Reviews of Artigiano Espresso and Wine Bar
S. N.
Great place next to Saint Paul cathedral. Impressive selection of sandwiches, cakes and a good coffee. The service is good. Also, the wifi connection is strong.
Downstairs is a little quieter. When it's summer, there are tables outside.
R. G.
Went into grab a coffee. Friendly staff, lovely decoration and the whole place has some homey warmth to it. Can only recommend!
W. O.
Awesome coffeehouse right next to St Paul 's. I was disappointed by the tea as they didn't let it steep long enough and for two servings the portion was very little bit well oh well, still worth it for the location and ambience. Maybe order something other than tea at a coffeehouse 😆😆😆
J. E.
Good coffee, friendly staff, and an all-round pleasant vibe
M. P.
Super chilled on a Saturday. The savoury food is good, although my muffin was sadly dry. On the brightside, you can start with a coffee and move on quickly to a cheeky pint.
m.
Good ambience and great coffee
W. V.
London is not famous for its coffee, you probably know that but this place is! Good espresso and other cafeine beverages. They have good music, free wifi, breads and beers. Skip the bloody starsucks and visit these guys!!
O. G.
Lovely little cafe with great cake selection even for the health conscious. And being in Paternoster Square the views are incomparable from the outside seating area.
A. W.
Great cocktails and service. The bartender, Nic, was really friendly and enthusiastic, and the prices are good for the area.
A. K.
What a truly outstanding Espresso and Wine Bar - delightfully decorated and artfully arranged. Great place for chilling out or for meeting up and holding some meetings while relaxing in a fantastic atmosphere. Very happy to have found this place and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and it saved in my favourite for when I am around this area again.
B. D.
Perfect for relaxed drinks right next to St Pauls
A. B.
The coffee here is amazing, and I can emphasize this enough. I've been having my coffee here for over a year, once, or twice a day and it never disappointed.
Everybody here is very friendly, always open to have a chat, making going here a very enjoyable experience.
I really like the concept too - of being a lunch/coffee place during the day and transforming into a bar at night, with really good drinks and pizza - I can vouch for both, everything is really tasty!
t. s.
The cafe is quite rowdy for a business meeting, so better to go for an early lunch or early afternoon coffee, if you want to be able to hear yourself think.
Coffee is ok, but not a table which one might expect from a wine bar.
Nice nod to the city in the eighties in terms of theme though.
S. B.
Very smooth coffee blend. Lots of sitting space, friendly stuff, good vibe. The location couldn't be better, with windows facing the garden at the back of St Paul's cathedral. There is also a downstairs area which I didn't expkore. I would recommend for business and pleasure.
P. K.
Nice latte in a good size mug! Seating outside, upstairs and downstairs. Was here for a meeting and was quiet enough to talk with still having atmosphere. You can reserve a table though which I would recommend we met at 3pm and it was very busy! It got quiet from just after 4pm
D. A.
Great little coffee shop/bar, friendly staff and good coffee. Great for a quick meeting.
S. C.
Nice selection of coffee, food and cakes. There is generally enough space to sit although it does get quite packed with people, especially around lunch time. To be aware of, Later in the day they stop serving coffee and switch to only alcohol, so if towards the end of their opening hours you will have to find somewhere else.
C. C.
I really like this place. They have a separate station for cocktails, pint pulling and coffees, so shouldn't take too long to get your drink. Reasonably priced, and just outside St Paul's cathedral... noice.
Not much of a queuing area, and seating is a bit sparse. Other than that, nice for a local drink if you're in the area. Not too classy, not too crappy.
N. H.
Ordered mocha and espresso, mocha was not using actual chocolate and the only real taste was milk, the texture was good though. Espresso was acidic but didn't seem to have any particular flavour.
Was advertised online and on door to close at 6pm but was rushed to order quickly as they closed at 5pm this day
R. N.
Decent coffee, friendly staff
G. W.
Impressive selection of sandwiches, cakes, etc, good coffee, great service, good wifi and power outlets if you need to work.
Downstairs is a little quieter, tables outside for when it's sunny, and booze is also an option.
One of my favourite places when I'm in the area.
s. d.
Good selection of alcohol and very friendly service
X. W.
I came here early on a Saturday morning before a walk around the area. The coffee was above average and pastries were on par. Service was a little slow even though the room was a third full at best. Proximity to St Pauls means it will get busy during the tourist periods and full of city types during commuter hours, but it's peaceful in the middle period of the morning. Certainly better than other coffee chains in the area so come here instead of relying on what's familiar.
A. J.
Superb cup of coffee, great atmosphere inside and very friendly table service. On a sunny day the outside tables overlooking St. Pauls Cathedral and away from traffic noise are just the best.
M. A.
Seriously the best flat white in the world! If you haven't tried it please do highly recommended.
Now the service in the place is off the hook, James, Anca and C (Lithuanian brother) are like family, always making myself and the professor feel like home.
I have recommended Artigiano to all coffee lovers.
A. L.
Nice place to end the day with a few beers & live music.
B.
Good place for a coffee or a sandwich during the day, or a drink and pizza at night. The outside seats have great view of St Paul's. However the coffee is not as good as Coco di Momo a little walk away.
M. M.
The croissant and latté I had were perfect. We came when it was raining outside before visiting the cathedral... it was the peak cozy-coffee-shop-ambience I have ever experienced.
G. C.
Good coffee and atmosphere A bit on the small side and layout does make it seem a bit confusing. Good spot to have a meeting, healthy amount of background noise and conviently a few metres from the tube station
D. H.
I really like this place! Right under the the towering St. Paul Cathedral with great views, this place with its fantastic selection of English and International craft beer and good coffee and snacks is an oasis of quality and individuality in an area overrun with chain establishments.
S. C.
Cool place and friendly staff etc, but they can't make a decent cappuccino! 3rd time in a row and they were all the same... Back to the chain coffee shops for my morning cappuccino unfortunately
D. A.
Highly recommend. Great atmosphere, can get a bit loud. The coffee is great and has a huge bar selection.
M. C.
Interesting mix of bar and cafe on the edge of the grounds of St. Pauls cathedral. Not particularly great place, a bit soulless, but fine for a quick pick me up or somewhere central to meet friends.
R. G.
I've been coming to Artigiano for a couple of years now, having previously gone to the big 3 (Nero, Starbucks, Costa). I have to say the best thing about Artigiano at St. Paul's would be the friendliness of the staff. Artigiano's USP is that it's a cafe by day and a bar by night. It's hard to stay away!! They're more than accommodating when hosting events. I love this place and it would be great to see more of the Artigiano brand around. Let's topple the big 3 together people... :))
R. I.
Nice place. Good coffee... has veggie options and serves alcohol..
Pricey? Not really.. compared to central London..
S. A.
Excellent coffee, limited selection of sandwiches for lunch (good quality if not exactly cheap), decent beer in the evening. Located on the N side of St Paul's.
P. P.
Great coffee and food. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere.
T. M.
Coffee and beer is great. Chairs are comfortable.
e. e.
An epic caramel slice. An amazing flat white. The staff were very friendly and the line was quick.. all the cakes looked superb.
I'm coming back for more!!
K. M.
I'm a regular here for coffee sometimes lunch. Nice staff, good food, good atmospheres. Prefer this to the chain coffee shops.
K. J.
Great music from Fox Jackson.
R. K.
Quick service, seats available, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Can't rate the coffee: had tea. I'll come back...
J. S.
One of the very few coffee shops that I go to since moving to London. I am very picky so not only are the barristers and coffee great, but all of the staff and so friendly and obviously love their jobs.
I. H.
Its difficult to find a place that sells good coffee around touristy locations like this but I enjoyed the coffee here. Friendly staff too
S. G.
One of the best places to get coffee in the area, but very popular so service sometimes a little slow
B. M.
Best coffee in London, great food for lunch and snacks and a excellent atmosphere. The staff are usually very lively and welcoming.
A.
This was a cute little coffee spot. Overlooking St. Paul’s but not touristy, nice place for an after work beer too!
A. B.
Beautiful place and gorgeous coffee but feel the customer service was lacking slightly in friendliness and approsxhability.
M. R.
One of the very few coffee shops that I go to since moving to London. I am very picky so not only are the barristers and coffee great, but all of the staff and so friendly and obviously love their jobs
L. N.
The basement area is a cosy little place. Only had drinks but service was fast and friendly. I would return.
A. B.
Unbelievable customer service. From the moment you walk in, till the moment you leave, all of the staff are attentive and courteous. Well done Artigiano - outstanding service, equals a really memorable experience.
O. L.
Great coffee and wine bar. Nice atmosphere both day and evening. The baristas are particularly fantastic.
M. M.
Great service and decently priced drinks. Few seats outside too so we could enjoy the sun while it lasted.
P. A. -. P. T. M.
Just behind the st Paul — a quiet place, worth to visit. Coffe is 8/10.
T. H.
Good selection of sandwiches and cakes for lunch, then turns into a trendy City bar by night with a wide drinks selection including some great craft beers and ales.
C. B.
Good quality food and great coffee. Take something quick for lunch or come back after work for a wine.
W. F.
Great spot outside St pauls. Fine selection of beer, however they stop doing coffee fairly early.
