H. M.
Really really good coffee - one of the best in Kings Cross area for sure. And nice, minimalist yet cosy little premises with cool art and nice servers. Nice selection of baked goods and the cinnamon buns were delicious.
L.
Delicious Oat flat white and Chai Latte, presented beautifully too. Staff are very friendly. Bagels were nice if perhaps slightly overpriced. Was a Little quiet when we popped by, I imagine the place comes to life with more of a buzz - currently no cocktails being served due to a reduction in footfall owing to covid. Definitely one of the best coffees I’ve had locally, good to work as it’s quiet, if you want more of a buzz, this is perhaps a little tucked away and therefore sleepy, but that might be what you are after…
C. E.
Cute place to have a quick coffee and pastries, i like the subtle taste of the lemon slice.
P. B.
This is a wonderful cafe and definitely my favorite in the area. It is so cozy and they have free wifi so a perfect place to come and work. They have great coffee (no decaf at the moment, though) and also wine, cocktails, beers, and smoothies. I will definitely be coming here regularly as it is such an ideal place to work.
A.
Great little coffee not far from Kings Cross station. The owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the coffee all of which is sourced directly by them. I tired the Columbia which had a good sweetness with chocolaty undertones. Well recommended and I'll be sure to visit again
A. A.
Needed a meeting room at short notice, really quickly arranged and very responsive to messages. Lovely space very well put together and the bonus advantage of fantastic coffee. Highly recommended!
R.
Flat white and a carrot cake. They were both delicious!
W. B.
Nice little coffee shop.
Good service and well made coffee.
Flat White £2.9
Slightly boring tasting coffee- would go for espresso next time and let that shine.
H. G.
Great coffee and food. We used the private space which was perfect for a quiet meeting
J. S. R.
Good quality coffee and delicious cakes - we had a very pleasant visit on some rainy day
Y. L. X.
Perfectly frothed milk and great espresso! It’s one of the best flat white I’ve had recently. Good music as well!
T. T.
The flat white was a tad too acidic and not well-balanced although the owner made a decent latte art with the oat milk. I then also tried a v60 which was much better. On weeknights you get tapas with your beer and wine! Cosy spot for a quick one.
J. B.
Best coffee in London. I get the latte every week and now I'm spoilt and won't drink it anywhere else.
Also amazing rich chocolate brownies for the occasional treat
J. R.
Friendly service, filter available as batch or v60. Some filled bagels and the usual coffee shop pastries. Nice little cosy atmosphere. Also a bar later in the day.
M. W.
This Australian says YES to the coffee here - superb!!
C. W.
Great Flat white coffee. Price is slightly high for the area but it's a nice cafe serving cakes, brownies, scones and cookies.
M. D. W.
Excellent coffee and good cakes. Cakes were individually wrapped, so weren't faintly stale like so many coffee shop cakes I've eaten elsewhere.
j. o.
lovely place, intensively good coffee, slightly small interior but sitting outside is just as brilliant
S. A.
Probably the best coffee in London at standard central London prices. Iced latte is not too good, but the espresso tonic and hot coffees were amazing! Lovely atmosphere, lovely baristas
N. B.
Cozy cafe near King’s Cross and Angel. Very runners friendly. This place also hosts many social events.
D. C.
Great coffee served in this tastefully decorated little shop. Staff extremely friendly and prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.
W. W.
Love this Coffee place! We went there when exploring the King's X/Farringdon area and it was just across the road from our hotel. The coffee is great, the food is nice and the staff are super friendly. It's a nice atmosphere and also looks like it's open late in the evening. Definitely worth coming here for breakfast rather than paying hotel prices!
S. T.
Been here a few times, and the quality of coffee here is consistently topnotch. Owner is passionate about coffee (and music) and improving his cafe, and is really friendly. I've noticed that many of the customers are regulars. Interiors are simple, modern but cosy. Towards the late afternoon to evening, there is the option for beer, wine, and/or tapas. Definitely a favorite spot in London!
P. G.
Great coffee, I love sitting out front sipping coffee and watching the pedestrians
J. S.
Great cafe serving fantastic coffee from the friendliest of staff. While the coffee served here is the best I have had in the King' s X area I cannot say enough positive things about the staff here. Very enthusiastic about their roast profiles, extremely accommodating to personal preferences and just all around nice dudes. I cannot recommend this place enough!
P. K.
Super nice staff, actually got me a new coffee when I dropped mine!
A. P.
Great coffee and great soundtrack. I love the vibe of this place. I've also been in the evening while waiting for a dinner table next door. It was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and be able to hear each other pretty rare on a Friday evening.
A. B.
I had a really nice lunch break here. The food was good (nice twist on the overly-famous salmon bagel) and the atmosphere was chilled and relax with friendly staff. Good place to have a break from work and to enjoy tasty food.
I. O.
Great coffee! Probably the best I have tried in London.
The baristas are really friendly and the atmosphere is cool.
L. C.
I would give it 5* for service, very welcoming. but coffee was not to my liking (too weak). very limited breakfast options too (from past posts I was expecting at least toast and spreads, porridge, and granola. but there were only pastries
Y. P.
Great relaxing atmosphere. Lovely coffee and friendly service - grab yourself a book and enjoy a chill afternoon! :)
D. B.
Unpretentious decor, good tunes and top quality coffee — mine's an Oatly Flat White, thanks!
Z. A.
On the busy road that be Kings Cross road, so far down where no one tends to venture, you’ll come across a warm glow at number 121 which opens your eyes to a cosy, quirky cafe hidden in the bustle that be London. You’ll be enticed by the soft jazz music alluring you to the face of Justo, the owner, who will be waiting to welcome you into his humble creation. Wood flooring, simplistic rustic interior and an espresso martini to die for, you’ll never be disappointed by your experience. With a carefully selected menu, you’ll never want to ask for alternatives, each plate and drink will fulfil your deepest hunger. I’ve been twice now to Frequency cafe, both times on a Friday as a evening experience and Justo has always been more than accommodating. A great place for a private event, holding up to 25 people. If your looking for a relaxed, chilled, hip evening with a splash of sophistication, you would be silly not to make Frequency the cafe of your evening. Thanks Justo for your hospitality, you’ve made our time one to never forget, and no doubt we’ll be coming again!
R. S.
Best coffee and experience in Kings x hands down. I live locally. Forget caravan. This place has standard pricing but it’s very high quality and delivered with passion. My FW oat is made perfectly every time and always with a smile.
The owner works his magic across so many areas. It’s more than a coffee shop. The empanadas are from London’s best Emp. resto and are made daily and fresh. My kids are addicted to them. They do killer cocktails in the evening. I know espresso martinis and there one is one of the best in London. The wine is well chosen even his books are cool. Venue is calm and welcoming. Every product is carefully selected. But if you just want a coffee and somewhere to escape for 5 mins go here. Ask the owner about the galactic chicken...(art skills 💥)
P. M.
Great coffee and lovely staff. For those of you into artisan coffee’s, drips and aero press this is the place for you! Not the cheapest in town, but worth every penny.
C. M.
Forget the terrible chains Starbucks, Preta and the like. If you want beautiful coffee with artisan textured milk and great food this is the place. If you don't know what you're missing maybe it's time to expand the palate. London isn't renown for good coffee but frequency and its hip baristas are changing this one cup at a time. You won't find a grande caramel latte here but even the most average meat and 2 veg Joe's will appreciate the quality. See what coffee is like in Australia. Cheers!
T. W.
Had a really good and interesting V60. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner who is happy to chat about coffee and explain how he roasts his own beans. Will definitely be coming back.
M.
We popped in to Frequency this (Sunday) afternoon. It was buzzing for a Sunday in King's Cross! The atmosphere is fab. The coffee is great! And, without even being asked the owner kindly made my daughter a warm milk drink (I refuse to say b-a-b-y-c-c-i-n-o) which was incredibly thoughtful! A super spot, just around the corner from Gagosian on Britannia Street. Well worth a visit! :-)
F. A.
A sanctuary in an area characterised by chains, the coffee is really good served with friendly service, the owner is an amicable chaps who knows his thing. Worth the visit
J. G. B.
I love this place. It's around the corner from my work and the guy who owns it is lovely. Always has great music playing. I'm yet to try their tapas and wine nights from Tuesday to Thursday, but I bet they are great.
M. Y.
Exceptional coffee, Matteo is truly awesome. Remembers your order, just the way you like it. Always quick, fresh and the coffee is just a amazing.
M. M.
Amazing little coffee shop! The owner and barista are really friendly. Fair prices and everything tasted great! Free WiFi and great ambiance to just chill or get some work done.
J. W.
Very good coffee. On Tuesdays they serve aperetivo from 5 pm to 7 pm. So you get a free tapa with any drink you buy. The bartender/Battista was very friendly too. Will go again
J. T.
A hidden gem of the London coffee scene. The team create a welcoming environment, and the coffee is as good as you would find in the mecca of coffee Melbourne. Worth the walk if you are in the Kings Cross area.
O. D.
Smooth latte without losing the coffee to the milk! Didn't need any sugar. It was a lovely pit stop on the way to work, and pleasant engaged conversation too, such a humanising way to start the day when London gets cold and dark and a reminder of why I would happily pay more (though you don't have to here, prices were competitive) to support and visit good places like this over the institutionalising coffee chains you see spread so widely. If you've been to other local places like Brill on Exmouth Market then this place is side by side with them and worth the trip.
C. V.
Attended for an evening event - friendly staff, warm and cosy place to enjoy a beverage. Additionally, I left my scarf behind and the owner arranged for it to be posted back to me. Enough said.
A. C.
A relaxed little spot a stone's throw away from the frenetic core of King's Cross. A narrow yet calibrated menu of drinks and bar snacks in a smart and clean environment. It may ultimately lack any real defining features but perfect for a catch up with a friend or a solo tipple
J. D.
Great coffee and good vibes
D. B.
Lovely place with great coffee. You also get a free coffee when you buy a bag of beans which is a nice touch.
N. C.
One of my favourite coffee spots in London. Fantastic flat white, great staff, slick interior with cosy tables.
W. R.
Whether you visit during Summer or Winter, Frequency absorbs the cadence of King's Cross perfectly, brushing up against Clerkenwell within a stone's throw of Gagosian on Britannia Street. Its industrial interiors made of untreated wood are calming, and kombucha and salads have made their way to a refrigerated area, ideal for healthy take-out. Owner Justo is often on site and has taken the leap with an alcohol license and the stocking of the coffee bar with a healthy selection of fine wine and local beer - meet him at any hour!
D. C.
Frequency = attention to detail. The interior decoration is clean, bright and warm. The coffee is excellent, it's the presentation of the coffee that left a lasting positive impression.
S. M.
Great coffee and friendly staff! Editing to add, if it was possible to give a second 5 star review I would.
콩.
People are lovely and coffee is amazing as well
E. R. M.
Really small coffee house serving beans from Guatemala that the owner imports and roasts himself. Good coffee, food and cakes at Standard London prices
A. A.
Fantastic place that, from the outside doesn't look like much however well worth a visit.
Crack staff with a great menu (I wont spoil the surprise) and brilliant staff to boot!
Go check them out...
