Great food, great service, relaxing atmosphere, and it's on the marina front which is pretty at any time of day. We indulged in evening pizzas and returned for cooked breakfast and have not been disappointed - delicious.

We always have a good experience at Swellies. Food is simple but high quality, staff are polite and attentive. Our tea was served in a posh individual tea pot which went cold quickly as we were sitting outside. An old fashioned tea pot would have been more practical. Other than that very good.

Delightful small friendly marine side cafe. Very attentive staff without being intrusive. I had waited 3 years to return for the most delicious Welsh Rarebit and boy was it worth waiting. Just as delicious as when I went there in 2019. Can't wait to go again.

Brilliant little place. The food was outstanding, varied and well presented. Can imagine this is a favourite of the locals too. Lovely setting on the marine. Love the Swellies, fantastic food and quick service. The freshly squeezed orange juice is to die for, and I love the Brunch sandwiches (Halloumi is best) and the Rarebit with poached eggs is always spot on. I come here as often as I can!

Had lovely cake and coffee. Plenty of choice. You can sit in or eat outside on tables under large umbrellas which is great on hot days when you need protection from the sun. Sitting outside is great as you have views if the boat and the sea beyond.

Really enjoyed our meal here! The staff were really helpful, and the menu had so much option! This cafe really caters for all types of people, with he biggest range of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan products that I have seen. Theres also plenty of options for those who eat meat (such as myself!). The vegan hot chocolate (pictured) as one of the best I've ever had!

What a fabulous place. Right on the marina. Great welcome, gorgeous coffee and just check the menu out! And once the warm weather returns you can sit and enjoy your coffee or food outside....perfect. Especially if you have a dog with you.

Great little bistro, super breakfasts..usual (favourite) choice ..for a change we decided on the Beefburger not usually a choice for myself..so a little apprehensive? Spoilt for choice I decided to chance making it my choice for lunch today!.. I have had many a burger, unfortunately at most disappointing never quite living up to the expectation? overall they have been so drab? "What a relief" & a pleasing suprise my first 'Swellies Burger" was placed before me, grease/fat free!!... At last a proper Burger just made from good & wholesome 'Welsh Beef' truly a real treat!! ...Highly reccomended... enjoy enjoy. Harry & Gill.

Absolutely excellent breakfast. The Hash Brown is to die for. Just gutted it wasn’t on the small breakfast, as I basically upgraded to the bigger breakfast for that, and ending up leaving a little. Epic though. Little dear, but you pay for what you get.

Lovely little cafe right on the river/marina. It is small but has outdoor seating. Gluten free option. Alcohol served. We had a lovely Club Sandwich which was a large portion and had a side salad and we also had crispy fried. The bacon and chicken were delicious and it was served on lovely fresh bread. The staff were friendly and polite. It is all on the ground floor with access to a disabled/shared toilet with baby change. They serve breakfasts and lunches and have pizza evenings. Check opening times before going. Highly recommended.

Visited on a very busy Sunday and the drinks and food order was quickly taken but we waited over 30 minutes before the drinks came which we had finished before the food came 20 minutes later only 2 out of the 3 arrived and this was put down to a communication break down with the kitchen there was no sign of the third dish arriving after finishing the 2 dishes that were served and waiting another 20 minutes we left The food we did get was ok and the setting is great but only go if you have lots of time to spend

Such good food, we go each time we visit North Wales. Absolute gem of a cafe. This time we had the vegan options and they were incredible, but they have a menu to suit anyone.

The food was okay on the whole, but we asked for some basic elements of certain ingredients put together for our 18 month old (there is not kids menu). This was greeted with "our chef is quite awkward", which was a baffling response. When the eggy bread and avocado arrived for the baby, the bread was burnt, meaning we had to order a slice of toast. The wait for our food was not really acceptable, and a number of tables that were seated and ordered after us, got their food before us. When I went to pay, they were going to charge me for the burnt eggy bread. I insisted I was not paying for it, and I got the response "well you ate quite a bit of it", which was untrue as we had cut into it and scraped the avo off to check if it was all burnt. Three stars for the food, less for the lack of customer service.

We actually went here because the other place we were going wasn't open for food yet. And I'm glad it wasn't. The food was lovely. I had a club sandwich and some sweet potato fries and hubby had some nacho fries. Both were lovely. I don't live in the area or I would be going again.

The cakes are wonderful, the food is inventive and delicious for how limited they are in space, the staff are incredibly friendly and across the numerous times I've been there, there hasn't been a single time where they haven't been smiling and quick to service. This place serves what I believe to be the nicest chips/fries in Wales, I've only had nicer fries in one place other than The Swellies. The burgers are great in every regard except for the patties themselves, which are slightly bland and a bit lackluster in seasoning, but the well put together nature of the burgers saves them, they cater to all kinds of diets and have food so good that other restaurants and cafes have stolen one or two breakfast names and recipes. This isn't your standard dry steak and chips cafe, every single meal is freshly prepared and every single meal is well worth the money, they have simple and traditional dishes such as full English breakfasts, as well as nontraditional dishes such as scrambled tofu. Probably one of the best cafes... anywhere.

Nice location sitting outside next to the Dock in Y Felinhi. Plenty to choose from on the menu, only problem was the waiting time after ordering for our meal to arrive. However, when we were served the meal it was very nice and we enjoyed it. Would visit again despite the wait.

A really friendly little cafe that clearly takes pride in what they do. The menu is great (although i only had a delicious sticky cake) and there's a fantastic range of teas and other drinks. The staff are ace and know what they are doing. The cafe is nicely done out and the background music is fun and chilled. I only wish this place were local to me.

There's a good menu. The food was prepared well, and used top quality ingredients. I would recommend a visit. The place is small though, and popular, so be prepared either for a bit of a wait, or have a backup plan. But don't let that put you off trying it. The location is great, with really good views. In decent weather, there is outdoor seating too.

Always enjoy coming here. It's cosy and comfortable, the staff are welcoming and you can order additions or swaps with meals and they're happy to do so which isn't always the case. The food is always good, the coffee is too and the cakes are fabulous. Top tip: You can take them away for later if you're too full.

A hidden gem! A little cafe overlooking the morrings with tables inside and outside by the boats. Fantastic home cooked food, all fresh cooked to order with a good choice for all tastes. Most come with a side salad which was one of the best I've tasted and some include fresh cooked chips. The fresh pesto on the home made pizza was brilliant and again one of the most tasty I've tasted. Give it a try and you'll be warmly greeted by the staff and your taste buds will thank you.

It was the end of our holiday and with aching legs after spending the day at the Caernarfon castle we wanted to get a bite to eat and Google recommend here. So glad we found it the staff was great the food was amazing we all left full and happy. We wanted to pick up the place and bring it home with us it was that nice. So Felinheli for the most part seems like a one-street village, you can drive all the way through it in 2 minutes if traffic is light. However, the place has it''s secret hidden nooks and corners. The Swellies is definitely one of Felinheli's hidden gems, nestled in next to a pretty little marina. The place is a little small, but it's pleasantly decorated and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I've been several times and the food has been superb each time. The only thing that would knock off a few points is the fact that the menu is rather small, but I suppose a small kitchen and limited staff has its constraints. I want to particularly highlight their soups, it's always homemade with seasonal ingredients and absolutely delicious. If you're lucky enough to catch the Apple and Celeriac soup, definitely go for it.

Cool spot with nice food and coffee. I'd suggest a bacon bap from Swellies to fill your belly before you climb Snowdon. Alas, I didn't find this gem until the day after and had to settle for Little Chef as my climbing fuel.
