What a find.
Fantastically dog friendly cafe.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Lemon Scones are a revelation and highly recommended give them a try.
Situated at the bottom of Steep Hill load up to take on fuel before tackling the hill or take a break and chill if returning down the hill.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic lunch here today, dropped in quickly by chance to get out of the rain and get a hot drink but so glad we did
The entire mood of the place was just so pleasant, everyone working was really friendly and welcoming, good to see signs up very friendly to LGBTQ+ customers
The menu is lovely with a good amount of options for differing dietary needs, they had an absolutely delicious coffee and chocolate cake that turned out to be both vegan and gluten free!
E. C.
Lovely place, if I lived there I would be in there all the time, cake is so delicious and made by the lady who runs the tea room. This is one of the best tea rooms I have been in, and I have been in many. Also love the decor. Make this your shopping break place for a reviving coffee, its a must.

So many good coffee shops in Lincoln and this is another. The coffee is Good.
The CAKES are FANTASTIC.
I had the honey, orange and ginger cake. A ginger cake with an orange flavoured topping. So good, so large, so delicious.
The savory food looked good too, but I needed cake. A sugar rush to get you up Steep Hill.

Fabulous homemade cakes, (the apple pie cake and caramel apple blondies were amazing), in a friendly and intimate cafe with a sewing theme... Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous little gem.
The cakes were to die for and the hot chocolate was literally big enough to bath in..
The staff were amazing, really friendly and nothing to much trouble.
So don't put your money into the big brand coffee houses, spend it here, help a small business and treat yourself to the best...

Really nice little cafe, very friendly. My family was made very welcome. Food and drinks were very nice but the cakes are to die for. Well worth a try.
A. M.
Cute little cafe with delicious desserts and tasty drinks. Hot chocolate was on point. The staff is lovely which creates an amazing atmosphere. Vegan options are available. Would definitely come again and would recommend visiting!
L. B.
Great little coffee house, unique interior and great cakes and drinks. The jammy dodger cake was particularly brilliant! 👏
M. J.
Lovely place for coffee or tea. It's tiny which makes it so special and cosy. Very nice decorated and full of beautiful details. Coffee was great and scones with jam and butter very tasty. Sandwiches looked also delicious. Perfect Sunday afternoon.

What a treasure at the bottom of Steep Hill - this quaint little coffee shop is quiet, cosy and full of sewing stuff. It's a real delight. Great coffee, delicious baked goods (with a range of gluten free and vegan options) and delicious sandwiches and light lunches. I can vouch for the haslet sandwich with crisps and homemade coleslaw. Would definitely go back next time I'm in town.
K.
Love this place! Popped in to get some cake and then came back the next day to eat in 🍰. The cakes are huge and change daily. The interior is beautifully ✨ upcycled and super cosy ♥️
Will be back x

Popped in a couple of days ago for lunch. The decor is lovely, I don't know, maybe if it were a busy period it might have been better. As it was I ended up on my own in the cafe, listening to the overly loud and slightly sweary conversation of the two staff and their mate (I'm happy that they once had a 2 hour nap, I really am). The bean panini was a bit of a disappointment, a little bland but not horrible. Would've considered ordering cake (they looked great) but as the world's dullest but freakishly loud conversation moved on to that time someone got ghosted by their Norwegian Internet friend, I had to escape.
L. F.
Lovely cafe, loved the tables. Clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Ordered a panini which was huge and full of filling. Cakes looked delicious but I was too stuffed to eat one. Would go back.

First visit and such a find!! Wonderful choice of food and drinks. Try Lincolnshire plum loaf with the goats cheese , chutney and homemade coleslaw !!!! The theme and 'bobbin' connection is related to the owner's history of dressmaking. See the photo where the original fireplace would have been there in 18c.

Beautiful coffee shop nothing to much for staff lovely drink and cake

What a shame!
I had heard good things about this place and the cakes I had seen on Facebook looked amazing.
We have just visited and I can confirm that the cakes indeed are amazing and the decor too was good.
Unfortunately our experienced was partially spoilt by a scalded flat white and a long wait for the cakes, but mostly by the behavior of the staff.
They spent the whole time talking loudly about how they were bored of their jobs, how the directors don’t have children, how some people were given secret pay rises, that no one was in charge.
It was obvious that at least the part about being too bored to do their jobs was true, due to the length of time we had to wait for our cakes.
I’ve come away knowing far too much about the staffs’ personal lives and internal politics of the business, which has put me off future visits.
Update: the owner has reached out to us within 2 hours and is looking into the points raised. This is a good sign.

Lovely independant cafe up Steep Hill, lovely food and drink. Ordered the soup of day? Pea and Ham - quite thick but extremely delicious. Great friendly service. Would highly recommend
F. W.
Absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere, really warm and cosy. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the hot chocolate was enormous, and they were more than generous with the cream and marshmallows! I'd definitely recommend this little gem to anyone looking to have a chat and a hot drink.
G. B.
amazing adorable little coffee house :))
Ash and Sam were the best!! the sweetest people ever
amazing atmosphere <3
A. P.
Food was lovely and it's nice that pretty much everything can be made gluten free. Only downside is a staff member really made you feel unwelcome, but that's one person on one day and the gf cheesecake was lovely!
R. M.
Wonderful place. Had afternoon tea which had an amazing selection of cakes. Beautifully presented by welcoming staff. The sewing theme is quirky. Definitely worth a visit.
p. b.
Very friendly staff with great coffee and very large slices of cake. Will be back when next in Lincoln

Cosy coffee shop, fantastic cakes & paninis.
Sticky toffee cake, carrot & orange cake 👍😊
A. M.
Lovely "slab" of cherry bakewell and hot chocolate 🍫 😋 ♥ very polite attentive staff
G. S.
Fantastic cafe. Well priced and very nicely presented plates of good honest food. I love the sewing theme throughout the place. Highly recommend for a good cuppa or a meal.
l. h.
Lovely little hidden gem.
We had a wonderful time today, we felt extremely welcome. The cakes looked amazing, we had a brownie and it was sensational! Highly recommend, for a pit stop before the big climb!
a. b.
A cosy space to relax while meandering through steep hill in Lincoln. Tasty home made cakes sew up the offering. But darn it, I couldn't have their scones that day! Still, it measures up nicely.
P. L.
Mocha was delicious but cake was on the dry side. Order and pay at the till. Service was friendly, but a bit slow on getting the food and drinks after ordering.
C. F.
We were made to feel so welcome with our entourage of 6 adults, toddler and dog.
The service was amazing, the coffees were great and the cakes were simply devine. Cannot recommend this wonderful coffee shop highly enough...
M. S.
Great coffee and good panini's. Cosy and welcoming.
T. L.
This is a lovely, quirky coffee shop on the strait in Lincoln with sewing memorabilia.
The guy serving was great, and the cakes looked delicious.
L. C.
Small but lovely shop. Quite large portions. Lovely sewing related decor.
A. D.
Great delicious cupcakes from Lois @ Coffee Bobbins – mouthwatering vegan treats in raspberry, choc-orange, lemon and Biscoff. 100% recommend. Also did brother in law's wedding. Check them out!! Very helpful.
D. C.
The cheesecake was decent, black forest gateau was very stingily filled but looked better on the outside, a real disappointment and the treacle tart was disgusting. However, I've been here before and it was nice. They have fantastic beverages and nice sandwiches, beautiful surroundings that make you feel good. So I would go again and perhaps refrain from having any cake!
D. P. (.
Visited after being recommended by my sister-in-law. I have to say it was one of the best recommendations I've been given. The ladies were lovely. Very pleasant and friendly, they really make you feel relaxed. The cakes are so moist and delicious. I had a cherry poke cake and my daughter had the chocolate Oreo cake, both were excellent. I don't get to Lincoln very often, but I will be going back when I visit next
W. B.
Well worth the walk!! An amazing place, very nice food. The one lady running the place works hard but is always happy to stop and chat. A great little food place.
J. K.
Had my hen party here for afternoon tea. The ladies were amazing, great service, couldn't do enough for you. The food was very very tasty. Definitely go here again
R.
Lovely food, fast service and a quaint interior, but the experience is really made by the lovely couple serving everyone. Absolutely love their kind nature and banter with the customers, can't wait to return!
J. F.
We adored this little coffee shop, very cosy and the staff are lovely and very attentive and the coffee is great. If you like to sew you will love this quirky little shop.
H. F.
Brilliant. On holiday In Lincoln looking for somewhere to eat gluten free.
I walked into this cafe & asked if they catered Gluten Free. I'm coeliac turns out the owner has a friend who is coeliac & did she know her stuff! Even knew I couldn't have a certain product as it had Barley in it. Wow. Makes a change from people only knowing about wheat. Offered me gf alternatives where possible.
Everything made separately and using seperate cooking utensils.
I will be back.
A. G.
Coffee and cake stop , never a bad visit . Would recommend , it is small though so not lots of space x
H. B.
Amazing staff, friendly atmosphere and the interior is gorgeous! My favourite cafe in Lincoln.

Popped in here on the off chance. Lovely, homely little place, really friendly. We shared a panini and the owner came over with another plate dressed with a side salad. Highly recommend and would visit again if in the area.
A. C.
Excellent food and very friendly. Went the extra mile to ensure we got a table. The cakes were amazing.
V. W.
Quirky and unique. The lemon scones are a total dream!
K. M.
Taking the panini to another level. Absolutely delicious. Just what we needed after a 3 hour drive to drop off our son.
M. F.
Probably the best scone I had in a long time. Lovely place to stop for a drink. Unfortunately decaf Cappuccino wasn't available, that's why I gave them 4 stars.
I'm looking forward to my next visit for a scone and please bring decaf options.
G. J.
Went for afternoon tea cosy cafe friendly staff. Very quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. Lovely fresh food and a good selection of mini cakes. Tea was a bit weak. Would recommend a visit
G. C.
Lovely place.. cakes were amazing
L. L. L.
Amazing little cafe. Enjoyed the Welsh rarebit and chicken and mozzarella bagel with my husband. The staff were all lovely and let us bring our little rescue sausage dog/bassett in with us and provided a bowl of water for him without us asking. Quirky inside and delicious food. The cake (Brownie and rocky road) is out of this world!!!♡A tasty amazing first lunch for our stay in Lincoln. Thank you Bobbins☆
G. L. C.
Fabulous cafe! Very dog-friendly. Great cake (and massive slices!). Highly recommended.
M. L.
Lovely little coffee shop. Food good but far too expensive, £20.60 for 2 toasties, 2 small coca cola and one slice of cake. Service good but waited time very long.
M. H.

J. L.
Always lovely, have been in quite a few times over the last year. Recently went in after it was taken over. Place was a little messy but hopefully it's just 'finding their feet'. Still giving 5 stars and will wait and see if it really was a one off
K. S.
Lovely freshly cooked food and staff, great atmosphere. Perfect for a long lunch with friends or a hot drink with a baked goodie. Beautiful interior, very cosy, chilled and comfy. Highly recommend.
