Went in as my partner was gagging for a full English (not the ‘smashed-avo on sour dough’ kind) the food here was great, exactly what you’d expect from a greasy spoon.. and they don’t make many of these around Tooting! Only gave 4 star because the place needs a bit of decorating, maybe some new furniture. And they put the salt in a pepper pot - not ideal for those OCD’s !!!

They don’t make them like this anymore. The sort of establishment where you can get a hearty meal at a good value price. Cash is preferred, but the staff are amenable to chip and pin.

Fish and chips were good 👍 Carrot cake tasty 😋 However, peas straight from the can, too sweet Apple crumble (not sure if it's default always includes custard, but I'm my option the custard ruins this desert), and Tartar sauce that expired in 2019. The fish and chips with a good sauce would be worth it - the canned peas don't add anything to the meal. Maybe a salad option?

A small cafe but fairly popular. The only toilets are upstairs so not sure if they could cope with disabled people
