Wanted to treat my girlfriend for her birthday so looked up unique afternoon teas. And indeed it was. Food was yummy, people in there were really nice and the setting so unique. We didn't finish all the food so we got to bring it home. Will be visiting again next time we're that side of town, such a gem!

The afternoon tea served at this cafe is a bit underwhelming. The tables for afternoon tea were under stairs in the basement. The space was quite cramped, as we can hear the conversation from the next table easily 😂😂
The service was lovely and the cafe upstairs serving cakes and coffee was also cute. I just don’t recommend go for an afternoon tea here.

My girlfriend took me here for a surprise afternoon tea. I didn't realize she had booked like the full experience which was absolutely devine! Down stairs they have a private room there with all the dress up to play the part for a real tea party. 1920's theme all around! We drank tea like royal, ate sandwiches and later sweet cake treats. They even put two rainbow cupcakes on our sweets tray! Lovely service as well - very friendly. A great idea for a surprise date, girls day out or birthday party :)

Hi Missy and team,
I just wanted to message to say thank you so so so so much! We had the absolute best time with you, it was all perfect, great food, amazing service and the little room downstairs all set up was brilliant. The Bride absolutely adored it, we all dressed up and would 100% come back again when we are in London next.
Thank you for all your efforts, you all deserve the world, you have such a beautiful shop!
Thank you,
Emma xxx

I can't rave enough about my vintage tea experience here. The food was so delicious and quite filling, the accessories were lovely to dress up in and the service was exceptional. I took a friend who was visiting from the US and I'll definitely go back when entertaining guests again. Such a lovely afternoon.

I highly recommend this experience at the Betty Blythe Afternoon Vintage Tearoom. I had such a fantastic time with my friend, endless laughs dressing up in 1920s hats, gloves and accessories while drinking bottomless earl grey and eating sandwiches with scones and chocolate brownies.... can't wait to go back again. thank you for such a wonderful experience x

Afternoon tea experience
Great portion size and venue
Food good quality and well prepared
I would improve by letting people apply their own cream and jam

Lovely sitting outside. Great coffee and nice limited cakes but very pricey.

A great vintage styled cafe for those who love good coffee and good atmosphere. Lovely staff, too. They also serve #matchalatte

AWESOME 1920'S DRESS UP TEA PLACE! You get so much accessories to wear. Tea, snacks, service, and interior is very good and cute.

Went here for a hen do and it was really lovely. An abundance of teas and sandwiches and cakes and a lovely decor inside. Would definitely recommend.

The shop looked so nice from outside that I decided to give it a try, coffee was amazing 😍
Friendly staff, will definitely go back!

Popped here on a weekend as we had run out of coffee at home. The shop looks kinda cool: few spots upstairs and a cool "tea room" area downstairs. We got a standard cappuccino and a soy latte. They made the standard cappuccino, served me, then we proceeded to wait while they served a number of other people before they got to the second coffee.
Despite just being served the coffee was a bit cold, and didn't really have the strong coffee flavor I like. The latte while served a bit hotter, was equally weak.
Maybe it's just that this place specializes in tea, but for the coffee and service it's hard to give any top marks.

The staff were friendly and filled up to the rim my coffee cup without asking extra charge. My son was also happy with his babycino. Will definitely come again.

Its a small Cafe with friendly and helpful staff. My Mom likes this Cafe very much. I liked it too and you have lots of choices regarding cakes etc.

Thank you to the staff who made Mums birthday special. The afternoon tea was divine. Highly recommend.

This is my favourite place to do my writing and comfortably drink my latte.
I surprised my friend on her birthday with an afternoon tea, who says you’re too old to play dress up?! She was over the moon.
I’m always treated well by the staff and am so lucky to have this just around the corner:
Lovely menu with much to choose from whether it’s a tea for two or a nice toastie.

Lovely tea shop. They have lovely vegan scones and mini chocolate cakes.

Just had a lovely chat with the two ladies that work there and had the best mocha i've ever had in my life. Brilliant coffee, lovely staff and provides some basic groceries for sale during lockdown. Recommend!

Good products, price is high however

Walking in to Betty Blythe is like walking back a few decades. From the wonderful bunting to the gorgeous award-winning clotted cream fudge (oh YUM), this place is a funny but well-formed space.
I was part of the Qype event and we had a talk in the basement, next to a large jar of gold coins and one room away from a water fountain which may have been a secret garden fountain. There were dressers decorated with a treasure trove of treasures and the lower level was just fantastic.
The main tea room was just lovely. The shortbread was nothing short of a revelation and the cupcakes were lovely. It was so much fun to decorate them. Young or old, I recommend it!
It’s far away from everything - that’s why it lost a star. Not it’s fault really so it gets a full FIVE STARS for being lovely with reasonably priced goodies, excellent home-baked goods and a fantastic theme. It isn’t near any station or bus route though. Well worth the drive/walk so don’t be put off!

Me and my sister were invited here for a hen tea party and we had the best time ever. The service is simply elegant, the tea, cakes and sweets are a dream. We are planning to go back next week!

We went to Betty Blythe after purchasing a voucher from Living Social for afternoon high tea We both love going for high tea and love a tying vintage and so had high hopes for our experience. The shop is very quaint with a lot of attention to detail to make it seem as authentic as possible, right down to the waitresses uniform who all looked the part. For afternoon tea we were taken downstairs and told to help ourselves to whatever we liked from their dress up box. Unfortunately this is where the disappointment started. There were only two dresses to try on and although there were a selection of stoles and hats and gloves many of them were stained or torn. Understandably people will spill things but surely they could give the pieces a wash every now and then? Maybe sew the holes up? It just took a little bit of the shine away from the fun that was meant to be dressing up. The tea itself was lovely, we were served smoked salmon, ham and cucumber sandwiches. These were accompanied by mini cupcakes, mini brownies, half a scone each, half a piece of cake each and one h'orderve each but with all the tea you could want. I was disappointed that there wasn't a selection of tea to choose from (or if there was it wasn't offered) and that there was no real choice? The cake we were served (I forget what type but it was orange and coconut) was absolutely delicious, as was all of the food we were served. The service was impeccable. The two girls who served us were attentive and so friendly. They really made the experience for us. On the whole we enjoyed going to Betty Blythe as it was a great experience but at the moment with the state of the dress up box and the lack of choice in the menu I would rather go to one of the many other places offering high tea in London.

Excellent venue, charming and well kept. Polite, efficient service. The coffee was good. The takeaway cup, however, was too hot to hold, so it was lucky I was wearing gloves, and even then it was a near thing.

My absolute favourite tea room. staff always attentive, lovely relaxed atmosphere .The owner Lulu is warm friendly and personable . Betty Blythes is a gem of a vintage tea room. Highly recommend.

We had such a lovely afternoon tea. The service was fab, the place and dressing up box were super. And the food was perfect, especially the Chocolate brownie. Thank You!

This is such a funky, vintage chic tea room, complete with dress up accessories!
The tea is delicious and includes everything from cupcakes to cream scones! Yum!
Not far from Hammersmith station, dress up for the occassion and you'll have an even better time. I found it excellent for a birthday treat! :0)

This place is simply fabulous!! It serves the most beautiful afternoon tea with a fantastic twist of dressing up downstairs if you like. I've celebrated 2 hen do's and my mums 60th here and to top it off Lulu (the owner) and her staff are fabulous. A real hidden gem of London - it's off the beaten track a little but it's worth it when you get there. Can't recommended highly enough - Review left by Susie Higgs

Betty Blythe I miss you! If only I can come to you every week.I felt chilled out after visiting you, dreaming about your scones.Eleanora and other waitresses gives a real heart and you feel like they really want you to have a good time.
H. M.
Quaint little shop in the middle of 'nowhere' but worth popping in or booking for a private event. Dressing up was my absolute fav!! A little pricey for what you actually get to eat but you probably gotta pay for the experience and ambience of it all!
M. F.
Great cafe . So delicious, so fresh and in such a beautiful ambience and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, the staff is highly professional and friendly and the service is prompt and punctual top

When hipsters live in Kensington instead of Hackney, places like this are what happens. It's all very chichi, French confectionery and cupcakes, organic eggs and so on. Which is not to say that the stuff isn't also very lovely -it is and there is lovely stuff there-- just that it's also prime yummy mummy territory.

Had Such a lovely time! fantastic selection of tea, cracking cakes and wonderful service. Can't wait for my next visit.
A. S.
This cafe is completely adorable - I just wish it was easier to find! Anyway, if you're not fazed by the thought of getting lost in Hammersmith, you'll get to spend time in a very lovely vintage style cafe.

Very lovely place, quite chic and small. The meat ball soup was terrific, definitely a place to go. Staff is friendly and the location is quite great.

Just off the beaten path, away from the madding crowd. Wonderful service, lots of choice and a great atmosphere - well worth going further for.

Rubbish, went once and couldnt get a coffee as the machine was broken. The next time a snooty waitress told me they didnt do milkshakes for children. Overall really poor experience.

Very friendly staff that always make you feel welcome. My wife and I are regulars and they always roll out the red carpet for us.
