Great tasting coffee and lovely warm place. A nice escape from the office. Had a divine toffee crisp too. Recommended!

Fantastic food, all home made! Dinny was a really friendly server.
Lots of alternative milk options. A nice covered garden outside. A gem !

Cute cafe. Not much room to sit but fantastic coffee :))))

Nice local Italian coffee shop ...
price is reasonable in the city of London.

Great little independent coffee shop. I'm fortunate to work nearby and this is the best coffee around. Definitely pop in on your way to St Paul's, you will not be disappointed.
D. C.
One of the best coffee shops in London - every one made well and friendly staff. Price okay and generous loyalty card so not paying a premium fair the great quality either. Tiny inside so best for either a quick espresso or take away.

Delicious coffee & sandwiches and truly exceptional service

I tried this shop for the first time and was surprised how small it was. I ordered an iced latte and while I waited for it, I had a really interesting conversation about various types of coffee especially cold brewed ones, rhey also offer these. I enjoyed his experience from ordering until finishing my fabulous coffee.

My new favourite coffee stop en route to the office. Tiny shop tucked away off the beaten track, but definitely worth seeking out. Friendly team, great flat white and delicious almond croissants. There are quite a few decent coffee options nearby, and this is one of the best.
A. P.
Solid coffee. Better to support the independents.

Great & affordable artisan coffee in the city. The latte & cappucino are always served at the right, warm temperatures. Also thumbs up to them for using 100% compostable cups for takeaway!

It's been my morning treat for a year now. The coffee is fantastic, even better than most cafes in Italy (there, I said it!) and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommended.

Great coffee and super value for money tea, will definitely visit again when I'm next in the area and in need of a cuppa. Thank you to the two ladies serving. Nice milk and choice of 'mylk' option too.

Run by a friendly and energetic team of Italians who shout out "ciao!" to any one leaving like they will really miss you. Honestly, a 30-second chat with them is enough for me to feel uplifted. Actually just ordering the coffee with them makes me feel more alive. I did enjoy the flat white, made using Climpsons and Sons. Although there was a lot more milky volume than I'm used to. They have a few bakes on show. The coffee house is tiny and there is very limited seating.

Friendly staff made me very welcome.
First and foremost they take coffee seriously which is the most important thing.
Perfect coffee and latte art. Great music. I will definitely visit again

Having once worked for a coffee company and having visited about 50 independent coffee houses in London. Carter lane is top 5!
They tend to have a lovely floral, smooth bean which I'm a fan of but the best thing about carter lane is they aren't pretentious, they don't snear if you ask the difference between a cortado and piccolo
They are friendly, fast and serve really nice coffee. It's hard to find something to complain about!

I stumbled across the Carter Lane Coffee Shop on my way to a meeting at Blackfriars - my latte was so good I had to get another one on my way back! It's a pity I don't work closer, otherwise I'd frequent it every day. Very friendly staff also.

Very nice place, with great coffee and friendly staff. Bit too small and hot to sit in. Nice decor with all the postcards. Price is standard for this part of the city.

Independent coffee shops are two a penny in this part of London, but CL stands out from the crowd. Friendly, skilled and efficient baristas (a rare combination), good vibe and superior espressos/cortados etc. Made with Climpson beans which to my taste are about the best along with Coleman - nicely balanced and not too acidic. Even the decaf is a cut above.

This is my favourite place for coffee in the Bank/St Paul's area. I am happy to make the ten minute walk from my office because the coffee is great and reasonably priced, and chatting with the wonderful staff is a pleasure!

The service is always friendly, they have very good coffee at very reasonable price (for London) and their selection of confectionery is small but excellent.
