Reviews of Comptoir Cafe & Wine
R. B.
What a fantastic little café. We were here at 11:00 and although it was a small café, it wasn't tight. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a couple of tasty toasties and a coffee. The lower level has a wine cellar and private dining area. If you're after a quiet spot away from all the Starbucks, come here

Had a great time here! Great selection of wines and nibbles, the cheeses were delicious - we got the full £30 platter. Service was also very lovely.
O. F.
One of the great neighborhood joints. Great food, lovely atmosphere, quintessential Mayfair.
V. G.
Very tasty food in very cozy and nicely decorated place right in the city centre of London. Go for the salmon and leek pie and the pulled pork. Recommended for coffee as well). Relatively chip for the area it is located. Well done guys!
P. R.
Great all-day café, wine bar and wine shop in Mayfair near Bond Street Station. Big selection of wine in the lower-ground floor with 2000 bottles of wine from all over the world, including up to 100 bins of Champagne.
Had an excellent Croque Monsieur and a delicious Burford Brown Egg Benedict with Iberico ham for Brunch. Finish off with a large Chocolate brownie to share!
V.
Nice place for wine - really good choice and also serve good charcuterie and cheese board. Service is friendly but do need reminders to bring stuff.
B. H.
Nice little wine bar, very friendly staff, reasonably priced with a good selection of wines by the glass (even more by the bottle!), excellent location. Can't really ask for anything more.
J. P.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Ideal for a first date or late night snack with wine.
A.
Attended a wine tasting, and learnt some interesting ways to identify wines. Lovely team and a ham and cheese toasty which was thoroughly welcome in-between wines.
M. C.
Great spot for a quick bite and a glass of wine. Also a wine shop. Check downstairs.
I. E.
I liked their brownie. But it is not a cafe as name says. It is better venue for drinkers.
A. P.
Nice and cosy for after work drinks :) Amazing food! I got sad on hearing the unavailability of the pulley pork ban, but little was a piece of cake for the sea bream ceviche and the salmon pie to cheer me up! :)
J. G.
A cosy French wine bar in the heart of Mayfair.
Great wine selection in a friendly and sophisticated atmosphere! I ll be back soon
R. F.
Amazing cafe and wine bar in the heart of Mayfair. Really love this place.
S. C.
Excellent waffles and hot choclate! Just of oxford street. Cool atmosphere downstairs in between many fine wines.
T. F.

J. W.
Gorgeous wine. Great service. Perfect post dinner vibe.
H. C.
Was OK. Coffee was good food was average, a bit cold as you have to sit outside, also I see other guests were given blankets. I wasnt asked very rushed even when it wasn't busy. price was fair 4/5.
Y. A.
Nice Cafe it's have delicious croissant and coffee too
I. K.
Been here couple of times in the past couple of years and must say that food and quality as well as service remains on a high level. Waffles with salmon and cream was delicious. Great choice of wine.
W. L.
Very nice. Great location to get away from the crowds on Oxford St. Nice coffee
S. C.
Cosy little cafe with nice selection of food and snacks. Good coffee
j. e.
Love the wine selection but food is not matching the atmosphere or wines. However I love the cheese plate.
E. T.

S. S.
Smiles, service and very clean. I would highly recommend this bar
D. G.
Great staff and service! They had amazing customer service and well educated on wines and what to pair certain menu items with. I even tried a nice Greek white wine, which was suggested to have with my oysters next time. Thanks for the experience!
J. W. -. G.
I love this little hideaway.
J. M.
Great wine and cheese, and friendly, knowledgeable staff
L. R.
Simply ok, expensive but nicely decorated. At the moment is not an ideal location, as lorries keep passing spoiling the view, but surely it will be better once the works in bond street station are finished. I thought the coffee was fine, yet pricey and their food selection was ok, for such a small place. Perhaps a bit narrow, seats are all crumbled together and although downstairs there are a couple of tables. It doesn't feel very pleasant to have a bite in a basement. The pastries were not so great, for such a premium location, I would expect something a bit better in quality.
B. F.
Delightful place dropped in for a coffee with a colleague but would love to return and spend some time there and try out their exciting menu and try some wines out. The waitress was lovely, really attentive and friendly, we felt really welcome
D. C.
Pastries are amazing and sit by the window to watch people go by!
A. N.
Best wine and service, I have been going there since it opened and always had the best experience! The team working there is super nice. Also really good for coffee, for the morning after the wine ;-)
C. R.
Very wine oriented place, nice menu to accompany the wings list. Cosy atmosphere, reasonable prices. For stars due to over salted soup and not many options for pregnant people (me at the moment), both on non alcoholic beverages and food.
B. B.
Wonderful spot for afternoon wine and cheese with friends! Great outdoor seating on a nice, quiet street. Friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended!
K. A.
The menu is simple but the food is good. Not many seats inside but few outside that are nice in the summer. This is a popular place with the locals for takeaway. They serve a breakfast menu until 12:00 so if yo are there at 11:59 you have to wait to order lunch.
J. L.
The wine was very nice a reasonably priced. The oysters, Iberico and pork bun were exceptionally good. All of that was wrapped with pleasant, attentive but not smothering service.
A. W.
Good selection of delicious wine by the glass. Chilled out atmosphere which was just what was needed on a Saturday afternoon and just a stone's throw from Oxford Street.
N.
Lovely place, small and cosy. Food is very good and at a decent price point. Good selection of wine. My friend knocked a glass over and the staff immediately replaced it, which was a nice touch.
G. P.
Beautiful wines in a perfect location.
A. A.
I only had a cappuccino here.
Pros: The setting and WiFi feels quite comfortable and the reason this place receives 3 stars. A cosy location nooked in an iconic corner.
Cons: very bad cappuccino. It’s rare an English cappuccino is satisfactory. Overly foamed. The sprinkled chocolate on top was promising, but the taste was overloaded with foam and not much art to the craft of espresso based drink making.
Maybe the food or tea is superior.
S. P.
Great wine list. Nice selection of food Tasteful decor. You can sit outside too. Cosy place to recharge before hitting Oxford Street for more shopping 😁
M. H.
Nice wine bar with simple food near Bond St tube stop. Good list of wines by the glass. Service is solid if a bit brisk.
A. W. (.
Nice location
ok(ish) coffee
rather bad price-performance ratio regarding food.
A. F.
Calm cozy restaurant, beautiful effortless interiors.
R. D.
Really nice place , lovely staff
M. L.
One of the best lunch places around that is casual and easy on your wallet. They serve a few back-to-basics French dishes plus a brunch menu.
N. I.
Gorgeous new wine bar located off Oxford St. Wine is well priced and available to drink in or take away. Food is tapas style and also fantastic.
C. M.
You wouldn't think it possible, but each member of staff is grumpier than the next. Venue itself is on a gorgeous, quiet street which is taken advantage of with large glass windows.
D. A. T.

Really nice interior, good brunch / snack menu & great selection of wines! Friendly staff.
P. D.
Very pleasant, quiet and cool stop for an iced coffee during a very hot day. Looked to have a good menu for food for the evenings too.
A. B.
Always a great hidden gem for coffee during the day and wine in the evening. Often busy but never cramped
Z. C.
Quiet cosy wine bar downstairs, a stone's throw away from Bond Street. Great atmosphere, reasonable price.
J. M.

D. I.
More of wine than coffee place but far more elegant than anything at or close to Bond Street. Best enjoy a small table outside
S. S.

A. L.
Cosy nice place for wine and some nibbles. Great wine list. Classy decor.

Convenient location, smiling but not attentive service. We asked for two lattes: one normal and the other decaf, we got 2 decaf.
N.
Nice decor especially downstairs, cozy and private. Great wines and nibbles.
H. G.
Location is nice but the coffee was disappointing. I would recommend it for a nice wine but not as a Cafe.
L. N.
Lovely ! Food is tasty, nice staff and the size of the beer is huge!
D. B.
Location perfect andnot outrageous prices for a quality of coffee. No rush to get customers out which in such a location is v good

(Translated) The area is very nice. Good people, good service and everything very rich. We ordered bread, tea, coffee and a ceviche. The small plates are very small but very good. It is ideal for some wines and cheese. That will be for the next one.
