S. L.It was a lovely sunny sunday afternoon the park was busy with everyone enjoying themselves. We decided to pop in the cafe for a cuppa and toasted teacake as it wasn't very busy, but we was waiting in the queue for at least 20 minutes by this time the cafe was packed. There was only one girl serving she kept her cool and worked very well under pressure.
K. T.The food was ok but rather greasy and on the expensive side. We also got told off by one of the staff because our toddler was moving the tassels in the window so she could see the fountains I mean she wasn't aggressive with it and I made sure she didn't damage anything but it's hard to reason with a 2 year old. I think it was a bit over the top and scared our daughter.
K. G.Busy on a nice bank holiday. Staff was attending to a BBQ , aswell as clearing tables and serving. The lady serving forgot what we ordered and tried to charge us twice, it was very busy 😅
B. S.It became very nice place. I remember when we went few years ago there was shouting not really nice manager. Food is really nice. I can't believe how cute those little breads are served with soup

I.This cafe was lovely the staff are very friendly and polite, the food is freshly cooked I saw the toasted sandwiches being taken to the table and looked very tasty I had to order a cheese toastie. I have serious dietary requirements but the food I ordered was fine, there is a breakfast with santa so I hope to be able to attend this at the cafe with my daughter and Grandson. One thing I noticed although there isn't any signs up to state this please consider others and do not take a seat until you have ordered food and drink, there was ignorant families despite being told sitting at a table before ordering food which isn't fair on those people that have ordered food looking for a table to sit at. One family that did this only had a bowl of chips to share amongst each other, where as my daughter brought chips for her son, a tasty bacon sandwich for herself and I had a lovely cheese toastie and we all had drinks tea and coffee. M. R.What a wonderful little cafe. The quality of the service and the cleanliness is superb. The coffee is absolutely fantastic and the food is mouthwatering. The menu boasts a fine selection of sandwiches ,light lunches and a small selection of cooked lunches. The main trouble is leaving room for cake and believe me you just cannot bypass the cake. The inside facilities are bright and modern and there is ample outdoor seating amongst small fountain areas and beautiful views of the park
B. R.Called today in great anticipation of a sausage sandwich.....No hot food! Oh no, drove 14 miles! Still, don't suppose the kitchen is a nice place to work in this heat. So had a cake and a cup of tea. No napkins offered, had to ask for a wooden fork to eat with. I suppose its to offset rising prices. Shan't dash back till cooler weather, sorry..

R. H.Good café that'll make you a very nice coffee (if your drinking in). My only complaint is that they wouldn't give me a glass of tap water and made me buy a bottle of water on top of my order! Chocolate cake was a little dry too to be honest but we've eaten there a couple of times and will continue to do so no doubt.
D. H.Loved this cafe until today. We bought 2 coffees, 2 cakes and a milkshake and were refused a tap water having to pay another £1.20 for a bottled water despite already spending nearly £15 and the same last week when we visited. Only wanted the water because I had major surgery 2 weeks ago and needed to take my painkillers. If I had walked in the cafe and asked for a water and not purchased anything I would understand a policy of not giving it out but honestly I have never been to a cafe, restaurant, bar or anywhere really where I've been a customer and been told I can't have a tap water it's absurd.
K. P.Serves nice food and drinks. I'm partial to the hot chocolate as a treat, filtered coffee gives a nice hit of caffeine if that's your thing.
Being honest though it's a little expensive.
If your eating/drinking in. Use the front door.
If its take out your after. Use the back door.
Face covering and sign-in required if your entering the cafe.
Staff are friendly.
Take the early morning opening hours with a pinch of salt, its rarely or in my experience never open at 8:30 as advertised.

You can get lunch boxes made up, but order ahead. This place does vegan options and you can get lunch boxes that are fully vegan or half vegan and half normal dietary requirements.

D. J.What a lovely place to meet up with friends and have a coffee (or a superb 'full English', which we chose). Followed by a stroll around the lovely manicured East Park to burn off a few calories. This spacious cafe with big picture windows is made all the more welcoming by the friendly staff.

D. M.Love this place, been loads. Vegan picnic boxes both sweet and savoury are awesome. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Perfect location given that it's in the best park in east Yorkshire. Go there now!
P. F.Unfortunately this cafe didn't live up to expectations. The food was acceptable but the service was agonisingly slow and the clearance/cleaning of tables was slow too. Although she was trying her best, there was only one person serving at the counter which caused a lengthy delay. My mother had to ask for our table to be cleaned.
In addition, strange dogs were in close proximity of very young children which l would consider as being potentially unsafe. Whilst we were there, there were several occasions where dogs were growling and straining at the leash inside the cafe, trying to get at each other. Overall, l would not recommend this place.
B. R.The cafe serves good coffee and food at reasonable prices. If you're the owner of a well behaved dog they are welcome too. There are facilities for disabled people and children. The only minor problem is that queues can build up at busy times in good weather.
P. D.Nice place to be fair, just think it's a bit dear for the tea 🍵 and coffee ☕ although the foods very good.
H. G.Great place to have a coffee and a bite to eat, food is always spot on, with the majority of food being oven cooked not fried. You can also bring your furry four legged friend for their own sausage too. I would give this place 5* if some of the staff where a little more...chipper at times.

F.Excellent little cafe perfectly placed in the centre of East Park (probably the best of Hull's wonderful parks) serving a wide range of food as well as cold and hot drinks and some amazing homemade cakes. Everything is reasonably priced and can be done as takeout as well. Fantastic at catering to specific dietary needs with detailed allergy info up on their menu board.
Opening times are a little restrictive and it can be disappointing to find they've closed early afternoon, especially when the park is open later in summer. Watch out for days when ParkRun is on, as there can be big queues of runners at the end as well. These are only minor gripes though!

Queuing times just too long. Twice recently I have walked out.
They have a brilliant selection of GF/Veggie and vegan food but today I queued for 20 mins in a queue of 5. The poor young man was taking orders /money AND making all the drinks-how he keeps so calm and friendly I don't know. I waited a further 20 mins for the soup which today was lukewarm.
I normally visit at least twice a week but I fear they have become victims of their own success.
(Don't really see the purpose of the huge play pen which has arrived either-more tables would be better!

L.Always a great, friendly, packed place to visit. Only thing I would recommend is the staff do the cleaning of the floor after the cafe is shut, the floor cleaning products smelt very strong and not nice to have that when trying to eat a meal
