Stopped off on the way to the Narrowboat Pub and was greated by a very friendly and smiley owner. Took a seat next to the canal and listened to the water fall coming off the lock. Had a double gin, which was nice. Really pleasant relaxing place for a drink. Didn't have any, but the food looked pretty good as well.

I always had just passed here during walk, and finally visited here!
It has a great canal view and very friendly customer service.
Had Full English Breakfast and Eggs Benedict with tea.
Was a very windy day but there was a heater outside so it was okay. (don't really know whether they have indoor seats as well.)
The price could be a little bit expensive but it's compatible.
The beans in English Breakfast is quite special cos I think it's home made one. Also black pudding is amazing even though I didn't really go for it usually.
They have Brunch, Lunch, and after Lunch menu.
we had a great time here, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone cos it's really nice to have Brunch in great canal view!
You can hear water falls from canal :-)

The place is real nice, don't have to mention the perk to be next to the canal, a good place to have a lunch if is not raining

Took aaaages. Like fully 45 minutes for the staff to even acknowledge us and serve. Lucky it was a nice day and we were happy to wait. But plenty of people got served before us despite arriving 30 mins later.

Nice location, friendly service food was very good. Virgin Mary was a bit too spicy... Quite pricey but justified by location and quality.
S. L.
Food is really good and you cannot beat the location ! Perfect for a sunny morning brunch or a lunch along the canal!
Unfortunately the service is really bad and it ruins our lunch.
J. H.
Enjoyed a nice steak sandwich on the towpath opposite the canal lock. Friendly service.
A. P.
Lovely place to sit beside the canal and enjoy a coffee break during a walk around Angel and the tow path, has restrooms and sockets to charge your phone
W. K.
I really enjoy the ice latte here. Wonderful view,a sense of tranquility in the lunch break, just perfect.
A. S.
Great canal-side cafe to grab a snack and enjoy the night lights of the surrounding buildings.
R. S.
Lovely little cafe, perfect in most every way. The only downside is that it doesn't always open quite when expected. 😅
P. W.
The heart of London and you'd never realize it !

It's a coffee tht I have seen it a lot during my walks. Is located right next to the canal, always joyful, always full of life, with the beautiful sitting area outdoors you can have a lovely time there. Pet friendly. Romantic. Family friendly. Simply great

Lovely walk by the canal and boats to canal cafe where i belatedly celebrated my birthday with a cake complete with candles. Very friendly staff at cafe and plenty of outdoor tables, some with umbrellas to keep cool in this heatwave. Enjoyable day.

Lovely relaxed coffee house at the Regent's Canal just few yards of the hustle and bustle of Angel Islington. Love it.
R. M.
Fantastic food and friendly staff can't wait to go back
C. F.
Great views, just okay coffee. Almond croissant was under-baked and limp.
T. G.
Such a great care on the canal, beautiful mix of old and new architecture to look out onto. The coffee is really good but the pastry is what you should come for. Their cinnamon buns are excellent.
S. M.
Cute cafe right on the canal in Islington. A lovely sun trap and a great place to have a drink and watch passersby and boats float by. Friendly and polite service. Good coffee.
J. W.

J. J.

The location of Canal 5 is one of the most beautiful spots in London. Right on the canal at Angel. I had the veggie breakfast at 15h00 - and it was delicious. Mushrooms, Avocado, rustic bread, poached eggs and the star of the show - amazing real baked beans. Just great. Oh and really excellent coffee.
M. H.
Great place for coffee and pastries just off of the City Basin Canal.
C. K.
A community cafe serving truly great coffee and refreshingly great lunch. A local hidden gem with a unique view over the lock and the canal basin.
Nothing beats a morning coffee of light lunch on a clear day.
A.
Its great to be living next to water and have a canal that runs from Angel all the way up to little venice and beyond. Im a careful cyclist who loves to cycle the canal route or take the dog for a walk...some times the canal is covered in duckweed which the dog I was walking mistook for grass and jumped in so beware if you have a dog and it might not be able to swim. Great place just to have a drink and let your fee dangle in the water.
R.
Lovely place especially in the sun! Go there by yourself or with your friends and the vibes and the location will make you feel like you’re at a movie
H. L.
Best amphibious cafe in the world.
A.
A real gem on a quieter and sunny part of the canal. Lovely staff and excellent coffee made by Italians - the best!
J. G.
A nice place for a small chill in the middle of the city with a relaxing view
S. Z.
The consistency of the avocado was perfectly smashed. It was smashing, they smashed it. The real fish within the home made fish cakes was fintastic. (No bones). Corn pancakes were delicious and the maple syrup was real syrup!!! View over the canal and sunshine merit a visit from a landscape painter!
This will be a new regular weekend haunt.
E. B.
Perfect spot for coffee or a few drinks while enjoying the canal view. The food and service was great even though it was a busy, sunny evening.
F. W.
Incredible experience! Popped in and curled up in the corner with my laptop to quickly finish some work (I know, one of those dickeheads) staff so helpful, and then the wonderful chef, think his name was Freddy - sent me over some soup - on the house! it;s these little acts of kindness that can renew your faith in the world. he didn't need to, but just wanted to be kind - it made my day. well, my week! thank you Freddy!
D. J.
Kept walking past this place without going in but I was missing out! Delicious coffee and great friendly service. The food looks great so I need to come back for lunch.
B. L.

Great experience attending the Canal Festival....
M. J.
Friendly staff but I was served cow's milk in my coffee instead of soya which resulted in my being ill for several hours. Please be more careful.
K. S.
Perfect place for Sunday breakfast when the weather is good. Can be quite slow when busy, but there's a great view to look at while waiting so it's not that bad.
G.
Lovely brunch by the canal
V. D.
Cafe is great nice views good coffee nice staff , The only thing that ruins things are the idiot bikers who think the canal is a race track and the joggers who think they own the canal who think it's funny to bump into small children and old people these people are very rude and will cause fatel accident s one day if the council continues to allow them on the canal I actually doubt if these idiots even understand that the waterway paths are primarily for pedestrians and the fact that some of these cyclists have no idea of the highway code concludes for me how unenjoyable they make this lovely cafe and views for normal pedestrians seriously if these idiots continue to act like 5year old someone will get seriously hurt or will end up in the canal Islington Council get up off your lazy back side and do something positive
N. A.
Lovely little cafe, great cakes, brownies and coffee. Sit outside if you can as the view of the canal is really nice
K. D.

The service is a bit all over the place, but it's a lovely little cafe that I would frequent. Love the canal settling and the coffee is pretty good.
S. Z.
Great spot for drinks during day and evening. Wouldn’t recommend the food platters, overpriced for what it is.
A. G.
It's a canal. There are ducks, geese, moorhens, boats and people. There are a few places to eat and drink too. Lovely for a stroll, especially in summer.
