Reviews of Flat White
J. W.
I love this place. Sat busy lunch time they coped with a danced out tired old me; even when they seemed to be short one member of staff. And the Monday morning it was so cosy to sit at the back under the gaping hole in the ceiling..the service food and music made up for any short comings. I will be back again and again!
Á. A.
We were impressed with the coffee and the service! From now, this will be my place to go for coffee in the area, either eat in it take away.
We went two times and one of them had breakfast too, it was good but you have just a few options available on weekdays
D. “.
I had a great coffee and Avocado on toast here yesterday. The food was nice and fresh and the coffee was very tasty.
O. O.
Excellent coffee. Lovely & friendly staff, Loved the atmosphere there.
P. F.
Best flat white in London! Nice location and friendly service. Definitely comming again when in London.
S. A.
Simple place. Solid coffee. Nothing else need to be said. Grab an outside seat and watch the eclectic mix of people walk by.
S. A.
Worth to try it, love the coffee, lemon cake and the raspberry brownies
S. M.
Nice independent coffee spot that turns into a bar at night. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice little touches like scented candles and natural wine by the glass. Cosy and comfortable.
M. J.
No seating inside and seating outside is very limited, so best go for a takeaway. The staff were very nice and prices about what you expect for central London. But the coffee didn't stand out too much unfortunately. Wouldn't say no to coming back but wouldn't go out of my way either
L. C.
if I could give it 6* I would. excellent long black, bread and jam, morning roll, ambience, service. i visited mid week soon after opening, and opted for a light breakfast. by the time I left around 9:30am, neighboring tables were enjoying mouthwatering eggy breakfast dishes...will have to come back to try those too!

First the good, this place surely has some high quality coffee. Also one of the resellers of Dark Arts coffee beans, which is fantastic. However, it has happened more than once that my oat flat white has been served as a dull homogenous mix instead of made in the traditional way. There are about 20 seats, and is often crowded
L.
An absolute MUST for any coffee lover! An amazing place with friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Oat milk cortardo is 👌🏼The food & cakes are beautiful. Also Vegan and Vegetarian friendly and prices are reasonable. Bang in the middle of Soho, it will certainly NOT disappoint, so if you fancy a bite and a superb tasting coffee this is the place to go!
K. C.
I am a coffee person so I visit some famous cafes whenever I travel abroad. I tried flat white several times at other cafes in London but most of them are quite disappointing.
But here's flat white is quite impeccable. The taste is acidic enough and the milk is amazingly proper for flat white.
B. N.
Delicious! I ordered the bacon sandwich and a latte. I highly recommend it. Buttery, toasted bread with warm bacon and black pepper flakes. Very tasty. The employees were very friendly even though they were busy. Would recommend visiting at off times due to the crowds.
M. T.
Amazing coffee! Give it a try :)) lovely interior! The cafe provides oat milk instead of regular one free of charge 👏🏼👌🏼
G. W.
We stumbled across Flat White by chance... The cocktails were Am-aze-ing. Dennis was a genius mixologist... Laura was a wonderful host...lovely cosy atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. #Thefiggyone #homealone #chatsaboutfilms. Highly recommend.
J.
Good selection of pastries and coffee. I really enjoyed my carrot cake, it was flavourful and sweet. But my iced flat-white was a bit blend, maybe because of the ice melted. There is no wifi which is acceptable considering the store size, therefore might not be the best spot for laptop users. Staffs was lovely and helpful so I might give them another go to try their hot coffee.
I. M.
Highly recommend!
For my money the best tasting coffee in all of London. Obvious but worth stating - the flat whites are amazing. Also recommend Dusty Knuckle croissant chaser. These may also fall into best in London category..
To top it all the joint is situated in the heart of Soho. Sure the vibe ain't quite what it used to be but as a starting point for a foray into what remains this is the place, and this is the coffee.
R. L.
Their flat white has unusual taste. It contains sour taste of fruits including balanced bitterness and savory flavor. It may refresh your mouth with uncommon aroma. Loved it anyway. But if you are not familiar with coffee with sour taste, I don't really recommend this palce. Highly recommend to coffee lovers.
B. W.
Great Coffee (they offer almond milk) and breakfast! We had poached egg on bread with the best avocado smash, breakfast burger (scrambled eggs, caramalized onions etc) and a delicious brownie! Staff is really nice and location small and cozy!
N. Z.
It’s an amazing place to have a coffee during the day as they are so lovely caring for you. In the moment it’s a bar in the night as well. You feel like being far in the south on holidays sitting in a pedestrian area and enjoying an amazing atmosphere. Try their great spanish lager and the espresso martini and be sure to be catered for in the best way, as they are so attentive that you will not want to leave...
J. F.
Good, speedy service. Fine flat white, banana bread, sparkling water. Social distancing at the point of ordering barely achieved. Outside seating OK, but crowded.
T. W.
Wonderful people , delicious banana bread especially if toasted and slathered with butter :) Loved the latte!

I'm normally not much of coffee drinker as it always gives me a heart burn afterwards. SO with friends i went into this really nice coffee shop on Sunday (CNY), they greeted you with a welcoming smile and they were friendly, i had a cappuccino and it was the best i have ever had, the coffee was amazing and the best part was i didn't get a heart burn after i drank it.
I would highly recommend anyone to pop in chill, relax, drink or eat.
Thank you to all the staff
K.
Have always loved Flat White...hands down the best coffee spot in Soho for me. I’ve been coming here for years b/c their coffee is always spot-on and consistent (Antipodeans just know how to do coffee!). Plus the staff are always really pleasant. I can never pass it by whenever I’m in Soho and yesterday I wanted to support after the lockdown rules eased. As usual, I wasn’t disappointed ... the staff were super lovely, coffee was amazing and there was a real buzz in soho which made the experience all the better. Hope this place continues to stay in London for a long time!
A. S.
Loved this place,
Georgia was so helpful and happy!
Will come back for my morning coffee.
Highly recommend.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great coffee! As a Kiwi I approved it! And the word of the day made my day too! Just the right time to cheer me up!
M. R.
Coffee was really something else, loved it. Very minimal decor but good atmosphere, and the snacks and cakes (although a bit pricy) were delicious. Haven't tried the food yet but looked very good coming out of kitchen
I. S.
Great coffee and sweets to byte. Best coffee sticker is absolutely deserved. Very friendly and fast guys.
D. C.
Good chill out spot to pass time with friends. The coffee is not quite to my taste but the atmosphere makes up for it.
L. q.
Recommend to anyone: flat white coffee rich flavour with nuts aromas, appropriate acidity, smoothie texture. (Personal thought)
M.
One of the oldest and greatest speciality coffee shops in London. I can see why. 'nuff said!
S. W.
Great coffee. Lovely chewy and tasty anzac biscuit. Happy!
A. C.
Great coffee and location/ambience! Gets 4 stars just because its limited space and its a bit pricey.
F. A.
Small cafe, flat white with oat milk didn’t taste much coffee, normal flat white tasted more coffee, but still found it more a latte.
O. S.
Had a short black (espresso) and can’t follow the amazing ratings. The coffee was super overextracted, resulting in heavy bitterness, i think the water was too hot.
K. h.
Sitting area outside..busy place...with great coffee ...good and fast service...it is the best
A. M.
I have a knack for finding all the Aussie coffee shops no matter where I am. This little shop was super cute & had great coffee. It’s funny because one of the barista’s was the guitar player for one of my favorite bands and so when I told him he was super nice and even came talk to us when the crowd died down. Made it a great experience!
t. k.
Great coffee and tea for good prices and a lovey spot.
E. B.
Probably the best coffee beans supplier! Their beans are always amazing and their staff is super helpful in advising you what beans to pick based on your criteria. Love Monmouth so much!
A. B.
Superb Coffee, shame the tables were dirty and sticky.
R. B.
Fun place. Old city feel. Good coffee and toastie.
H. D.
Love this little place. They do an amazing flat white and quite tasty sandwiches as well as decent cakes and pastries. Most of all, its a lovely, quaint and relaxed environment and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Its a good place for a coffee lover. If you are vegetarian it's good for you too. The prices are quite nice as well.
D. L.
Good coffee and a selection of cakes. Nice little spot in Soho.
M. A.
Good coffee, friendly staff, but they do not have enough seats!! Good sweet option
J. L.
Really lovely coffee shop! Had an amazing iced latte and the white chocolate and almond banana bread was to die for. The barista was super friendly too. Would highly recommend 😊
N. W.
Lovely coffee. Great cake. Chilled venue in a happening area. Great stop for a coffee and chill inside.
J. w.
The best coffee in town and amazing breakfast buns
A. O.
A cute hipster café, with a laid-back causal crew. Nice food options and pretty good Earl Grey.
L. C. L.
I've heard many time of flat white and I love the coffee clean and pure. I normally have hazelnut latte but today I've ordered the latte which is spectacular 😍 only downside the place is quiet small but I'll still recommended this place to my friend. I'll missed the coffee when I leave the shop
T. B.
Super friendly staff. Our tea (delicious) was a bit late so we got a free banana bread! Don't miss the cheesy melts. Very filling and good bread :)
M.
Excellent coffee and food. Great service with a smile, and nice beats to chill to.
b. k.
An absolute gem, and must-visit coffee shop in London for any enthusiast. Coffee served is from black arts coffee, all single origins. It's on the pricier side at 3£ for flat white, but incredible value compared to other specialty coffee shops.
Texture of the milk based drinks is about as good as I have ever had. The batch brew seemed a touch underextracted for my taste, but it highlighted the flavour of darker roasted coffee incredibly well (black arts coffee is the main roaster).
Hat tip for the loveliest staff ever! Im definitely stopping whenever I'm around.
M. S.
We waited for about 20 minutes for a simple coffee. Different waiters keep coming over and asking if we had ordered, but the more “glamorous”-looking people are the ones getting their drinks as soon as they walk through the door. Ridiculous. Coffee is nothing special. Don’t order an iced one- they don’t know how to make them. The egg custard tarts were really nice though, and the waiters seemed quite apologetic about our wait towards the end.
g. d.
I came for a coffee and I stayed for hours enjoying the new terrace they have set up ! I have been welcome with a huge smile and the service was amazing ! I recommend strongly to come here !
Y. L.
Excellent coffee
C. L. W.
The coffee is great and my personal favorite is the scrambled egg
S. G.
I had an amazing time, the coffee based cocktails were fantastic, I can't wait to get another cortado! 💕
T. T.
AWESOME COFFEE!
The line above should be enough for you but if you need more motivation to go here: the service is impeccable.
The staff are brilliant and you’re exposed to all of the beauties that central London has to offer.
I will admit that I was one day without this cafe’s coffee - that was the worst day ever.
R. B. -. E. k.
Popped out to meet someone for a quick meeting and a chat in flat white.
This is a really good coffee shop if you love your coffee!
Nice ambience and very pleasant atmosphere to have a chat.
Working in Soho all these years and missed this one.
Going to be a more regular "coffee stop" for me and highly recommended.
H. Z.
Great coffee and great atmosphere. Staff was very friendly.
H. L.
Responsible for my initial foray into the world of flat whites, Flat White is a great venue for people serious about coffee. It's not large, so do expect a little trouble finding a seat if you go at a busy time, but it's worth the wait.
The coffee itself is excellent, and their signature flat white is particularly fine (as you'd hope!).
Queues can also get quite heavy at peak times, so if you can avoid these it's probably worthwhile. Then again, their popularity just goes to show the quality of their coffee!
Tasty cakes etc. are also available.
E. K. A.
Nice ambiance, good flat white. Good if you are flat white addict. Don't forget to ask for your latte art;)
Their coffee is roasted by a Sweden company. They also have good croissant and their cakes seem fine! The place is a little bit small though, if only it could have a bigger place. Overall, if you are close to Piccadilly Circus or Soho and need a coffee to refresh you, don't miss. We decide to go there from Westminster bridge though!:)
D. L.
Lovely little spot on Berwick Street with super friendly staff. Great to work from alone or meet up with someone else for a coffee. Prices are on the slightly higher side (e.g. around £3.20 for a flat white) and space is a bit tight, but all in all it has a lovely ambiance and makes for a great coffee experience!
J. R.
Friendly staff, good selection of things to eat or nibble on. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Really good quality coffee but not as excellent as the price imply. Bathrooms downstairs, no lichk on gent's stall.
A. K.
Amazing coffee.
And amazing atmosphere too: smell of coffee, hipsters, sarcastic beards, not so sarcastic beards, tattoos, eyeglass frames without glasses, bohemian style, bikers, the biker hat, dudes on macs, soy chai latte... This place has everything.
Oh, they also have coffee and it's really good.
L. T.
Best coffee house in soho hands down!!
R. M.
Amazing coffee and great cakes 🎂 always perfectly welcomed. Now serving wine on the terrasse as well in the evening due to covid 🍄 🍄 🍄
r. s.
Great flat white at flat white. A good wholesome coffee
M. B. H.
Very good coffee and cozy place
T. F. F.
Loved having quart black on the menu, however it was very acidic I couldn’t finish it!
D. A.
They do an amazing flat white and quite tasty sandwiches as well as decent cakes and pastries. Most of all, its a lovely, quaint and relaxed environment and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
R. J.
I Love Flat White coffee. It's not just tasty but it looks beautiful too. As soon I walked in I felt the welcoming atmosphere - It was clean and tidy, the waiter was friendly and chatty. I really enjoyed my stay.
N. H.
This IS the best flat white and the cheese/ham toasted croissant is perfection. The team are a credit to the company.
N. P.
I'm not a huge coffee drinker, being more of a tea man, myself. However, when I do get coffee, I like a little bit of funky atmosphere, a high quality coffee-based beverage, and something decent to eat to prevent a case of the jitters. This place delivers on all three counts. The food, while not fancy, is all fairly simple yet well prepared. They're often out of my wife's favorite item--hummus and avocado on toasted granary--but we're always happy with whatever food items we get.
We've been half a dozen times or more on trips to London from up north. It can get a bit busy by mid-morning, but we've usually found a seat if we mill around for a few minutes. The staff isn't overly friendly, but they do all other aspects of their jobs well. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a good coffee spot in Soho.
D. C.
I turned up to this fantastic coffee shop before opening time, they were still happy to serve me a macchiato. Lovely staff, I had a great conversation with the Aussie barista about current affairs. It's staying power is a testament to the quality of the people and it's beverage.
M.
If you're an Aussie looking for a decent coffee in London look no further - in fact after you've had a coffee here you'll never buy anywhere else in London. As the name suggests they do a killer Flat White - a real flat white - Aussie style. Hallelujah!
It can get very busy and it's not real big so you may not get the chance to sit down but don't be deterred and be sure to grab a takeaway.
A. P.
Excellent coffee - great for those Aussies who miss good coffee from back home! Staff are nice, friendly and fun to watch when they work! Went back three times one day because it was so good! 5 stars!
R. M.
Definitely the best flat white I’ve ever had - super smooth and delicious.
h. a.
Decent place to have coffee with beautiful vibes.
M. J.
Friendly and efficient service. Good coffee.
l. t.
You can always rely on Flat White for a good coffee, i'm not sure it lives up to the hype, but I do always gravitate towards it. It's quite small inside but you can normally find a seat. They do nice brunches too and the staff are always nice. It has just had a mini repaint so it is looking loved again. Though *huge* bugbear, they don't accept card and I am always caught out. Always.
E. H.
Flat White is one of the better places in London to drink your morning coffe. Prices are pretty fair for the quality you receive. Their coffee is always strong and freshly brewed and the make some pretty good sandwiches. Although I wouldn't really give 6-7 pounds for a sandwich every morning this place is a nice for occasional visits. The staff are all very frinedly and kind people and always welcome you with a smile.
E. B.
Excellent coffee 👌 with a crispy melt-in-your mouth croissant 🥐 🤤
K. W.
I went there with friends to enjoy some coffee together. We all ordered flat whites, and I liked the taste of the coffee a lot - not over roasted like the big chain cafés.
The café is quite nicely furnished and I did enjoy the time spent there.
C. A.
One of my favourite cafes in London. Flat White has a really warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and very polite. Additionally they make the best sandwiches and waffles on town.
E. G.
Stad very friendly, love Mark! Coffee amazing, homemade delicious sandwiches are the bomb!
Definitely the highlight of our visit in London
M. C.
A lot of love for this place. I've been going since they opened years ago and still come back even though the good coffee options have multiplied nearby! Simple layout, great coffee and food.
J. A.
Coffee from heaven, small and hip place in soho, very simple but straight to the point. Super friendly staff, delicious gluten free brownies with a hint of coarse sea salt. If you happen to be in the area you gotta visit this place, otherwise just plan a trip there :D
B. G.
Small coffee shop in the middle of Soho, very reasonably priced and great service. The baristas are really friendly and the food is pretty tasty too if you're feeling like a pick-me-up or just looking for a cup of decent coffee. It's a bit cramped but its still perfectly accessible.
J. K.
I moved to London 2 months ago from New Zealand and had been finding it hard to find good coffee, so was stoked to taste this delicuous flat white! (Also like Climpsons & Sons, Ozone & Allpress coffee too!)
G. H.
Coffee was good, service was excellent and the price for London: good. Female member of staff went out their way to make my 2 Yr old a babychino without being asked and didn't charge. fyi: Costa that massive coffee chain, charge you for the privilege.
M. M.
Great and tasty food! Nice coffee. Cute atmosphere. It's worth visiting for breakfast. Try the salmon and avocado on bread.
G.
The flat whites are pretty much perfect. Service is quick and efficient. The decor is very dark and the bench seats make you sit very upright. A very nice place to enjoy a coffee.
J. M.
The coffee is good, the atmosphere is a bit hipster-ish, but it's a perfectly good to pick up a coffee, but not really made as a place to socialise in-- the seats are hard, it's not, well, cosy for lack of a better word. It does do that thing a lot of coffee shops in Soho do of closing at 7, irritating if you want to meet up with people after work.
Good coffee, though.
L. W.
Came here years ago when they first opened, came back two days ago. Staff were friendly, service was quick. As a non-dairy drinker my only complaint (and not only to this place) is that soya-milk has gone out of fashion and they now make their own evil tasting concoctions of nuts, oats and whatever else. It my not be cool to pull out a liter of Alpro but believe me it tastes better.
M. K.
Friendly bunch - delicious, affordable coffee. Good atmo. A*
A. H.
The main reason I come to Flat White is the coffee because it is very strong and creamy. Other than that the staff isn't as friendly as you would expect and would often ignore you and just talk to each other. One other thing that I perticularly dislike is how noisy the place is.
So if you want fast service and a relaxing atmosphere I would recommend skipping this place, but if all you care about is the quality of the coffee then Flat White is for you.
C. S.
Very good coffee here. The staff is very chilled out.. the seating space is kinda limited so not the best place to sit down with a friend but definitely a great spot for grabbing a good cup of coffee!
S. B.
The coffe was great but the brownie even better!
S. H.
New Zealand is renowned for coffee - it is what they live and breath. Flat White is a perfect example of NZ doing what it does best. A small, tucked away coffee shop it is easy to miss but once inside Flat White is everything you need. A weekend frequent.
A. B.
perfect place for breakfast with cup of coffee
C. B.
I had a large soy cap - it's Auz style quality but too weak (only single shot for a large?) and not warm enough. Coffee had a great aroma though & service was great.
C. H.
Great coffee with Aussie accents in Berwick Market (do drop by the stalls outside for flowers, fresh fruit and a lunchtime snack too). Flat White is small and often busy but their coffee and bakery are superb and their service is friendly and chatty.
C. B.
Very nice coffee spot! I wanted to check it out for a while and I was very pleased by the coffee. I had a flat white there, very original isn't it?
The atmosphere is nice as well as the staff, I will come back there.
A. P.
Always good coffee! Nice shop, average atmosphere...
J. N.
Proper kiwi coffee, served with love and attention. Even has L&P, and other drinks from down under.
Really lovely atmosphere, just next to the hustle and bustle of Berwick Street market in central London.
Highly recommend the flat white, as you can guess..
R. E.
Such a nice café turned pub at night with lovely staff who make you feel so welcomed and taken care of ❤️
K. T.
Cosy cafe in Soho. Ventured in on a rainy Saturday afternoon and was not disappointed by the quality of the coffee. They also offer dairy alternatives which is a huge plus!
Their food menu also looked very tempting but unfortunately I did not get to try anything.
L. K.
Nice little cafè in Soho, btw. Oxford street & piccadilly circus 😊
J. Y.
Lovely little coffee shop with a lot of character and awesome coffee. The freshly prepared food will surely tickle your tastebuds. It can get quite busy at times but you usually find a seat if you wait a bit. Great addition in the heart of Soho. #SushiScreens
B. K.
For me the best coffe in London. I go to a lot of coffee shops and find this to be exceptional. Ace staff, laid back vibe, not try-hard, really great place to chill. Oooh ooh - AMAZING banana bread. GO!
C. P.
Totally lost it. Changed the barrista years ago the coffee went downhill. Now they changed the brownies (heaven above :p), gluten free just doesn't taste the same. It's an average coffee shop now when it used to be no.1, v sad.
S. C.
I was personally a bit disappointed. The coffee itself was good but it had been built up to me as the best coffee in London and I didn't find it to be that. Perhaps my expectations were a bit high.
I'd still certainly stop for a cup if I were in the area but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.
A. H.
AMAZING oat latte. Superb oaty, malty, yet smooth flavour. One of the best coffees in London. Disappointingly, no coffee art though 🙁
A. S.
Soho is full to the brim with cafes peddling great coffee, and I don't see what makes Flat White much different. Good, strong Flat Whites are served alongside cakes and sandwiches to a very specific crowd (Soho media types abound here). It gets a little pressed for space, but it's a nice enough place to catch up or have a meeting.
S. A.
Nice little cafe with tasty coffee and baked goods.
P. D.
Expensive but good coffee. One of the earliest gourmet coffee outlets in London.
e. t.
If you are looking for quality coffee in the heart of Soho, the " Flat white" is one of the best. Small cozy place next to the open market with options for a quick snack and loads of cakes.
A. P.
Really good coffee. I am sad that I am giving you only 4 because you lost my particular reusable coffee cup :/ maybe next time I will pop in and try again. of course for flat white #ofcourseforflatwhite #ifnotlamanozakopane
S. R.
I love the point that they grind the beans in front of you when every time you order and they use a right strainer to make it. There coffee was so awesome! I love the taste of it and its so delicious and creamy! Must try this one!
J. C.
Really friendly baristas and a constant flow of people, the perfect little spot to catch your breath when out and about in central. The cakes look good and the coffee is good, what more could you want!?
C. G.
If you like the good quality of coffee in London, you should come over. Problably it's from here the firts Flat White. Good pastries and strong coffees. Amazing. In the heart of Soho. Really cool.
T. N.
Amazing, nice representation of dark arts, and all.around nice people
L. G.
Best coffee in London. I love to come here for a long black after Oxford Street gets too much. I like to sit outside and smoke a cigarette and watch the world go by.
J. E.
Really nice little coffee shop, really tasty. Would definitely recommend if you're nearby, if not go so far as to call it my favourite. It gets a little bit crowded at peak times too.
E. J.
Sister of Milk Bar a few blocks away, they're similar in quality and size - in that it can get crowded quickly and you spend a lot of time trying to jostle for a table for those creatives who can waste a full day in a cafe with their laptop.
Like Milk Bar, they serve a small selection of hot food (if you can get a table), but take away is always a better bet with this place.
F. R.
Still one of my favourite coffee shops in London. Credited with introducing the 'drink' of the same name to London. Not sure if that is true - but it is where I was I introduced to what has become my defacto coffee habit.
O. G.
One of my favourite London coffee shops. Consistently great coffee and some tasty food to go along with it. It's a small and intimate venue and with its popularity finding seating can be tricky
J. W.
Went here most mornings I was in London. The best cafe! Felt like back at home Aussie vibes. Goood coffee and food. Wasn’t too keen to go anywhere else once I went here.
J. L.
Almost the best flat white I've ever enjoyed....ace taste, ace aroma!
T. H.
This place in the heart of Soho is great for a coffee and a look at the Berwick street market. Loads of fabric shops, good cafes and near enough to the shops on Oxford street to make a quick visit possible. And the coffee - excellent.
M. F.
Wonderful cafe in the Area. Everything is always freshly made and served at reasonable prices, with the help of a very friendly and professional staff not to mention the prompt and punctual service and optimal hygienic conditions.
J. M.
Large selection of coffees as well as flat whites. My flat white was very smooth and wonderful consistency.
R. R.
I love the pecan pancakes! The has browns weren't one of my favorite things but everyone with us loved them. The biggest OH MY is the amount of food on your plate. Even the heavy eater in the group left things behind and contemplated whether or not we needed a wheel barrel to get him back to the car.
M. O.
Amazing quality coffee. Got a Flat White for 3£.
Impossible to sit inside it's very small and was full in the two occasions I went
The coffee is totally worth it though
j. b.
Great location on the buzzy pedestrianised Berwick street offers a cuddle not far from the maddening crowd. Good service. Coffee and bite adequate but undistinguished at the price in a fiercely competitive marketplace.
O. M.
Aaah great coffee in area saturated with standard chain coffee places. Worth the detour here. Fantastic drink and rest when you do get here to enjoy the coffee slowly.
L. L.
The avocado toast with egg is yum. Latte is so-so.
B. F.
I was relieved to find good coffee in London. Only its sister shop Milk Bar edges it out.
Good to see Aussie & Kiwi baristas to make me feel at home.
M. M.
Feels like this has been here for years now - its an essential stop for great coffee. Its in berwick street market - so when the markets on its a bit hidden. Like all the streets of soho its mostly londoners here as the tourists rarely stray off the main roads.
Flat white is both HIP and Friendly - a rare combo, those Kiwis are infectious :)
A. A.
Amazing americano coffee and I bought the beans too
R. A.
My favorite coffee place in London - great coffee, fun staff and an atmospheric little shop.
The Flat White they serve is the best I've had in London to date.
A. C.
Perfect if you're craving kiwi-inspired coffee. Small shop, ideal for a catch-up with a small group or a date. Well-crafted beverages and limited snacks.
N. C.
Great little caf, like finding an island of Australian coffee culture in London. Double shot of awesome coffee comes standard, and the food is tops too.
D. K.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops, it serves very nice and tasteful coffee. The ambiance is so welcoming, for sure I would love to come back here to start my day!
S. D.
a so-so place, average batch brew. Nice egg with sourdough. The waitress did not smile. A small place with small and uncomfortable seat
A. E.
The name suggests all . Get your Flatwhite here. Love my coffee everytime. This place used to be close to my office and I have very fond memories of my morning coffee. Miss you guys .
A. R.
Regularly come here to catch up with a friend as we both work locally. Really friendly staff, good coffee and great selection of milk alternatives so no one should feel left out here.
K. D.
One of favourite coffee places in London. They are stable in quality and friendly at all times.
A. C.
Flat white is a great little coffee shop on berwick street.
You can get a coffee for £2.50. It's a little on the small side but they choose the best beans so worth the dollar.
They also sell anzac biscuits- just fyi to any new zealanders
A. M.
Absolutely one of the best cafes in London. I'm going there almost every day. They made such a brilliant coffee well decorated and tasty.
Z. K.
Delicious coffee tasted by a Swedish company but brewed here on premises. The latte was spot on and extremely strong and I could not have asked for more!
M. H.
I've been once and my coffee was very bitter. I'm sure it was a one off and most of their coffee isn't burned. Will update the review next time I go!
J. W.
Great Antipodean style cafe.
S. D.
Nice enough coffee and they'll do you a cheese and ham toastie. While you're there have a look outside on Berwick Street, it's where they shot the cover for What's the Story Morning Glory. That is my fact of the day.
R.
Though the atmosphere and location are very nice, the onlu description I can use to the coffee is "mediocre". Barista is skilled, but the blend isn't thrillin.
I. E. M.
Good coffee good flat white
L. L.
Cool vibe, coffee was nice but too bitter for my taste. Very few seats inside.
P. H.
These folks know what they're doing. The roast is a bit on the dark side which is not quite my favorite, but people who prefer Italian roasts over the more Shoreditch-style ones will probably enjoy this one.
R. N.
Great espresso. Friendly staff. Perfect eggs avocado and toast with options to customise. Plus great vibes playing the back ground
S. G.
My favourite coffee place in central London.
Food is simple and perfect for a busy weekend browsing Oxford Street or exhibitions in the local galleries.
M. L.
great for the banana toast!
nice coffee
appreciate there have air conditioner
the weather of london is very hot.
nice place!
S. D.
Hard-seated Soho spot with great coffee and a tasty-looking food menu, sadly let down a little by the hipster staff & the heavy thrash metal they're always playing - love it sometimes but it's pretty off-putting to have the staff's taste shoved down your throat when you're only after a cuppa
J. J.
In my opinion, this is the best coffee in London. Not a lot of seating and it gets very cramped, but if it is busy, it's worth the wait.
V. K.
Little café in Soho with lovely coffee and small cakes on menu. Friendly staff, cosy chairs, overall a very pleasant environment.
I. L.
Subtle coffee shop in the middle of Soho serving great drinks and snacks.
Although usually busy you should be able to get a seat and the staff are friendly.
K. M.
Really friendly coffee shop with a local, artsy feel. Great tasting coffee, well balanced and smooth.
A. D. W.
I was hoping for a home away from home kiwi coffee experience but the cramped conditions left me uncomfortably pressed up against the counter trying to let people past but maybe I'm just not good at Londoning...coffee was ok but nothing to write home about
A. E.
The few coffees I had at this establishment where very nice and some of the best coffees I've had in London. A nice little non mainstream place to chill with a coffee.
R. H.
Best coffee in London. One of the first high end coffee shops in London. It is a little on the small side if you are looking for a place to meet.
P. T.
Small coffee shop in Soho, can get crowded at times. Their flat white is perfectly decent but, unlike the name may suggest, nothing mind-blowing.
S. H.
As you would expect, this Kewi run coffeehouse knows a thing about coffee and their coffee is above average. Foodstuffs are uour basic Anzack biscuits and cakes.
L. H.
Flat white is so good! Cozy and relaxing atmosphere!
D. C.
The best part about this place is that it is so good that you either want to take a coffee outside to still have its atmosphere at your hands or you want to stay there with your friends and enjoy some quality time with quality coffee.
J. C.
Cool staff and a friendly atmosphere. Decent coffee however regular is fairly small given the price.
J. m.
Great coffee and my go to place everyday for a morning brew! Wouldn't go anywhere else for a coffee!
N. B.
The best place to drink coffee before you go to work. They also offer free newspapers so you can read all latest news and enjoy your breakfast.
R. L.
They always take time to make sure our dog is ok, bring him water etc, so its excellent for dog owners in need of coffee, cake, or breakfast
K. H. (.
Small coffee shop with a variety of pastries (croissants, cookies, banana bread), breakfast and lunch items, and beverages. I enjoyed an avocado toast with poached eggs and iced coffee.
n. m.
Really good coffee, relaxed atmosphere and good staff. Definitely worth coming here
L. S.
The staff can really let themselves down here; I think they're getting a bit above their station and could do with been roped in a tad - their sister store Milk Bar is a lot friendlier :) Coffee is a bit hit and miss too - especially if you get in early..
A. H.
Nice atmosphere, very good coffee, ridiculously tasty cakes / bakery products.
O. L.
Excellent coffee but distinct lack of space to sit at peak times. Cakes are decent too...
A. S.
The best flat white in Town 5/5
L. M.
Very busy most of the time, so not easy to find a seat. Better for take away. But coffee is nice, friendly staff.
J. T.
Great coffee (probably best in London) and excellent food, banana bread is amazing.
J. A.
I don't know why, but I prefer the coffee from it's sister store, Milk Bar. Nonetheless, this place makes better coffee than the average chain.
T. C.
Great coffee place ! The waiters are so cool and chill !
Just go there, their coffee is too good !
k. m.
A true Soho institution. Great service, and the quality of the coffee has always been very good since I started coming 10 years ago.
R. L.
I agree with some of the other comments here. There's obviously a lot of love and care put into the coffee but it is a little weak and milky. Coffee could be a touch warmer as well.
P.
Best coffee in London, you have to try!
S. T.
That’s how a flat white should be done. Caffeine dose fixed. Coffee could be stronger but I guess had to be done generically to tailor for the market.
D. S. (.
Love the ginger Caramel cake. Very nice independent cafe. Hope they do well.
F. A.
Had a cortado but I didn't honestly like it as it felt too watered down for me but thumbs up for the delicious caramel and ginger mini cake bite.
C. Y.
Great coffee, amazing smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. No.1 antipodean cafe in London.
S. K.
Good coffee, miles better than the usual coffee shop chain. Looses 1 star for not much in the way of seating.
D. W.
Have been.coming to this place for a coffee for years whenever I go to London. Lovely coffee and great staff
M. M. (.
Had the most exceptional banana bread I've had in years and an Aussie worthy flat white.
Highly recommend
J.
Really good coffee. Got served hard avocado. I'd rather they take it off the menu for the day if they can't get it ripe.
L. J.
Decent coffee, was the place that introduced Flat Whites(and decent coffee) to the UK I believe. Staff are friendly and helpful
J. H.
I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about - I found it to be really small, pokey, and there was a long wait for the coffee, which I guess I'm just not enough of a connoisseur to appreciate the difference. Maybe I should go back when it's quieter and re-assess.
J. W.
Excellent coffee and baristas. Decent seating with a couple of tables outside. Serve cakes and breakfast plates.
A. D.
Great coffee and food, fantastic avocado and bacon on toast. Very busy but well worth it
M. R.
Great coffee. Fab cakes. Real soho atmosphere (unlike the fake tourist joints)
M. W.
Worthy of the name flat white. A sign of good coffee made by people who know their stuff!
P. T.
Great food. Great coffee. Can get crowded, but a wonderful slice of New Zealand in London.
A. C.
Excellent coffee and quick friendly service.
G. L.
Very nice place
Food is great and so is the coffee
I recommend and will come back!
S. K.
Awesome, the Soya got chocolate is really frothy and lovely. Food looked good too. Always packed when I go in here
P. E. R.
Great coffee shop in the heart of Soho not far from Carnaby Street where you can enjoy a good and strong coffee in a very cossy place.
G.
Great coffee!
W. R.
Speciality coffee shop serving dark arts espresso, staff are friendly to a point.
Cosy.
R. D.
Absolutely one of the best in London, but as many little coffee shops in London it did not have a toilet, so only 4 stars
A. Y.
The place is a little dark, but the coffee is excellent. Always stop by here or it's sister store when walking through Soho
S. S.
One of my favourite coffee shops in London. Perfect place for a casual meeting. Never disappoints
J. C.
Good coffee, not much space inside but if you can grab a table then it's an ok lo-fi experience.
C. H.
It's good coffee, but where doesn't have good coffee these days. Limited seating, quite expensive
C. M.
Nice coffee, always busy. But still a great little coffee shop.
M. W.
Didn't have any of the food but the menu seemed good. Had a flat white and enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere.
H. B.
Very enjoyable!
Tasty flat white presented with nice latte art and a friendly homely atmosphere.
Thanks guys!
D. H.
Nice coffee, sandwiches and treats. A great place to sit, talk and catch up with an old friend! Unfortunately it is a touch expensive though.
P. M. M.
The coffee doesn't live up to the hype, which is the norm for most of these artisan organic free trade coffee houses.
M. S.
Really fun and exciting staff here, dancing around and really enjoying what they do. Delicious and smooth espresso drinks as well.
L. L.
Best coffee I have found in London will be back for another one when I’m finished with this one ☕️
A. M.
Great friendly service and the best chocolate brownie I've ever eaten!!!
L. I.
this coffe shop is very nice, the Australian influence make the different between this coffe shop and other, the staff is very friendly ans help full, them recommend the delicious cake them sale it.
E. D.
Great coffee, limits spaces but you can sit on the bench outside and ship your coffee while the Berwick St world flies by.
K.
Had the poached eggs and they were perfectly cooked (perfect). The staff was cool and good service a l’australienne
C. A.
Mellow vibes and good coffee. Great selections of milks and coffee from dark arts :)
T. H.
Great coffee and an awesome breakfast bun. A bit pricey to get the full 5*
A. T.
Great coffee here. The service is excellent, but can get a bit crowded on weekends.
S. B.
Very good flat white. A bit on the pricey side ....
D. G.
lovely coffee and chill atmosphere.
G. S.
Coffee is always excellent, but the decor, atmosphere, and service tend to be among the worst London has to offer.
M. B.
Has a good menu and friendly staff but there was a bit of a mix up with us ordering food then finding out they'd run out. Such a shame, staff were nice enough about it
S. H.
They don't accept card payments. That's the major and significant downside. But everything else is really great. You should have a flat white there, obviously...
L. H.
Nice coffee good selection of coffee beans, no air con so not a place to go in the summer
J. M.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and more importantly great coffee!
Well recommended.
J.
One of the first great coffee shops in London and years later, still very good.
L. F.
Great wee neighbourhood place, serving the best coffee in soho and tasty treats with minimal fuss
D. R.

J. L.
Minimalist coffee shop. Great food quality and also really well located.
Z. P.
It does what it says on the tin. Plenty of Aussies there though, so always good to stop by for some banter. Toilet journey is an adventure!
S. H.
nice coffee place - however, don't expect to be seating for long it's a tiny outlet
S. S.
Great service and an interesting decor. The prices are reasonable. it's a nice place to have a cup of coffee and breakfast.
A.

T. K.
Good coffee and atmosphere. The place is very tiny but it feels comfy.
O. M.

B. N.
Small little shop that serve decent coffee
C.
The coffee tastes impeccable. I don't visit Soho excessively, but when I do I always stop at Flat White. You're absolutely missing out if you miss this place.
The food is likewise great. The avocado toast is super tasty -- I could eat the bread on its own. Definitely try out something from the menu here. It's a bit expensive, but worth it for a once-in-a-while treat.
Inside is pretty small and usually cramped and busy. It can be hard to get a seat; I've often just gotten a coffee to takeaway. Thankfully the area it's located in has a lot of things to explore.
L. M.
Hands down best coffee in London!
H. L.
Hands down the finest cappuccino I have ever drunk.
