Reviews of Casey’s

I popped in last week and got addicted to the delicious flavors since then.
Coffee is great and brownie is a must-eat. 💐

This is the best bakery in Clapton bar none. Fresh loaves, good coffee, and a handful of groceries should you want something a bit nicer for the pantry.

During the pandemic Casey's kept us well fed since they produce day in, day out the most delicious bread and pastries. The shop is well stocked with gourmet staple deli produce ethically sourced and also reasonably priced for your kitchen's pantry. God bless the hard working team behind this bakery! I'm grateful and lucky to live next door, it is my neighbourhood's precious gem.

Very good bread, eggs, avocados and coffee. Staff are always friendly.

Really nice shop, delicious pastries, great coffee and super friendly staff. Wish I lived closer to go there more often!

The team are super warm and friendly. Excellent coffee, made with care and close attention to your particular needs.
Bakery items and Yummy treats to die for, as well as a curated selection of quality cupboard staples and speciality goods to inspire your cooking. Love this place.

One of the best sourdoughs in Hackney and pretty solid croissants all made in house. A small selection of deli foods is a little mix between Brindisa, Japanese and other Asian bits a bobs. I hope they improve their deli offering with some more cheese sometime soon.

People who say that money can't buy you love haven't tried a cake from Casey's.
I'm picky about practically everything in my life. I like to think this makes me idiosyncratic rather than annoying but the jury's out. Casey's makes the best espresso in Hackney and yes, I know that's a bold claim, but I've drunk a lot of coffee & caffeine & me are old friends.
If you're so bold as to combine the coffee with a cake or cookie then you're on your way to making one of the best decisions of your life. I've eaten my way through most of the menu & there's nothing there I wouldn't sell my dog for (joke: I'd never ever sell my dog but you get the gist.) Shout out to the chocolate brownies who got me over my last heartbreak, & the granola bars, which I kid myself are somewhat healthy (they can't be, far too delicious).
Caitlin, as well as being one of the nicest people in the world, runs the joint & does most of the baking. She has the kind of chef skills that would make Gordon Ramsay promise never to swear again, but you don't have to believe my superlatives - get down there & try the goodies yourself. They also do toasted sandwiches (amazing) and occasion cakes for that special someone in your life (still waiting for Bumble to come through for me).
Do yourself a favour and pay Casey's a visit. You won't regret it.

Great coffee, even better cakes. Delicious bread and pastries and the nicest staff. Everything baked on premises I think and it shows. Love it.

The best ever bakery, with amazing goods and an awesome vibe. And the coffee is ace, too, served in recyclable paper cups. Try the cardamom twist or the brioche bun sandwich!

Dear Casey’s
I just want to say, you have amazing pastries, your croissants are so crispy and taste delicious, but I especially enjoyed your cinnamon twist, it had a slight cardamom taste, which I'm normally not a fan of, but in this instance it tasted fantastic.
Thank you so much for joining our community, wish you success!
Thank youuuuu!
H. F.
Love it, we have to stop ourselves coming every day for a pastry and coffee.

Great to see this local coffee shop, dry goods and bakery in a bigger and better location - delicious.

Beautiful Place, nice people, great coffee, quite atmosphere, long time we needed a proper coffee shop on Lower clapton and now we got a good one.

Very good bread, and fairly priced which is rare in London!

Everything I've had from Casey's has been great! It's all so tasty.
The staff are all lovely too. I usually get coffee and a toastie, but the cakes are excellent too. Really good egg brioche thing as well.
Also look out for the jalapeno jam on the shelf!

Casey's is local, friendly and produces incredibly good treats and coffees.
Always friendly and smiley.
Pop in and get the blondie, it is sooo good.

Casey's reputation can be heard from a few boroughs over. I visited for the first time and was greeted warmly and offered delicious baked goods and coffee. There is something authentic and wholesome about this place. It's the Tom Hanks of bakeries.

The quality of baked goods, toasties, and that darn egg brioche, make this such a special place. The employees are so friendly and make the perfectly petite space somewhere you wanna spend your time. I recommend it always to all my friends, and now to all of Google. Go here!

Great baguette - very much like a traditional baguette you can buy in Paris.
B. R.
I just had a toasted brioche with spinach and hollandaise sauce which was lovely. The coffee was excellent too - nice and strong. The savouries and cakes are all home-made and they have some interesting supplies too. It is well-positioned to get a take-away and wander to the Downs. Long live Casey's!

Such a lovely cafe full of kind people, great coffee, and the most delicious baked goods - a real gem.

THE BEST COFFEE SHOP/BAKERY IN EAST LONDON!!!! I love this place so much, the coffee is great, the toastie are out of this world and the staff are just a dream!! Would highly recommend :)
T. D.
Love this little neighbourhood gem! Fresh bread, cakes and bakes; eggs, dairy and produce from local farms & suppliers; and a lovely small selection of pantry & household goods. The coffee is excellent (Margate toaster Curve beans) as both filter and espresso options.

Truly the apple of Clapton’s eye. Caitlin has worked tirelessly to create a sanctuary at the end of the oft tumultuous and risky streets of Clarence Road. It may only be a micro-café, but the quality, service and charm are plentiful. Energy balls like plump and supple talisman, cakes standing proud like the pillars of Solomon’s Temple and the coffee, a delicately extracted elixir. As the world crumbles around us and roads of spiritual resolution remain forever arduous and unrelenting, let Casey’s into your life, a true bastion for hope and sanctity.

Delicious sour dough. Friendly staff.
But I do wish the Girl Who serves customers wouldn't pick up the bread with her bare hands - cutting it with no gloves, and then handling the iPad to take payment. It's not Covid safe.
Also sometimes the guy on the till doesn't wear his mask., in a shop with unwrapped food that cannot be washed this is pretty bad.

Best pain au chocolats in Hackney. Everything else on sale is also excellent
R.
Incredible coffee at a reasonable price and brilliant range of cakes and cookies. Lots of vegan and gluten free choices. Very cute little cafe with tons of character and affordable treats.

Really good barista coffee and staff is just super friendly. I would totally recommend this place!
Plus sandwiches and croissants are really good! It’s my daily coffee place for sure ;)
R.
Must go! Love care and attention baked into everything....the breakfast slice, an unbelievable pear friand...and they are sandwich artists. The team obviously love what they do. I don't live in the area but I make an effort to come regularly because it's so good.
R. P.
Such tiny shop but filled up with high quality, delicious food. Don't miss out on the home made cakes—they'll make any event extra special. Casey's is great addition to Clapton Pond. 🙇♂️
