Reviews of Dragon Cat Café

Recommend the Spam rice burger (or sushi burger in my mind) and brown sugar bubble tea. It was a pity about the bubble tea wheel cake, it had a nice flavour but undercooked on the inside. Will come back though!
V. V.
Giving a solid 5 stars ⭐️ to this place. A nice little cafe which serves delicious Taiwanese style bubble tea and wheel cakes. The tea is delicious as well as affordable. You have a verity of flavours and sizes for the drinks and cakes. Highly recommended! Can be found inside Hammersmith Broadway 📍
A. K.
10/10 bubble tea! Great flavour, good sizes and reasonably priced. Lovely and polite staff. Most of all the food is amazing. Fries are crispy and amazingly seasoned and the chicken was better than most I can find in a restaurant. 10/10.

I really liked it and would definitely visit again, the waiting time wasn't too long and even when my order was a little longer than expected, they immediately apologised even when I didn't mention anything about it.
X. C.
My favourite bubble tea spot had my favourite pineapple tea a couple of weeks back was perfect for the hot weather. Service was quick especially considering drinks are made fresh to order and shop was busy. Will be coming back next time I am in Hammersmith. Spoke with the owner and was friendly and provided great customer service.
M. C.
I have ordered from here several times on Deliveroo. I would say the milk teas are above average, and the fruit teas are just average. The prices are also average for bubble tea. The wheelcakes are really good though! Based on this I would give 4 stars.
However, they frequently get my order wrong (giving incorrect drink or toppings) which is not easily corrected when ordering online.
K.
Introduced to me by a local W6 friend in the area and their spam, egg and cheese rice burger is one to try if you fancy a unique and dangerously delicious filling treat later on the day. Great choice of bubble teas as well to top it all off.
J. C.
For fans of Taiwanese bubble tea or wheelcakes, this is heaven on earth. Their bubble tea is brilliant. We tried the Oreo, which is really good and the matcha latte which was authentic and earthy.
The wheel cakes were all authentic, delicious and came in some amazing flavours, we tried:
Matcha
Vanilla Custard
Chocolate
Bubble Tea
Cheese and Mashed Potato
The interior was really relaxing and comfortable. We spent a whole Saturday morning here eating and drinking.
m.
Hidden gem, Great bubble tea and cat and dragon theme is cool, real star is the wheel cakes which is a must try.
Best snack to have on the go
X.
Not bad . Burger is very Nice and fresh. Matcha is very strong and little bite bitter, but very good idea to make this kind of cakes and burgers. I will try different flavor next time
J.
Great place for bubble and milk teas. Love the Caramel Rooibos flavour. The wheel cakes are great too.
L. L.
Super nice bubble tea cafe. Lovely decor and has some areas. Really good tea flavours and love that the tapioca pearls are not as sweet as places in soho. Prices are also really good. Window seats each have a usb fan, which is so thoughtful!
A. L.
Okay this place is beautiful and the bubble tea is the best I’ve ever had in London. Prices are very fair. My favourite is definitely the dragon cat milk tea :) but my friend prefers the sun moon lake milk tea - basically they all taste good and I recommend you try them out! It’s just so cute and a good place to hang around, or to study - it’s a great vibe.
My one complaint: they always get my order wrong, so I always have to talk to them, and that takes a bit of time. doesn’t seem to happen to my friends though; it might just be my luck.
T. L.
The staff are nice but my brown sugar milk tea is always really watery. Mooboo bubble tea (15 minutes walk away) is better imo
A. S.
Favourite bubble tea in the area!!
Staff is nice, food and drinks are great, the shop itself is super cute.
J. F.
A good wheel cake is supposed to have a thin but soft shell and some gooey, dense, and sweet, but not too sweet, filling. Dragon Cat mastered the proportion so their wheel cakes are not too cakey, too crispy, or too sweet. They’re perfectly balanced! In addition to classic flavors like cream and red bean, to spice things up a bit, Dragon Cat created some new flavors like bubble tea and matcha and red bean. If you’re into savory options, they also serve these cakes with tuna and sweet corn and mash and cheese fillings! The bubble tea one was creamy and full of texture, the matcha and red bean was decliciously rich but not too sweet, and the special lemon and blueberry cream one was just perfectly balanced with the right hint of sweetness, tanginess, and creaminess. Not to mention, their bubble tea is arguably the most authentic bubble tea in London—this is the kind I’d get in Taipei everyday!
G. A. L.
AMAZING wheelcakes!! I lived in Taiwan for a couple years so I’m always attracted to anything Taiwanese-related. I asked for the matcha & red bean wheelcake but the gentleman in the counter said they don’t have it, but have a new seasonal one: Pumpkin pie. So, I tried that one. And it was heaven. Just. Delicious. The picture I’m posting doesn’t make it justice but trust me, it’s superb. The filling is not to sweet, just enough to make the pumpkin taste very enjoyable. The cake-y part feels fresh, which is nice. They prepare them in the moment.
I also had a grapefruit tea, so refreshing! Can’t comment more on that because the cake took my breath and whole attention.
H. H. K.
Great! Authentic Taiwanese bubble tea...Finally...😭
I've tried many bubble tea in London, and non of them were acceptable.
However, the bubble tea here is excellent, very Taiwanese. You can taste the flavor of the tea which is very good quality and refreshing. The tapioca is chewy and well cooked. Cozy environment, friendly staff, reasonable price. Highly recommended it.
G. B.
Really amazing place to hang out. We tried 4 different bubble teas and 6 different wheel cakes just because everything was so good and we got excited. We’ll definitely be back. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!
M. M.
A lovely cafe with delicious wheel cakes and authentic milk tea. My friends and I spent great time in there and took away over 20 wheel cakes with us. Will definitely visit again. 😋
Y. P.
The best bubble tea place in London among I’ve tried so far-!! Tried their signiture dragon cat blend - really great and balanced flavour. and the bubbles (tapiocas) is just amazing, so PLEASANTLY CHEWY AND FRESH. (You know, sometimes bubbles are too chewy and make you feel like I cannot digest all of them properly) plus, they even have three different option for bubbles and can make your drink ice cold. Moreover, the staff was very helpful in choosing the flavour, polite, and the cozy place has lovely and modern decor - some bar seat has mini usb fan which is so cute :) I definetely will come again next time with my friend!
D. J.
It’s a bit confusing & slow when you walk in. There isn’t a toilet. There is only one set of comfortable seating available otherwise hard plastic ikea chairs. Overall it is bright & airy with a decent outside view. The decor is clean & modern which I like. The tea I had would have been better in a real cup as opposed to a paper cup seeing as I was sitting in. Also no local residents discount ‘I Love Hammersmith’ card accepted yet. 24/3/19
T. S.
Ordered the milk tea with tapioca, no ice, 30% sugar. It was delicious! Also tried the famous roll with camila cream which is now my favourite snack to go to when I visit! My husband tried the matcha, roll but he still prefers the vanilla one too!! Definitely recommend it! Also a good place to chill and charge my mobile!
Y. R.
Taiwanese tea house with cute deco, tasty freshly made tea and good wheel cakes. Reasonably priced. Good place to know in Hammersmith!
G.
You probably serve one of the best bubble tea in London. I never been disappointed by your product and the price is quite fair, also the shop is very clean. That’s why I give 5. However, your customer service needs improvement. I am now using my 3rd loyalty card and each time when i come in your teashop I feel like a new customer... :-/
R. G.
Lovely cafe with amazing bubble tea and fruit tea! I tried the iced kiwi green tea - with real fruit purée and the right amount of sugar level for those who care about your sugar intake. Felt detoxed. They made the matcha wheel cake fresh from the kitchen, served warm. This is a much more authentic Taiwanese tea shop than any of those in Soho or Chinatown. I do hope they have good biz but on the other side I love it being cosy and not packed.
Y. F.
Katsu chicken burger is so good! I also enjoyed their wheelcakes and dragon cat bubble tea.
V. g.
it was the first time we tried it and we were not disappointed, the wheel cake was a surprise and we both loved it!
M. H.
Flavoursome teas and wheelcakes! Freshly made which makes it tastes so much better, and affordable so it's easy on the pocket. Really lovely atmosphere and comfortable seating. Their signature tea is one of the best.
E. K.
Only recently discovered this little place and it's already one of my favourite places in London, the staff are always super sweet, take extra care to make sure the customers will enjoy what they are getting, not to mention the drinks and cakes are always super tasty!
M. R.
Best bubble tea in all of London. All the flavours that I have tried so far were very good. I really liked the caramel rooibos, the soy milk option is only 25p,which is fairly reasonable. I am definitely coming back to try more flavours. The allergens are marked very clearly too.
R. A.
I have been here a few times, excellent drinks, great service and they also have a loyalty stamp card, which is really handy! My favourite is matcha and honey dew to order here. Oh and if you are bubble tea virgin don't worry they will explain how to order very patiently to you. They also have USB ports in the seating area...
Y. Z.
Was great good & bubble tea.
J. S.
Lovely space, friendly service and delicious bubble tea and wheelchakes. The house special bubble milk tea was fantastic!
M. M. (.
Super clean and cosy shop! Tried it out today, git myself taro tea with some of the wheel cakes! Super delicious! Will definitely be coming back again
And the two girls who were serving were super lovely and sweet!
I definitely recommend! ❤️
M. G.
Amazing, refreshing teas...can't believe the amount of different flavours available! Perfect to wash down their delicious wheel cakes too. Never had it before, addicted already!
S. M.
Love this place great variety and interesting options including vegan friendly teas. (Cloudy Genmai is my favourite). Friendly staff and chilled out atmosphere great place to visit close to the apollo for a pre gig tea ;) Nice work!
A. C. i. L.
Very nice bubble tea, and you can do click and collect to minimise time spent inside the shop (they have the QR code and menu posted on the window, so you can also order from outside when you reach the shop).
I like the fact that you can fully customise your sugar and ice level, and they also do a lot of the Asian flavours (taro, salted cream topping - similar to that found in cheese tea, etc). Boba have the perfect chewy texture. I moved back to London a year ago after years in Asia, and have really missed my bubble tea, so finding a high quality tea shop here is a welcome discovery!
I'd just recommend you try and avoid arriving just after schools let out for the day (as I did) as there was a huge crowd of teenage girls standing inside, chatting and blocking the doorway, so i couldn't get in and collect my drink for about 10 minutes! Not the shop's fault of course, but very annoying when you know your drink is ready and waiting for you, and you're eager to get your hands on your boba!
K. T.
Fantastic bubble tea place in Hammersmith. Great flavours and everything is made fresh! Tasty freshly made wheel cakes too!
S. R.
Best quality bubble tea in London. Their fresh fruit teas are incredible and they use fresh fruit juice instead of just syrup, like at some places. Seriously love this place and would recommend to everyone.
P. N.
Best bubble tea cafe in west London! Forget the big names, Dragon Cat Café make high quality bubble tea and have a really relaxing place to match. I've tried quite a lot of their menu but always return to their signature Dragon Cat Milk Tea. It's my staple drink! Also they sell really tasty wheel cakes which is unique to them. Their chicken katsu buns are really good too - definitely would recommend a meal deal!
K.
Great selection of teas! Loved the fact you can tell exactly how much sugar you need 👌🏻
A. L.
My favourite bubble tea place in London. They have their own tea blend called Dragon cat tea, it is really good (my favourite). The dragon cat tea and sun moon lake are tea which grow in Taiwan. The cafe has a nice atmosphere a true hidden gem in Hammersmith and I must try for bubble tea lovers.
B. H.
Ordered the red bean and vanilla custard wheel cakes along with the classic bubble tea. They suggested I wait for a fresh batch of wheel cakes that were being prepared. I took their advice and was not disappointed! The 25% sweet tea was also the perfect sweetness for me. A great addition to the neighbourhood!
A. J. R.
this is hands down the best bubble tea place in London! I love the modern and minimalist style decoration, you can see they dedicated their heart to this place. I ordered Jasmine Green Milk tea with 50% sugar, pudding and large tapioca pearls. It's a surprisingly reasonable price for central London, it's almost like a hidden gem. Beyond excellent, I definitely recommend, and will definitely come back for more 😍😋🐱
B. S.
All of the staff are so friendly and the cafe is always decorated. My favourite bubble tea cafe by far. I always look forward to going back!
T. P.
Popped in and grabbed some basil chicken & a katsu chicken rice burger - really good and made in moments! Will definitely go again if I'm in the area.
F. E.
This was the best Bubble Tea I have had in London which was surprising as the prices were so reasonable compared to other places I have been. Fresh tea is used which makes all the difference. Wheel Cakes were amazing too...first time having one of those and I’m obsessed. Only regret is not getting a large drink! Highly recommend.
R. F.
A really great shop! I daresay one of the best bubble teas I've had in a great while, the staff were really helpful the first time I went. I ended up getting earl grey milk tea (10/10) and tapioca, the tea was fresh, which I greatly appreciate.
m. L.
Bubble milk tea, price is cheap and seats are comfortable. The cafe is tuck away from the main Street (on the outside of the complex) so it could be difficult to find.
J.
Their tea blends and bubble tea packs are the best I’ve had in the UK. Customer service was excellent, fast to respond and resolve when there was a small issue with a product being out of stock. Definitely would recommend!
T. Z.
The best wheelcakes you'll find in London. Try the pumpkin pie one while it's in season. They make the filling fresh and it's amazing. They also probably have the best bubble tea in London and give T4 a run for their money with 3 types of tapioca (big, small, honey). If you like authenticity, you will not be disappointed. Just wish they had one in East London as well!
A. Z.
I adore this cafe, the teas are so good and perfectly brewed, they let you choose how sweet and how hot your tea is and they have loads of different varieties including with milk foam on top or flavoured toppings like cheesecake. They also do fruit teas. I love their freshly made wheel cakes
K.
I have tried so many bubble tea places in London and this is by far the best. Such a cute location and the bubble tea is worth any amount of distance you might need to travel. I would 110% recommend the lemon tea. It has slices of lemon in it with freshly brewed tea and is one of the only things I will spend my limited coin on.
J. S.
Bubble tea flavours are really good and not overpowered by syrups or washed out by milk. Tapioca is tasty and texture chewy. Good to finally have a decent bubble tea place to get my fix! No need to trek to central!
M. A.
The wheelcake is okay not great - very sweet smelling and tasting with dry bread. Matcha is the worst. However, the bubble tea is the best I ever had! Real fruit juices blended in front of you coupled with great customer service and ambience.
A. P.
Love this bubble tea cafe! They stock authentic high quality teas from Taiwan and other regions, and their pearls are always fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is serene and quiet and they have usb charge points for your phone. Definitely recommend for a alternative to a coffee place when in the Broadway Centre.
S. P.
I'm so grateful that there is a bubble tea place near me so I can get my daily/weekly/fortnightly fix (whose counting?). The tea is freshly brewed, the pearls are a great texture of soft and chewy goodness. You can also get it ordered on Deliveroo too. Fantastic!
K. M.
Amazing tea, no sugar is actually no sugar. The tea tasted amazing as well as tapioca. Will come again
l. g.
me and my friend enjoy bubble tea and wheelcakes very often after school which i thoroughly enjoy and recommend. my favourite place to go, hidden gem!
d. b.
Honestly the best bubble tea I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had my fair share!! It’s in a small slightly hidden area so it’s not getting all the credit it rightfully deserves but all the drinks are amazing!!!! My new addiction ❤️
葉.
Tea is made fresh in front of me, very friendly staff and love the wheel cakes! Especially they do the bubble tea wheel cake as well! I’m Taiwanese and I have to say their tea is super. The best bubble tea in London! <3
a. h.
If I could give this cafe 100 gold stars I would!
Hands down the most fresh and delicious milk and fruit teas in the business ( I travelled 90 minutes in the stifling hot heat to get to this cafe and it was so worth it).
One important note is that this is a local independent business, not a chain but a small independent business which deserves the support from locals and further afield customers.
Don't hesitate to come here as the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their items and will recommend which level of sweetness will go with what teas you'll be getting which is refreshing to see that they have carefully tested out their drinks so the customers can truly get the best taste.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to bubble teas but I know quality when I taste it and Dragon Cat cafe doesn't use syrup to sweeten their drinks, no, no, no, they use real, REAL fruit! unlike many places elsewhere.
Everything in the café has been thought over so well and precisley to provide the customers the best quality food and drinks as well as service here.
Now down to my order..... I had the combo deal which was £8.99,at such an affordable price you can't beat you are getting fresh, delicious quality food and drink. For those interested, the deal consisted of a wheel cake, a drink and a rice burger which btw you can not get anywhere else in London, so do hit this place up asap because you will not regret it!!!!
Can't express how impress I am and I'm a very fussy customer, take it from me and treat yourself to their goodies.
J. R.
Really great bubble tea, their tapioca is delicious and customisation options are great. A little overpriced so not 5 stars but really great tea.
M. K.
Delicious Taiwanese bubble tea and wheel cakes! I came 20min before opening on a cold day with my baby and they let me wait inside while they set up shop.
The matcha filling is very strong flavoured, so perhaps only for you if you REALLY like matcha. Could perhaps consider adding slightly less matcha to the filling cream.
И. М.
Got a pineapple tea, and shocker, it tastes of actual pineapple. And the atmosphere and decorations, are lovely
G. C.
It’s hands down one of the best in London!! The tea is freshly brewed unlike many other joints, for example, in Chinatown. The warm, homely, minimalistic deco is simply the cherry on top. One could tell the owners poured their hearts into it and it shows❤️. Congratulations! The only dilemma I have is to hold myself from going more than once a day 😬.
E.
Hidden gem in London. I hope nobody discovers it. This is my favourite place for bubble tea. I especially like the Taro. They also put a lot of tapioca balls when requested.
B. V.
Best for food and bubble tea. Basil chicken is 1010
W. Z.
A lovely cafe with delicious wheel cakes and authentic milk tea. My friends and I spent great time in there and took away over 20 wheel cakes with us. Will definitely visit again. 😋
N. R.
Best wheelcakes and bubble boba tea in Hammersmith! Staff is always friendly and everything is delicious! ^_^
C. J.
Great place to relax and enjoy bubble tea. Competitively priced, everything brewed fresh, none of the syrupy stuff, proper tea. Staff are friendly and the place is very airy despite being in a tight spot outside Hammersmith Broadway. Recommended!
I.
A friend recommended this place to me about 2 months ago and I've been obsessed ever since. Great milk tea and I really like their seasonal menu!
M. B.
I love this place the staff are very friendly and efficient, avoid the other bubble tea place this one is far better
K. C.
I like the mash and cheese wheelcake. Was a bit disappointed with the matcha one with the paste. But the dragon milk tea is really nice. Price is reasonable/ cheap as well-£2 per wheelcake, less than £3 for milk tea
J. I.
Great drinks and cakes, amazing quality bubble tea with a massive range of choices. I come at least twice a week, one of my fave local places.
I.
Cute bubble tea cafe in the hammersmith station. Nice staff and yummy drinks and wheel cake! Will be back!
M. S.
I am yet to find a place that can match the quality and flavour of the Dragon Cat. I wasn't even a fan of bubble tea before i met them. Now i am addict. :)
B. 1.
Best bubble tea ever (but that’s not hard) it smells nice and looks pretty their logo is stunning. It’s very expensive however and the cups are very plastic which is sad for the environment.
S. _. (.
Workers are always nice and the Boba is excellent.Would definitely reccomended .They also use paper cups and straws which help with less plastic pollution and sell reusable metal straws big enough for boba.
T.
Lovely little bubble tea cafe conveniently located by Hammersmith. Has a good seating areas with tables and charging USB ports. Great alternative to coffee shops as a study location.
J.
Best bubble tea in London!
A. R.
So far I have tried fresh pineapple tea and I wasn't disappointed. I kind of want to try every single drink (food too) on a menu, sounds delicious. Definitely going back soon. 😍
T. D.
This is a gem of Hammersmith. When the bridge opened from Barnes we walked across and came across this place, and keep going back! Great products guys!
R. B.
The wheel cakes are little beauties. Mash and cheese is the best. As for bubble tea, I recommend pink Salt Jasmine, 50% sugar, with a lychee toping
n. n.
Super sweet staff, lovely atmosphere and such a positive vibe. Also great interior and the tea was amazing!!
D. Y.
I come here often for the hot tea, they have a massive range of teas so no doubt you will find something you like! Small but very relaxing place to sit down!
S. P.
My little charge like the chocolate filled wheel cakes from here. They are warm and gooey.
N. B. A.
Cute, local bubble tea café with good prices (for London!), with USB Chargers for phones and little Totoro figures hidden all over the place :)
The wheel cakes are also a must try :)
J. F.
Since we discovered this place, we will definitely go back whenever me and my friends are free. The signature Dragon Cat milk tea is the best! Awooo
D. T.
Lovely refreshing tea with a chewy treat. Also delicious crispy little pancake shells really well filled with a selection fillings.
Recommended.

Just the best bubble tea place in London. The only bubble tea place I go to anymore as it truly beats all the other chains in London. Everything about this place is welcoming
M. H.
they're the only place I've found that does CREME BRULLEEEEE BUBBLE TEA
F. W.
Great place if you want good bubble tea outside for a reasonable price. Only downside are the foods, which aren't that great but the bubble tea is 👌
C. C.
This is a neat and cozy little place where you can enjoy Taiwanese bubble tea and their special 'bubble tea' flavoured wheel cake which you can't find it elsewhere.
b. l.

They even do seasonal teas and I make sure to try them out before they disappear off of the menus. So far.. no regrets!
They've also added rice burgers and wow oh wow.
If you're in the area or within range for delivery I suggest showing yourself some love and ordering yourself a combo of their teas, hot food and wheelcakes!

(Translated) The first time I went, the overall dining environment was good, but unfortunately there was no bathroom. I ordered salty crispy chicken, wheel cake and earl grey milk tea. The filling of the wheel cake was not very cooked. When I got it, it was already cold. The outer skin was a bit too soft, not the taste in my memory... The salty crispy chicken is not bad, the taste is quite heavy , but the portion is a bit small. The tea is average, nothing particularly impressive.

(Translated) If you are passing through London and more particularly in the Hammersmith district, do not hesitate to stop by this bubble tea with a cozy atmosphere. Around a fruit tea and traditional Taiwanese wheel cakes, the chocolate one is delicious, take a break from the effervescence of the city-world. The large glazed facade brings welcome natural light to this space with a minimalist and warm design. The menu offers a wide choice of flavors, however I advise you to let yourself be guided by the welcoming and attentive staff. Enjoy your drink!

Enjoy your drink !
