Was gifted a voucher for afternoon tea for 2. Read the reviews and didn't expect much. Pleasantly surprised with it. More than enough to eat for 2. Sandwiches tasted fresh. Scones were soft and served warm. Lovely cakes. A choice of different teas. And a glass of prosecco each. The service was polite although could have been a little more friendly. Clean premises including toilets. Would recommend.

We visited this place yesterday .We really enjoyed the food but the waitress, who couldn’t wait for us to finish our meal, starting to collect our plates because we had finished. How rude and unprofessional we thought.Give the customers time to eat and enjoy their food . Don’t let them feel that they only have 5 minutes to eat and then they need to go!

Upscale breakfast. Not wanting to wait in the rain and cold for the breakfast club in Soho decoded to go to the Caffé concerto instead. We spotted this place on our way to the breakfast club. Did the right choice. Nice and very courteous service. Breakfast with egg florentine was outstanding. And very large choice of very appetising cakes to take away or go back for an afternoon tea. Ramadan 2017, my sister and I were starving and arrived at caffe concerto 40 minutes before iftar. We ordered our salmon and it came really quick so the waiter kindly took our food back until it thirty minutes later to break fast. The food was still warm and fresh. Delicious! The milk shake was a bit bland but it didn't put me off. Great service.

Our visit was OK but wow the staff here really are the worst I have experienced in all my travels in all the places I have ever eaten at... I really can't think of ever seeing such miserable staff anywhere else. Don't expect the women that work here to smile or respond in any other way than unenthusiasticly. You can litrally overhear tables muttering about the rude staff the atmosphere created from this is dull and as miserable as the faces you encounter. We were here out of pure convenience due to attending the theatre across the road, in terms of location it's perfect. The food was OK for the price paid but nothing special. It's memorable because it just feels like it must take more effort to keep your face in such a blank, miserable, unresponsive way than it would to smile once in a while or to express any kind of emotion or reaction when dealing with people looking directly at you. Won't forget this place but won't be back.

I was attracted by the classy look of this cafe but right after I stepped in, I was bluntly told by the manager that it's not ok just to have drinks only. I prefer it subtly have this printed on the menu rather than smashed me up with this. I felt like I wasn't just a customer/tourist looking for a place to enjoy a nice afternoon but I have to responsible for the profitability of the cafe too. I also noticed that the staffs were as stressed as me because no one was smiling when the manager was constantly orchestrating his team. As for the food, the look of pastries was not particularly wowing but I did enjoy a nice pot of green tea.

On a hot day 32 degrees, August the 24th. Never been to cafe concerto before, the Shaftesbury avenue location caught my attention because I love elegant and decadent spots. I am usually a black coffee type, but I decided to change routine due to the heat. The best iced tea I ever had, bold ice cubes, has a mango and passion fruit taste, the iced tea was homemade as the waitress explained to me it is freshly done. The strawberry tart and fresh cream was divine, with the chocolate emblem "caffe concerto". As a tip I brought a chocolate croissant, and I rarely give tips because we are not in America. But in this case, the décor had character, the beverage, the moist refreshing cake and hospitality of the staff are friendly, happy and great service. I would go again, I was looking for a favourite spot in the heart of the city near the parks, this is perfect. Highly recommended

Staff and manager could benefit from hospitality training. See customers waiting? Don't ignore them (every one of you), give some acknowledgement e.g. I'll be with you in a moment. Customer asks for the bill? Don't just look at us then walk away and shout to another person to sort it out. Food is nice but overpriced.

I'll start with the good part: The flavour of our mains, we both had pasta and they both tasted good. They were quite filling too. The service was adequate. Now the problems: The starter was confusing, it looked like they'd got a pizza base from a supermarket then spread tomato sauce and drizzled pesto on top. This was bland and looked extremely low budget. The coke I ordered was watery, flat and warm, ice was in the process of cooling it but the coke itself clearly hasn't been left chilled or sealed - this small glass was about a fiver! And taking off the price, this is an average chain not a fancy independent restaurant. £56 for two people is excessive, we only had a soft drink each, one shared starter and two pasta mains.

The cakes in the window drew us to this cafe. The ambiance and interior are really nice. The menu is varied. The cakes were average, quite ok but not exceptional. We were informed that the Danish pastry is fresh from the morning but might suffer now in late afternoon. That was fair information.

Absolutely great Café. Just had an (I suppose) english breakfast with scones and clotted cream and a lot of fantastic cakes and fabulous coffee and tea. The location seems luxurious but prices are quite low (not Aldi low though). I would absolutely recommend this place and am very happy I found it. We're walking out now with a bag of high quality cakes we didn't manage to eat right here but still want later (I don't normally take anything I haven't eaten from a restaurant).

Good location just off Piccadilly, nice restaurant with chandeliers. Very nice waitress, middle aged lady. Food was great. The mistro we shared was very tasty, good selection of sliced meats, olives, breads and little mozzarellas. Then I had chicken and asparagus risotto which was a tad stodgy and on a cold plate, always a minus for me but tasty and my friend had fish and chips which she said was great, lovely crisp batter. 12 1/2% service added. I prefer to always give in cash and decide how much. I want to know the waitress receives it not the owner. The cakes and puddings always look great but we were full up having had the starter.

Good food with a lot of choice, although slightly pricey. However the service wasn't brilliant. It took someone on the table next to us to alert a waiter to take our order, with a lacking friendly tone, and they forgot one of our plates at first.

As overseas visitors to London my friend and I were glad we found Caffe Concerto so soon after arriving. Most morning's we had our breakfast there and as it is close to theatres it was handy to get a bite to eat or just a coffee. The staff were wonderful, with special mention of Cain Clarke. At christmas time in London we- my husband and I- stumbled through the door off caffe concerto- Me in a Wheelchair. Had a warm welcome and help. The waitress was most courteous. After a lovely chaicoffee and Nice lemoncake we wanted to pay. Unfortunatly the bankcard didnt work and Keane the manager was most patiënt and we had a good laugh about it while looking for a sollution. Al ended well and we had a great conversation about the caffee. A wonderfull afternoon spend! It can be so Simple and yet you will not always encounter joy courtiousness and a friendly hand.

I recently pop into this fine establishment near china town Piccadilly......It was a busy Friday evening with plenty of people looking for seating. I was alone, I got a seat very quickly and ordered just desert and drink.....The waitress was very friendly and helpful, I took my time as i had many phone calls and message to deal with. Dis-bite my small order and taking up a double table for so long at such a busy period i was not made to rush, Not made to feel uncomfortable at all.......The Desert was brilliant, atmosphere pleasant and welcoming......I have reviewed many establishments over the years....The service the lovely staff gave is up there with the best your gonna find on a busy weekend evening in the West End....Fantastic

Interesting experience after a show across the street. We had just finished seeing "The Curious Incident..." and hopped into this place for a bite and coffees. Table of four, one order of pasta and the rest various pastries and coffees which were all good and the service was good as well....However, we were tourists and were targeted by what appeared to be a four member group of thieves. A lady sat behind my wife, ordered a coffee and after paying went into my partners purse. We were alerted by another patron who saw this and she proceeded to threaten this kind man's life as her accomplices would be waiting for him as he left. The staff shrugged and said "It's London", fair enough I suppose. But I think you should be aware that this business is not a safe place to be unaware of who's around you. We all left together and everyone arrived at the tube safely.

As with all cafe concertos, it's overpriced and the service is okay but it's open late and it's nice enough if you're with family or a few friends and fancy a coffee. I don't know why anyone would eat here, but it seems popular with tourists. Whilst this is one of the better branches, I'd avoid this tourist trap if you can.

Visited the Shaftesbury avenue restaurant in Jan 2016 whilst on a weekend trip sightseeing trip in London. Had a delightful lunch which was served by equally delightful staff. Ok it's not cheap but given the location just round the corner from Leicester Square I didn't expect it to be. However they were still serving breakfast at 11:50 even though it clearly stated on the menu that lunch started at 11:30 and tbh if you're in the area at that time you probably want lunch before a matinee not a hangover cure. I had a very watery and lukewarm spaghetti bolognese but the folks I was with enjoyed their food and the service was good. Toilets were grubby though and they are obviously aiming for the world's smallest pot of tea award.

I recently visited your Caffe' Concerto at the Westfield Shopping Centre and I must say wasy very disappointed. When we approached the staff to ask about how would you like us to order, at the bar or at the table, the response was clearly, this is far too much trouble, shrugged shoulders, barely eye contact, very few words to suggest a conversation took part, in the end we realised we had to order at the bar and wait for the order and take it to our seats ourselves!! I have been to other cafe concerto's one being bluewater, and the service is always first class. This is not what I expect from a high class bar/cafe at all, and will certainly not return to this particular branch which is a shame as I am very fond of all the food, drinks etc, But far too rude for me.

Having recently enjoyed a very pleasant visit to this fine little gem of a establishment near the theatre lane at SHAFTESBURY AVENUE.....I returned to experience another fine dine....The food was very nice, desert brilliant and service pleasant, friendly and very welcoming.
