Reviews of Chaiiwala® Walthamstow
M.
My 2nd visit. Love their Karak chai & coffee. Service was abit slow, and employee behind counter wasn't aware about everything in the menu. We were called every time a dish was ready, to pick it up from the counter, although we were dine in. In need for some customer service training. Masala chips didn't taste much of masala, as if was coated with so much ketchup. I thought they would add melted cheese on it, but it was just grated mozzarella. It wasn't melted, so really no point of adding it. Melted cheddar would have tasted better. Also chips wasn't crunchy, maybe due to costing it with too much ketchup. I would go back for karak chai and karak coffee, not sure about other items on the menu.

Pink chai and karak chai are very tasty and comforting. I tend to go here for the drinks as I’m always satisfied with the consistency in their taste. The kebab roll is basic, kebab wrapped in Shana parantha if you’ve ever tried those. Better off getting it from your local kebab shop, tastier and cheaper. However, I really enjoy their desi breakfast, which I would recommend. The halwa puri is yummy too! I enjoy spending time here socialising with friends and appreciate their customer service.

I have been to chaiiwala so many times there Tea is always the best but not this time every thing was good except the Tea.
Tea was full of carnation milk . I think They have Change the recipe.
A. I.
cosy little tea place. these are everywhere now so you should know the name. located in a hotspot with quick service and turnaround. loads of options available on the menu with food and drink aplenty. they’ve got the branding on point too. wish i just had one more local to me :)
Y. M.
Bit smaller than I imagined. But staff were really friendly and decor was refreshing. The Tea and breakfast however, 5*, Best tea I've ever tasted and masala omelette was a treat. ♥︎

Visited the Walthamstow chaiiwala branch today and I must say they have the most amazing customer service. The food was presented beautifully by anamta and my fav was the pink tea with cream and nuts. The chocolate chaii mousse was a good piece of dessert to have on the side
F. S.
Just ordered the Gajar halva cake, looks amazing. Looking forward to tucking in!
Was served by Malaika, sweet young lady, lovely positive vibe.
Place was buzzing.
A. D.
It is nice although I must say I would rate its chae better than food delicacies.
To be honest it is good but prices are a bit high for the quality they offer.Yet it is a nice cafe for tea and some nice sausage rolls here too but I am not highly impressed by typical breakfast and other food items that I have tried.Sizes and portions are smaller for the value of money.
You can easily have a very decent breakfast at other desi outlets which are far cheaper.
Tea is tasty though
L. A.
Really nice place, sometimes a slow service but nice staff. The food is nice to try for a while but doesn't have much flavour to make it feel like you're back home. Normally I would only getting the omelet rotii if I'm in a rush to work but hadn't had breakfast. However I mostly come here for the drinks. I love the chill latte with cream and both the flooda drinks.
F. F.
Absolutely loved my visit to Chaiwalla Walthamstow, very friendly and welcoming staff. The tea is the best around in my opinion and the karachi bun just brings back memories of my trip to Pakistan, tasted amazing. Will be definitely visiting again. 😃
N. Y.
Although the food was great along with their signature tea, it was a shame we had to take part of our order away with us because they forgot to make it. (The tea and lemon/chilli fries) when you spend £40+ you would expect everything to come out at the same time. Ilford branch is definitely a better experience.
A. H.
Loved the tea and food. I had the desi breakfast with masala beans and paratha. For a small place i couldn't recommend it enough. The manager was amazing, she was very polite and organised seating for me and my family at such a busy time.
F. N.
i never do these reviews but i have to say - i came in monday morning before work - customer service was impeccable. staff were really friendly and hospitable - especially the lady at the till. pleasant atmosphere and food was great. i will definitely be returning!
N. F.
Amazing... We had a long journey ahead and needed something quick and tasty. Chaiiwala did not disappoint. We were so impressed as we turned up at 10:30 at night and they were so accommodating. They even made a dish which was not on the menu and it was amazing and so tasty. The manager recommended myself to have the chicken tikka naan, and he was so right. For £3.50 it is a meal in itself. So good. Also, the staff we fantastic and place was extremely clean and modern. Next time I'm back in London, I will definitely be returning. You have another returning customer 💪👍

DAMN. This tea right here! I’m a coffee person, but seriously?! The taste of comfort 🎯👌🏾☕️ Had to even get some tea to takeaway lol. The Chaiiwala franchise was started in Leicester by 2 brothers in 2015, however this story goes way back further... 1927, on the streets of Delhi.
Chaiiwala📍 Walthstow
Food rating: 4.5
Service: 5
Venue: Cozy/ small
Recommend: Karak Chai!
Avg price for two: £15
Overall: 4.8 out of 5⭐️
Halal: All
Other: Allergy Card
What we ordered:
•Karak tea £1.85
•Falooda £3.25
•Iced karak coffee £2.50
•Bombay sandwich £2.50
•Masala chips/ Imili £2 each
•Kebab roll (Chicken) £3
•Burl puri £3
•Gulab jamun cheesecake £3
The imili chips (tamarin) were yummy - love the sauce! The kebab roll, paratha was sooo soft + the yogurt chutney was amazing! Get this! The Bombay sandwich (toastie) was very nice! I didn’t even want to share! Again good chutney sauce 😍
Lets talk about the tea now! This was soooo fresh and creamy! Indian style tea with so much lovely flavour and spice! Nothing strong, just comforting! Highly recommended!
Great value for money! Service was on point! Thank you Fiza for the dope hospitality @chaiiwala she deserves a raise! Ps, they now have Gulab Jamun cheesecake on the menu!
H.
Overall food and drinks were good value and quality was very good . Only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the paratha lets them down . Frozen from packet , like the Shaan ones you get , pretty sure it’s not in house made . Get the paratha right and it’s a 5 star from me .
S. H.
This place was super busy when we walked in. Had to wait over 5 minutes for a table. Once we found a seat it took a while for the table to be cleaned. The price of the food is ridiculously cheap, where we nearly bought all the options. The food was tasty and well worth it. I bought some more to take away for my siblings. I recommend the masala chips (obviously) and the Bombay Sandwich. Everything is so cheap you can try them all! Food to be delivered was quite slow though.
S. M.
Amazing place but quantity is what made it lose its other 2 stars. I came to this place with my friend and were quite satisfied with the 'karak chai'. Its a bit on the sweeter side but definitely a drink to go for a person who like chai tea latte in starbucks. I ordered : 1. Karak chai with butter chicken roll - amazing food but the roll should have been bigger. 2. I ordered chilli paneer with chicken tikka sandwich- it took approximately 14 mins for the food to arrive. I was quite disappointed with chilli paneer as it was neither spicy nor hot when it arrived.
Service was just fabulous and staff were very kind to recommend.
Will visit this place again for karak chai but not sure for the food. SP
S. R.
I visit this place quite often with my mates, usually on a Friday or Saturday as it stays open a little later. Their masala tea is amazing, and their desserts are mind blowing! It’s a very cosy place to just relax and socialise with friends or even others. Owners are very friendly too, and the place looks very nice. Do try try their tea at least once and I assure you that you’de go back!
F.
I have been here twice in the space of one week, breakfast is traditional Asian. Service is friendly and welcoming.
Only downside is you can park close by for up to 30 minutes... Doesn't give much time to try various other things on the menu..( no fault of chaiwala).
Will be back again soon.. Thanks Chaiwala!!
N. M.
Chaiiwala’s karak chai is perfection. I like my chaii strong, hot and not overly sweet. And at chaiiwala, I got exactly what I needed. I’d also strongly recommend their ‘desi breakfast’ which is served day long and mango falooda. I wish, I’d have a chaiiwala closer to my place!
A. A.
The Best Place to Have Tea and The Best Staff.. Highly Recommended.. Dont Wanna Miss Karachi Bun Kebab Next Time ❤️
O.
The Karak chai is the best tea I've ever had and I love tea! Milky, sweet and spicy cardamom. I'm lactose intolerant, but I break it for this tea!
The breakfast was a joy. The only thing is that the portion size of the beans could be double or triple lol!
F.
Small cute Indian place that serve all day breakfast. We wanted to try a lot of things so we got the: Desi breakfast with cinnamon karak(tea)//(star of the show), Bombay sandwich, rose falooda, chilli paneer(second best!). We also ordered masala chips but it ran out so instead we got chips with masala dips (it was ok) but I heard so much about the chips so I was disappointed that they run out. The chilli paneer was lovely! The waitress was lovely and did not rush us, however we were confused about the table service as she would deliver one plate but then you have to pick up the others yourself. What I would suggest for future reference is to either do table service or not. However, it was a lovely cosy place and would highly recommend it!!
S. R.
Great place to get your tea from :) always consistent and full of flavour. Also the food served there tastes really great, defo recommended by me
S. V.
I really liked the service of Chaiwala Walthamstow.Zeeshan gave a very good understanding of the food.So I was able to place the order very easily.
h. f.
Huge thanks to Chaiiwala for its generous donation of an urn of delicious Karak chaii to our school’s Winter Bazaar fundraiser! Danny (pictured) was one of many who loved it - perfect for a chilly Winter’s day in Walthamstow 🎁❄️☃️🙃❤️
M.
Finally a decent place to sit and have Karak chai. Chai means tea and Chaiwala means Tea boy. Place serves Indian/Pakistani themed tea and desserts. Tea and gulab jamun tasted good but slightly over priced. I would recommend it to all those who are looking to have nice strong tea with friends in the evening. Will come here again.
A. B.
Great takeaway shop... very impressive chocolate mousse! Friendly staff even when they are very busy and rushed. Would recommend 👌 👍
S. I.
Quick cafe style or pit stop food
Good food to go and Karak tea / chai is one of the best around. Sweet and not too overpowering with the spices
The dessert paratha are a treat
N. H.
Beautiful warm tea. Kartik provided top quality service with a nice smile 😃
s. b.
The food and staff were amazing. My fav is the butter chicken wrap, the samosa chat and the gulab jaman cheese cake. Gave 4 stars as the potions could be bigger in my opinion. Definetly will go back again
J. S.
I absolutely love coming to this store, the Karak chai is my favourite. Amazing customer service especially from Rianna. Very friendly staff even when it’s busy.
S. A.
Great little cafe offering Indian street food. The 'Desi' breakfast is simple yet filling and comes at just above a fiver. The Karak tea with cinnamon is very good. The prices are cheap and reasonable and the presentation is great. Paid around £16 for two people with 2 breakfasts and 2 starters and a coke. It's a small place so won't fit more than 30 people (approx) at a time and it gets very busy. Parking is bad around the area and it's probably best to come outside of the restricted times or by public transport.
S. J.
The most amazing service provided by the staff. The tea was amazing as always and the food was really good. The new menu items are the best, oh, the samosa chaat, needs a review on its own. The atmosphere was really good, felt like back home. The music was good as well. Will definitely go again.
A. Q.
Nice and Clean presentation, Batter choices with maintain Price.
M. A.
Nice wall decor. Proper Karak Chai and Pink Tea (kashmiri Tea).
Parking is an issue
Small sitting area.
K. Z.
Friendly, fast service. Seating is limited but cosy. Good selection on the menu. Standard chai tastes great but served with sugar already added. Sweet chapati/paratha a bit small but very moreish. They even have a loodo game board. Great fun whilst enjoying the hot chai.
S. M.
Small place with a lot of taste to offer 👏🏻
S.
First time at chaiiwala and definitely not the last! The food was hot and absolutely delicious!!! The staff were also really lovely.
A.
Cheap and cheerful for lunch. Vegan combination below of dhal and chips possible. Unfortunately, I find this shop quite wasteful. No metal cutlery, only black plastic (the worst because many facilities can’t recycle it) and styrofoam (worst pollutant of seas) holder hidden by the fake newspaper wrapping. NOT NECESSARY! Please improve
J. K.
Very clean and have taken necessary Covid measures. The customer service was excellent. My family enjoyed their street style food and drinks.
Will visit again.
I. “. C.
Always fresh, tasty, lovely staff, always helpful.
No idea why fake accounts such as one called nwfp have the nerve to send false information.
To be honest I wouldn't ever expect the restaurant to come collect food LOL
Should have went back straight with evidence.
Anyways keep up the good work people. You are a credit to Waltham Forest x
M. H.
Fantastic food and tea. Zeeshan - fantastic service!
Z. K.
This gem of a place to grab your tea and snacks is a brilliant place for a small stop. All food is fresh and a wide variety on the menu to choose from, Tea is lovely. The pink tea in particular is my favourite! Go on guys what you waiting for? Pop down and enjoy..
F.
Small place and tight spacing, but clean. The time we went it was busy but still managed to find space to sit and eat. A few minutes later it got really busy and crowded so I wouldnt suggest it would be a place to eat if planning to sit for a while. Staff seem to be friendly and were pretty good on timing considering it become crowded. Prices for drinks and snacks weren’t that bad. Tea and drinks aren’t served in a cup or glass but those cardboard holders.
Don’t forget to give a thumbs up for my review.
H. M.
A lovely place to eat or drink authentic Indian breakfast, really friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend.
O. R. C.
I've been to a few different branches of this chain of restaurants across London and the UK as a whole and I must say this branch serves the best Karak Chai out of them ALL!!!
N. A.
Karak chaii was excellent! Proper desi feel.
Y.
Great little cafe that serve classic chai’s and Indian style breakfasts. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are great.
A. M.
Chaiiwala tea aka Karak Chai is so damn delicious. They have mastered the art of Masala tea... I am kinda sure they use a powder 🤔🤔
Their Choc mousse cheesecake is great as well, might be a bit too chocolatey for some people.
A great mix is to get their Gulab Jaam warmed and then get ice cream and have it together (don't knock it until you try it).
I have not had anything from the breakfast or lunch menu so can't comment on that.
Would recommend this joint.
R. B.
Best Indian Pakistani street food
Y. L.
We were recommended this place from a friend a year ago and have been coming ever since. Tea is delicious, food is delicious and they are always updating their menu. Very reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed! Also excellent customer service from Yakub.
N. N.
Pro being value for money. The fries and pao bhaji are the only things that are worth going there for. Paneer was hard and tasteless. Sandwich was basic and not that tasty.
M. U.
Lovely little place with their own little asian Beyonce called anamta😂😍thank you for the birthday song.
H.
Very small, not a lot of seating here unfortunately and no parking in the area during the day.
M. Y.
Its a decent place if your looking for a snack but they just seem to keep putting the price up. I ordered some chaii to the home. The Mogo chips are my favourite. I have come to notice that the portions are not consistent.
U. A.
Use less powdered milk more fresh and I'd love it even more guys. Amazing none the less
I. D. m. i. E.
Needed a quick snack, place look good clean ,helpful friendly. Free sample of tea 👍7/10 had to wait, would go again
A. P.
Popped down for Eid, I would rate the Karak Chai 2/5 the taste was not as strong as real desi chai I have had and the pink chai cake was 1/5, it seemed and tasted like a cake just dipped into tea and became very soggy.
N. K.
Delicious food and tea.
Customer service was excellent.
W. S.
Just 2 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central station, nice cosy place, Specialist in Tea...Karak Chai is very famous, also you can have cold drinks and light snacks.
s. z.
Delicious pink tea with nuts. I love karak chaii too
A. A.
great customer service, they gave me another cheese omelette after they forgot to add cheese to the first one. best karak chai in london hands down.
n. a.
Small place but nice and traditional tea
S. A.
Happened to pass by this Cafe..they do nice traditional karak tea.
m.
amazing food and staff 10/10 would definitely come again!!!!

Amazing food and service by the brother Yaqoob!
Defo recommend for a quick asian snack!
The cinnamon karak chai is my personal favvv
A. P.
Really enjoyed our snacks and the Karak Coffee was very good. Would visit again.
A.
Good customer service and the foods were good. Loved the breakfast and masala chai. Good for desi tea lovers
T. K. Z.
Good service, covid safe seating, delicious karak chai as always
Y. C.
Glad I gave a try ! Definitely worth the money, actually, too good to be true, chicken tikka nann + proper chai around £5.5 !?
Can't wait to try others. I found their leaflet is really helpful. Therefore instead of posting food images, I uploaded some pictures took from the leftlet. If you are not familiar with Indian cuisine yet(like me), it will helps you to understand what you will get, easier to make a decision 😂
Their signature chai is my favourite so far, I tried pink chai the other days, very intense flavour, once you used to it, it can be a bit addictive as well 😋
Ps. Love the cups design, so cute!
c. s.
The food was amazing. I bought the desi breakfast with chana and daal it was really nice. Amazing, beautiful flavours and I was very full and I love my food, lol. It was filling and healthy. I felt so guilt free eating this food. The caramel chai was also nice but maybe
a little too rich for me,I'll try a original chai next time. I also love the packaging. Nice first experience eating here.
W. C.
We tried Karak chaie, i didn't expect it to be that good.
A. D.
The BEST take-away in the whole of Walthamstow (and why not around London too!). Mum and I thought we'd treat ourselves this Friday and I chose Chaiiwala on Uber Eats mainly because the name rang a bell and everything on the menu seemed pretty good... And it really was! We ordered karak and pink chai, samosa chaad, malai boti naan, chicken tikka naan, butter chicken roll and masala chips - absolutely delicious, we finished all of it in an embarrassingly short time frame! LOL Feeling so happy to know there is delicious Indian street food and chai just around the corner... Will be back for more soon! Thank you Chaiiwala team.
H. M.
My new go to place. Absolutely loved the desi breakfast and karak chai topped off with a nice gulab jaman cheesecake. Friendly staff and great servuce. Will be visiting again.

Their Karak & Chai is amazing. Plus I always buy their Keema roti, never disappoints
A. S.
Want to say a massive thank you to the team at chaiiwala walthamstow, i messed up my order on Uber eats and they were kind enough to change it for me. Very friendly and polite. high recommended
D.
The food is good but the portions have been getting smaller - the curries in the desi breakfast barely fill me up. They used to be a decent meal.
r. g.
the best customer service in london, so quick and lovely
F. S.
Always a polite and friendly service. Selection and quality of food is outstanding for the price. Favourite lunch spot.
S. I.
Excellent, lovely place. Small variety off food wich isn't overwhelming. Quality and fresh.
S. M.
Nice place for tea and a small bite. Prices quite reasonable but in all honesty nothing I can't make at home for a fifth of the price...
Z. P.
Amazing customer service and very nice atmosphere for a nice karak chai and other drinks alongside Indian Street food, highly recommend visiting with friends or family. Friendly for both!
Zaahir
A. T. M.
Love the place. I come back from Istanbul and go for my hearty Indian breaky here.
C. S.
Delicious! Well presented/ packaged. Just received the Desi breakfast a long with the pink chai! Yum yum will definitely order from you again.
v. w.
Cheap and cheerful. Service is fast and the karak tea is just too good. Like my friend said, too good to be true.
Definitely need to try the other things on the menu but the karak chai gets me every time. Showed my friends this place after a nice meal nearby and they were blown away by the flavours.
They play music, which gives off the vibe that you are in the subcontinent. Usually there is plenty of spaces to sit and have a long chat. There are also plugs to charge your phone's.
Unfortunately do not have a customer toilet but just a minor problem.
A. S.
My wife & I had breakfast here on 01.11.2018
For those that have been to the Indian sub continent and had authentic chai this will never cut it. However it will be an acceptable second best, for the modern world we live in its a nice contemporary alternative to flying East.
I find it clean, well presented with polite and kind staff. Its a wonderful place to sit and reminisce about back home and modern enough for those seeking cultural belonging.
E. S.
I visited Chaiiwala and I enjoyed my experience. However, the server had her headphone in, and kept them in while taking my order. The food took 15 minutes due to them being busy which was fine. But when the kebab roll did come, the packaging and presentation was very impressive, however, the food was entirely disappointing. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting again and certainly wouldn’t recommend ordering the kebab roll.
As an establishment I strongly recommend their servers not to have ear phones in whilst serving and cleaning around the restaurant. Good luck
S. C.
Got introduced to this brand elsewhere and was excited to find one almost on my doorstep. Warm, well lit and low level music make for a cosy atmosphere. The all day breakfast is an essential try and the Karak chaii is delicious and home brewed on site. Friendly staff and quick service make it good solo or meeting friends for brunch. Happily revisit.
K. S.
Awesome... especially the karak chai and the omelette wrap...the staff is excellent and the food is fast but very good and pretty cheap for the portions..Recommended
S. A.
Great place been a few times now, cheap chai and nice atmosphere even at late times place can get busy
P. P.
EOTHO Should have been 50% or maximum £10 per person. We had dinner for 4. Only given £10 discount.
There is no Covid 19 distancing, especially with the take out orders. Customers quieing inside store around dinners.
Over charge us £6.15 in total.
Over all the food was great...
Returned and all shorted 👍👏
s. d.
We have been having breakfast here for 2 days since coming to london. The girl behind counter is lovely and accommodating. Would reccomend this branch above the ones I've been to up north
G.
Pretty good. Tea was super hot. It's definitely adjusted to a more British pallette, less sugary than a chai from India. Also the servings are slightly larger than a traditional Indian chai drink.
m. p.
We stayed at the Travelodge across the road so chaiiwala was perfect for us.
We got there so early on Saturday morning excited to have our first desi breakfast that it was closed (opens at 9).
So we walked around Walthamstow market for about hour.
When we went back it wasn’t to busy which was perfect. The lady who was taking the orders was really friendly and she helped us out in suggesting what to eat.
We ordered the karak chai and full desi breakfast and karak chai and parathas, we waited about 5 mins when the buzzer rang for our food....what can I say “Perfect”...
My son got hungry we wanted to buy some cookies for him...The lady was so nice she gave them to him for free.
Highly recommended...
Thank you

If you're not sure what to get, then you can't go wrong with a Saffron tea!
Great speedy service and lovely tea.
N. K.
Nice contemporary take on Indian street food. Small, clean establishment with seating space for approximately 20-30 people. We were the first customers of the day so we were served promptly. However it did get busy as we were leaving. Ordered the Indian breakfast and some mogo chips. Food was great overall and was very pleased with the customer service. No public loo facilities available. Fairly priced. Parking can be an issue during weekdays and Saturdays (mostly permit holders only).
M. A. U.
Nice and clean price is good too

All time favourite desi breakfast 😄

Very tasty food, highly recommended!

Believe me when I say the customer service here is the best I have seen in any franchises. Extremely polite, compassionate, kind, enthusiastic and positive staff, and the manager Musa is one of the most inspiring people I have had the privilege of meeting. I highly suggest everybody to come down and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed ever. 10 stars!!!
e. j.
This place was ok but when ever i get chai(tea) it normally warm not has hot chai (tea) should be.and also some time they said card only or some time cash only so which doesn't make any point
Z. K.
warm and cosy vibe with amazing customer service!
M. H.
First time at Chaiiwala after a recommendation from a friend. Great service with friendly staff explaining items on the menu. I had the Karak Chaii and Gulab Jamin Cheesecake. Delicious! Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely come again.
C. F.
Amazing Karak Coffee! My first time there and I am not disapointed at all! Kebab roll is not wow, but massala chips were soo good! Because it was too crowded around 9pm, Karak chai saffron was finished, they made new ones but it was missing sugar! But otherwise, it was really good. I have took away lotus biscuit paratha and I am excited to try it tomorrow! :D
R. C.
I never thought it was possible to replicate the delightful taste of homemade Indian tea but how wrong I was, this place makes amazing masala tea and tasty street snacks in a cafe style setting. Thoroughly recommend
S. F.
The masala chai here is not authentic, hence the 3 star rating. It is still nice to drink, preferred the coffee over the tea. Although you can taste the artificial syrup nature of the drink. What really let down the experience was the food, the paratha we ordered was clearly from a frozen pack.
H. M.
I would give it 5 star but the woman at the till was passively aggressive. I was standing in the marked lines and she just raised her voice telling us to follow the guidelines!!! I was so confused.. no telling me I'm doing wrong and felt embarrassed in the shop with everyone staring at me
A. R.
Lovely food and chai

Food was ok. It wasn’t amazing. It’s a good place for a casual meeting with friends and for some light snacking. Items like roll and sandwiches are smaller in portion. Chips were good with nice garnishing and presentation. Coffee at this place is just ok however chai / tea was amazing.
H. M.
First time going to Chaiiwala Walthamstow, i only went for the tea this time round but have to say it was very nice and i will be going back to eat next time.
Main reason for this review has to be the customer service by Greta, Very friendly and welcoming especially at closing time she didnt even mind to have a chat whilst others will want to shut the shop as soon as.
A* Service by her!
S. S.
The tea here is amazing. I've had both the saffron and cinnamon tea, in my opinion the saffron is the better one. Dessert wise, I've tried the gulab jamun Sunday, and it is oh soo good, however it is really rich and sweet and might not be for people who don't have a sweet tooth.
J. K.
Lovely deshi food specially breakfast so delicious
J. D.
I love the special spicy tea here. The food is nice too and the service always excellent: friendly and cheerful. A place to go back to, definitely! See you Saturday!:-)

mmmmm best desi breakfast😋😋😋😋😋 Great customer service
thanks guys
S. R.
This was my second visit, and in a larger group, was able to sit together, thanks for the staff, who, throughout our visit, were helpful and polite. I'd like to offer a special mention to Bilal for his customer service. Will continue to visit and recommend this place to friends, colleagues, and others.
S. H. S.
I had an excellent visit to this place. It is a tiny eating place with loads of inexpensive and desi snacks and full meals. The staff's vibe is great and the decor is also cool. I can easily recommend this place.
A. M.
Great tasting street food served with some amazing refreshments but my favourite Loving the karak chai.
N. A.
Chaiwala is one of the best places I have recently visited. The prices are super reasonable. It's always clean. The staff members are very efficient. The menu is nice and small.
R. H.
This Chaiiwala has amazing staff who serve delicious food any time of the day.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this walthamstow branch 👌.
H. C.
Have had the all-day breakfast, the desi breakfast. Really lovely tasting. Better than a fry up!!! Seating is small and can get busy.
T. M.
Excellent food with even better service. The Manager Nigel also did a fantastic job of diffusing a very argumentative customer with great tact. Highly recommended and you wont be disappointed with the food.
A. A. K.
Click and collect very friendly, freshly made food, reasonable price for tasty Chai! Would recommend and visit again!
A. M. (.
The best masala chips 🍟 in this branch
S. L.
I came here last saturday with my family, there was about 7 of us and we saw it was really busy. The young girl with glasses at the till helped us move the tables and made it easier for us to fit our family in. The food was great and the chaii was awesome! We ordered quite a lot and the girl had told us it may take upto 20-25 mins as there was a rush. I'm glad she told us before rather than us just anxiously waiting in the dark. However our order came out before the time! Will definitely come back to this branch.
B. Y.
I came in with my friends for desi tea and breakfast and it was absolutely beautiful, the tea was so delicious and the customer service was very good, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to Roberto, Toheed and a girl called Amina☺️
Defo will come back again!
A. M.
Absolutely fantastic! No other words to describe this place. I’m a fan of the tea, flooda and the desi breakfast! Customer service is outstanding and the food is excellent. Great job guys. Definitely recommended.
B. M.
Wow! This place is amazing. It's small(-Ish) but so perfect. Great selection of teas, snacks and cold drinks. I've been here 4-nights in a row since discovering it! The karak chai is the best I've ever had. A must-see Walthamstow eatery.
j. a.
I am regular customer at this branch. I visited earlier today in the afternoon and I had noticed there was a new guy in the back with glasses who looked absolutely clueless and he didn't know what the orders were and what he was doing and there was customers who were in front of me waiting for their food! The dark guy at the front and there was a young girl with glasses who came in, who managed it well in the end and gave me the food I was waiting for. This branch really needs to train some of the staff members because I've seen the guy in the back a couple of times and he always looks lost.
M. K.
Very good customer service, special shout out to the young boy Yaqoub. What a lovely person looked after me and my family and made a delicious masala chips . Honestly will be coming here regularly 👍 !! Thank you Yaqoub
Also thank you miriam as I was told you made the tea and food, it was delicious and amazing. Ashamed I didn’t get to thank you inperson
L. P.
The space is a little bit small, but they serve all day breakfast. Desi breakfast comes with two roti, daal and masala omelette. And the chaii tea comes for free. We also ordered Chilli Pannear which comes served in a cone, Bombay sandwich and Butter Chicken Roll. All very tasty, served pipping hot and with very attentive staff. I definitely recommend it and I will be back for brunch during the weeekend!
A. M.
Tried most things on menu, food and tea is pretty much average, nothing special. Prices are good for the portion sizes and customer service is very good
A. S.
There is no doubt their Chai is amazing!
Have visited this place many times, customer service is okay & one should expect delays, I guess that's due to one poor guy at the counter doing few things all by himself & this can result in queues
Rest of the food & desserts are okay...Chai is really the reason why I visit them regularly :)
R. K.
Eaten here a few times. Service is always good. Usually busy. The masala chips are a favourite and the karak chai is a must for every visit. Need more of these branches around.
D. M.
Great Halwa poori, great chai. Amazing service! The paratha was a bit of a let down though.
A. N.
Delicious food especially if u craving that bit of an Indian breakfast and tea. Is quite small so can be a bit squishy at times. Nonetheless, was great.
s. f.
very small cafe, slightly cramped feel. But good food and relatively quick service. I particularly recommend going there for breakfast
H. K.
Really good tea/coffee and super friendly staff who cater for you as best they can! Highly recommend to eveyrone.
M. V.
A great place with fantastic India Street Food tastes that strongly remind me of my trip in India a few months ago. Would definitely recommend. Keep up the good work!!
F. S.
Visit the Walthamstow branch regularly.
Good food reasonably priced
Friendly staff
A big and special thank you to the following member of staff
Manager:
Nigel ( Musa )
He is truly outstanding customer service
He goes over and above the call of duty to welcome his customers and ensure they leave having experienced a pleasant visit
His customer service is on another level of its own
I've worked for many years in retail management and I have not quite come across such a wonderful management style
He also manages his staff very well
U. F.
Delicious street food, good service, small and cozy place, good value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic chai. Thanks for your service Rihanna. Will definitely visit again.
b. b.
today was like my 5th time going to this place i ordered when i got there the food came within 5 minutes and today i made my order over the phone for collection it was ready on time. to all the people that left negative comments before me if you have nothing good to say remain silent. if the place is tight go next door you can even lay down and eat there's enough space. desi Breakfast with roti and beans 10/10 👌🏼
Y. S.
Rest of food is normal but your Kadak Chay deserves 5+ stars itself. Tastes like pretty Desi chai of Indian Dhaba. 👌🏽👌🏽
U. A.
Great tasting Chaii !
B. J.
Never tried before. Lovely staff and good food. Will be more adventurous next time. Refreshing drinks.
M. S.
Great chai and best in London. Can't give 5 stars as the rest of their menu is rip off and very basic. Don't get me wrong it still tastes great.
S. J.
Good food and chai. Disappointing that they use disposable cutlery and cups for eat-in customers; it's wasteful. Be aware that there is no customer toilet.
G. I.
This place is amazing .
The staff knew the products well and service was better than some most Mayfair restaurants:
Next time my kids want to celebrate their birthday I’m coming here . Goodbye to Berkeley Square
J. B.
Amazing change to your usual cafe! Such lovely and different flavours! They shouldn't use disposable cutlery if you are eating in, that is a waste!
F. B.
Small little tea shop, service is good tea is ok. But sometimes they give you tea not even warm enough.
T. U.
Great place for a bit of desi food, great price and environment. Drinks tend to be a bit too sweet.
M. A.
Love the karak Chaii (tea) always get a large and alway grab one when I'm in stow, sometimes get two so I can warm one up later on the stove 😊
y. m.
Fantastic service always a great place to go to!!
H. M.
Best tea I have ever had in UK shop, food is great, good service, nice and cosy place. Traditional serving style put diamond crown on head
S. H.
Literally just ate here. Thought lets see what's the hype about and omg it was amazing loved the decor the customer service and mainly the food and how it was presented felt so much like back home and I really enjoyed my time and will certainly visit again.
M. P.
The place is very good and I'm hoping that they expand and make this on a bigger scale with one on every corner of London. The owner came and said hello and gave us some free biscuit which was a very kind gesture.
M. M.
Fantastic customer service, west Ealing branch, lovely lady served me and my friend
T. Z.
The gulabjaam sundae is amazing! Especially the syrup and the combination of the warm mishti with the cool creamy ice cream
M. T.
Great cup of Chai. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Management also goes put of their way to help in whichever way they can.
Y. Q.
Been here a few times. Amazing chai. Try saffron chai, it’s amazing and refreshing. The place get packed and busy. No toilets on site which is weird for a place that serves food and drinks.
G. A.
Superb tea shop. Love the Karak tea and masala chips. Major down side is that the seating is very limited for busy times.
V. L.
Quite small but cosy little place. And the food is as good as any other chaiiwala ❤️
Y. P.
Karak Chai here is worth it and very good! Customer service is fantastic. It can get crowded but it don't bother me, it has a nice modern vibe. I recommend it for late night karak chai.
B. S.
Chai 4/5 (cinnamon one is weak)
Butter chicken roll 3/5 (bit dry, not enough chicken)
Paneer 3/5
Masala fries 4/5 (quite nice but have had better)
Breakfast 3.5/5 (good but very simple/nothing special)
Potato sandwich 3.5/5 (nothing special but not bad)
Samosas (3/5)
H. k.
Very nice tea staff are great
T. A.
fantastic service by Zeeshan 👍🏼
H. P.
The Carmel chai was amazing and I would love to give this place a 5star but the masala chips was a disappointment it was literally raw potato wedges drenched in ketchup with a sprinkle of cheese and spring onion
M. K.
Excellent chai and desserts. Staff could have been more welcoming. Very stern looking.
A. S.
Decent asian tea place with a simple menu. Great for a quick bite and priced fair. Most likely will visit again
R. K.
Nice and cosy. Great tea, decent food which is very well priced. Would definitely recommend this place when you're in Walthamstow.
R. R.
Ooooohhh such a nice place.Yesterday had desi breakfast from there was very nice and tasty. Very clean good decore shop. There karak chai with saffron is priceless❤️

P.
Good service, happy jolly staff, Food worth for price, chai rocks. If visit back in that area would definitely visit again.
k. u.
Much better service than the green Street one, but otherwise sadly the variety of items is pretty small like the other branches.
N. P.
Amazing chai with amazing customer service, especially by yacoob who gave us a free chai on the house just because we had waited for 2 mins while he completed an order. Will definitely revisit !
B. A.
Wonderful service from the young handsome man Yaqoub, really looked after me and my friend. Such a respectful and down to earth human being. Really can communicate with everyone from different back grounds
Z. Z.
One of the best tea I've had in a while. Bilal and yaquob were very helpful. Great customer service. Will come back again.
U. S.
The tea was delicious and the service from Bilal on Saturday evening was great. Good job Bilal, definitely coming back again!
A. A.
It's not worth the hype. The price was OK but that breakfast is not what I expected. The chai was amazing. If anybody wants desi chai.. Go there
A. T.
Good chaii. Nice little spot.
w.
Generally speaking, the chai are consistent but at times they do tend to let you down. My personal favorite is their coffee.
T. Q.
Authentic chai and indian snacks. Can improve the menu by having more variety and bigger portions. Overall a good experience.
K. M.
Lovely tea joint. Especially the house special tea with a hint of cinnamon. Very nice after a meal with friends.
M. A.
Reasonable price; seating is limited as it’s a small place and it’s quite hard to manoeuvre around when it gets even slightly busy. Workers have always been lovely.
D. N.
It's very nice here but would be better if they do different flavour fresh parathas like muli, gobi and aloo paratha Punjabi style
I.
Just like any Chaiiwala. Really nice tea. I love the normal kadak chaii and pink chaii.
V. K.
Very nice and stuffs are polite!
O. A.
It has a nice Karachi tea and simple light tasty breakfast all day.
A.

M. S.
Very friendly staff! So nice to talk to and plus they gave me a free pink tea sample
K. H.
A bit underwhelmed. Food ok but nothing special, mogo chips swamped in sweet and sour sauce, chilli paneer struggling to find the chilli.
A.
Love Chaiwala, staff were very helpful friendly.
C. L.
Not sure why the negative reviews breakfast arrived in 10 minutes and also was top quality. The karak chai was amazing Will definitely recommend
P. H.
Street food fantastic. Recommend chilli paneer. Mogo and Masala chips. Ambience good. Relaxed atmosphere. Drop in if in yhe area.
A. M.
Nice and small place for a quick bite... And if you know what desi chai ( pakistani tea) is Please do try you will love it..
L. A.
Good tea but I thought expensive for such a small cup and they use paper cups even if you sit in.
a. s.
Used Leicester chai wala about a year ago and ever since been hooked to cinemon tea. It’s beautiful and I will be back soon.
A. K.
