Didn't know what to expect, we saw a picture online of the food and thought we would try it. Fairly average overall! We walked in just to be told we require a reservation for breakfast even though there were loads of free tables, they did manage to accommodate us though. Inside it was freezing and hard to enjoy your food with your winter coat on. The cafe is family friendly so don't expect it to be quiet, we had a screaming new born next to us the whole time. They do redeem themselves with an excellent coffee. The food was however mediocre, the french toast was not soaked in custard properly and was dry in the middle and the poached pear was overcooked. Not enough pistachios on the plate. I think there is room for improvement with just a little more attention to detail and maybe some working radiators as we're going into the cold season.

Amazing first experience at buhler, we had the avocado on toast and vege breakfast, both really fresh, tasty and hot. Interiors are really nice and staff friendly There's three spaces to sit, in the cafe, in the middle covered outside area and the back room. We were in the middle and it was lovely. Not a negative but be aware if it's a cold day sitting in the middle area may be a bit cold unless the heaters are on.

My absolute favourite lunch/ brunch spot, beats everyone else hands down. The Vege breakfast is divine! Bit rowdy with so many kids and mum's always in there, but it's a residential neighbourhood so to be expected, and if you want it a bit more peaceful, just sit indoors.

If I could do 4.5 stars I would, the brunch style breakfasts were amazing and the locally sourced apple juice was amazing, the only downside was the hot chocolate, which was very bland. This vegetarian restaurant has so many great flavour combinations. I had the Gado Gado which was potato, broccoli tempeh and satay sauce with a poached egg... Really really good! Photo on this review is the vege fry up (minus avocado and tomato as believe it or not, not all millennials like avacado 💁🏽‍♂️), it was perfectly cooked, really tasty!

One of those places where the food really deserves all the stars. Had the brioche French toast, the peanut butter smoothie, an Americano, a latte and the quinoa balls. Everything was absolutely amazing. We sat in the back art shed part which was beautiful and bright. It is dog friendly. The only thing to note is no one told us we had to pay up at the front and we waited for the cheque to come without knowing.

Popular veggie cafe with lovely staff that I regularly go to for brunch. I love the avocado on sourdough toast, the veggie and vegan fry ups are delicious and the specials are indeed pretty special! Good teas, coffees, smoothies and juices too. Also open in the evenings and I’m looking forward to trying the evening menu again soon.

Great vegan food in Walthamstow! I'm vegan and went here with my vegetarian aunt, after my cousin recommended it. We loved the Asian-inspired dishes. The atmosphere was comfortable and serving staff were friendly. Cold night when we went there, but in summer the patio out the back will be amazing. Lovely food and apparently quite popular even with it being a little walk from Walthamstow Central.

I have been to this café many times. Food is really lovely, fresh and tasty. Have tried before their veggie breakfast, avocado on toast, scrambled eggs with mushrooms, quinoa cakes - everything is so good. I discovered last week that they serve chai latte too, which is amazing.

Fantastic food and drink options. This one one of my favourite places for brunch and would highly recommend. If you’re looking to eat out in Walthamstow, this is a must visit. The avocado and poached eggs on toast is particularly good (as seen in the photograph!). They also gave a good choice of vegetarian options - my friend had the vegetarian full English breakfast and highly recommended it. They have a wide range of drink choices including coffees, juices, smoothies and mimosas. There is limited seating Inside with some space at the back so would advise booking In advance. They have a few tables outside where you eat if the weather is nice (but again, these are limited). The staff are friendly and create a relax atmosphere which is perfect for Sunday morning brunch with friends or the family. It’s top of my list to visit when the result wants re-open in July (hopefully)! Make sure you grab one for their brownies or muffins on the way out to go.

While it looked good, the French Toast inspired dish was pretty bland and it was rather disappointing. The other dishes people got looked far better so I give them another star for it. Good filter coffee and a nice drinks selection.

Great place with very friendly and helpful staff. Was a little skeptical how a vegan option of the vege fry-up would look like, but after being promised more vegetables in replacement of egg and halloumi I went with it. Was very pleasant surprises by the great flavours and felt it was just the right portion size too. Plate was perfectly balanced and not like at other places where a vegan-option of a dish is missing something. Lots of seating in the back including a roofed over backyard, that makes you feel outdoor, but rain protected.

I'm usually a meat eating beast. I have meat for breakfast lunch, dinner and sometimes even for dessert. My friend insisted to eat here, I was very skeptical of find anything to eat. I asked the very polite and helpful waitress what to get as is just been swimming and was starving. Based on her recommendation I got the Veg fry up, and here I am writing a 5 star review. Everything on the plate was bursting with flavour and I'm stuffed but don't feel like I just made a big mistake like after I have a normal fry up, I feel full of every and ready to tackle on the day! I couldn't believe what I've been missing out on. Love the food great staff, 5*s all the way!

Really loved our brunch here, food was excellent and quite creative, we had really good service and there was a nice atmosphere on a Saturday for a reasonable price. The seating wasn’t very comfortable, and the “outdoor” area is under a plastic roof so got quite hot and uncomfortable around 23 degrees, wouldn’t want to have an outdoor seat there again! (Might be better with the fans on)

Love this place. Imaginative, delicious vegetarian food, served by friendly staff. Drinks and cakes excellent too. I recommend the veggie fry-up and particularly the quinoa cakes. If I have to find criticisms then it isn't particularly cheap (but still good value), can be very busy at peak times (because it's good) and the centre section of the cafe can be cold in winter, despite the heaters. These are all far outweighed by the positives though.

Very good place for brunch, lunch or just for a cafe visit. Staff and service they provide is friendly to families but probably suffers from limited capacity to accommodate all those families who wish to visit. Vegetarian food only, but if that could be perceived as an issue for some I would reassure you that all the menu options are all strong contenders for being chosen each time we visit regardless of their lifestyle label.

I've been to Bühler and Co on a few occasions now for breakfast/brunch. It's been consistently brilliant, the service, meals and cleanliness. They have a lovely covered area out the back and some tables inside. Popular with young family's as it's baby and dog friendly. I highly reccomend.

Last month we got married and had our reception at the wonderful Buhler and Co. We had an intimate celebration dinner of 30 people and Rosie and Meg, their incredibly talented chef Jodi and the rest of their fab staff did an amazing job of making it perfect. The menu and food was creative, quality and delicious, they decorated and gave great atmosphere to an already beautiful space and their warm, friendly service though out the evening was attentive but unintrusive. The Buhler and Co team were professional, imaginative and down to earth from start to finish, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the staff and venue for any private party or celebration. x

Went for dinner on a Saturday and had a very bad experience with the staff. It started by the manager being very rude when we arrived ,because we were 10 minutes late and didn't call. I would understand if the restaurant was full... But no, it was empty and we were the first customers of the night. Then we were told that we needed to leave at a certain time, and they didn't even allowed us to have desert, because our table was booked from that time for other people... Again I would understand if the restaurant was full, but when we left they still had more than half of the restaurant empty... I am just giving 3 stars because the food was good, but we are definitely not coming back, which is a shame.

One of the best treasures Walthamstow has to offer. Last night saw the triumphant grand opening for Dinner of this specialist little vegetarian Brunch and Cafe/Bakery. The menu was extraordinarily well thought out and balanced. The flavours and combinations were wondrous! My son and I ordered all but two items from the entire menu. You might call us gluttons - I call us indecisive! We wanted to sample everything. And we weren't disappointed. As confirmed carnivores: we ate things that we would not have normally ordered and we didn't even miss the meat. LOL. Highlights for us were the Tempura Vegetables, the Burrata and Broadbeans, and the Bao Buns with Peanut Butter Tofu Starters (we ended up ordering an extra one of those...). For the Mains: The Pumpkin Croquettes and Black Quinoa Bowl was completely gorgeous. The restaurant is charming and so is the staff. And heads up - don't miss Meg's fantastic Bloody Mary! It sets the Gold Standard and puts all the rest to shame. Plus, you can treat yourself to some of their baked goods to take away. The Savoury Muffins and Gluten Free Lemon Curd Cakes won't make it all the way home! Well done and a massive congratulations.

I have been here a few times, however I went tonight and the food was very disappointing. It really lacked flavour. The potatoes in the Penang dish could not have been boiled with any salt as they tasted completely bland, this was the same for the tempura veg, the batter lacked seasoning and flavour. Lastly the burrata was served almost frozen in the centre, it was completely solid when cutting into it. I hope they were just having an off day, as I do like the place a lot and the staff are friendly.

Going downhill. My friend and I have been almost every fortnight for a year and were really disappointed with our experience this weekendl. We were served by a really rude new staff member this Sunday, who sat people right next to us without asking and rolled her eyes when we moved inside because we were cold. Took her 15 minutes to come back to tell me they didn't have oat milk and could I have soy...also our favourite Quinoa cakes recipe has been changed (as it does from time to time), but the new one is completely flavourless and the £2 extra halloumi is now a pretty small portion. Don't think we'll be back again after that experience.
