Reviews of Jaceys Coffee House
S. S.
A wonderful café perfectly located in town centre. The breakfast here is top notch and the staff always kind and friendly. The food is definitely worth the price and they always have an assortment of revolving specials, I tried their white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake once and I was absolutely obsessed! I always try and come here whenever I can and am never disappointed.

Lovely staff, very reasonably price items. Lovely lunch. It a shame it's not open in the evenings.

Quick pop into town needed a takeaway latte & quick bite to eat , found this little cosy quirky gem .
Lovely friendly staff happy to chat , delicious homemade sausage roll , they asked if I'd like it warmed up "yes please" , enjoyed the latte , a little detail I was impressed with once I'd found a quiet spot to sit down was the foil lined bag the sausage roll was in , obviously kept it warm & no oil seeping, easily pleased !
Highly recommend Jaceys .

Great coffee and tea meals are great to, there meals they have on board to me even better only problem toilets upstairs last time I was there, you can sit down stairs and outside. It's one of those cozy little cafe

Thought I’d give this one a quick review.
Came in with my son today just to kill some time owning my own cafe bar I thought I’d find myself been judgmental/picky, the opposite
This place is fantastic food is fantastic service fantastic and a lovely little spot.
I will be returning !!

Amazing food. Thank you for everything. But, can you put butter instead mayo on sandwich salmon and avocado, please. And your strawberry cheesecake so 😋 delicious
J. T. R.
Used to love coming to this place but disappointed at the no table service now, also food not as great as it used to be, cakes were dry, portions much smaller but still pleasant enough but becoming very average and place is looking a bit dated in my opinion..
H.
No nonsense builders café.
We really enjoyed getting breakfast here.
Very good value for money. Quick service. Great for a proper fry up and a big mug of coffee.
Reckon this is a great place to go the morning after a big night out.

What can I say about Jaceys coffee shop. The food is incredible and great value, home made to the highest standards. The staff are a pleasure to see and treat you like family, they attend to your needs. The coffee shop is clean and tidy to the highest of standards. Great place to stop whilst in town to meet with friends and family

Nice place but no table service which is hard when you are sat outside alone with a buggy and cannot leave your baby unattended obviously. The entrance isn't baby friendly but was a nice place to sit and have lunch outside.

This is a wonderful little cafe. How nice to go somewhere that isn"t part of a big chain. Reminded me a little of somewhere in Brighton. Lovely, friendly staff - sanwiches were great and it was full and jolly when we went in.
D. C.
Lovely reasonably priced food. Tasty & decent quantities. Would not hesitate to go back.
A. S.
Good food. Friendly helpful staff.
Our regular weekly lunch stop!

Oh,how I love this cafe.
Went here with my daughter, and my sister...on separate occasions. Had the club sandwich and chips and a pot of tea and the hot chocolate with a lovely flake finger making an appearance. Truly
delicious! Staff are both efficient and friendly. My companion,Zaviour would love it here.
C. C.
Superb. Fantastic food and very nice staff. Love the cosy vibes too. Will definitely be back!

Cannot fault the full English breakfast. It was lovely. Even had fried bread as a extra.
F. S.
Ppl friendly, food could be better, British breakfast was not done on the time, food was already cooked, not perfect for the price £9

For years I have walked past this place but never been in. First impression was good, plenty of seating and friend staff. Coffee was nice, the amount of cream was a little excessive!.
Food was OK, I wouldn't say I was blown away by it, and kind of expected a little better.
The whole place felt like it could do with a spruce-up. It isn't a greasy spoon nor a posh or quaint little tea shop. Somewhere inbetween.
A few basic DIY jobs and a bit of cleaning would tidy it up nicely. The toilet itself was clean, but the room was a bit dirty with cobwebs hanging form the light fittings. The fake flowers were dusty and in dire need of a going over with a damp cloth. Simple little things, that have clearly been missed for some time.
Response to Response-
They are indeed very simple dishes, which is why I was surprised the sausages were overcooked and the bread a little stale.
I can understand being open 7 days a week doesn't allow much time for upkeep, but shutting for a day once every now and then would be time well spent.
I will be sure to visit agin soon and give it another chance.

3 of us had brunch here, i had a vanilla milkshake, it was nice but a bit too sweet for me, & i had a tuna & cucumber baguette, with salad & crisp's. When it arrived i thought it looked a bit silly just putting a few crisp's on the plate but it did go very well with the baguette & i didn't need many as i had a bit of salad to eat with it too. The café itself is a bit of a Tardis, look's tiny outside but seem's much bigger once you get in with 3 section's, the last being down a few step's with lounger chair's & low table's, more atmospheric than the other section's with their dining table's & chair's. The staff are happy & helpful, I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderfully generous "breakfast club". Quality ingredients, freshly cooked and piping hot. Strong hot tea/coffee was included in the price.
It was a little dark, being surrounded by buildings. The warmth of the welcome and service canceled this out.
M. H.
I really enjoyed Jaceys. It was very authentic and I felt very welcomed. A lovely young girl called Sophie served me. Coffee was amazing, staff was amazing!!!!! Carrot cake was delish!
A. C.
Great little cafe. I took my toddler there for lunch and everyone was so accommodating. She threw a couple of tantrums as she got bored waiting for food, and not being able to move around freely due to covid restrictions. The customers were great about it, chatted to me and her. The staff came and chatted with her too although nothing made her happy until her food arrived! Tasty meal. 100% recommend.
B. S.
Amazing coffee shop, great menu, lovely food and lovely staff who cater to your needs when they can
R. C.
Jaceys was clean and had a system in place to make you feel Covid safe. You are given a menu on arrival and asked to find a table. Once you have looked at the menu you then go up to place your order giving your table number you are sitting at. Unfortunately they got one order wrong but gave me a choice of doing the order again or sticking with what I had been given by mistake, which I decided to stick with. Everything was cooked and presented nicely. Toliets were clean. Food priced right, overall a good experience and would have given them 5* if they had not got the order wrong. If in Ipswich and looking for breakfast or a light lunch then you won't go far wrong if you visit here.

I always enjoy a visit to Jaceys in town. The food is always very good and has that home cooked feel. They do cook it there from fresh.my favourites are the Welsh rare bit, quiches, jacket potatoes and cheese scones.
The staff are always lovely and service is very good. Prices are good to and you get a good size portion of food. Well worth a visit!
J. G.
Good pot of tea, toasted tea cakes were really good. Covid rules followed and sensible precautions in place.
If you are hungry or thirsty worth popping in.
T. R. (.
As always, the perfect place for a mid-shop beverage and a slice of cake. Jaceys have a varied menu of good homely food. Our favourite coffee shop 😋
C. C.
Lovely cafe,I really enjoyed my put of tea. Disappointed not to have time to sample the food on the menu.
R. S.
Just lovely home made food and proper tea! Perfect
C. Q.
First time going here and what a great choice it was. As soon as we entered we were greeted and advised where to sit and that they would be with us in a few minutes which gave us enough time to get seated and check out the menu. The food was excellent we had quiche & jacket potato with salad our only complaint would be there was not enough salad. Thoroughly recommend trying this place out plenty of seating with outdoor seating option. Well done all at Jacey's Coffee House.
A.
Nice friendly and relaxed place. Seating on ground floor, first and outside.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very accommodating and polite.
The menu is quite large with some bits you would probably not expect to see from a coffee house and very well made with good portion sizes. The coffee as you would expect is very nice.
Pricing is good too. Had a variation of a full English X 2 a hot chocolate, coffee and a juice for £25.
Would reccomend.
T. H.
We had a nice coffee and a bacon bap which was very tasty. Seating outside as well as in with nice friendly service.
P. A.
Haven't been here for a while until today, but so pleased that nothing has changed and it's just as good as it always was! Great menu with lots of choice, really good food very reasonably priced, quick and friendly service. Lots of seating inside and out. A great place for a drink, light snack or meal.
W. A.
Really good service and food here, came with two other people and had cream cakes and tea with sandwiches as well. Absolutely amazing! Not very often you find places like this 10/10 recommendation
j. h.
Really lovely cafe. Enjoyed the breakfast, quick service with a smile
A.
Awesome little place for a quick bite to eat in the middle of a day's shopping. The staff are extremely friendly, and the menu has a range of different choices for all types. Personally I love (I think it's called this) the B.T.U, but if you want something lighter they have those types of dishes too. They have a nice range of cakes on offer for those with a sweet tooth also. Once you're ready to leave just pop to the counter to pay.
J. S.
10 out of 10. They do not cook vegetarian food in animal fat & they do not cook it in the same oil as meat products. They also have a seperate fryer for vegan food. They are very friendly & didn't mind me asking, which is so refreshing! The food is great here too! Nice people & great food, what more can you ask for. Thanks guys.
J. H.
Absolutely wonderful place and a good atmosphere.
T. C.
Lovely food.Good portions.I love their tea(proper pot of tea with tea leaves). Now if the outside tables were a bit bigger....lol.
C. C.
Excellent cafe, wide selection of food.
Nice place.
C. K.
Super friendly. Great service. Great menu. It's everything you could want from a cafe and I'll keep coming back. Perfect location too. Dead centre!
R. K.
Always a great place to eat. Yummy food and good vanilla milkshake
R. S.
I love this café. Every time I return to Ipswich I return to this place for breakfast or lunch. They have a nice range in their menu but there specials change daily and certainly I go for them out of preference. Whether you drop in for just a coffee or for a full meal they make you feel welcome. I would give 6 stars if I could.
L. N.
Always great service and food here, with fantastic social distancing in place, made us feel well looked after. Great value too, always stop for a coffee when in town
N. C.
Lovely little old world style cafe. Tea made on leaves and homemade cakes. Staff were friendly and we even managed to hear the staff deal with what I and my group felt to me one of the most ridiculous of complaints from a different table in the most kind and professional of ways.
j. b.
Great food amazing gluten free quiche that tasted like my mum's!! 😊 They very kindly let us take our dog in which they don't usually do because the weather was so bad.
S. M.
This is a lovely cafe with a great menu, a great tea selection ( the Christmas blend is my favourite) and fabulous homecake cakes. Much better than the chain cafes/coffee houses all over town.
A. B.
Quaint. Good food, nice atmosphere. I always went on my own and never felt weird there. Fairly typical independent cafe. I like it and would recommend.
V. M.
