It’s been on my bucket list for a while and I love it. Conveniently located next to a bike shop it’s a great local coffee place. No wifi but good avocado toast

One of my favourite cafes. Run by a Cuban and a kiwi, this is reflected in the menus, with both smashed avocado and bocaditos on offer. While both of these are great, it's actually the coffee that sticks in my mind as outstanding, using a milder roast which allows for those fruitier flavours to shine through. The staff are pleasant and attentive. Also child and pet friendly.

One line review: good quality food and drink. I am a local and often go to the café. The food is good, the coffee is great, the hot chocolate really well made, the decor is trendy. Only improvement recommended: some added flexibility with the orders- when not widely unreasonable. Even though I don't tend to order much food for myself there because of the inflexibility with small swaps, my partner and I recognize the excellent quality and the originality of bocadillos and toasts, and banana breads etc. (really above much of what one can find in London). I always take friends there, because I know they will enjoy the ambiance and the offering.

We went there 3 weeks ago looking for breakfast, we went with our 67 years old father looking for a normal toast with butter and coffe, we asked for a normal toast bread and they replied only banana bread available, we order for me and my sister other modern "brunch" with egg and advocado and surprise coming with normal bread, why they cannot serve this bread for our father? Should be more flexible on this. Anyway all good but prices high.

Love it here. Coffee is great quality and their chipster brownie is amazing - it’s my new regular spot to chill with my daughter (she loves the brownie and I love the coffee) while we wait to collect my son from school. The staff are really friendly and accommodating.

Decent dishes and staff are pretty nice, ordered a dish that I saw had something I was allergic to and asked if I could have it removed. Once it was served it came with the ingredient in it. The way they acted when I said that I asked for the dish without it they made it sound like it was my problem and didn't seem to want to resolve it. Other than that the dishes are quite nice!

Always enjoy coming here, lovely selection of brunch items and great bocaditos. They serve Climpson & sons coffee as well as a small selection of cakes. It can get busy on the weekend, but it's worth the wait. Definitely a local favourite.

Live locally and have tried nearly every coffee house in the area and can say despite the quality of nearly all the options around that Birdhouse is by far the best cuppa! It's cosy place but I didn't like the size of my for the price (very small late), also important to mention that Sainsbury's croissant is better than the one they sold me =(. Super disappointed. Unless you don't have any other choice around (which you have!!) I wouldn't recommend this place.

Really nice environment, it feels like a cross between a traditional Cafe and a Thai style in terms of its simple but cosy design. Coffee was great, I wish I lived in Clapham so I could visit often. The breakfast menu was brilliant too, offering a good range of more unique takes on dishes. Good to see places like these popping up in the UK.

Lovely little place we go to often for brunch. The flat white is incredibly good. They used to have a lovely affogato which is now sadly off the menu. I absolutely love the baked egg meal which comes in a pan hot out of the oven, and the salmon and corn fritter dish. There's also something very special and crunchy about their granola! Special mention to the owner who remembers people well, which gives the place a very welcoming feeling. As with other good breakfast places, be prepared for a wait unless really lucky if in a group of 4 or more.

I've been here a few times, it's a mixed bag. The food is generally very good, although (as noted by some below) the coffee is quite ordinary. Service can be a bit patchy, I've never had an experience of it being terrible but I've also never seen 'good' either. Go there for the brunch menu if you're in the area and want something different.

Amazing place. A great sense of style but its way more than that. The coffee, quite rightly, is recognised as some of the best in London, brewing Climpson and Sons and the food is amazing. Both the breakfast and sandwich lunches as well as the great cakes. You have to try the salted caramel brownies.

Hole-in-the-wall sized cafe close to Clapham Rail Station. Funky furniture and a great range of cakes and sandwiches. The coffee is well-made but I personally did not find my flat white to be hot enough. Will return for the banana bread.

Nice cosy little place! We have been going there for the last couple of years since it opened for a quick bite and a coffee. As i said its a nice place so dont want to completely slag it off but last week we managed to get in a feedback which wasn't received well. We told the owner that everytime we use their glass for the water they provide, its almost undrinkable out of it because of the "egg" smell that comes out of the glass. He picked up the glass and smelt it right in front of us, and completely denied that there was any such smell. Must be our noses!

I am a customer of bird house since one year ago. I discovered this little and cosy place by walking around St. Johns Hill one Saturday morning and I've been coming back since then quite often. This breakfast / brunch bar offers a variety of very tasty coffees from all over the world and exquisite "bocaditos" such as a very nice steak sandwitch, slow cooked eggs in tomato sauce or again hamon serrano sandwitch.. Highly recommended also for the price range which is not too high.

The Birdhouse is a great kiwi cafe that does great coffee and nice tea (waterloo tea). It is rammed on weekends so get a seat early to avoid disappointment. They play great music as well. Try one of their sandwiches (cuban bocaditos). They are planning on having an outdoor seating area soon to deal with their growing popularity!

Best Coffee in Wandsworth. We start everyday with a Cortado with Birdhouse Coffee. Given up on my coffee machine. An excellent cortado with a smile from amazing team at Birdhouse is a great way to start a day. As it that wasn't enough, the baked eggs at lunch are my absolute favorite. Without Birdhouse, life at St. John's hill wouldn't be the same.

(Translated) I went to Birdhouse with my husband for breakfast (quick breakfast because we were going in a hurry) and still, the feeling that I have left is with the desire to repeat. Small and cozy place, with a terrace outside. We ordered two coffees (good coffee) and two snacks. The Snacks are sandwiches in ciabatta bread, which is more appetizing. You want to try them all at once! We take the pumpkin, piquillo, walnut and blue cheese (from the Picos de Europa) and the serrano ham, roasted tomato and cheese. Very good both, and the crunchy and perfect ciabatta bread. Great service. Attentive and kind. They also have several types of brunch on their menu. I definitely recommend the Birdhouse, and as I said at the beginning, I'm eager to repeat! (Original) Fui a Birdhouse con mi marido a desayunar (desayuno rápido porque íbamos con prisa) y aún así, la sensación con la que me he ido es con la de ganas de repetir. Local pequeño y acogedor, con una terracita fuera. Pedimos dos cafés (buen café) y dos Bocaditos. Los Bocaditos son bocadillos en pan de chapata, a cual más apetecible. Querrás probarlos todos de golpe! Nosotros tomamos el de calabaza, piquillo, nuez y queso azul (de los Picos de Europa) y el de jamón serrano , tomate asado y queso. Buenísimos los dos, y el pan de chapata crujiente y perfecto. Buen servicio. Atentos y amables. También disponen de varios tipos de brunch en su carta. Recomiendo sin duda el Birdhouse, y cómo dije al principio, me quedo con ganas de repetir!
