By far the best bakery in the area, very good service, incredibly tasty pastry and the best decaf coffee I've had. You can grab a quick bite to go or stay and enjoy s great atmosphere in the back . Prices are more than correct for the quality and service obtained. Recommend 100%

Yes this place was my first I needed a hot drink seeing it was my first of the day so I ordered my latte with oatmeal extra hot I was served well the drink was I wanted it the location is pretty straight forward. I was pleasantly surprised with this place looks inside great seating areas aswell so overall its a great place to have a hot/ cold drinks.!!!

We were on our way to a show and realised we have very little time. Walked in not expecting much. We had a salad and a sandwich. Both were really tasty and surprisingly inexpensive. If you are in the area and need a quick bite it's a perfect place.

Really delicious food and coffee (so my OH says, I don’t drink it). Particularly love the veggie pizza with pesto, and the white chocolate mini beignet is to die for. Also staff are super friendly, even from behind their face masks. And prices are extremely reasonable! We have just moved to the vicinity of the bakery and one or other of us visits most days. Would highly recommend this place.

I love this place! A Spanish feel as I think the owners are Spanish. Really good value compared to other places on Upper Street. A flat white is £2.20 in versus £3.20 at somewhere nearby. Charlotte and Enzi make great flat whites!!!!!! The small food bites are really good too and the food is freshly made on site. Bentia does gets busy at lunch time. The below photo is the conservatory at the back which has great natural light.

Lovely little bakery that we’ve been visiting early morning en route for a walk to Highbury Fields. Great coffee, really nice staff and very reasonable price. Lesser cost than the chain coffee shops in area. Do a good seeded sourdough too.

Food is good for the price. However I went in with someone and was told that they no longer take card, but fortunately the person I was with paid. I don't understand what's so special about this bakery that they're implementing such. And this supposed 'virus' is not a valid excuse, because loads of other businesses haven't stopped accepting cash. Also, anyone with common sense knows money has been everywhere where bacteria etc is present for a long time, so I don't see the logic.. If I had went alone that would of been a great inconvience for me, and anyone else who didn't know. But all that aside it's decent for the area of upper street and the staff are fine. (The person I was with bought a small roll with cheese and tomato and the cheese was cut by half! Hopefully that was one-off though).

This was a really lovely place to be. Prices were good, pastries and coffees were good, but the ambiance was the best thing about it. They have this back room with a 100% glass ceiling which gets flooded with beautiful daylight. It's as if you're outside, but it's warm.

Just had a lunch here - great quality/price balance. A massive pizza slice with prosciutto and cheese was only £3! It was like a double of a normal portion. For this price, you can seat in their sunny back room with glass ceiling. Service was nice and quick.

I love the vegan cake. There's only one type of it but it convince me to go few times per month (still on diet). The staff is friendly enough to make me go there again anf again. There's a restroom which is conveniant. Once, I went with my children inside to use the toilet for their urgent needs, and we were allowed to use it without buying anything. I appreciate that very much.

Coffee isn't very good, but the baked goods are perfectly fine - lots of stuff baked fresh in the bread ovens on site, and it's cool to be able to see into the kitchen. Definitely sit in the bright and airy back area if you can.

Delicious freshly baked goodies, the pizzette are my favourite! Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. I especially like the little terrace in the back which is covered so you can enjoy it any time. I usually visit during weekends and there's no queue for a table.

GOOD. Been here many times now for a coffee and something to nibble. Nibbles nice, reasonable price as is the coffee. I also think they man give excess food stvend of day to the less fortunate which is nice if them. Only whinge is often closed on Sunday, and closes at 6pm. I can live with both.

TIP: ask for the vegan foccacia The place and the service are good. The food seems fresh and the vegan foccacia that I tried was amazing! But the little almond croissant, I thought, was too expensive, 1,80 per unit. Nice place to bring a friend and chat.

We've been coming here almost daily for the wonderful coffee, tasty food and the lovely European staff who are always friendly and greet customers with a warm welcome, they should however be employing native English speakers as well. However, there's a high turnover of staff that begs the question why? When businesses cannot keep staff that is not a good sign and they don't usually stay in business long. Note to management: Review your employment policy.

Saturday, pouring rain and the bus decides to take a diversion meaning I need a different bus. I hop off the bus, little peckish, and I see Benita in front of me. Whilst I eat the entire display in my stoned mind, I spy these 'Suisse' pastry things..... Upon entering the bakery, I ask the difference between them and the pain au chocolate. 'There is a little custard in there too' came the reply. Sold! Let me have one! Absolutely delicious. I was about to go in for the last one on display but my bus came... I will be back Benita and I'm taking 5 of them.

It was my first visit to the Benita bakery & cafe. Popped in for a coffee and sat in the lovely, sun-filled space af the back. Very comfortable atmosphere, great coffee and good service, with a welcome on the way in and a nice smile on the way out.
