A lovely cafe with good food options. Some options are better than the other so I tend to order my regular food. Staff are nice and there is a downstairs kids playroom which is really helpful when taking the kids there. Like there cakes options as well specially mosaic cake

Very tasty food and extensive menu, if a little on the pricey side. The place is explicitly aimed at an organic/sustainable/vegetarian/etc clientele, and even styles itself as 'The Home of Organic', so it was very disappointing to see drinks being served in single-use plastic cups, even for people dining in... especially as there is a big sign on the door saying all their packaging is environmentally friendly and compostable!

Fab cafe with loads of vegetarian and few vegan food and cakes. Mini shop inside where you can buy health related pieces. Juices smoothies protein shakes all so good! I had the blueberry and coconut shake with vegan vanilla protein! So good :) il be back for vegan cake soon haha

First time here. Was friendly. A little pricey, but I enjoyed my food and the ginger/lemon tea.was yummy. Had a quite a few choices Downside, not liking animals on the furniture or walking freely to other tables. I never allowed my own dog to sit on the chairs, especially in a place to eat. Plus some people have allergies, the last thing they need is to be sitting on a chair that a dog sat on. Need to on floor with owner.

Amazing service and great food! I ordered 20 meals two days in a row for a large staff of people. Each staff member was very impressed with the quality, taste and speed of the food. You know when you see this beautiful avocado, you pick it up and ligtly press it make sure its ripe and ready only to find out it’s mushy and completely off inside? How dissapointing… well that was our experience in this caffee today… the place is lovely, dont get me wrong, staff is super friendly , but the food… and drinks… two thumbs down. We ordered drinks - black coffee that was basically coffee flavoured hot water and a matcha late which was made with cows milk… im sorry but if you know what you are doing - matcha late is never made with cows milk. Then food - egg royal with smoked salmon - while the salmos bang on, one of the pouched eggs was way overcooked. Again, very dissapointing. And another dish we tried - pouched eggs with welsh rarebit and avocado - first the rarebit was cooked in fat that was already burned so it tasted like burnt grease and avocado… there were two peaces of it in a wannabe salad… which was not menetioned on the menu… I think its fare to say this Avocado is off and i will not be bying it again.

Went in for Sunday breakfast and was very pleased. We had a chicken burger and the salmon and scrambled eggs. Both were very delicious. Was close to full but did not feel too busy. Lots of families dining with small children and babies. Looked like there was lots of space to park a pram. Coffee and fresh juice were both excellent. Hopefully we will go again soon

I have yet to visit the store but I often order deliveries from here and would recommend the food the coffee is also very good. unlike many places they check the order notes and will modify things on requests. My only suggestion for improvement would be that you don't charge extra for the different types of milk and just increase coffee price if necessary because it makes the coffee a bit expensive if you don't drink cows milk. Keep up the good work.

Had a nice first visit. Ordered an omlette which seemed pricey for breakfast but what came was a huge plate of food which became brunch. Got lots of work done, comfortable, plenty of space and huge selection of retail items. Can't wait to come back.

I like the food and the choice of cakes but one thing is not ok: your so called tiramisu is not a tiramisu. Its a chocolat cake. Period. Even in the smallest coffe shops you can eat a real tiramisu. I was really disappointed..you cant sell this To people. PleAse write choco cake..and even the same for pistacchio cake..its 99% choco…and a little bit pistachio on the top. This is not a pistachio cake. The rest is goos

It's a lovely place, I had a latte and it was the most wonderful, creamy and delicious one I've had in a very long time. The staff super friendly and attentive. The toilet facilities were clean, although there was no toilet paper, I notified the waitress and they put some in right away. I'd definitely go back!

Delicious organic food available here, you won't find anything fried! Perfect if you're looking for a place to have coffee or a meal. They have a wide selection of vegan options available too. They also have a mini supermarket section so you can buy organic supplies to make your favourite dishes at home. The dish is the photo will be found in 'the plate' section of the menu, it is called the 'all vegan'

Really tasty, relaxed and affordable food. I got the vegan burger and berry smoothie that tasted really nice and atmosphere was nice. During the week, there is a lot of parents and kids getting together and I would imagine during weekends, this place will get busy.

Great place for avocado lovers like myself. My chicken salad was delicious and the avocado cheesecake is a real treat. You have to try an avocado ice cream if you feel adventurous! Definitely coming back soon to try more dishes from their extensive menu 🥑🥑🥑

Update May 2019: This place has become my go-to for working as it's developed a lovely vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful and don't mind you sitting for a few hours nursing a coffee, the food has been quite the improvement since my first visit - the yogurt & granola with fruit for £5.50 is a generous portion and delicious. I've taken a few friends and they've enjoyed it too. Lovely in the summer when the windows are open. Original post: Fine if you're local, but not worth a journey. I've been to this place twice as it's convenient, has WiFi and there are a couple of power sockets in the back if you need to work. The coffee is of the middling standard like Costa or Starbucks, it's fine. Food is generally a disappointment and wrongly described on the menu - eggs Benedict came on bread, not muffins. I had avocado on toast on my last visit and the bread was drenched in so much oil it was inedible.

It is probably the only place in London where u get a generous portion of everything for your money. The food, drinks and service are up to the highest standard. A superb modern cafe and restaurant in Greenwich. I have been visiting this cafe regularly in the several weeks that it has been open. From the first visit the quality and presentation of the food has been superb. Staff are knowledgeable of the menu and extremely helpful. Being a coffee addict, i find the quality of the coffee is impressive and smooth, a welcomed take away drink for my morning commute to work. This is a place the area has been so in need of, and judging by the local response, it will be a massive success. Sited in East Greenwich near Maze Hill station, this is a place that i see many of my neighbours visiting and it's become a meeting point for friends. The staff make you feel valued and party of the family. Well priced for good food... Oh and did i mention it uses Organic ingredient! I cant really fault it, Keep up the good work Avocado and Coffee.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is nice and coffee is decent but sometimes the staff have a bit of a funny attitude. One day I asked if they could replace the avocado on my breakfast, as it was all brown and looked like it has taken out of the bin. (I didnt ask for a new breakfast, I just wanted green avocado) You would have thought I just killed their mum with the look I got... It was that look that made me write this review and minus a star!

Greenwich is screaming for more sit down vegan friendly places - it just doesn't seem to have caught on like so many other places in London so I was excited when this place opened as it advertises itself as organic and vegan - both up my alley. Despite an extensive menu, the vegan options are extremely limited and I'm disappointed each time I go there for lunch as there are only one or two options for a satisfying lunch (I don't really fancy toast and jam or porridge for lunch), whilst non-vegans get a massive choice. Resolution- don't advertise yourself as organic and vegan, or, include more vegan options. Service, as others have said, is hit or miss - sometimes it's great, other times service is slow, or you order feeling like you're putting staff out. This place looks the part, serves organic produce and could be amazing, just a few small changes and it will be just that. Please listen to your customers A&C!

UPDATED REVIEW: I never do follow up reviews, but today I just had to. This is one of my favourite places for breakfast and coffee on a weekend. However, the last two times I've visited it has been a disappointment. 1. I brought my cousin here for breakfast - raving about the place. The Welsh Rarebit she ordered was, however, a complete disaster. It was overcooked to the point of bitterness. It should not have left the kitchen like that in the first place. I could compare it with another when I visited today. This time it looked really good. So, it's not the recipe, it's the quality of food leaving the kitchen. Unfortunately I'm generalising based on this one event, but that's normally the first and only impression a person gets. 2. Today I ordered a breakfast and coffee to the amount of about £10 (for which I paid by card). As I usually do, I took a second coffee later with the surprising announcement that £5 is the minimum for card payments. What!? So if I had wanted a coffee only, I would need to pay cash. Who carries cash these days? Imagine Starbucks or Costa had to tell me "minimum £5 card payment" for each time I wanted to grab a latte... The only reason I am not giving a 2-star rating at this point, is because of the manager paying for the coffee on my behalf (the owners need to thank him for this). Card transaction fees are expensive, I know. But negotiate this with your paypoint merchant or the bank - not your clientele. Unfortunately I won't take the effort to travel across from West Greenwich to visit A&C again. Pity. INITIAL REVIEW: Really great place to grab a coffee and a sandwich, but they also have scrumptious breakfasts and many other goodies. All plates are served with tasty corn chips and guacamole. What makes it really stand out is the playroom for children. Parents will love this place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth a visit indeed!

My banana and avo smoothie in a jam jar was filling as was my huge feta cheese omelette that I actually took 1/4 home. You order at the cashier. It was pretty hopping when my friend and I ate here last Sunday AM. Would definitely return.

Was staying nearby on a business trip and was very happy to find such a great coffee shop in the area. The service is friendly (always fantastic being able to interact with your baristsa as they make your coffee) and the coffee is fantastic, I have been back 4 times in 4 days and the quality has been consistently fantastic. Also try the almond croissants, they are fresh and amazing.

Also the scrambled egg salmon and dill did not have a single leaf of dill on it - maybe they forgot? Will give it another go at some point surely. When they were still in construction and I saw the name I thought it'd be just another of those places where hipsters hang out and sip their soy latte. I was very positively surprised. The food is really good, and everything's fresh. They offer very wide range of meals so everyone will find something interesting. They serve rather big portions so you won't leave hungry. Also, plenty of space so there's always at least a few tables to choose from. Highly recommend, especially for breakfasts.

Staff friendly, food good, atmoshpere nice. I went here twice in one week as it was easier to meet s friend who was staying nearby. The reason why I marked so low, is because of general customer service, ordered food and it took forever to arrive, in fact I had to ask again what was happening as people who came after me recieved their food before me. Which is very frustrating, I expressed my frustration to the member of staff who in turn offered a hot beverage on the house. On the second occasion bear in mind this was 2/3 days apart , the server got the wrong order. I mean you can be as nice as possible but getting the food on time and right is very important would go back but certainly not anytime soon.

Tasty sandwiches, and good coffee. Very popular with mums and babies, family friendly with buggy parking and plenty of highchairs. The children's menu could be a little more exciting, though. Downstairs has a space often used for children's playgroups and music classes, etc, called Avocuddle. I've been to a music class there and it was pleasant, if a little busy. Classes can be a bit pricey though, but then that is often the standard in London!

Greenwich doesn't have a single cafe that is fitting of the borough, i always have to go to central or blackheath if i wish to stay local. Coffee was excellent, food was expansive in choice, really tasty and not under portioned. Great atmosphere and fantastic value for money; i will certainly be frequenting this little gem!

There's not many places open for breakfast at 7am on a Saturday morning in Greenwich. But this place had a quick service and was good value. Really enjoyed the Mediterranean breakfast. Will definitely be coming back.

Avocado and coffee could potentially be a great addition to the area so I was excited to finally try it for breakfast on Sunday. The cafe was quite busy, and ordering and service was quick and friendly. Ordered a flat white and eggs royale - the coffee was quite nice, but not warm enough so went cold really quickly. The eggs royale were tasty but the poached eggs were not cooked properly - there were raw bits of egg white throughout. The hollandaise sauce was also quite runny. Despite these issues with the food I’ll definitely give this cafe another try, as it’s so local to me and it would be great to see them doing well. Hopefully they just need a few more weeks to iron out any teething problems.

However, the music being played from someone’s phone hooked up to the speaker was frequently interrupted by the phone ringing, and I was asked to move seats twice in the space of 10 minutes so people could get into cupboards / to windows. While there are power points, the lack of WiFi means it’s not ideal for working.

This is a brilliant new edition to the area. Not only is the food delicious, but the staff are lovely, the vibe perfect and they even are on the verge of opening a child’s play area. Perfect for quick coffee or big meal and hours much better than anywhere else

Visited this place yesterday. Decided to sit around the corner as it was very busy. Waited for 10 minutes until I caught someones attention. I asked if you ordered for the front or table service to which both is an option. You get a spoon with a number on it for table recognition. The waiter was new and helpful but obviously had alot to take in, but trying to get someone's attention was hard to say the least. I saw staff not knowing who had what or what or where table numbers were, so they seemed to be waliking about with food. This is obviously a managerial problem to easily sort out. Personally i think the tables should be numbered or staff table plan. Food good though plus everyone pleasant.

I had clients from Oregon USA today ,family hiring cycles from our cycle hire business in Greenwich. The mum was looking for a coffee house to await return of dad with the three kids on their cycling adventure, and asked for a recommendation. The one i knew nearby was ALACOSTA, but she said they closed early at 4.30pm, so i said maybe the new Avocado and Coffee was open as it looked a bigger place and brand new to area, but i had no idea of quality. On her return having tried it she was full of praise and asked us to recommend it-so i have! She loves coffee and organic produce and said it had great coffee and food, also saying service was excellent-so i suggest the 'local guides' who have reviewed otherwise might give them another try?
