We had breakfast outside. We have not needed to step inside to place an order. Instantly we have received menus. As quick we had what we ordered too. Which was delicious. Crispy baguette, really tasty latte. Staff have pulled umbrella and turned on heating for us too. Lovely that they thought about that. Competitive prices.

Delicious. I had the mini English breakfast and my partner had a sausage baguette. When they arrived it looked quite small, however the quality of the food was excellent and it was cooked very well. The tea which came in a pot and not a mug (👍🏻) and the coffee were also good. And of course it was all enough and we left feeling full and satisfied. Great value for money and was simply delicious! Will be returning and would highly recommend.

We have gone to Blends since 2007 if not earlier. It has always had a high standard of service, comfort, friendliness and cuisine. I was rather saddened to note that their bacon and egg baguettes have been taken off the menu (they used a sweet cured Back Bacon to die for). "Their scrambled egg is as close to perfection as is possible. We took our son-in-law from Oxford in on Friday. He is still extolling it's qualities today

Wonderful place. Sat down very quickly. Service was was lovely and fast to order and to receive the food and coffees. Great vegetarian options I had a 10" tortilla wrap with pesto and feta cheese with salad. Tasted great and was just the right amount for a lunch. Would recommend to friends and family.

We visited Blends yesterday for a light lunch, was not sure what to expect after cafes re opened after lockdown but it was a pleasant experience and everything was very clean etc. Our waitress had proper PPE on as did the servers behind the counter. The food was really nice and fresh , and well presented. We had a prawn mayo sandwich and jacket potato with chicken & pesto. Lovely little cafe , would recommend and will definitely come back

I love this place, been coming for years. Had a family breakfast just now for my daughter before going to uni and the owner accommodated our table of five outside. The food was amazing as always and the service is excellent. We recommend the oatcakes and the waffles

I can't believe I didn't come across this cafe till this year.. I'm so thankful. The food is delicious and neatly presently. Flavours put together are lovely-they adjust and meet your dietary requirement without a hassle. The staff are highly skilled in customer service.. Very well dressed. And ate thoughtful. My child is always made welcome. We are always acknowledged at the start and the end. Highly recommended this cafe in town.. Been there 3 times already on less than few months. Such a lively treat. Visiting family in Ipswich. We're from Birmingham. Looking for somewhere to have breakfast and stumbled across blends cafe. Spotlessly clean cafe and facilities. Full English Breakfast well presented, hot and best cup of tea had since leaving Brum. Staff very friendly and professional.

Amazing staff happy to help someone in a bind even when closing. Thank you Blends. I wasn't aware this place existed til today but with polite and friendly people like that I look forward to visiting to try out their meals. The staff here were more than happy to help me out today when my child was sick after eating some food at Spoon World Buffet.They were closed, cleaning up, but happy to help me out and very accommodating considering they had zero obligation to even let me enter the premises.

I hardly visit Ipswich but I went into town early the other day as I had an all day tattoo session. I decided I needed to eat something for breakfast so popped into Blends. The outside draws you in as it's a very charming look. When i walked in I was greeted with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I suffer with major anxiety so it can be hard for me to cope in places I'm unsure of. The man behind the counter took my order which was for an omelette and a mug of tea. I found a table which was very clean and tidy like the rest of the place. Looking around I could see very nicely laid out tables. A dessert shelf counter with lots of nice cakes and snacks in. And also you can look out and see people walking past. Which as everyone knows is what British love best, people watching. I had my mug of tea bought over and placed on a nice little coaster. I waited not very long before my omlete came out. It was absolutely delicious. Whilst eating and drinking I noticed a lot of people coming into and from this establishment. They were met with friendly greets so I assumed they are all locals. I would recommend this lovely place 100%. Whenever I visit Ipswich again whether it's in the morning or afternoon, I will visit Blends for my breakfast lunch or other.

Always enjoy eating here and have been coming since I was a child, the staff are excellent and get your food to you quickly. The place itself is a rather simple looking cafe that has a cosy charm to it, the friendly staff top it off in order to make it come alive, very much a community feel when you're in there. There is rarely a wait for a table as waiting times are very low for food, we usually spend around 30 minutes there. I recommend the chicken and roast ham baguette (the coleslaw is so good, I need the recipe!), or the blends Olympic breakfast, you can't go wrong with either one.

Very limited space, literally sitting on top of the next table, definitely not disabled friendly, I use crutches an struggled to get past tables an then find somewhere to put them once seated, know where to put coat as seats to close to put on back of chair, my partner was unable to get legs under Table as next table had her coat on the chair an bag hanging, are his lunch holding plate on lap. Asked if catering for gluten free, had bread yippee, but then after eating discovered that the sausage in it wasn't neither was the mayo used in making coleslaw. My partner ended up really ill . On saying all of this, presentation was good, all hot, but fairly expensive, sausage ( one ) in sandwich, half baguette with cheese an one chopped up sausage to fill baguette, both with chips ( turned out to be salted crisps) an a spoonful of chopped side salad, an teapot for two came to an astonishing nearly £13 . Amazing as board outside offered breakfast 9 items for £4:95 served between 10-12 pm. It also won't serve drinks between certain times of day, couldn't get my head round that as everyone likes a drink with a meal !! If it hadn't of been for the waitress an presentation of food my rating would be lower. Won't be recommending or returning unfortunately . Forgot to mention that they will only allow maximum of six people to queue awaiting a table. I've know idea what would happen if you were to try an take a buggy in their, you would probably be asked to leave coz you were a fire hazard, one way in an out !! I could go on an on but won't bore you all !!?

Great place with lovely food and service. The chicken coronation sandwich is among the best I have eaten anywhere in Europe. In summer, the berry topped waffle with a dollop of ice cream is an absolute hoot!
