K. S.This spot was our favourite whilst living locally. Even during lockdown when take away was available, the staff were still so upbeat, welcoming and helpful. Post-lockdown the team were just as friendly and appreciative of business. The coffee is the best in the area and the cakes & pastries are to die for (former pastry chef!)

All very nice... very friendly staff. I did notice (and I was bothered) that none of the staff had masks on...such a shame.
But we had our masks on and was happy with that.
Bacon sandwich with granary bread was delicious, coffee was a little weak, but looked better than it tasted. Would recommend, do try out the bacon sarnie...

O. R.We sought out this restaurant for a late breakfast however they'd had stopped serving it at 11am.
However, we decided to give their lunch menu a try and I'm glad we did.
We both ordered the avocado/pesto bagel...delicious indeed.
The restaurant is casually comfortable with a pleasant outdoors seating.
The service was spectacular as were the price.
M. F.Popped into this little coffee shop while shopping on Ipswich. We had the best cakes I've tasted in a very long time. The lemon drizzle tasted of lemons and was lovely and moist, my husband had the lime and courgette, like wise, tasty and moist. The staff were lovely and friendly. I highly recommend this place. The main menu looked yummy too

S. S.Wonderful and whimsical little cafe with a beautiful garden area, top notch coffee and phenomenal food. The bagels they serve here are utterly exquisite, I wish I'd taken a picture to show it but I demolished it quick. I always come here either with my friends for chatting and catching up or by myself just for the pleasant atmosphere! Would absolutely recommend this cafe to people.
S. C.I have been a loyal customer since applaud first opened and often visit for their delicious coffee/food/cake and it has a special place in my heart. So of course when I recently got married I thought who better than the applaud team to make me some whole cakes for the day.
I ordered a chocolate and honeycomb cake, a lemon Lizzie and some millionaire shortbreads (untraditional wedding cake but something for everyone)
There was not a crumb of cake or shortbread left and was the fraction of the cost of a 'proper' wedding cake which for a smaller wedding budget was perfect.
I cannot thank the team at applaud for literally the icing on the cake of the day. 💖
