J. H.Excellent customer service from the team working today. Made me feel very welcome and looked after. Coffee with oat milk was super silky and the Bircher pot was full of flavour.
L. S.A lovely spot for brunch in Streatham! The food was fresh, tasty and pretty decent in terms of portion size. The range of teas, and speciality drinks were lovely too - shout out to the Marsala Chai which was spicy and warming! Staff were attentive, lots of water available on the table, and a really welcoming and hip vibe. I imagine this place is packed out on the weekend, but I want to come back just to try the banana bread!

Came here on a Saturday morning, wasn't all too busy. Plenty of seats inside and out! Food is always decent at brickwood, however the service was a bit slow to get out menu's then we received our food with no cutlery. The staff were apologetic and nice about it all however, would still recommend coming here if your up for some brunch!

J. K.Great Coffee and food! Really delicious, well presented, broad choice and decent portions. Tables currently outside to sit and be with others. Not a great location as there's heavy pollution and St Leonard's green is usually full of drug dealers and homeless people. Brickwood used to be great to sit inside with hot food, so I'll be going back there when lockdown relaxes.
J. W.The Streatham branch is by far my favourite and the best out of all the branches ive been too. The service is always very friendly and welcoming. Balham use to have such good customer service but its gone down and cant remember the last time I went there. The Clapham has to be the worst only been there once on a weekday and it took nearly 10minutes before someone took my order and then had to chase for my order after.
Always enjoy the food at Brickwood, especially the banana bread.

C. M.Nice attentive staff and a good atmosphere. The coffee is superb and I had some toasted pulled pork affair that was absolutely cracking. While I think you probably do get what you pay for, it could be considered to be a smidge expensive, but it's probably worth it.

A. K.Great tea offerings, went last week for a chai latte and to my surprise it was in a pot, allowing for it to brew longer and taste stronger. A nice little touch I don't always associate with ordering tea or coffee. Service was both friendly and inviting. I've previously had breakfast and pastries here and can't complain at the quality. Infrequent visitor but rarely disappointed, the coffee is certainly worth the visit!

B. S.Stepping off the hectic high street in to this little haven was a real treat. Great food (brunch type things), great coffee and lovely staff. Almost feels like a beach bar type place which is pretty amazing considering it's in South London. It's a little on the expensive side but my avocado on toast was massive and tasty so well worth it.
P. K.These guys make the BEST banana bread in London. Hands down. Whether you order the legend (espresso butter) or the 2.0 (vanilla mascarpone, pistachio & berry compote) you won't be disappointed. Also, great coffee and friendly staff. Often good dogs to look at it.
C. H.The coffee here is amazing, and I do love the banana bread as well. But the service can be very slow and all over the place. The staff try to do multiple things at once which can lead to them being a bit overwhelmed, slapdash and serving people out of time, leading to (at times) a long wait time. But the coffee really is a very high Australian standard.

A. X.Expensive for the area. Maybe it was just the time of day but visited here after a Sunday afternoon skate at local rink. Only one member of staff serving and kitchen had closed. We were charged £14 for 2 slices of cake and 2 (v. small) glasses of fruit juice. Great juices but tiny glass half filled with ice and cakes were a bit dry.

Great interior, fairly polite service
More soft, selected music would have made it perfect but you can try and request the waiters to change it, and aprons or more sected clothes would have made it a a six star place ;) 🌟

A. C.I had a fabulously unctuous 4-cheese toastie and gingerbread tea, and they were SO good. Better than that though, is the lovely way in which the staff treat homeless people here. Whilst I was paying for my food, a homeless man wandered in and asked if he could have a croissant. Without skipping a beat, the server said of course, and bagged it up for him, zero fuss. I was really impressed with this interaction, and offered to pay for the croissant and even pay it forward for others, but the barista wouldn't have it. I admire the social conscience for locals, and it's this, along with the good quality good, that will make me return time and again.

Perfect place to grab breakfast on the weekend. Get there early to avoid the busy periods. I recommend the Kumara!
P. D. S.Great little place with delicious coffee and food. My only one complaint is its stuffy, no air flow and no fans to cool the place down. It gets unbearable at times so your stay is / can be limited depending on the weather. Get some aircon guys or fans please as its the difference between 4 stars and 5 stars in your ratings.

UPDATE:
Went for breakfast and tried for the first time the ‘Corn Fritters’.
Disappointed with the food (very friendly and helpful staff though 😊)
The fritters seem to be premade as they were served cold/warmish, were try and bland.
I ordered the Haloumi with the corn fritters- assuming that the Haloumi would be grilled (I should have asked) – but the Haloumi was also deep friend (not sure what it was coated in).
But it wasn’t the lukewarm deep fried food on the plate that disappointed me the most – it was the fact that it was served on a bed of – ketchup, mayo and smashed avocados! Love avocados, but why put smashed avocados on top of a bed of ketchup and mayo???
E. C.The food is tasty enough but for the price I'd expect a lot more. Despite this it seems to be a firm favourite amongst others as there are always long queues for a seat especially on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
