Lovely little spot in town. Only came here to write a review about the barista Callum. Came in with my brother and friend. He was very kind, friendly, and couldn’t have been more helpful. A total asset to the team, and a star employee. Thank you for brightening our day! :)

Not sure why but the window tables were stacked with chairs on top when we visited at 4pm despite the cafe being advertised as open til 6pm. Could understand if it was 1/2 hr from closing but felt like we were being hurried out.

Not very clean. The lady got my order wrong twice, before getting in a mood and finally getting it right a third time (I only ordered a regular caramel latte, nothing special). Definitely need friendlier staff and better cleaning. I didn’t go in when it was very busy, so there’s no excuse for dirty toilets, empty plates and tissues all over the tables, etc.

Went back to try it again, the guy with the beard makes a damn fine cappuccino. Not overly rich which is the mistake of many coffee shops, just balanced right for the morning. Also it didn't have that slightly burnt taste you often get. I was very much impressed.

Probably the better of the other Costas in the area because it's larger and overall more comfortable. Drinks are a bit expensive like in any other branch, but otherwise nice, and include different milk options. I would especially recommend the Vanilla Latte with soy milk.

Don't normally use this coffee shop(Nero normally) Had coffee and toastie only to see toasties reduced minutes later yet i was charged full price...could of said and offered me the same price.

The barista was the loveliest person ever, I'd had a tough morning and there was a bit of a queue in Costa she was the only person serving but made sure everyone was catered for when I ordered I asked for a chai latte and she told me that there was no chai but she was so polite and very kind in the way that she said it even though she was clearly very stressed and worked off of her feet. I asked for just a normal latte instead which she made and asked if I wanted gingerbread syrup in it so that I would get a similar taste from it. I declined but once she had finished she asked if I wanted cinnamon. I understand that it is part of her job but so many Batista's in a situation like that lose their politeness and kindness because of the stress and want people to move on quickly. The fact that she still offered me the closest thing and thought on her feet was the best service I ever had. She gave me my drink and told me to have a nice day. If I was that barista I can 100% guarantee that I would not have been as kind or patient nor would I be able to take multiple orders at once and keep a queue of people happy. I am not sure what her name was but she deserves a promotion or at least a pay rise but don't take her away from this Costa as every time I go in from now on I am going to hope that it is her.

Coffee and tea good as usual. Only negative was the toilet very grubby. Grab rails pitted and dirty floor wet with loo roll everywhere. Quick wipe round and mop on the regular sorted

Fab I love it here they do brilliant coffees lattes teas yes they are expensive but worth buying I find this place clean friendly happy place to come to have a cuppa or snack. It does get busy sometimes depending what time of the day sometimes queues can be long and slow service but they always serve you with a smile and are happy to serve you. Their cinnamon lattes are to die for really lovely

It's always quite cold in there and the lighting is dark and blue! There's always a queue and the staff get through it rather quickly, but the drinks we ordered weren't hot - just luke warm - and the lady that served me didn't write down that I asked for cream and caramel syrup... I only ordered that one drink! Lots of seating options though and it's in a good location in the town centre.

Fast service even during a busy period, disnt have to wait more than about 10 minutes from walking in to getting coffee, and staff were not rude which is as good as you can ask for when they're rushed off their feet. Coffee itself was great as always, came fast, hot and the level of flavour and syrup additions was perfect.

Cant fault the coffee or the food. What was annoying was 2 staff serving and 2 staff were at a laptop either discussing stock or appraisal, whilst upstairs the tables were dirty full off pots and customers were moving the pots so that they could sit at an empty table.....very disappointing. I also had cause to use the toilet which again was not very clean and the floor was wet through.

In the midst of Covid-19 preparations Costa had arrangements thoughtfully tended to, ensuring a relaxing, safe environment for mid shopping coffee - essential for carrying on after. 👍

Popped in found the place of little bit too crowded was waiting a while to get served I had my drink sat on the side but none of the staff let me know they were my drinks so I actually had to ask them

Arrived at 17.01 and placed order for 2 coffees and 2 toasted teacakes. Young gentleman Barrista incapable of producing more than 1 coffee at a time.......consequently with only 2 orders in front of mine, teacakes arrived ten minutes before coffee completed....i.e.cold toasted teacakes!! Grrrrrrrrr.... Can't abide slow service... 15 minutes to get simple order. I will think twice before coming to this branch again !!!

I've always been a Costa girl, I love everything about this place, I can go in and chill for however long it takes, sometimes quite long with a book and a flat white, if I was to mark it down it would be peak times and tables not cleared and cleaned quick enough, maybe staff should have their lunches off peak time, or employ more staff, but all in all staff are very friendly, and cooperative,,

this branch always seems to be somewhat understaffed but the employees are always so corteous, friendly and helpful - the other day, i ordered a hot drink and an iced drink but, because they were severely understaffed, they had run out of ice and had no way to get any more at the time: the lad at the counter was so apologetic and gave me the one drink they could make on-the-house. i hope that person gets a raise :)
