My favourite!! If you’re ever in Greenwich, do not go anywhere else for breakfast or a snack or hot drink. SUPER dog friendly. Amazing service every single time and all that they sell is just delicious!! Great sized portions. Their sandwiches are a personal favourite, along with the kale kick smoothie. Yum yum yum!!

The coffee here is always good and their oat flat whites are really quite good. We stopped and had breakfast for the first time and my full English was pretty decent. Sausages were really packed with flavour and their sourdough was cut very thick. Their bacon is back bacon which I'm not a fan of but still ok. Overall a solid breakfast.

I give it 5 stars because it has the best ambience and nicest food for breakfast in the area, at a very reasonable price. However, slightly tightening up systems would be appreciated, since it took over 30 minutes to receive my order. I think I was unlucky, as others received theirs faster, so not deducting a star for it. I really like the back area; there is a lot of space and it is heated well.

First time trying out the food at this cafe. I got a plain croissant and a slice of chocolate cake to take home and wasn't expecting too much but to my surprise the croissant was very very delicious and the chocolate I have to say is one of the best I've had!! Plus the service was super friendly and made me feel very welcomed. Can't believe I didn't know about this place even though I am often in the neighbourhood! I first discovered this cafe via a friend. She went there often. She had a disability that affected her walking, from my very first visit with her I was really touched by how kind and caring the staff were towards her greeting her at the door and physically escorting her to a seat. Even at their busiest times. Nothing was too much trouble. An amazing young couple that own the cafe and that obviously rubs off on all the staff all lovely people. The coffee is really good here and the food is amazing. Wide selectoin of cakes pastries and sandwiches the freshly cooked breakfast is a nust Well worth a visit!!

A very cozy place. I love their fresh pastries that they make every morning and their back garden. The canopy in the garden is able to open and close which can work with the weather wether its sunny or rainy. They make the best coffee and their famous flat white is my favorite.

A perfect place to grab a morning coffee. Went last week and was very happy with the service. Coffee tasted great and the service was extremely fast and good. My friend's card had not worked on the first attempt to pay and unlike most other shops the workers had not gotten annoyed but rather tried to help fix it (which they did). Highly recommend for a quick coffee and cake for very decent prices.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed their all day breakfast seasoned so well, bacon cooked to perfection wasn't under cooked or overly crispy. THE BEST COFFEE around town, hands down! As antipodeans, my partner and I are usually disappointed with the coffee in London, so we were delighted to discover this local, independent, family-run cafe with consistently amazing coffee. They also offer delicious baked goods and bagel/sourdough sandwiches all freshly pre-made in-house each day, as well as a lovely dine-in menu to enjoy out the back covered garden for when we are out of lockdown/higher tiers. I love that they make an effort to be sustainable, using compostable coffee cups and lids, etc, and they are also pet friendly! The staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming, and they have stayed open for takeaway the entire time during COVID which has been such a blessing. Pick up a coffee and treat from Black Eye on your way to Greenwich Park and your day will certainly be improved!

Good coffee, but weird experience. I ordered a latte and babycino the total was £4.70. I paid and then noticed a regular latte was £2.70. I then queried the price of a babycino and was told it was a £1. I then asked why I was charged £2. I had to ask if I could have the £1 I overpaid. They looked at me like I had 2 heads, but the one lady told the other lady to give it to me. Just made to feel like I was in the wrong for being overcharged and asking the price to be corrected. I will not be going back. I will stick with La Salumeria and support other local coffee shops.

We had the mushrooms, avocado, a brownie, butter croissant, pain au chocolat, and coffees, and can I just say, the experience was ridiculous. The brownie is like a soft, gooey block of chocolate, the croissant perfectly crisp and flaky yet soft and buttery inside, the mushrooms were decadent (I usually find mushrooms a bit of a sad side at cafes, these were scrumptious, tangy and creamy and seasoned perfectly), the coffee was fully flavoured and perfect temperature, and the pain au chocolat? Oh boy. Soft, custardy inside that helped spread the chocolatey-ness throughout, crispy outside...we burst out laughing is disbelief. To be nitpicky (to make this review believable), the avocado might have benefitted from a little more seasoning. But why focus on that when you're faced with the best French pastries this side of the channel...and far better coffee? Also pet friendly, our dog was so warmly welcomed, and delivered a fresh bowl of water before we even had a chance to ask. These folks know what they're doing!
