We decided to take a pass on the local Costa and give Dapa Coffee a try today 02.10.2022. After calming T-Reb we entered quietly and found a quiet spot that resembled the local National Park. Lovely peaceful little coffee house with cakes and beers for use on the school run. Back to what you want to know, Latte and coffee Orio Cookie concoction that the lovely member of staff advised that she normally does as a bit of a show stopper on both were amazing. We shared as you do Lemon cake and Rocky Road both well especially the Rocky Road one of the best richest tasting versions we have had. Good show all round special thanks to the member of of staff with the show stopper good to have share a bit of pride in what you do it makes a difference in whatever we do, thanks again.

I recently moved to the area and one thing I love is a good coffee and I found it at Dapa Coffee. Despite there being other coffee shops in the village, this place has everything covered. I have to say, i’m fussy when it comes to coffee but Dapa has a great variety. My oat milk latte was incredible! There is a nice feel in the place and a range of seats/tables both inside and outside. They even have my favourite beer on draft… Moretti! What more can you ask for? Oh yes, and they got you covered if you are a vegan too!! Also, I love supporting local independent businesses, especially in these current times. The staff are helpful and polite too, this goes a long way. Dapa, I will be seeing very soon. 👍🏻🙏🏻

Nice sunny day so lots of people sat outside, coffee/ drinks brought to you so no long queue at counter. Option to order from table. Friendly young wait staff. Had heard bad reports but would definitely go back.

Visited this morning for the first time. Normally go to Cafe Nero despite it being a bit of a dump, because I like the coffee. Won’t be going anymore after trying Dapa. Everything was perfect, and the coffee is better than Cafe Nero and Costa. I’m converted…👍 Update…. Now they don’t allow to go in with your dog. That’s a shame, back to Cafe Nero .

A warm, friendly and super relaxing atmosphere for that much needed coffee fix, along with many delicious cakes to boot. DAPA is unmistakably the smarter choice. Such a great place. Love it here.

Stopped here for coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Overall, most things were on point but the coffee itself was terrible, to our tastes. Staff are helpful and friendly, accessibility was good. Good choice of indoor and outdoor seating and an order from table system using QR codes was available but not compulsory. Good range of baked goods, staff are allergy aware and information is on display. The cafe was clean, tidy, nice decor, well lit. A range of coffee and teas and a range of dairy alternatives are available. Would've scored 4 stars easily if it weren't for the coffee itself, which was very weak. A black americano was served in a glass mug which just highlighted the fact that the coffee was transparent. It looked like it was made with one small shot of espresso and a lot of hot water, whereas all the main chains use two shots for a S/M americano. You definitely shouldn't be able to see through it and it tasted like tainted water, rather than coffee. My oat milk latte was similar in that it was a perfectly pleasant oaty hot drink, but only a mere hint of any coffee. It warmed me up though. I'm guessing that regular customers here may prefer weak coffee?? We chose this cafe to avoid the chains and go somewhere independent and local. Everything else was very good but the actual coffee, the main point of our visit, was lacking, er, coffee, along with any flavour, body or kick.

I have just moved to FORMBY and I am looking forward to trying the local businesses. I came across DAPA this morning, as it seemed to be the only place open. Lovely coffee, quick service and the staff member was very chatty and polite. Coffee was lovely and altered to my preference, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend.

Third visit since opening, service is amazing, welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. Even offered a table upstairs for a private meeting. Coffee is brilliant too!

Lovely new independent cafe with comfortable seating good coffee and a limited but tasty menu. You do have to wait a while, this is not the place to grab a bite on the go, they bring your drink/ Good to the table and that takes time but worth the wait.

Popped into Formby after work and decided to check out Dapa Coffee. Went with a large latte which was excellent. We also sampled the caramel shortbread which was simply delightful. We will have to return to try the other food options. We would recommend a visit to support a good, new coffee shop.
