Reviews of Froth & Rind

A nice little coffee shop in Walthamstow Village that serves great coffee and a variety of different toasties. They have amazing cakes; I had the carrot cake which was delicious... They also display pictures that are for sale at the back.

There were too many kids in this place to enjoy the time there. I don't hate children but when they are screaming in every single direction around you it's hard to think straight. Very friendly staff and nice coffee. I'm not a big cheese fan so the rest of the menu is hard for me to evaluate. :)
C. R.
The food is amazing and the staff are really really nice. I go in there for coffee as well which is great!
M. V. C.
Great selection of cheeses. Lovely to have a local shop with such quality products
J. C.
I have ordered twice from here and both times the delivery and produce is top class, packaged well and with lots of cool packs. The wealth of cheese and the knowledge, as well as customer service about things like storage and prolonging the life of the cheese is second to none. I just wish I lived near, or ideally in the shop!

I'm an unashamed cheese lover and this place is heaven to me. Takeaway only at the moment with covid restrictions, today I nipped in and ordered a coffee and a blue cheese and fig chutney toastie. It was so good! I look forward to a time when I can sit in and enjoy more of the same.
P. H.
Nice staff. okay coffee. Toastie's seem to be their main stay. I've had some levley cheeses at Christmas from these guys. Would be ace if they updated the interior a bit.

Incredible cheese toasties. My god, seriously great. Just go and have one! We had the hangover and Raclette and both were incredible. Also great coffee!

Simply the best coffee+food spot in E17. End of story.
Any other coffee in town will taste of engine oil afterwards.
L. T.
The BEST cheese toasties you can imagine, as well as a small but perfectly formed selection of cheese to buy at the counter, deli goods (blueberry and chilli jam - yum), crackers, pastries and other yummy things. Good coffee too!
N. G.
Lovely staff! Super helpful and informative....and my god the cheese is insanely delicious!!! Highly recommend asking them to throw in some curve ball recommendations as they were my favourites. The charcuterie meats and the jams were also exquisite. Great cheese shop!!
R. B.
Visited on a day when they were very busy trying to manage people collecting hampers as well as a queue for takeaway. Had to wait quite a long time to be served, and the queue managing was maybe a bit brusque. A bit on the expensive side as well, but the toastie was so tasty!

Friendly, great food. Lovely experience
R. D.
Great place for a coffee, but also have a great selection of craft beers. The really hero however is the cheese counter. Brilliant. Staff are lovely and always happy to talk you through and even give cheeky little samples!
T. R.
I would like just to say what wonderful cheeses they were delicious!
Excellent customer service, I had arranged to pick up my order from the shop but was unable to do so, so they kindly delivered!!!

Quaint family run coffee and cheese cafe. Homely vintage decor serving a range of cakes as well as a full menu of cheese toasties. A range of premium cheeses can also be purchased here. If you are not fond of the smell of cheese, outside seating is available and is perfect when the sun is out.

Waitress seemed to have attitude about service should be more welcoming as there are a load of coffee shops next door?!
Would not go again.

I have been to Froth & Rind many times as I work in the area as nanny, so this is a nice child friendly café. The staff are smiley, friendly and they are quick serving you. Usually I come around in the afternoon for coffee and sometimes I end up taking ciders and wines home. I need to come back with my husband to try the cheese!
T. S.
Great cheese selection and coffees. Would recommend the Roger cheddarer and a flat white.

Let me set the scene. Sunday Afternoon, gone for the longest walk with the misses. Ends up pouring down with rain, im talking cats and dogs. Im soaked to the bone, walking home with one thought in my mind. A nice gooey toastie with a cuppa, and i got to say it met all expectations and beyond.

Recently renovated cheese shop and café that serves excellent coffee, cheese toasties, and a range of deli items and wine. A great new addition to Orford Rd and quite spacious so good for families. Really friendly staff (who are very passionate about cheese!)

One of my favourite snack spots in Walthamstow! The speciality here is cheese toasties. It's genius really as you can't go wrong with a good toastie. Try the Roger Federer, cheese and chorizo. Yum yum! Can get busy on a weekend, and get packed with buggies!
J. J.
Well laid out and Covid safe. Very helpful staff. Good coffee and doughnuts!
O. T.

Feels very much like being in someone's living room but with an amazing selection of cheeses from all over the place plus a constant supply of interesting beers. I especially like that they're tolerant of children.
S. P.
Never visited in person, but cheese orders from the website are great. They deliver locally for free and the offcuts are great value.
N. M.
Great little cafe and good coffee plus the best cheese. Wish they had more breakfast/lunch options than just pastries
A. C.
I love this place. On the top of our charming Walthamstow Village. Great coffee and pastries, delicious toasties... A lovely little gem walking distance from the station.
H. C.
Great coffee. Great atmosphere. Can go for coffee then move to a wine or beer with some yummy cheeses on the side. One of my favourite spots!
L. N.
Incredible, delicious toastie. Can’t wait to go back once lockdown is over and buy some cheese!
J. R.
the cheese toasties are all mine. don't think of ordering a classic unless you're with me. no doubt terrible for the waistline but great for my mood!
K. H.
The toasties are delicious. They stuff them full of cheese and other things and the atmosphere is very chilled.
k. B.
A friend arranged for these guys to send a nice order of British cheese during lockdown! That made me soooo happy!!! Love some local business!!!
A. C.
Great cheese toasties and coffee! Lovely staff and atmosphere. Recommend the classic cheddar and onion chutney toastie!

This is one of my favourite places - a quirky little café in the heart of Walthamstow Village that can make proper coffee (i.e., flat white) - Aussies and Kiwis take note!!
D. R.
Pros: some decent cheeses, chutneys and beers. Cons: cheeseboard came with wheat bread only - no oatcakes or crackers, and no gluten-free option.
A. E.
They make a good coffee and the food smells great. Unfortunately they can't feed coeliacs though :(
A. W.
Really friendly place and although it seems pricey at first, the cheese sandwiches are amazing!!! Mmm I want one now actually!

Ok for coffee. Dingy back room but attentive staff made up for that. Less "up itself" than the rest of Orford Road these days!
