Reviews of Bubbleology South Kensington
S. B.
Tiny little outlet of my favourite bubble tea. In keeping with its size,it's a modest menu. I usually go for milk teas and on this occasion only 3 flavours were available. I settled for matcha, because I do like it. However, none of my favourites (traditional, Earl Grey or Caramel) were available.
Again due to its size people kept colliding against each other whilst waiting.
The decor is the bite-sized variant of the usual chemistry lab that we associate with bubbleology.
No seating available. It's for takeaway only.
However, I am still pleased that there's some availability of bubble tea close to my workplace.

I had a great time at this location. The guy working the shop was very knowledgeable and was willing to give his opinion about which drink I might be in the mood for.
This location is a take-away unit only. It is very small for grab and go. But it still has full menu options.
Every time I walk by it is busy, so I would recommend go as early as possible.
♿ Accessible to all. Ground level just outside the bus stop. No toilet available.

Not my favourite bubble tea place due to how artificial and not authentic it feels. If you want a fresh drink, sure, it works. But if you want an authentic bubble tea I wouldn't recommend this place at all. They do have a big variety of flavours, but you can't really customise your tea on sugar and ice as other places.

Bubbleology - Cute, small, pop-up, grab and go shop (no seating). Fun Science decor. Reasonably priced. Fabulous choice of boba tea. 🥳
Would suggest calling ahead to check they have the Utopian Specials. I called a few hours ahead but when we arrived they had run out! 😕
Strawberries and Cream was delicious with popping Boba and Lychee Jellies. 🍓
Friendly, helpful staff. 👍 Gave me special sprinkles (rainbow and unicorn) to make up for the earlier disappointment. 🤩
Can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend a trip to Bubbleology 🌈🦄

I must say Bubbleology has definitely upped their standard since they introduced Tapioca pearls.
As a BBT fan, I would highly recommend the 'Banofee Pie with Brown Sugar Pearls'.
It is not often do you get banana flavoured drinks, but this one really works!

Unlike most asian bubble tea place.
Bubbleology has nice fruit teas!!!!
Especially the popping, when it burst in your mouth, you can feel a more flavour are added in your tea!!! My all time favourite is lychee popping with pearl and Mango tea. It is so refreshing during hot hot summer.
Unfortunately, they do not have a sitting area. But the location is quite nice! It is within 10 minutes walk from the South Kensington station. Not like the posh place around the station, this allows you to take around hype park and explore South Kensington. More, it is in front of the bus station, that is one of the reason why I always order one while I’m waiting for the bus.
The only thing I don’t really like about is their bubble tea and matcha. For bubble tea, the tea taste is a bit too strong for me, as I like to taste milk more. (I’m weird I know) If you are a tea lover, you would probably love it. As for matcha, it is quite tasteless, you cannot really taste the matcha.
If this is your first time there, don’t worry they have really clear instructions of how you can order. They have smaller cup, i ordered tall one in the picture. If you don’t like popping, you can choose not to have any. Yet, if you love popping after you tried it. They have different size of buckets that is fill with popping. When I was there last time, I recall seeing one single flavour in the bucket, but you can ask see if you can mix different flavours.

Well, Bubble tea is never bad as they say, especially when it’s prepared by Bubbleology. The place itself is very small with barely any seating area, and the ‘preparation area’ seems to be quite clean. I would recommend Bubbleology Soho over Kensington, without doubts.

Not the best tea in the world ´cause made by powder, than they have tapioca for free and not even one scoop of bubbles, bubbles are for 50c extra each.
That´s a bit ashamed thinking that they are imitating the bubble tea brand..
And you have Tapioca instead of bubbles.. normally you pay an extra scoop of bubbles cause you want more not because you are gonna have tapioca instead of bubbles.
After all I was willing to refresh my mouth and was ok not so bad.
I had Mango with tapioca and an extra scoop of passion fruit bubbles

Recently visited this branch with my husband and recieved great service and even better tasting drinks.
The gentleman was helpful and knowledgeable on the different drinks. The drinks were made quickly and with a smile.
Much better than Bubbleology Soho, worst service and rude staff!
Will definitely be back 😋

First time trying bubbleology was not disappointed. I ordered strawberries and cream it was an amazing experience
L. S. (.
Lovely staff and delicious drinks as always - with a generous amount of bubble for your buck, will definitely be coming back <3

This place is generally good.. but last time had a frustrating experience. We paid for extra bobas for both our glass.. but with our surprise did not find any of them when delivered .. so basically we paid for something and did not get it..
G. E.
They had run out of a lot of items, so we were unable to get what we really wanted. It couldn’t be helped, but it was disappointing to drive all that way and leave dissatisfied.

I come regularly, and I like the tea here. I always go for simple options, so I never had any issues with strange flavours or textures but it is a pricey thing to experiment with. Got the loyaltly card option too which is great for a free tea every now and then. On the negative side the standard tapioca is the only free option. Everything else is extra, which is strange. Most bubble tea places give you the choice of selecting at least from a few different options. Also, the staff used to be a bit strange in the past. One time I asked for extra sugar, and the lady filled my large cup up halfway with sugar. Instant diabetes. Other than that the staff is great now.
j. F.
Nice tea, good price but limited flavours available as they had a shortage of most things today.

I've gone here loads of times in the past few years and it never ceases to amaze me. The bubble tea is delicious, so is the popping boba and the tapioca. They prepare it right in front of you, which I love, and the staff are friendly. It is slightly expensive and there is no place to sit. However, this doesn't bother me considering I usually don't have time to wait. Overall, definitely recommend. Don't understand all the bad reviews.

I was literally addicted to this place for a while. Not so much now. Wished they had maintained consistency such as with the extra toppings on offer.
J. L.
I always have a great bubble tea at this store. The tapioca balls are well cooked. I just wish they would stop adding so much liquid sugar in all the dronks without asking. When you say no sugar they look at you and say "but it is going to be too bitter". Its just the same as having tea with no sugar, no one I know has sugar in their tea. It has become a bubbleology joke of "oh noooo I forgot to ask no sugar".
A. R.
it's only OK not more not less
N. C.
Great bubble tea, don’t get the tapioca balls though, but was good tasting tea and the popping bubbles were good.
I had mango iced tea with passion fruit balls and also got the tapioca balls (ask for no tapioca).
Would definitely go again.
Z. L.
Interesting menu but i find it.. just okay.
M. R.
Simply the best bubble tea ever. I had the coconut one with ice and strawberry flavor jelly it was out of this world!!!
H. K.
Nice drink but tapioca balls taste like rubber and are hard to chew
N. J.
Great and super quick service, only downside, I usually order honey dew milk tea and the last time i visited, the taste was lacking in flavour. But overall bubbleology is usually great with the drinks
T.
They do okay bubble tea but nothing that really amazed me. All milk based drinks without tea are basically just a powder mixed with milk. It generally feels a bit loveless and of inferior quality when I visit this store compared to the often seen Taiwanese more artisan Bubble tea shops. Will probably be back next time when Bubbleology is the only cold tea place in the area.
R. L.
Not the best bubble tea place I've been to. I had the taro milk tea and the texture was a bit odd like there were bits in it, but that didn't stop me from drinking the entire thing
U. E.
I often go to the Stratford Westfield branch, not the cheapest drink in town, but it's useful in a hot day. This one is located very close to the South Kensington station and not too far from the Natural History Museum, the mango and passion fruit is a safe option. I'd recommend generally not adding ice since you get less juice in the cup. Anyway, I'd recommend on a good day. Big fan of the Tapioca in general.
Z.
Bubble tea is good but I’m mostly leaving a review because I was having a bad day and I went in to get bubble tea and the server Imran was so lovely to me he made my day plus the next day was my birthday so I felt really happy thank you so much Imran
V. S.
Great bubble tea and the large is huge. Tapioca balls were a little soft but overall nice
J. W.
They make good bubble tea but cant seem to understand basic instructions in all caps like MY WIFE HAS ASTHMA SO NO ICE
M. M. P.
My favourite place to get my bubbletea. Very accessible as it is near the train station same with the bus stop. Staffs are nice and the way they do the drinks are amazing. I love bubbleology!
T. J.
Alot oof bubbles in the tea, which is great but will have to request fewer of the ones I didn't like..
A. A.
I've tried a lot of "bubble tea" companies and London has no shortage of them...believe me. My favourite Used to be Cha time however, Bubbleology now takes the crown. Taro is to die for...
i. l.
Imra (I think that’s how he’s called) was such a lovely employee and very helpful. Thank you!!! I visited on the 12th of June 2021 at around 8:30 pm
P.
Great bubble tea for a good price. Not authentic Chinese boba but a different twist on it with different flavours and different types of boba
a.
Probably the best place ever ! The staff are kind and the drinks are even better . If I could give more than 5 stars as a review I would !
I. S.
Quite pricey for a tea, and it's not even a real tea. I hated it at first, but I think I'm addicted now :) the bubbles are pretty cool
S. S.
Excellent but too expensive for a tea.
T. B.
Really nice bubble tea
L. W.
Really lovely place my boyfriend got an almond one that tasted like marzipan, he doesn't like marzipan, and the lady switched for us free of charge. <3
L. L.
Its a tiny place. Had a large taro bubble tea, but it didn't have much flavour. Service was fast.
N. S.
They’ll never have the first thing you went in for, instead half of the 2nd choice thing you want, the other half is a random thing you didn’t want but they just had it in stock, probably because nobody ever orders it. Lol
M. D.
It was great, I got a tea here today and they were handling the crowd rlly well )))
s. F.
I asked for bubbatella , they said they are just doing fruits drinks today.. n I saw them having bobatella themself.. which was really rude
A. D.
The best bubble tea! I recommend the Mango-Passionfruit mix with Mango Boba (No tapioca)!
k.
Very nice boba, friendly people too, however the person taking my order got it slightly wrong :/ It turned out okay though
H. P.
I love how late this place is open. It's hard to get bubble tea anyway so when we can, we take a quick trip!
T.
Not many light options. Tastes great provided you don't mind the calories
M. S.
Easy pick up and go, usually don't have any issues at this bubbleology. It's lovely!
T. Z.
Great staff. The tea is not as good as some of its competitors' though
R. F.
Soooo good with super quick and friendly service.
E. H.
Quick service, was in and out with my usual mango..surprised as normally there is always a line outside.
S. K. Y.
