Reviews of Chaplin's Coffee and Co

Went on for breakfast and had a very enjoyable eggs Benedict. The staff were warm and friendly

A decent cafe. I wasn’t particularly swayed either way. I can only base my experience of my breakfast - the pancakes were quite underwhelming as a small portion size and didn’t taste great (comparable to a pre-made pancake you might buy at the supermarket). I probably wouldn’t visit again based on that.

Fantastic breakfast and very nice Italian lady...coffee is great. Charlie lived in the apartment upstairs from 1908 to 1910...

Beloved local café for a reason - food is excellent and very reasonably priced, the décor is fun and the owners (Tony and Laura) are wonderful - so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to all

Friendly service, great brunch food, affordable pricing. I'd recommend stopping here over the weekend

Lovely friendly service, tasty food, good atmosphere and very well priced for London

The best coffee shop in Brixton Road. I'm very pleased to see that is being renovating right now. So much looking forward to have a brunch there soon when lock down and restrictions are over. I'd love to see some vegan option in the menu. It'd be great to see a Vegan Smoked Tofu Benedict, for example.

Small cafe on Brixton Road where I stopped for a relaxed brunch late morning. Not too busy but enough to keep the one woman team busy with orders, cooking and serving. Plenty of attention, a warm welcome and the food was really good cooked to order. If you're in a rush maybe it's not for you, but if you want to enjoy your time as well as your food it's a great choice. I recommend the American pancakes with bacon, scrambled egg and syrup with a decent latte. But the menu ranges from full English breakfast to toasties, cakes and light meals. Worth a visit if you're in SW9.

Good local place, decent food choices and great prices. Quality is good but not amazing, could improve by offering better quality bread for example. Friendly service and owner very nice guy.

I am a massive Chaplin o holic and went to the cafe one sunny afternoon for a hot chocolate.
What a warm and friendly atmosphere. The owners were wonderful and the decoration and little details truly made this a tasteful homage to the great man. The hot chocolate was served in a beautiful cup and saucer..no paper cups or plastic.
With the hat and cane poised on the sideboard you could almost imagine the great man would be in to pick them up and head on out into the street.
Well done to you and many thanks for all your hard work.
People forget expensive coffee shops and takeaways and visit this wonderful cafe and help remember a Londoner we can all be proud of.

Wonderful little cafe, amazing prices (less than £5 for Eggs Benedict, £4 for Nutella and Banana Pancakes), and the people who run it are a delight, especially Tony. Cheers for a great brunch!

Beautiful place, warm people and perfect food

Staff are nice and good value for money on the full English, however there pancakes are tiny, smaller than Tesco microwave pancakes. At the portion size I wouldn't pay more that £2 if you do order ask for them to make them at least the size of your hand.

This quasi Art Deco eatery has delicious pasta specials at lunchtime, along with other items and a wonderful all day breakfast menu, in addition to which the home made pastries and desserts are delicious, definitely recommend this place and for the price you really can't go wrong

Fab new cafe in my area, the staff are great fun and the food is always really tasty and especially well priced. Try the truffle duck eggs on focaccia! yum!

Lovely place - great people running it, making great food at great value. Try the homemade pasta!

Great coffee, awesome food, great prices and most importantly, fantastic service! Apple cake and almond cake went down well after full English breakfast and American pancakes 👌🏽
