Chapter coffee is a local gem - it’s a local independent which has an amazing (and rare) combination of draws: the evening programme is amazing and encompasses music nights, live performances, bingo and karaoke — but during the day the coffee is also top notch. The thing that really makes the difference is the sense of community, and the amazing staff: just to name a few, Victoria, Sarah and Pamela really go the extra mile. No wonder this place generates so many local regulars!

This is such a lovely place! They have great coffee and wonderful food - the staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. They roast the coffee beans in house, and it is very interesting to see - I highly recommend a visit!

Love this place. The food is great, the coffee is the best around and it has a lovely vibe. Only tiny downside? The coffee cups are all plastic and feel odd to drink out of, which is odd considering that their crockery and decor is lovely.

Not bad. They roast their own beans. The service was excellent. I found the taste of their coffee too sweet, almost like it had sugar in it or something (when drinking it black). It tasted off to me. But maybe it was a non-standard coffee bean? I don't know. The seating was nice, and the wifi worked fine, and didn't have any time limits on it (unlike Costa coffee) or obnoxious requirements to register to use it (again, like Costa). The restroom was reasonably clean and in working order. They allow pet dogs inside the building (not just service dogs). That may be a plus or minus for you, depending on if you like dogs or not, and/or if you have pet dander allergies. My biggest complaint is that they seat smokers literally RIGHT OUTSIDE the one and only door to the shop. So, if there is a smoker sitting out there, every time someone opens the door (which is often) you get cigarette smoke pouring into the shop. I got a headache after a while from the strong cigarette smell and had to leave. Note to Western US travelers, London has a LOT of smokers in it, and they don't have the laws the Western US states do about smokers staying away from the entrances to buildings. That effectively makes most single-room shops indoor-smoking shops before the smoke filters into the shop's interior pretty much constantly when the smokers are out there standing under the tiny awnings and smoking while it rains (while blocking the door). Your best bet to avoid that is to find places that have upstairs seating, as it will mostly be the ground floor affected.

The coffee and the staff both get 5 stars because they were great. My only reason for 4 stars is the lack of secure dedicated WiFi. The BT guest WiFi is okay, but it did drop off a few times and took me about half an hour to connect. Given, this may be an issue with my device... I think this place would benefit from their own WiFi.

I’m no ‘coffeenisto’(more of a Lidl beans, French press & Sainsbury whitener guy), but the cortado was excellent, with a good kick and impressive crema.

Fantastic coffee and free delivery to local addresses (despite lockdown, thanks!). Can recommend their Golding - rich, smooth and utterly wonderful after dinner. I bought the beans and ground myself but they offer various choices - they source & roast the coffee themselves. Highly recommended!

Although they roast their own coffee beans I am slightly disappointed. It was not terrible but there is way better coffee around, that gets served actually hot. Maybe it’s because of the plastic cups they serve it in. Food-wise same issue, luke warm and lacking some spice. But I really do have to say it is a nice team, they really care and the place itself has a good atmosphere.

Great quality coffee from a very good and unpretentious roaster. Most coffee places in London have a bit of attitude about themselves and their “high art” of coffee. Here you can get great coffee and beans and fresh ingredients (some of the best milk I have been had) without the fuss. Grateful to have it so close by also.

What an excellent find. A totally relaxed location for coffee / tea /etc and amazing nibbles or meals. Small tables pepper the outside perimeter whist relaxed tables are inside. There is also a view of the floor to ceiling coffee roasting apparatus. Nope.... it is not ultra cheap, but the price is reasonable considering the amount of time you can remain and enjoy the ambience, excelent freshly ground coffee and marverlous food.

Wow, I didn't think coffee could taste this good and I've been to all the major chains! The place is very well designed, trendy, clean and perfect for doing some work. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are really friendly. They also really care about the process of brewing coffee and import the beans themselves and have a wide range to choose from. The coffee beans are made fresh using the huge and really cool looking coffee machine.

This neighborhood coffee house has the best coffee blends I have tasted in all of London, and possibly in the world. I’ve lived in Italy for several years and picked up a taste for what goes and what doesn’t.. Chapter has a really sophisticated selection of coffee beans. They have a roasting room in the coffee house itself, and sell their roasts as well. Their menu also covers brunch and lunch. If you’re looking for a reliably cheerful atmosphere to catch up with friends and family or find a corner to tuck yourself away to read and sip on coffee, this place is a hidden gem worth checking out. Only downside is it is a café trottoir and is right on the corner of an intersection so it can get a tad bit loud if you’re sitting outside. Super alive otherwise :)

This is my go-to coffee spot in the area. The coffee is very well prepared, single origin, the interior design is really good looking and the staff is very friendly. I only wish they had a larger single origin selection for making the coffee (they have 1 origin every day).

We had our first tea in London at the Roastery - the cook had an accident this morning and the staff has been a bit overwhelmed with the situation but still everyone was quiet friendly.
