A very warm welcome from the owner and staff. A proper stuffed toasties ( half eaten in the photo as is was too good before I took the photo) Clean, bright and tidy with a nice play list. Good selection of teas that come in pots and lasts 4 to 5 cups. Lovely hidden gem.

Definitely worth the search for this little gem. Really lovely staff...table service even just for a drink, which is rare and a nice touch. Nice coffee... though if you like it strong ask for two shots. Carrot cake lovely. Nice ambience and clean... As soon as anyone left, tables were cleaned and tidied. Staff very friendly and helpful about the area. The first coffee shop we were heading for was closed....am I glad... would have not been happy to have missed this place. Just goes to show number 2 on the list is sometimes the one to go for!!

Lovely café - excellent food with a broad menu for lunch. Huge range of tea available! Cheerful staff, and very accommodating for an infant too.

Honestly this cafe is a little gem! The paninis were incredible; I’d highly recommend them! The cakes were brilliant too! With lots to select from on the menu and all at reasonable prices, it’s a great cafe! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere too!
Highly recommend!!

Absolutely lovely little hidden away gem of a place! First visit and we will be back, service was spot on, lovely ladies and could not be any more helpful. There are GF options and I opted for a tuna sweetcorn wrap with red onion chutney. I was informed that on double checking ingredients the chutney did in fact contain gluten so this was substituted for a balsamic glaze. No extra charge for the GF wrap. My only criticism was the portion size was small, a forkful of coleslaw, a few leaves of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes (which I don't like) I was still hungry. Maybe some more salad or a few kettle crisps on the side would of been ideal. There are no children's options although I was told they could basically do whatever they would like which was lovely but a children's choice with a drink included would be a good idea. The jacket potato was really soft and a good size. A lot of sweet options included 4 GF, unfortunately two were chocolate orange flavours and I don't like them but the brownie looked amazing. It was busy today but this did not stop the service been fantastic. Before we left we were already discussing going back!

Lovely place to eat we have been lots of times and the food is amazing, we had the ice tea and a wrap the last time we went and it was lovely, there are also lots of cakes to choose from, the chocolate orange cake is my favourite. The staff are so friendly and very helpful

Food is wonderful, I've been about 4 times now over the last year and tried different things and have never been disappointed. Staff are lovely and welcoming.
Food is panini's, wraps, toasties and some other light bites, and cakes.

Very nice. Got a lovely coffee and gluten free cake. The lady was helpful and told us about their shop in the market. We went there and bought tea.

Cosy little spot in the centre of hull. Amazing selection of teas, wonderful coffee, and an amazing food menu! Really friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere, with a lovely outdoor courtyard to soak up the sun. Highly recommend!

Haven't been able to go to city centre for a while, but Liquid Jade was as delightful as ever. Excellent food, served in lovely, spotless cafe with friendly staff. Always a pleasure to eat there.

One of best cafés in Hull centre. Lovely staff, good tea and coffee, nice outdoor seating area behind the main street so nice and quiet, and good food. Love it.
P. S.
Called today for a coffee and pinini coffee the double shot coffee was perfect and the ham and cheese with red onion chutney pinini was cooked just right just off the beaten track in a courtyard this is a little gem will definitely be calling again

Needed a quick bite to eat and something to drink in Hull and came across Liquid Jade. It's not an obvious find as it's a little tucked away in a courtyard but what a place. Lovely food, friendly staff, modern and clean.

Visited this morning.I had the Falafel, pitta salad with a Matcha Latte and it was great. Will definitely go again. I definitely recommend x
P. L.
It was my first visit at Liquid Jade Cafe. I was quickly greeted by friendly staff as I entered. I sat at the outdoor sitting area at the back and had a matcha latte. The latte was delightful though I would have liked it a bit stronger. They offer a good selection of quality loose leaf teas too, which my friend had. There's also a selection of cakes if you fancy a carrot cake, Victoria sponge cake or muffin.
Definitely worth a visit if you're shopping around Whitefriargate and need a little rest & refuel.

What a beautiful hidden gem! My mum and I visited it today and could not be happier. Very friendly staff welcoming into a freshly refurbished cafe with delicious and fresh cakes. I had a lemon and poppy seed cake and my mum went for chocolate orange one, both were yumm! We will come back for a carrot cake and more ❤️
T. S.
Afternoon tea here was superb! We thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches and cakes. So much so that I probably ate my share in record time! Great value for money too, well worth it. Lovely staff, very accommodating.

Visited for the first time today, and I’m in love!
It’s set in a really sweet little courtyard away from busy the Whitefriar Gate. My coffee was lovely and lunch was really yummy. I will definitely add this to my list of favourite Hull places.
W. A.
Lovely! It feels like home. We were explained the notes and hits of their own coffee blend.
J.
The best carrot cake I have ever had !
B. P. (.
Lovely cafe that catches great sun despite the recluse location!
Came on lunch with some work colleagues and nabbed a wonderful spot outside on the couch where I could enjoy the sun.
Had some wonderful sencha green tea and a nice cheese and onion panini to tide me over.
The tea was brought out in a nice glass pot and they even gave us all little egg timers to let us know when our tea had steeped long enough which was a very nice touch!
HUGE selection of teas here and I'm sure there is something for everyone.
Good prices, nice service, very relaxing. Would recommend.
P. S.
Amazing choice of loose leaf and speciality teas, quality coffees, light meals and snacks and charming interior.

A hidden gem. Great choices of teas and healthy food. Perfect place to have a quiet moment and relax, specially on a sunny day as they also have a terrace available. Good music, clean, cool environment and very friendly staff. Too bad they don't open evenings or Sundays.
B. C.
Good friendly service. ..light lunch plus coffee excellent. ..outside seating available.
G. J.
Really liked this place. Quirky but relaxed with a nice feel about the place. Varied selection of teas which is great if you're fancying trying something a little different. Very well priced. A real find

A hidden gem. Best flapjack I've ever tasted, bar none, cozy, gently bohemian vibe, with tasteful decor, some 1960s icons in photographs scattered around, clearly showing Hulls strong music connections from back in the day. If you fancy a trip off the beaten path, you won't go wrong.
G. G.
Annoyed that I'd walked past it so many times without going in! In a town with a huge selection of cafés, I found this to really stand out. Very nice staff, great food and coffee. My advice is to push the big wooden door open and jump in.
e. o.

Tucked away at the back of Zebedees yard, this isn't the sort of place you'll find unless you're looking for it. The menu is small and a little lack lustre, more of a snack than food menu, but the cakes looked inviting. Service is at the bar and with a smile, but they only take cash, which knocks off a star for me. The second star deducted because we ordered crumpets with Wensleydale and expected it to be melted cheese on crumpets (as I think most people would) but it was two wedges of cheese in a dish on the side of the plate and a knob of butter. Not sure what the thought behind this presentation is, but if I'm paying £2.95 for crumpets I don't expect them to be self assembly! On the plus side, the coffee was decent.
K. B.
Super friendly staff. Really good food. Will be there again soon!
R. K.
Best coffee in Hull!!! I have been on the hunt for a decent coffee since I moved to Hull. Everywhere I've tried serves insipid milky coffee in giant mugs. Not Liquid Jade! Beautiful beautiful coffee. Now they just need to serve avocado and feta on sourdough and this Aussie expat will have a home away from home.
L. N.
