A. H.Amazing place... was sceptical after reading a couple of reviews but then we decided to give it a try. And it was a completely opposite experience. Just loved every bit of it..!! Lovely staff and tasty food... will be back again.

I'll recommend to visit in less busy hours to avoid overcrowding, and most important, waiters/waitresses will be less stressed, will take and bring your orders on time, and you'll be able to enjoy the atmosphere.

On a warm summers day, this place is the ultimate place to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, tea time and evening meal. They have a huge variety of desserts, cakes, snacks. Along with a good range of burgers, fish, chips, pasta and so much more.
The quality of the food and service is excellent. Go and treat yourself.

Despite most places struggling with the surge of customers eager to eat alfresco again, the service was swift and effecient. The place was packed for Sunday brunch, food was properly cooked and tasty (I had egg royale and my wife an egg benedicte, my daughter rib eye was cooked perfectly). To top it up, service from Marius and Javier was first class. We definitely gonna come back and bring friends and family!!!

I had a vanilla creme and fresh fruit slice and I have had one like this from any bakery. This is pattiserie which also serve breakfast and brunch. And it is Halal too. I would give 10 stars 🤩
L. T.Food came out quickly and wasn't that bad actually. The massive breakfast for £20 is enough for 2 to share. The cakes are the standout pieces and are very nice, as good as Patisserie Valerie. Large cappuccino is enormous! Only thing is the service is so variable - one of the servers was brilliant and couldn't do enough, yet another one was so uninterested in being there and impossible to get her attention.

The Salt beef bagel is great. Also had scones, fresh and soft and lovely mojito. This place has just become my regular for afternoon, chilled out, brunch. I haven't tried the pizza, but one table ordered 6...i guess I missed out (next time!)

Cake was absolutely delicious and plenty for us to share. Loads of choice and all looked fresh.
Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's fairly expensive, to eat in our cake was £4.50 but seeing as it's opposite the green it's in a great location

If you visit, their fruit tart is THE BEST fruit tart I have EVER tasted!! MUST TRY!! Can't recommend their fruit tart enough!! Expensive but well worth it👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

I.My sister bought me to this lovely place when I visited London. What can I say, my five stars says it all. Staff were lovely, so accommodating, food was delicious, hot & fresh. There cakes are to die for, not forgetting there wide range of pasties and sandwiches. I’ve been told only recently they have started serving Halal food due to new ownership which is a massive bonus….. Love, love this place, they even do breakfast too.

They are currently compliant with the covid rules so take away only. They have all sorts of cakes for any purpose. There is parking by the side which if you are just passing by to buy something seems alright however its residential.

As expected with a change of management. Smaller portion sizes, different food supplier, some staff leaving. The inside looks nicer but the food has gone way down the hill. A different chef is very clear in the taste and employees still down know what BBQ sauce is. I love all the people who work here but sad to see some of them go. New owners obviously don't care about the place as much as the previous one did. They have gone for the cheaper option which will drive down business slowly until they close, I expect in the next 2 to 3 years. Would be sad to see this place go but here lies an example of a franchise dying away because of cheap owners.

First-week blues. The restaurant has improved. Has changed to a better supplier and the place is slowly getting back to normal.
C. D.Spacious, confortable, large selection, good presentation and prep. Ingredients bit cheap and basic (I'm yet to find a caffe that uses tasty tomatoes rather than salad tomatoes), all bit overpriced overall but a pleasant experience.
S. Y.I've been a Belgique customer for several years and my experience has always been positive.
The staff are welcoming and attentive - always doing their very best to make my visit enjoyable.
Whilst I agree that when they are busy you can wait a while for your food to arrive - personally I would rather order an extra coffee whilst my food is prepared and enjoy it fresh from the kitchen then to receive food that has been bulk prepared or kept warm and has gone past it's best. They source their produce from the best suppliers meaning your bill may be a bit more than in other cafes in the area but as they say; 'You get what you pay for!'
The manager, Chris, is very particular about the coffee and is some of the best I've had.
The patisserie is made on site and is a treat for the eyes and taste buds - my personal recommendation being the Strawberry tart. The celebration cakes always provide a show stopper centre-piece for any occasion - try the Black Forest Gateaux.........a taste of heaven!!!
To the complainers out there I would say - if things are not to your liking then tell them whilst you're there and give them a chance to rectify the problem don't go home & vent your spleen on Google Reviews! After all, Wanstead needs to work as a community ensuring we maintain the selection of establishments we are fortunate to have on our doorstep. If through our negativity we cause businesses to lose custom and close then we will be the ones to suffer and will end up with cheap chicken shops and betting offices!!!!! We need to support our local business community and help them to serve us both now and in the future.

D. H.I have to say I disagree with some of the reviews here. The staff have always been wonderful and know my Mum (who comes weekly) by name and always look after her when she comes. The menu can be hit and miss but I will re iew what I eat which for me are the hits! Get yourself a good Belgium beer and a crab (real crab not sticks) sandwich on a good seeded brown bread, lovely!
