy your purchases in Queens park.
L. R.
Popped in for a quick coffee, I can honestly say this was the best flat white I've ever had. I ended up ordering one to go as well.
The Chocolate Orange cake was lovely too.
Well done, great to see small businesses smashing it!

Dyno coffee and staff, great to go a lil walk around the park with a wee scamp of a Frenchie named Brie, who is only a bad girl when she finds a branch 3 times the length. But defo worth the coffee fix usually a fast moving que, which speaks to location and taste. Very enjoyable regular full bodied Black, velvety cappacino and a very kicking flat white so far, never had the food but it looks and SMELLS amazing.
M. M.
Great cakes and coffee. Always a treat.
L.
The most incredible decaf coffee I have ever had - tastes just like premium caffeinated coffee - and they make a proper flat white - Cannot recommend enough.
S. C.
Recently had the most amazing veggie breakfast burritos. Today it was a raspberry slushie and chocolate chip cookie. Yum. Boyfriend loves the coffee - best affogato he's ever tasted apparently!
m. f.
Popped in for a late lunch with my Dad, had toastie and a latte. Coffee was really good, nice and smooth, the toastie was a three cheese on really nice speciality bread. The staff were very welcoming and polite, and really helpful with the menu, will be returning and will definitely recommend to others. Fantastic Cafe in the southside.
D. M.
A good coffee shop serving good tasting coffee and a good selection of cakes & sandwiches to go.
Only downside that l noticed is that you don't get much coffee in your cup as if its half filled.
R. M.
Best cakes and pastries I've had in a long time, maybe even ever...
S. F.
We went here for a quick coffee. The atmosphere was great and the girl who served us was friendly and smiley! The food options were really good, definitely coming back to taste some of them.
Z. G.
Full w@nk, but that's fine! Smashing cakes
A. P.
Some of the best (value and taste) cakes in the hood
Z. R.
Great place! We had some very nice long black coffee and an amazing (and quite original!) sandwich with brie, sour cream, blackberries, pomegranate, lime, rocket and chilli. The service was very friendly. Highly recommended!
S. T. (.
Cozy little place with lovely coffee! The toasties are a treat and the in-house made soup is delicious, perfect for the winter! Chai latte is also to die for, so creamy and the perfect mix of spices!
M. M.
A lovely coffee shop. Delicious coffee. I had Americano with extra shot and it was perfect. Chorizo, 3 cheese and pickled chilli toasted focaccia was delicious.
M. R.
I like Short Long Black a lot, I think it is a cool wee place with a comfy bright vibe, really nice creative food menu, lots of cakes, coffee made with care by friendly staff and served in beautiful handmade ceramics. The space is well-used, feeling busy and exciting but also comfortable and private. In an excellent location opposite Queens Park station and nearby the park itself, also near Lidl 🤙 I recommend a visit, get a few coffees and a cool sanger, have a good old time, enjoy your life, you're young and hip and looking for adventure, hey treat yourself.
D. B.
Always a favourite. A must visit coffee shop for caffeine lovers, baked good lovers and people who like good service
P. G.

J. M.

Looked great from the outside. I only sat outside to rest for a bit and no one gave me any hassle. (It was a quiet time of the day. I wouldn't have taken up a seat without purchasing had it been busy)) I will go back and sample some of the advertised delights, as I work in the area.
H. M.
The coffee is really tasty here, and they are open at 8am, so time to have some gluten free toast and jam before you go to work ☺️
C. S.
Lovely little place. Nice freshly ground coffee. An excellent toastie. Dog friendly. Sit in or take away.
The staff were lovely as well.
S. F.
