Reviews of Franze & Evans Cafe Shoreditch
R. E.
Really great place for lunch or a casual dinner.
Place is nicely decorated with an edgy romantic twist with dark paint, cheque floors and chandeliers.
Came here for a late lunch and had a very friendly woman inform that the kitchen was closed but there was some salad from lunch menu. Salad was good quality with French ingredients. Had also a matcha latte and salted caramel banana bread. Both really good! Banana bread was perfectly moist and fresh with lovely cream cheese caramel frosting. Not sickly sweet.
Highly recommend this place for a casual brunch or dinner. Will be in to try other cakes! 😍

One of my favourite brunch place in East London/Brick Lane! I’ve literally been eating there for years. Franze & Evans offer a great variety of brunch plates in a very relaxed/family-style environment. If you’re a fish and meat lover, you must try the Trecolore! Absolutely delicious. Pastry lovers, this is also the place for you.

What a great place for Brunch!!!
Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Salmon very fresh , the coffee taste good with a coconut milk option and the Full English Breakfast is perfect. Well done!
A. P.
Great delicious food, served hot. 😋 Excellent and friendly service in a beautiful setting. This wonderful cafe is always in demand so you may have to wait a few minutes to get seated. Definitely worth the wait!
M. R.
the best coffee, breakfast, lunch and fabulous treats. Cakes are the best. All done with extra flavourful & special ingredients & a great deal of vegan offerings- love their food, coffee and cakes are the best!!! Take away food was all so tasty!! Go & enjoy eating outside from this Wednesday, 14th April 2021 - order a cake for all your events - I cannot recommend a better eatery in Shoreditch (authentic, independent & a great full menu to suit everyone’s tastes - BEST VEGAN OPTIONS!!)
O. J.
Best fried breakfast i’ve had in a while! Seasoned very well.
Overnight oats were good as well!
Matcha Day smoothie is nice and creamy whilst also being very healthy.
Would recommend.
R. M.
Incredible service, tasty food and good prices. If you’re looking for a vibey European style cafe in Shoreditch, this is it
C. H.
The atmosphere and service are nice but the food is overpriced for what it really is. I was happy to pay £8 for a toast that on paper sounded good, but truly disappointed with what I got. This is the least creative and most difficult to eat toast I’ve had. Other places around are way cheaper and more satisfying.
J. F.
Loved this place. Went for Brunch. The Food was absolutely delicious. Cake selection was too, too much, I ordered one of each to take out. Service was friendly and attentive
Will definately be going back for more.
E. P.
Lovely cafe in Shoreditch. Great value for money, fresh produce and just really pretty overall. Amazing for brunch too. Great variety of cakes and takeaway salads. Definitely a must in the area.
E.
Order a custom cake for my birthday: it was delicious and beautiful! It was exactly what I wanted! Everybody was impressed! The owners really take time to listen to what customers like and want!

🍳🍞Last weekend was a bit rainy again so we were so happy that our brunch at @franzevans was only 5 minutes walk from our house 😁☔️
They were absolutely full so we were grateful we had a booking. What amazed me straight away was their selection of amazingly looking fresh cakes 🧁, pastry 🥐, savoury croissants and salads 🥗. We decided to have classic brunch options - scrambled eggs with salmon on a white loaf and full English breakfast 🥓 for my partner. They also serve burgers 🍔, poached eggs and many other brunch favourites. We totally loved it!
G. V.
What an amazing place for a Sunday brunch! I love to go to Franze and Evans and bring my friends along. Great coffee and amazing cakes. Highly recommended!
F. K.
Perfect little gem, for an impromptu breakfast, brunch or lunch. Veggie breakfast and salad choices is a personal favourite. Cosy little place with a great atmosphere, staff are also very friendly.
m.
Cozy cute Italian cafe in the ever interesting Redchurch St. Had the smashed avocado toast with two fried eggs on the side and they were ok. Can’t say I loved the fennel and thought slightly overpriced at £11 (inc £8 for one slice of avocado and toast). Coffee was good.
Giving it a 3 because service was very slow even though place is small and there aren’t many tables and atmosphere was busy - almost felt stressful vs vibrant with mixture of screming babies, stressed waiters and people waiting to be served.
Not recommended for people who are covid-concerned as tables pretty close to one another and some communal seating.
B. G.
One of my favourite spots in the area. I've visited this place regularly for the past five years and every time was wonderful. Excellent food, the chef likes to incorporate seasonal produce which I appreciate. Coffee and baked good are fantastic. Staff are always friendly (even during brunch service when it gets super busy!).
C. C.
Healthy options and Full English with a twist. My daughter and I enjoyed brunch. It was a bit busy as it seems popular so be prepared to wait or not if lucky.
R. L. L.
Good breakfast and they are well seasoned and well made. On the expensive side for breakfast but I enjoyed it thoroughly.
E. P.
Ordered a custom cake for my partner at Valentines day, and it was perfect! Absolutely beautiful- decorated with incredible detail, and genuinely must be one of the best tasting cakes I've EVER had! Could not recommend enough, for special occasions or even just a day-to-day treat.
A. M.
Really enjoyable experience, stopped by for a Latte and Croissant. Will definitely be visiting soon for lunch. Fresh Array of food choices all looked temptingly delicious (all cooked on the premises) and thats not mentioning the cakes. Great atmosphere and decor. Warm service. Highly recommended.
B. C.
On a sunny morning, I tried out this cafe. It was busy, staff was super friendly and food arrived within a reasonable time.
The portion sizes were decent, and prices were also decent. 2 items plus a coffee was £20.10!
The best feature was their little sign which separated out tables for smokers just around the corner. I don't mind people smoking but I find it annoying when you're enjoying a meal outside and you get whiffs of second hand smoke instead of your meal.
Will definitely be back.
C. P.
Nice coffee, service and food, nice seating area outside.
FYI none of the fruit juices/iced teas are freshly made by them.
E. K.
We went to this place for lunch today, it was recommended by a friend, and we had a great time, the food was excellent with vegan and vegetarian options, the ambience is great and we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked pastries upon entrance, which I think is always a good sign. He portions are plentiful, but the prices are surprisingly cheaper than most places like this would be in Shoreditch. I cannot wait to come back and sit outside during the summer!
We also had cakes and coffee, both delicious.
Service was a little awkward, however this didn’t affect our experience here.
I’ve already recommended this place to my friends, I’d love to take them here because it’s a true gem.
O. H.
Just right for a brunch in the Spring air. A perfect, if Italian sized decaf oataccino. A present and friendly team. The Trecolore is a unique take on eggs Florentine, the salmon and spinach topped by properly rich, free range eggs and a sprinkling of flaked, crispy prosciutto. That's what does it, surely. I could eat three of them.
C. L.
Really tasty food from a focussed and fairly priced menu. I tired the vegan pesto gnocchi and the arancini, delicious 👍
A. C.
Phenomenal food and service. I live nearby and come regularly for lunch - best place to grab a bite in the area. The food is fresh, healthy, and incredibly tasty!!!!!
A.
Delicious coffee (and cocktails!) and Sunday brunch, fantastic location and lovely staff. The menu has lots of tasty sounding options so I can't wait to comeback and try more. I had the salmon with scrambled egg, although a simple option it was executed well and tasted great. I also love the interior.
M. C.
Great brunch with a good vibe. Smoothies are good, specially Rise&shine one. If you are not sure what to have, go for the French toast with bacon, absolutely great!
Usually busy and they don’t take bookings on weekend. There are some tables outside for groups of 1-3 people.
S. L.
Yummy breakfast coffee. Food is good, you should try the salads they are really tasty.
The main drawback is that place is too packed and it is really noisy.
B. B.
Love this busy and vibrant place! The service was really friendly, the owner helped me with the pram and chose an easy spot for us and the baker explained her love for cakes which are all homemade there, they are the best...my two favourites; the lemon courgette and the banana salted caramel loaf. I recommend getting their breakfast (they have lots of choice), their smoothie of the day, a cake of course and coffee. I look forward to coming back again and again for more brunch, coffee and cakes!
I. B.
*This place is for foodies* Run by an Italian family, my favourite cafe in Shoreditch; the perfect spot for brunch, lunch, coffee and cake! The food is always absolutely delicious and filling plus the beautiful display of cakes never fails to tempt. Great place to bring visiting friends, cure a hangover or treat your family to tea and cake... you have to go. (Image is of the birthday cake I had made for my mum, lemon and courgette).
J. C.
Delicious! I didn't expect this good. Definitely recommend. Also nice staffs.
F. D. L.
Beautiful place for a delicious breakfast or brunch, alone or with some friends.
Very Very recommended. I will definitely come back
B. V.
Supernice brunch place. Very delicious and nicely prepared food. Loved the smoothie as well. Can't wait to come back again.
A.
Modern venue with a touch of Italian humour :-)) Exceptional Place with a variation of choices: Vegetarian - Vegan - Gluten free and a traditional tasty food. Healthy and very fillings dishes for Italian and British mix experience. Give a try and decided yourself.
P. G.
Great food - breakfast here is a treat every day but at weekends splashing out on scrambled eggs with sausage or bacon, or decadent French toast with fresh fruit is well worth it and their great menu lunches of salads, arancini and daily specials are perfection. Then there are their daily baked biscuits and cakes... oh! Joy! It can be packed and a bit chaotic but it's worth bearing with.
S. K.
Teresa made a beautiful and delicious celebration cake at short notice for my daughter's 30th birthday. We all loved it! Nico and Teresa are so friendly and helpful :-) The coffee and breakfasts at Franze and Evans are also amazing. I strongly recommend it all!
W. P.
great little place for breakfast, or lunch! very tasty coffee and extensive menu with clearly labelled vegan/ vegetarian options. i especially recommend the french toast :)
A. T.
The Italian waitress with the glasses (brown hair) was very rude which was very annoying. No one wants to start their morning with grumpiness. Also first time having such a rude service in London. The food was very good - ONLY for that 4 🌟
R. H.
Always friendly and great selection from a full meal, to coffee and cake
J. S.
Well-presented and tasty brunch, superb coffee, and imaginative takeaway salad. Highly recommended!
S. G.
Busy cafe/restaurant off trendy Brick Lane.
Amazing Spanishy breakfasts, full of flavour.
Staff are all nice.
Loud inside with lots of excited tourists and hipster locals.
W. S. L.
Great menu, fast and friendly service. Huevos Rancheros was very tasty. Great coffee too.
G. G.
Staff are rude. It’s on brick lane and serves nice coffees and cake so I’ll rate them for that.
O. L.
Amazing food, coffee, smoothies, and cake
A. K.
Every-time I have been to this cafe I have always enjoyed myself. The brunch dishes have always been superb and the staff are always very nice to me. It's a great fit if you are around Shoreditch and looking for a nice breakfast place that does incredible cakes and salads. Always delivers.
D. B.
Service wasn’t great but the food was decent. Typically a place you’ll have to wait to be seated given it’s in the heart of Shoreditch.
M. H.
This cafe has been a big part of the ‘Shoreditch experience’ for what must be over ten years. Shoreditch is an odd place when you live here -there’s weirdly not that much to look at. It’s actually all about places like this. They’ve been here since the ‘start’ and they’ve only managed to keep going because of the loyal customers who keep coming back. It was here before any of the other interesting cafes and boutiques - and it’s still the best. The menu is consistently interesting and varied - a really well put together sammy and salad, or something that satisfies like a proper full meal. Everything you’d want depending on your mood. Great ingredients, cooked really well and really nice staff. Great drink choices too. The owner is Italian so the coffee is some of the best around here.
K. B.
I've ordered Lemon & Courgette and some Banana & Salted Caramel cupcakes from Franze & Evans for my friend's birthday last weekend. Not only did they look incredible they were some of the most delicious cupcakes I have ever eaten in my life. I'll be back!
N. B.
Nice and friendly cafe with a good menu selection.
Service is a bit slow but it was very busy so understandable.
The eggs are delicious!
L. F.
I bought my boyfriend a custom coffee cake as a surprise for his birthday, it looked incredible with everyone saying it was the best coffee/tiramisu cake they had ever had so I could not recommend these guys enough. The service was seamless from start to finish and the team were very helpful. Looking forward to going back and trying different cake another occasion.
E. H.
Friends and I have been coming here for 7 years. The food is delicious and the best ingredients. Have eaten at pretty much every place in Shoreditch and this is top 3 for sure, especially for brunch. To the negative reviews around staff being rude this is inaccurate, they are just passionate, busy Italians. There's a subtle but refined difference.
M. K.
The best brunch in Shoreditch!
This place does literally - the best cakes in the world. The salads are amazing - so healthy but so tasty too. If you have not visited Franze & Evans yet, you're missing out, and you need to get yourself down there.
The service is great and its nice to have breakfast somewhere with authentic staff, unlike the other hipster joints.
F&E stands out from the crowd, the drinks far are cheaper than other places in the area, and the food is delicious. :)
P. T.
F&E is my favourite place to eat lunch, I go for the fresh tagliatelle with king prawns and a fresh mint tea every time! Just delicious.
J. N.
Cute cafe with friendly servers. Only got a coffee but the food looked great. Ideal for weekend brunch.
Y. B.
We’ve been visiting F&E for over 8 years now, since we moved to Shoreditch and although we left Shoreditch, no matter how far we moved, we keep on coming back for a weekend treat when we can. This gem holds its value as Gold. We come for the rich, healthy, good quality ingredients breakfast, but we pack 4-5 cakes to take away, made by the best baker you’ve never heard of (Teresa).
There is a reason why F&E has selectively opened new stores in and out of the UK as far as Japan. Love this place and no matter how much I’ve tried to find something like this in other cities or in London, I failed.
M. Z.
One of my favourite brunch experiences ever. Easy to get on with staff and the cakes were also fantastic. If you are around the Shoreditch area I would highly suggest visiting Franze & Evans for brunch or a quick breakfast. It really was excellent.
C. B.
The staff is super nice and the ambiance is calming. I had the Shakshuka and the red beet coffee. The coffee was a bit underwhelming but I have nothing to compare it to. The shakshuka was really yummy especially nice on a rainy day. Even though I didn't try the cake, they look really impressive and enticing. The location is impeccable; Shoreditch is a nice hip place with really cute eclectic shops. I would suggest this to anyone in the area. A lovely place to go to on a chill sunday.
C. C.
Food was absolutely delicious and staff were great!!!.We went to the cafe twice on our wkend visit. Will definitely be going back upon our return to London 👌
B.
What a great place to eat on Redchurch Street !
You can see that thought & love is put into the menu and all the food being served .. I say well done to the great team..
You’ll find a mix of heathy dishes, the freshly made salads look so vibrant, & truly taste real good!
As a treat, I took one of the amazing looking cakes... Wow! Courgette Cake. So good, I’ll be ordering a whole one for a friends birthday!
I’ve recommended this Cafe to friends & if anyone’s visiting Shoreditch .. do go along and see for yourself!
K. T.
I have eaten regularly at Franzè & Evans over the last 6 or 7 years and the food is consistently excellent. Great salads, great snacks and amazing cakes, washed down with what is possibly the best cup of coffee in East London. Go. You will not be disappointed.
C. T.
Ok coffee at this place, but when a waiter spills your coffee as soon as it is served, the polite thing to do is to replace it (or at least the saucer) and provide a napkin to clean up the mess.
F. L.
Take ages to serve so if you are a busy person then its not a good idea. Bun is dry and sharp but chips and burger are quite good despite a little greasy. Cost: £9.50 EACH!!!!😕
S. D.
I love this place - the food is really awesome.
Great coffee and the cakes - wow - they are special
We got a VEGAN (!) birthday cake and it was amazing
Check this place out - it’s super friendly
Best place in the area and independent
Support it 😍🎂
S. N.
I simply love this place. The people are warm and friendly and i like the artisan feel of the place. They sell the most amazing cakes and the food is of excellent quality for a fair price. I have never been disappointed eating here. The coffee is excellent too.
m. s.
Definitely my favourite place to stop in Shoreditch to enjoy the best italian coffee, amazing selection of indulgent, well displayed cakes and tasty food served all day. The atmosphere is always vibrant and buzzy with an eclectic clientele, I go there very often , my preferred time is in the morning when I have their delicious breakfast .The service is also excellent , the staff is well trained and always friendly making you feel welcome. I highly recommended it to go!
F. C.
My family and I all love this cafe. It has the best cakes and salads. Perfect for a nice breakfast or brunch on the weekend if you are around the Shoreditch area. Staff are very friendly
T. B. H.
Very nice and cozy place for relaxed brunch and pastries, and dog friendly 🐶
T. A.
lady waitress very freindly, clean place aswell. Only issue i have is its a bit too expensive. Especially with pret just 100 yards away! uder the current climate other businesses such as Pret are doing unlimted coffes for £20 a month where my recent trip in franze with my four year old after a ordering a latte which comes in a small glass cup and a slice of cake and a Croissant ended up costing me £10. granted the quality of the food was good but i think they can a little bit cheaper!
S. F.
I came to this cafe this morning for the most fantastic brunch with my family. Seemed as though all the customers were having a lovely time enjoying their breakfasts etc. I don’t often travel into Shoreditch but may have to make another trip to this cafe very soon!
J. P.
Food taste is unstable. Sometimes it’s really really good, sometimes it’s not what I expected. My last visit was like I had to clean my table by myself, avocados were everywhere, no one came and cleaned. Young Male staff looked very stressful, it was even hard to ask for the top water. But Apart from this, in general good service with reasonable price. And coffee taste getting better ;)

Ive been days ago in Franze &Eand nice atmosphere and fantastic place where you can enjoyed your coffee break. Waitres was great and attentive to your needs, Marika looked after us so well! Great care, custommer service skills and approach. I reccomend it!!!
G. M.
I been going to France & Evans restaurant for many years I love the lovely staff who are always very friendly and charm, as a Sicilian and missing my homemade food made by my mother,When I tried the food for the first time @franze&evans couldn't belive that I can finally taste the original and good food that I have back home, I love the arancini and parmigiana as is typical food in sicily, if I could I will give 10 stars.
I'm going to miss this amazing place as I moving out of London
N. R.
We had a fabulous lunch with friends and really enjoyed it. Couldn't recommend enough the food and especially the deserts 😋
B. M.
For over 10years I have visited this gem, set in amidst the heart of the trendy Shoreditch urbania. Bringing friends from around the world to experience ingenious couture delivered with excellence - all you have to do is start with the Machiavellian eggs, the rest is just an oral sensational explosion! The buzz and vibe are fitting of the team and family that excel with artistic flare in the delivery of an experience that comes with few modern cafe-culture trends. A 'must' for anyone visiting London, or whom has yet to discover their regular brunch spot. Grande!
I. F.
Best cake in london! My fave place to go for a coffee & their amazing lemon & courgette cake. Also a great spot for brunch & delicious salads. Love going here.
S. C.
This place does the yummiest breakfasts ever! You can taste the love in all the food 💗 The cakes are so spectacular plus the salads on offer are really special and the busy-ness and Italian passion for perfection is all part of the unique charm xx
C. J. A. C. H.
Staff a bit abrupt. When I asked if the Bloody Mary was non-alcoholic when it was delivered i was told if that is what I ordered then that’s what I got. Not really clear when she put it down and said one Bloody Mary! Then I ordered a decaf coffee (I’m pregnant). When it was delivered she said one latte. This time I didn’t dare check if it was decaf. Not entirely sure if it was but that’s what I ordered so assume that’s what I got ;) cakes are fabulous though. I enjoyed my brunch here and they didn’t rush us off the table but they weren’t that fussed about checking if we needed anything either. Probably wouldn’t go back though there are so many other options in the area.
M.
Lovely brunch spot hidden away from the business of Shoreditch. Great brunch menu.
D. K.
Always a superb experience at this Cafe.. Best place by miles in the Shoreditch for Breakfast or Brunch. They do the best coffee around the Shoreditch area also. Keep it up Franze & Evans.
S. W.
Hands down, no competition the tastiest breakfast, the fastest crew and the most sublime cakes that cater to literally all tastes. From vegan to death by chocolate and everyone in between.
n. a.
Good spot for Brunch of Breakfast if you are around the Shoreditch area. Overall a great cafe for everything! Must try there cakes when you go
m. s.
Lovely flavourful coffee and friendly staff
G. C. (.
Great little coffee shop. Delicious almond croissants, alternative milk available, friendly service. Lunch looks tasty too!
L. T. M.
Really brilliant little cafe serving a wide variety of tasty meals. Lunches are particularly special - their daily salads never disappoint. Also, the kale, Mango and coconut milk smoothie is so delicious. If you're in the area, you should definitely go!
A. K.
I literally love Franze & Evans. Today was my first visit and it was such a lovely cosy cafe. I loved my breakfast and am planning a trip next weekend for Brunch. What a great Cafe! Thanks guys.
A. B.
Been a few times. The food's so lovely but the shop is let down by it's rude, stressful staff. Ordering simple things can become an anxiety-iducing mess. Most recently I was overcharged a pound, and when I politely brought it up, the sever loudly sighed and aggressively slammed a pound down in front of me. There's just no need
M. C.
Great service, best coffee in the area, really good. Friendly staff
b. b.
Have been coming to this eatery for some time now. Usually for coffee and cake, which are all delicious. Have had Sunday brunch a few times, which has been consistently good. But it can get quite busy on Sundays, due to the local markets.
Last week came during the week for my birthday breakfast and had smoked salmon, scrambled eggs – yum – and the usual coffee and cake of course. Had the chocolate, avocado and matcha cupcake, which were so good that I had to have another one.
As the Deli has established itself over the years, the service has improved and the atmosphere is good.
Would highly recommend.
c. h.
Great friendly well run cafe , just love going for breakfast nice clean lovely place to relax !!!!
Lunch is full of variety, fantastic salads and the Lasagne is superb !!
Sometimes i just pop in for a coffee or a slice of homemade cake .
a. v. d. e.
I love this spot for a healthy but satisfying lunch and incredibly yummy homemade cakes. They have a different spread of salads each day you can choose from at the counter (up to 3 per small or big plate) at a reasonable price for the area. It's small, friendly and the decor is super cute.
E. S.
One of the best breakfast places in Shoreditch and a nice alternative to the chains that are around the area. I have visited for brunch and breakfast several times / staff are excellent and fab overall service
S. D.
Lovely little cafe on Redchurch St that fills up quickly on the weekend but is quieter during the week. Good coffee, cosy seating and a tempting selection of salads and hot lunches.
I've always found service to be especially friendly here. Today, the girl serving told me all about their delicious cakes, which are made by one of the management team and are almost too pretty to eat. Almost!
V. P.
This is my local cafe. I go before 10 and can usually find a seat but it does get crowded. The crowd consists mostly of locals and the ambience is great. A lot of chatter but not loud. The food menu is pretty standard. Nothing innovative, but it is good, which is the important thing. A great space for a catch up with friends or family brunch.
C. B.
This place is like a drug....It's so difficult to not visit it everytime we come to London. We usually stay around Tower Hill and Bermondsey and our Saturday or Sunday morning stroll always seems to take us though Spitalfields market and Brick lane....And lo and behold....at the end of Brick lane there is Franze & Evans!! It's small, very busy and not cheap but the food, and the service is brilliant. If you don't like sharing your table this is not the place for you....mingling is the name of the game! The variety of food is good. Breakfasts of all types, main meals, lovely choice of fresh salads and homemade specialty cakes, which are to die for. And good gluten free options. It's more relaxed in the afternoon and they serve good cocktails. There are a few tables in front and to the side of the cafe in the street. Redchurch street is a cool street with lots of unique shops. You have to try it....but be prepared to queue.
F. P.
an English breakfast in London, but with international choice. Everything well presented and served, service not quick as wanted but it was Sunday morning with the restaurant full of people.
I loved the crunchy salad and the freshly greens leaves, a guiche with pumpkin well executed. American coffee could be stronger.
M. C.
This place does the yummiest breakfasts in Shoreditch!
There is some delicious vegan options, the food is super tasty.
If you re around Brick Lane and Shoreditch, Franze & Evans is the place to go!
A. F.
I had a great dining experience with this little cafe when I visited London. The food and service is exceptional. I highly recommend Franze & Evans and I’ll be sure to be back.
s. c.
Had lunch at Franz and Evans the other day as i was in the area for work and the place was recommended to me by sombody. I was very happy with the all experience: staff were polite and nice , food was amazing, super tasty 😋and the atmosphere really cool! I will def go back!!
really goodreally really
T. G.
We always head straight there when visiting London, hands down epic eggs, great cakes and really perfect welcome..
T. L.
Best flat white and an amazing salad, great customer service definitely coming back
D. B.
After discovering this place a few months ago. I held off on giving a review, because sometimes after a visit two or three times these trendy places are just that. They end up one trick ponies and you realise they just got lucky.
But with Franze and Evans if anything it gets better. We usual go for Sunday Brunch, Sunday papers Eggs Benedict with fries on the side and fresh coffee. the atmosphere is always cosy which is a must on a Sunday whether hungover or with friends
K. M.
I travel to East London 6-8 times a year ( from US). Discovered this place a few years ago and try to take away or eat in exact time. Love the quality of the food and the passion of the owner. Service can be a bit off, but the food never always fab
I. S.
Great brunch and even better coffee. Franze & Evans is a lovely cafe and suits us down to the ground as our office is right next door. Thanks guys for your continuous efforts
G. C.
This brunch spot is very popular on the weekends. They do a number of great brunch dishes and a range of salads which you can pick and mix. This place is good for small groups and staff there are helpful and efficient. Hardest part is getting a table!
M. D.
The boss at this place is awful to his staff, and always stressed and shouting. When I was there he had a go at a delivery guy and then at one of his waitresses. The food is great, if overpriced, but the owner needs to calm his temper and remember that people don't like to eat in places where the staff are badly treated.
Just to point out, we go there quite often (maybe 3 times a week) and this is a regular occurrence, not a one off. If it happens once more, everyone at our company won't be going back.

Quality of hot food seems to have gone down a bit, but the cakes and salads are still delicious as always. They managed some of the most intricate and beautiful cake decorations I've ever seen during Halloween.

Really brilliant little cafe serving a wide variety of tasty meals. Lunches are particularly special - their daily salads never disappoint. Also, the kale, Mango and coconut milk smoothie is so delicious. If you're in the area, you should definitely go!

The food was excellent but they forgot to bring it to the table ... (i had to remind them after 45 min of waiting ) Mine were eggs and eggs do not take an hour to get ready. I had the feeling they forgot. If they would take care about the service a little bit more this place would be awesome
S. G.
Absolutely love coming here for brunch- always great service and great food!

Glad you are open again. Look forward to having my poached eggs again

I love this spot for a healthy but satisfying lunch and incredibly yummy homemade cakes. They have a different spread of salads each day you can choose from at the counter (up to 3 per small or big plate) at a reasonable price for the area. It's small, friendly and the decor is super cute.
T. A.
Truly I can't stop going there to have my breakfast and lunch I give Franze and Evan's at Shoreditch 5 stars because There Breakfast it's number one among All Cafe restaurants in Shoreditch especially weekend breakfasts at Franze and Evan's Cafe Shoreditch it's the BEST PLACE TO ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND BREAKFASTS .

Great cafe breakfast. Would recommend if you're in Shoreditch.
Will go again for a brunch with friends.

One of my favourite café spots in Shoreditch. Great breakfast and good coffee. Nice and attentive staff and a nice feeling of local community that other similar cafes in Shoreditch don´t get to achieve.Even though it can get really busy at times, it also offers a good workplace environment. Free wifi and big, spacious tables with a nice view of Redchurch Street.

The chaotic service, you could say adds to the charm of this little eatery. Unfortunately the tasteless food is something that you can't look past. The portions were terrible and I paid £9.50 for a plain chicken sandwich - not quite like the peri peri chicken burger promised on the menu. Don't equate your time, money and frustrations on this place.

Lovely Italian cafe in one of the most modern corners of London. Ideal to have a coffee in the terrace and relax for a while. TIP: order the brownies. Absolutely delicious.

Great cafe for a coffee and a quick brunch trip. Outdoor seating really helps during these times.
M. B.
run by italians, hence the food is really good and the quality really high. if you want a good location, good food and good price, this is the place. franze and evans has everything to be 1 of the spots in tower hamlets.

(Translated) A restaurant / pub with Italian specialties in the Brick Lane area. A few tables outside, but with chained chairs ... impossible or almost to sit out if there is any guest more than expected. Service a little slow and ... confusing. The products are good, especially the cheeses and wines. Great to spend an evening with friends, better inside, however, than outside, because the road is quite busy. A bit more expensive than average.

(Translated) Small shop, table on weekends only with a wait.
For a great, partly healthy breakfast with not too big map. And delicious baked goods.
Nice service and delicious.
Recommendation: Drink Golden Latte!
Always something new on the map. It's worth it

Kleiner Laden, Tisch am Wochenende nur mit Wartezeit.
Dafür tolles, teilweise gesundes Frühstück mit nicht all zu großer Karte. Und leckeren Backwaren.
Netter Service und lecker.
Empfehlung: Golden Latte trinken!
Immer Mal wieder was neues auf der Karte. Lohnt sich
