Great if you have little ones as you can enjoy a coffee while they play on the family area. Tasty coffee and amazing bacon sandwiches!

Our usual place was closed so thought we would try this quaint coffee shop/tearoom.Very reasonably priced, comfortable surroundings & attentive servers.Apart from a slight hiccup over salad dressing(& not getting 2 full cups per person from a 2 person pot)we enjoyed visiting here.My husband loved the seeded bread with his soup...& enjoyed the soup immensely.A lovely place to visit.

So much more!! This shop is truly a treasure hidden down “The Walk!” Offering a large selection of drink, baked goods, breakfast and lunch as well as many gluten free and vegan offerings. The courteous staff helps with your dietary needs and any questions you have. Be sure to seek out this shop while in Ipswich!

It was my first time to visit this quaint looking craft place. I only went in for a hot chocolate, but there were lovely cakes and savoury pastries on display. There was seating both downstairs and up - all well arranged so that out didn't feel crowded. Lovely crafts/ handmade items on display which just brought the atmosphere together.

Good food and friendly staff. Can also pick up shabby chic paints and goods....

First time my Mum and I went there and I've been pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, covid safe and firendly staff. Will go there again and will definitely recommemd it to my friends.

We wanted somewhere (that wasn't a chain) to have a coffee. We found this cafe. The coffee and cheese scone were amazing 😊 The Covid set up was the best we have experienced ~screens between the tables & a temperature check at the door. Excellent place.

Found this wonderful little Cafe by chance as we wandered in central Ipswich. Liked it so much we returned the next day. Excellent home baked produce on offer, friendly staff and a lovely eclectic vintage mix of fittings. Loads of character and a brilliant place for a pot of tea with freshly baked goods - including savoury, gluten free options. A must if you are in Ipswich.

I had a lovely lunch with my friend today. The food and service was excellent. I have been many times now and it is consistently good and excellent value for money. Operating a restaurant is both demanding, challenging and hard work! Sadly there are people who choose to vent their frustration publicly and set out to discredit good people. Try it for yourself you will not be disappointed

Love this store, came up from London with my girlfriend and wanted to experience something a little different from just Costa etc. This really is that, on a cut-through between two of the main streets it's nicely tucked away from the bustle whilst still being in the centre of town. Amazing staff were really friendly and the food is amazing.
Only downside is I just went in for a coffee and came out spending a lot more having bought loads of gifts for people! But I guess it isn't their fault they sell amazing gifts also!!

A very pleasant little cafe to have lunch and rest from shopping. Menu varied and interesting with really good coffee. Staff were extremely helpful and polite in ensuring we all had the extras we needed.

There is such a relaxed and relaxing atmosphere here. I love the menu options; the service is good; the food delicious and the crafty section delightful. We go there often and it is always delightful.

I absolutely love this coffee shop. Staff is great, really nice, smiley and professional. And of course food and drinks are great. From jacket potatoes with chilli, coronation chicken panini served with salad and crisps (and a lot more possibilities) , quiche with salad, minestrone soup... To the best chocolate brownies (gluten-free), orange and chocolate cake, red velvet, carrot cake, scones and muffins (and of course a lot more).
They do great coffees, like caramel latte (they have loads of different syrups), teas (black, green, infusions), hot chocolate, and milkshakes (my favourite is banana milkshake, as it is made with real bananas, not banana powder).
They also have a great selection of handcrafted stuff, locally made, such as handbags, jewellery, greeting cards, knitted stuff, scarves... And Annie Sloan chalk paints.
And now they have an area specially dedicated to children for them to play while you're enjoying your drink.
They also have vegan and gluten-free options, you just need to ask.

Hello,
I popped into Fishface with my wife on Saturday after my wife spotted it and thought it looked a nice place to stop for a mid-morning bite to eat and a coffee. We always like to support the stand alone, local coffee shops.
The reason for the three stars however is down to the frankly ridiculously long wait we had for our coffee in a cafe that didn't appear to be overly busy. We ordered two coffees, a scone and a sausage roll. After 22 minutes the coffee and scone appeared but unfortunately my sausage roll had been forgotten. The further frustrating part was the man who seemed to be preparing the food had been obliviously cutting lemons the whole time whilst the lady on the coffee machine appeared a bit stressed and over run by orders. Perhaps a bit of delegation needs to happen with the work load in the kitchen area?
However, to end on a positive note and hence the three stars and not any lower. The coffee and food were equally lovely and even though we had a very long wait and the food didn't all come together I wouldn't hesitate in giving Fishface a second chance based on the quality of the product alone.
I hope my review is taken as constructive criticism and I wish Fishface the best of luck.

Haven't been to Ipswich before so finding Fishface was a bit of a surprise.
Beautiful coffee and cakes.
But really lovely furniture, all quirky, and all for sale. If we weren't on the train we'd probably go home with some!
There are savoury snacks too, and a big cabinet for ice-cream

I like to hide away from the busy town centre in this amazing cafe/ craft shop/ course venue... so easy to forget you are in the town centre when you settle inside. Great selection of food and drink including gluten free and vegan options! Lovely staff and service here too.

A great place to stop and have a cuppa and vegetarian meal. The service was friendly and helpful.

Excellent coffee . Lovely cakes, many made on site, including gluten-free, dairy free
Good buzz. Special area for families in the basement too.

Friendly quirky little cafe with lots of character and home made food. Cakes look gorgeous. I thought there was a good veggie / vegan selection. Lovely porridge; I thought it would have been even better with a choice of topping, maybe dried fruits or nuts?

Right up my street I really like this cafe. My daughter and I only go here for our coffee and sandwiches because of the pleasant surroundings and lovely staff.

These guys set a very high standard for being covid secure: honestly compared to the few other places I have been to they are streets ahead with regard to secure clear screened tables, clean environment and staff that have face coverings. Despite the changes recently we have all had to face, they maintain a lovely selection of drinks and food - and vegan choices, all in their quirky, comfortable and welcoming style.

I visited the cafe, downstairs. They make a good cafe cargado. The atmosphere is friendly and distinctly 'shabby chic'.
