K. A.Love coming here for a coffee on a Sunday morning. Great coffee, delicious sandwiches and cake, and cosy seating. The folks running this place are top notch at service. Particularly, recommend the hot chocolate here!
S. H.Really great service. Lovely atmosphere and fab seating but the cake was so bad!! I hate to give this place a lower score, but I love redvelvet cake and this was really bad the texture, the taste, the lot. The tea was glorious though 😊 and they sell Yorkshire tea too!!
M. W.Had a coffee in lovely surroundings. Books from floor to ceiling. Coffee was really nice. My husband had his usual cake with his coffee. We were there at a quiet time but then again never found it noisy there.

The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful, the food is of a good standard as expected for a venue of this type, but the cakes looked a little unappealing - either a bit lacklustre or else extravagant, multi-tiered wonders, nowt in between. Toilets in a different floor which is a little inconvenient, but there is a lift nearby.

M. H.Stopped in Waterstones for a book and decided to lunch in the cafe. Lovely sandwiches and excellent coffee. Didn't have a sweet treat this time, but they looked very tempting. Service with a smile too .
The only downside was the very grubby toilets. These need sorting!

J. L.Cafe W...what can I say? It is THE BEST cafe in Lincolnshire by far. Amazing staff, great coffee, great food and the best atmosphere you will find in a cafe. All based in a great bookshop in the centre of Lincoln City.
You will not regret visiting, sitting it for a great coffee or pot of tea, soaking in the atmosphere and chatting to the awesome staff!
It's that good that we now live in Matlock and still venture down often for a day of coffee and food! ❤️
J. S.I was thinking of writing a review because of the excellent customer service I receive at this cafe 100% of the time. Then I saw the newest review and I knew that I had to!
The coffee from ALL staff members, not discriminatory based on gender is superb. The quality is second to none and each person takes the time and makes the effort so that the coffee you get is “just the way I like it”.
They are a credit to the company, every single one and the person who reviewed last should be ashamed of themselves.

K.Me and my friends and family always enjoy coming to the cafe! It has lots of choice of drinks, savoury and sweet foods. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and is very family friendly and all the staff are lovely, especially Harriet who always takes the time to talk to my Daughter and goes out of her way to help me, like carrying my tray if I'm on my own with my baby. Great place ! 😊

L. W.This is now officially my favourite coffee stop. Set within the books on the first floor the atmosphere is relaxed and chilled. The coffee is freshly made only in half the time it takes at Costa or Starbucks. It's also much better value. The fresh cakes are delicious too.

I went in just before Christmas and there wasn’t a single Christmas decoration in store. The barista was wearing an elf hat but apart from that there was nothing festive or particularly welcoming considering the time of year.
I suppose this is so no one is offended in this sensitive time of political correctness. Still seems a shame considering how festive the rest of the high street looks.
But as I said, lovey coffee, lovely staff, nice place so would recommend though I’d suggest getting some tinsel up.
H. G.I like this new cafe venture. It has a real independent feel about it. The coffee is very good and there is a sensible range of food on offer. The atmosphere is much more lively and friendly than in the old Costa franchise. People seem to be happier when they are there. I'll be going again.

D. F.A-mazing! The vegan chocolate brownie was awesome and that’s a huge compliment from me considering I’m not a foodie. The service was quick, seamless and the young lady who served me was simply delightful. Of course I picked up a loyalty card !
