L. E.Food was outstanding, best takeaway food we have ever had, more like restaurant food. We had the Crayfish salads which were really tasty and fresh, Fish, chips and peas ( husband said its the nicest fish he has ever had). He must have said 'its well good this' about ten times 😂. I had the beef curry, it was really tasty and the beef just melted in your mouth. The chips were amazingly well seasoned. We both had the lemon posset for dessert which was really lemony and delicious 😋. Portions were huge
Staff were really friendly and welcoming.

I. M.THE BEST fish and chips I have ever eaten. Portion sizes are huge, both for the pizza and the fish! Batter was crispy and stayed crispy, really flavoursome and well seasoned. Chips the same light and fluffy but crispy round the outside. One of us also had the pizza with a side of chips, which was thin, full of flavour and also delicious! Lots of options on the menu, burgers, pizzas, fish and chips, and more. A small dessert menu and an extensive list of beers on offer. A true gem, will be back when we are holidaying in Cromarty again!

All of the above were delicious and we wished we'd ordered 2 portions of calamari even our fussy 5 year old ate it, it was so good. Definitely be taking a drive through from inverness soon.
P. J.Lovely food so well presented. Have visited many times but not for a few years and the quality, style and price point have certainly moved up scale. You can see for yourself in the photos. It's certainly a treat for the people who visit Cromarty and there isn't really any competition unless you like pub food.

Full plates soon demolished, tower of langoustine which were mouth wateringley fresh followed by hake topped with seaweed crunchiness, you could smell & taste the sea with every mouthful, accompanied by a beautiful barley almost risotto esk which was wonderfully flavoursome & could quite easily be a dish on its own merit. Delicious stone baked pizza which was well cooked tasty fayre, nothing quite beats a proper fired pizza. Would we go back?? in a heart beat ...... this gem deserves to have it shouted from Lands End to John O'Groats to pay a visit!! loved loved loved it & special mention to the very welcoming, happy host that greeted us.

I have spent a week eating at some very highly regarded Scottish dining locations and the quality of some of the dishes here is just as excellent. I had a dish of scallops, beautifully cooked and presented with a colourful medley of vegetables. I chose the baked Alaska for pudding and it was also a delight to the eye and tasted wonderful.

There is a good vegetarian selection and the food is fresh and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are anywhere near then get along to Sutor Creek. It is certainly worth booking before you show up as they are often busy.

W.Everything about Sutor Creek is perfect! Setting, welcome, décor, service, food, price and the goodbye. Sutor Creek's pizza came highly recommended from the locals and it did not disappoint in any aspect. I'll be back in the area during the summer and will be visiting again. The Cullen Skink smelled incredible so that is a definite starter next time along with a main and then a pizza to take away for the car ride home! A massive thank you to the Sutor Creek team.
S. S.We took a short road trip to Cromarty from Inverness and tried Sutor Creek Cafe. It was a beautiful day so we found a nice seat down at harbour and ordered online which was very easy. When I collected order it was ready at time agreed and piping hot. The cafe is spotless clean and well laid out inside and also has a good selection of local produce for sale and I couldn't walk past the local beer selection. Staff are very pleasant and a credit to the owners. Now the food, we both opted for fish and chips and it was absolutely lovely from start to finish, very tasty tartare sauce as well. I will definetely return and would 110% recommend

e. m.The perfect find for a coeliac family. It makes such a difference to a day out to know you can find a cafe that can cater for you. We had gluten free pizzas, the staff were instantly knowledgeable about what toppings were safe and the pizzas were quickly prepared. And they were delicious. We sat at tables right outside, but it's just a short walk from the beach if you fancied making a picnic. Great coffee too!

S. J.My family and I popped in for some lunch today, we weren't sure what to get until we saw the Sunday roast being served - easy decision and WOW! Absolutely beautiful, it was by miles the nicest we've ever had. The beef was super tender and everything on the plate tasted beautiful. My daughter had a handmade pizza and the chef took her into the kitchen to see it being made and being cooked in the wood fired oven. On that note the staff are polite, friendly and approachable. I believe they are up for an award tonight and it would come as no surprise if they win it.
Highly recommended with one caveat, don't eat anything for 24hrs before dining!

The fish and chips were amazing! The staff are friendly and really helpful. Highly recommend for food and drink takeout and look forward to being able to visit again when we're next in Cromarty. The wood fire pizza oven was very busy when we were there, will try that next time, looked delicious!

After heading to Cromarty to do some walking we wanted to grab some lunch before heading home and went here just because it was close to where we'd parked and it was one of the best decisions we made all holiday (and it was a great holiday!)
Husband had dressed crab and I had crayfish salad and we shared some rosemary fries.
I have never had any seafood salad in my life that was as good as theirs and husband was equally enamored with the crab - so fresh. so tasty! And as for those rosemary fries - best chips/fries we've ever eaten! We debated going back to Cromarty (an hour away from holiday cottage) just so we could get more food from here.
Service was also excellent, sensible Covid precautions and very friendly staff, it's just a crying shame this place is over 600 miles away from me now.

R. W.I came here visiting with friends not expecting all that much - they said the pizzas were great, but pizza is good in lots of places and this is a cafe in a village way out of town (to a Southerner).
I left having eaten the best food of my life. No exaggeration.
I had scallops and pork belly with asparagus, all of which arrived cooked to perfection, followed by an Earl Grey panna cotta which was delicate and creamy without being over-sweet or sickly.
My sincere thanks to the chef. This was one of the highlights of my time in Scotland.
G. I.A little disappointing this time round. Great whitebait starter, lovely wine and good service but the seafood pizza I had been looking forward to was undercooked and doughy in the middle. Not terrible but just not quite as good as it could have been.
Also, maybe a little biscuit with the after dinner coffees would be good.

T. E.Probably the best roast beef i've had in many a year. We went for Sunday lunch. Their kitchen is being refurb so they have decanted to the near by brewery, lovely building. Menu was very good, food amazing. Even if you only go for Sunday lunch, it will be one of the best Sunday lunches you've had.
A. L.Had one of the last sittings before they close for kitchen extension work over the winter. We understand there will be a pop up restaurant in The Old Brewery Cromarty from time to time. We were the first to arrive at 6.15pm but it quickly filled up soon after. The seating had changed since we last visited, now all with tables and chairs rather than some benches around the windows with cushions from what we can remember.
Prompt service gave us our drinks. A little over priced we thought for the white wine Pinot Grigio chosen at £6 instead of the Sauvignon, which would've been £8! The others had Happy Chappy beer, which we all agreed had an excellent taste.
We shared starters Cullen Skink £7 and Ham Hock £8 between 4 of us which was again served quickly. 2 spoons and 2 rolls were provided for the soup at no extra charge and it was delicious with the right balance of fish and potato and leek. Our guests also enjoyed the Ham Hock they shared. The mains were chosen: 2 of us had beef burger and one had Duck (guest asked for sauteed potatoes with that as this wasn't included on the menu) and one Fishcake @ £12. These were all from the blackboard specials, while the other guest chose The Black Isle pizza. Food served in reasonable time and the server came to check we were happy with our food. The guest who had the Fishcake gave feedback that she was a little disappointed with the size of portion and felt a little unsatisfied, so the others gave her some beef burger and pizza. The beef burgers were excellent. Very big and lots of meat. It came in a bun as would expect with cheddar, bacon, tomato, a large mushroom and served with fairly thin salted chips. A good balance, though neither of us ate all the bun. The Duck was served with pearl barley, carrots, turnip and pear along with roasted new potatoes, (rather than sauteed, as was expected and advertised on the menu in another dish) but it was without extra charge and this was enjoyed and the whole dish thought excellent by the member of our party who ordered it. The Black Isle Pizza had Haggis, Black Pudding, Bacon and Mushroom and was a good size. We were shown the size when it was ordered, so we could see how big it was going to be. A couple of us were given a segment to share and thought it to be excellent. Our guest enjoyed it too and was not disappointed, complimenting the server on his way out later. We all ordered a range of coffees or cappuccinos and skipped sweets. The bill came to £110 and we handed over £120 to include the tip.
To conclude, we went away feeling it was a good experience on the whole and would recommend it to others, as we have done in the past.

The food is top class one of the best meals ive had in the highlands in a while staff were very friendly and the decor is very relaxing. They have a small bar providing you with a good selection of drinks to enjoy with your meal.

M. W.For evening meals I recommend booking a table. This place is rightly very popular, even when I visited on an inauspicious Thursday night the tables were full and people were being turned away.
The online booking system works, I was treated with a "Hello, you must be Marcus" on arrival and we were quickly shown to our seats. Water was brought to the table, and we were able to order from the pizza menu and the blackboards which had the days specials, comprising 2 meat and 3 fish main coarses, 4 or 5 starters and a similar number of desserts.
The café retains its informality when the evening service begins; you won't be made to feel underdressed in jeans. There were also several families with young children who seemed relaxed and appeared to enjoy the evening.
The pizza menu includes "The Black Isler" which features a topping of haggis and black pudding, which I can attest is actually really tasty. The bacon is actually the star of the dish, the haggis and black pudding adding a gentle peppery richness. My fellow diners opted for choices from the blackboard. These are proper grown up dishes prepared and presented to a standard I would expect from a fine dining restaurant.
