Reviews of Cafe Tamra
A. M.
Enjoyed the quick service although they were busy. Did not have to wait long for the Turkish Eggs. Staff was also attentive, if you needed dessert or the bill.
Outdoor seating with disabled access. One unisex toilet with baby changing facilities.
C. K.
Well laid out seating outdoors (there is a £1.50 levy per person for the road closure) meant that that we were able to have quite an enjoyable experience at Cafe Tamara. Service was also prompt and friendly.
We had a flat white to start which was pretty good. For food we had the shakshuka and the vegan Lebanese breakfast. We felt the scrambled tofu in the vegan breakfast was a little bit too salty. I can’t fault the shakshuka which was lovely.
Definitely a place we would visit again if we were in the area.
L. S.
Nice atmosphere and good customer service. We had brunch here today and we enjoyed it. We had Turkish eggs with Halloumi which I found very spicy, even I like spicy food but I found it extra spicy and the halloumi was a bit burned so couldn’t finish it. Partner had Halloumi wrap and he found really good. The little one had chicken nuggets and I like that it was served in kids plate. We also had juices, hot chocolate and flat white and they all were good. I like that the cafe is kids and dogs friendly, for first time I wasn’t worrying that the little one could break a dish or cup as his food and drinks was offered in kids plate and paper cup.

Excellent little cafe with an amazing menu. Hit the spot, and quite possibly one of the best fried breakfasts I've ever had.
Popular location though, so plan ahead to avoid disappointment. It's quite a small venue, so fills up fast!
Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Yum! such a nice little cafe with seating both inside and out. The atmosphere is cosy and the food was amazing. The waiters and waitresses are also polite and had a smile on their faces. I would recommend this cafe very much.
A. T.
Lovely café with good food and service! We got there around noon and we were lucky to get a table outside. They have a good healthy menu with really good coffee and espresso.
It’s a good place for dog owners to go to. We saw a couple of dogs in the outdoor seating area and they had a bowl of water to stay cool.
F. P.
The best place on Northcote Road for sure! There might be a queue at the weekends but it 100% is worth the wait. Amazing brunch spot for fresh, homemade and innovative dishes. I love the sundried brunch and pancakes. The staff are amazing, always so happy and accommodating.
J. D.
Amazing coffee and brunch food! Perfect avocado toast with fried eggs and chorizo. And great and attentive staff too! Would highly recommend!
R. E.
Fantastic lunch. We had quesadillas and the tricolore brunch. Both were very tasty indeed. Good drinks, excellent quick and friendly service. A short wait to get a table but worth it.
S. R.
Beautiful food and lovely staff.
I ordered the yoghurt bowl which was filled with fresh fruit, granola and a delicious berry coulis. I also ordered the 'green juice' which had a slightly minty taste which was very refreshing.
The staff were friendly and attentive and it was all very affordable (even before the eotho discount). Will definitely be back again to try more as the other food looked and smelled equally delicious.

Stumbled across this place today when everything had gone a bit wrong with meeting two friends (Black Friday weekend traffic) we were running really late and ended up changing plans to go to Clapham junction. This place was spot on! We all wanted very different things as it was around 4pm and this place accommodated all of our needs! I had fishcakes which were yummy.
N. F.
Honestly best brunch/breakfast on Northcote Rd.
Had the avocado eggs and chorizo which was served on crisp and fluffy sourdough bread, fresh avocado and tasty spicy chorizo all topped with perfect sunny Side up eggs.
I regret waiting so long to try it.
J.
Went there for a lunch on Saturday. Normally very busy place so hard to get a seat. The customer service was really good. I had avocado and poached egg on sourdough toast with halloumi. Id go back to other things they have on menu. Nice selection of cakes.
J. F.
Came here at the recommendation of a friend. Had the day's special, eggs on sourdough bread with fried green asparagus, prosciutto and homemade hollandaise. The eggs were great, the bread was amazing and the sauce was just right. My cappuccino looked perfect and the staff was very nice and provided swift but not intrusive service. Their wifi is really fast and is not one of those sign up services. I'll be back for sure!
I. H.
Love it! Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, very nice service. A lovely neighbourhood restaurant!
N. L.
Great food with great service. Enjoyed their vegan courgette fritters for brunch and the smoothie.
K. L.
SO GOOD! Such a tempting menu, and so many gluten-free and dairy-free options. Food was amazing and the staff were friendly and attentive even though they were so busy. Dog friendly too, my dog got treats, water and lots of attention!
M. D.
Always a treat to brunch or have breakfast there. Love the tricolore brunch 🍞🥑🍳 but the pancakes are also a must have 🥞

My GO-TO Spot in London
Cafe Tamra is hands down the only spot I will visit for brunch when I am visiting London. The staff is incredible, the food exceptional, and the energy of the cafe is palpable.
I flew in from NYC that morning, and Cafe Tamra hit the spot for me. From the creative coffee drinks *red velvet latte*, to the falafel that reminded me of being in Beirut, I was full of good energy and good food by the time we left.
Thanks, Cafe Tamra!! I will be back soon!
F. R.
Amazing food and friendly staff, full lebanese breakfast is to to for in this place. Only downside that prices are bit higher than competition.
J. T.
I really like this place - the food is great and it's in a good location. I've been going for many years. But i've knocked off a star for one important reason....
The one thing that lets it down are some of the staff. I read another review that described them as 'agressive' and it's sort of true. One girl yesterday looked at me like I was an alien when I asked if they had any non dairy milk. Then when we said it was a work breakfast she was like "oh isn't it well for some". Very odd - it's almost uncomfortable her attitude. And be prepared to wait to be seen to...
Overall it's a great place to go but the staff really let it down. I hope this is constructive to the owners.
J. F.
Very nice place, they have a great variety of breakfast meals. You should definitely check out the garden in the back. It's a little hided, very quite and lovely maintained. I loved the food, the drinks and the friendly staff.
D. W.
Great place for brunch. Staff are lovely and food is delicious 😋
M. P.
A group of 5 of us went for brunch and we all found the menu varied, interesting and creative. A top class full English breakfast to a Mexican variation via a Turkish alternative and pancakes to die for!
Fresh ingredients well cooked with very friendly service all at a sensible price.
L. S.
Excellent cafe and loved sitting outside. The breakfast was so good - all of the classics and a middle Eastern twist. So many vegetarian and vegan options too. Coffee was great and service was good enough (they were super busy!). Will definitely be coming back.
K. K.
The menu looks nice, but had to take 1 point off for the long waiting time and another point for a hard boiled egg instead of a runny poached egg...
M. T.
I came to London for a week from Canada, and I made sure to maximize my breakfast and brunch experience at Tamra. Every morning, I wanted to go back. There's just something about the fresh ingredients and spices that revamps your tastebuds to another level. I've done my fair share of traveling and food tasting around the world but I can say that the brunch here beats any other! The ambiance is great - newly renovated interior with a male Barista who's definitely easy on the eyes! It's worth making the trip to Battersea.
A. S.
Lovely little cafe with outdoor seats. Recieved some complimentary snacks and water for the pooch and had lots to choose from for brekkie.
S. V.
Cosy place with great coffee, classic brunch options and awesome logo. The service is fast and polite.
J. C.
No wonder this place always has a queue. Brunch was amazing, I had the tricolour and my girlfriend had the breakfast quesadilla which were both really good. Great coffee and lovely service! Will recommend
G. L.
One of the better places on Northcote Road. The Turkish Eggs were sooooo good! Good coffee as well! And not too pricey, considering how delish it was. I'll definitely be back.
S. K.
Very generous servings. Way too much. The granola is served in a bowl so big it's almost mad.
The smoothies were great but should be bigger or a tad cheaper.
The pancakes were good but too sweet and they are served with a very large and round scoop of butter. Pretty much the size of a scoop of ice cream. And a tiny bucket of maple syrup.
Everything was sprinkled with powdered sugar which was really not necessary.
The staff was charming and very kind.
The place would benefit from charging a bit less AND reducing their portions.
Will go back again but with pointers now that I know it better.
Also they do not accept cash.
C. C.
Delicious place to have breakfast. Sad I couldn't make swaps as a fussy eater.
F. C.
Delicious brunch options, amazingly fluffy pancakes, great coffee. Waiting staff is super nice, I forgot my mask there by mistake, they ran out into the street to find me and return it. We go every weekend!
L. A.
Spontaneous trip. Food was great, good portion sizes, great atmosphere and lovely service. You must try the berry pancakes it was amazing 👏
S. O.
The best place to brunch when it’s hot outside! We had a great table outdoors and could’ve spent hours just people watching while enjoying Tamra’s excellent coffee. My personal fave dish is the shalshuka but the classic poached eggs on sourdough is a close second.
F. W.
Casual restaurant serving wickedly delicious food. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Meal included additional side dishes (and drinks) was cooked to order and served piping hot. Ingredients were fresh and appeared locally sourced. Seating includes a mix of indoor and outdoor. Free neighbourhood WiFi. Price was less than expected given everything I’d ordered. Really happy I discovered this restaurant. Highly recommended.
d.
I've been here a couple of times with friends and find the food very appealing and tasty. The concept to me seems to be healthy food with interesting fusions. So you have a really wide variety of flavours. I had an amazing lentils soup on a winters day. And in a different visit I tried the pulled beef. It was delicious although a bit too salty for my companion. The coffee was very good too and the staff was superb. The only downside for me is that is quiet a small cramped place, so if busy, you have other diners very close to you. But if you consider yourself sociable, then is not a problem. I will comeback for the food and the coffee.
P. R.
Really love this place, especially for brunch. Staff is always super friendly, plenty of options for veggies and vegans- the dishes with halloumi are my fav. Outdoor seating with heaters when it gets busy, which on the weekends usually is, but not a long wait.
X. S. (.
Vibrant color, complex taste, attentive waiter. My friends and I we had a good time.
A.
I really enjoyed my afternoon at this place: the whole staff was super friendly, the coffee (flat white) was really good and the food...wow!
If you’re veggie, you’ll still find a good selection to choose from: E.g. I shared a grilled halloumi wrap and pancakes with a friend - both so good and high quality.
K. J.
The place is nice while a bit crowded. Tables are so close together you're basically forced to be part of your neighbours' conversation. Nice food and coffee, however, I told a male waiter that I cannot have coriander to which he was very accommodating, but the plate arrived with a coriander salsa drizzle next to the food. When I told the female waiter that I was allergic (it's much easier than to explain that it's a genetic intolerance - also, frankly, nobody's business), she laughed and said "I mean, coriander isn't an allergen, but..." and proceeded to take the plate away to wipe off the salsa. I thought that was a strange and unkind reaction and it kind of put me off going back.
J. R.
Excellent quality breakfast and service. We recently enjoyed brunch out on the pavement at the weekend and thought it was possibly the best we'd had in the area, and there is plenty of competition!
A. P.
Best brunch place in Clapham area, yummy plates and friendly staff! Highly recommended
M. A.
Stumbled upon this place by accident and very glad we did. Great food, coffee, service and atmosphere. Looking forward to when it's a little warmer to sit outside and have breakfast! We will definitely be back!
P.
Very fresh and tasty breakfast. Quick service and nice staff. Reasonable price.
S. N.
Yummy breakfasts. The kids love the American style fluffy pancakes slathered in Maple Syrup and we love all the interesting egg breakfasts. Lunch there is also very good and the banana bread is fantastic. Good food, good service, worth a stop if you're in the area.
P. T.
One of the most authentic and exquisite brunch spots in London - highly recommend ! Coffee is crafted to perfection every time and the food is spot on!
J. M.
There's loads of places for breakfast/brunch along Northcoate Rd, but this is my favourite
Friendly staff and pretty quick with the food (which had always been tasty when I've eaten here)
J. S. d. l. F.
This is a really cool local breakfast place. A mix between classic British and Mediterranean kitchen. Relaxed atmosphere. Signature dish fried eggs on sourdough with chorizo. Not disappointing at all. Definitely one of the places to go if you are local.
M. C.
Been here way too many times. Recommend absolutely anything on the menu that takes your fancy. Simple menu, fresh organic ingredients, amazing sourdough in a cosy, warm environment that staff take pride in. Thank you guys!
N. B.
Cafe Tamra is one of our absolute favourite neighborhood restaurants. The quality of the breakfast and brunch is the best in the area. I recently organised a large event in Tamra's beautiful "secret" back garden and was delighted with the decor, presentation, and service - despite the large size of our group. Highly recommended for great food and also for special events.
C. M.
I love this cafe: the menu is full of a variety of delicious dishes including some breakfast, brunch and lunch classics, drinks, smoothies, cakes, and more.
The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back, and I love how the staff recognise me as a local and make me feel welcome.
Their signature avocado, chorizo and egg on sourdough is so delicious that I rate it as one of the top reasons to live in Clapham Junction.
They've also refurbished it several months ago which has really spruced up the place, and they offer free wifi as well as reasonable prices.
They're busy on the weekends and a wait is sometimes required for a table, but it's well worth it.
I love this place.
E. K.
Can’t get enough of this place, food, service, price, everything spot on.
I am a coffee fanatic and their coffee is also one if the beau in the street.
Five stars every single time! ❤️
L. E.
Good food and service but expensive for what you get. Service charge automatically added to bill and then a Covid £1.50 charge. Won’t be visiting again sadly.
D.
A nice place to eat and drink if a little over prices. It's staff are friendly and they have outdoor heating. I'm sure they'd do a roaring trade if they opened in the evenings too! Food comes with a carafe of water so no need to waste money on bottled water. Except it to be busy on the weekends with a queue often seen outside.
D. F.
Busy at the weekend, do you might have to wait for a table. Serves a wide range of of breakfasts, egg meals and cakes. My son had the the full English breakfast and I had the Full Lebanese breakfast (which is a vegetarian version of the English - felafel, hummus, eggs, etc) highly recommend.
S. S.
Had an amazing brunch that was reasonably priced. Service is great but can get a little slow when busy. Other than that, this is probably one of the best brunch spots in London.
S. R.
It's become my 'go-to' breakfast/brunch place in the area.
The personality of the place shines through in the food, the service is very personable and its generally just a nice, uplifting place to be for 45 mins in the morning. I can't fault it.
B. C.
Super nice staff, competent barista. They have a lot of healthy food options and drinks. The store is really cozy.
And above all : the vegan chocolate cake
M. L.
Good food and plenty of vegetarian options - the falafel wrap was delicious and the chunky chips were crisp. The halloumi sandwich could have been better (with a less overpowering bread than foccacia), and the waitstaff are a little chaotic, but the place was buzzing with locals and well worth a try.
B. P.
The food here is very good and is a great brunch spot. There is outdoor seating at the front and in the rear garden. It is a dog friendly cafe and they have dog treats and water bowls.
T. C.
Amazing cafe made with great ingredients, Food is always fantastic and the team super friendly. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s the perfect spot!
M. S.
Nice brunch place in Clapham. Has a middle eastern twist but you can also find an English breakfast on their menu.
Z. S.
The food and coffee here is absolutely divine
B. M.
Highly recommend the food, delicious breakfast! One of the best brunch options on the northcote road.
M. G.
Really delicious brunch and friendly atmosphere. Service was quick despite being super busy.
W. S.
Awesome breakfast spot. Good coffee. Good food. Cant wait to go back and try the other delicious items on the menu.
j. h.
Very tasty food. The breakfast quesadilla is different each time, which I find intriguing. Also I have been ordering it by calling it a "quesillada", though that doesn't appear to have fazed them.
L. F.
great small breakfast/lunch place in clapham junction
breakfasts are great
can become quite busy at times!
they do have outdoor seating and allow dogs!
E. H.
Quite small but lovely atmosphere and food. I had Shakshouka with sourdough bread a cappuccino with oatly - it came beautifully presented and was delicious!
S. S.
Best Brunch menu in SW London in my opinion. Would recommend the ShakShouka or Chorizo, Eggs and Avo. Do not miss out!!
A. P.
Best independent coffee shop in tje area. Great breakfasts with a Mediterranean infuelnce. Try thr avocado and chorizo eggs and the strawberry and banana smoothie. Very friendly staff!
L. L.
Nice, comfy and baby friendly place. We didn't have a full meal as we went in the middle of the afternoon but the banana and walnut cake was delicious.
M. C. V.
Vegan fritters are incredible! Virgin mary was okay.
M. 5.
Great little friendly and cosy place with tasty food. Minus one star as the price doesn't include service charge, whilst most other local places do.
M. T.
An excellent brunch with so much variety. Friendly staff. Will definitely go there again

M. M.
A nice brunch spot with good food and coffee, but fairly slow service even when it wasn’t super busy.
C. H.
Tasty brunch menu with a Middle Eastern twist
G. P.
We had to wait a while (over 40 minutes) but the wait was worth it! Great food and we were given a complimentary coffee as we waited.
S. H.
Lovely food and great service. Wonderful place to bring the kids for weekend breakfast.
R. A.
Surprised to see that actually there was just a hint of yoghurt in the granola dish. At 6£ you would expect a little more... a bit stingy.
J. M.
Amazing breakfast, the best in Clapham Junction!!
G. Z.
Ok decent café bar. Food is ok but not exciting. The staff are very nice.
T. S.
