Really nice coffee spot. Very calming and full of Scandinavian and boho design. Even the glasses are super chick with the soft drink! Nice wooden furniture and good selection of high quality coffee and beverages. I went for the spicy Mexican sandwich with avocado. It was pretty okay. Very good quality sourdough bread. This place is good for vegans! Worth a visit if you need a lighter lunch or a coffee break from the greasy spoon cafes around the area!

Really loved the cafe and their iced V60 (bought their ground coffee to try at home but couldn’t compete with the barista’s technique)! A good place to enjoy coffee peacefully. My only concern was they didn’t have enough time to clean when it was busy so the table was a bit sticky, also there were flies around the seat. Would give 5* if they can improve hygiene condition!

Cozy place, perfect for studying or revising for exams as they have spacious tables, free Wi-Fi and plugs for chargers. I had a lovely americano with a vegan croissant (the first one I’ve ever tried) it was delicious. The staff was nice too, welcoming and joyful. One thing…the music can be a bit distracting so I suggest to bring your headphones.

Great atmosphere and, more importantly, great coffee; I had to have a second espresso since the first was so good. Baristas were passionate and friendly, and the food was great too. I really enjoyed the bruschetta, and their baked goods are excellent. Great place for people with plant based diets to eat and drink.

There are at least 5 other cafés within a block radius, but what makes Gecko stand out is attention to quality. Once, my reusable cup was cold, so they asked if they could heat it with warm water so my coffee wouldn’t get cold as quickly. Another time, they realised the coffee wasn’t brewed to their standards and would’ve been more bitter, so they redid it. The staff are also super nice, and the music is great for focusing on work. I only wish they had a loyalty card because of how often I go!

Went for a sit-down V60 coffee, there are plenty of choices. Great atmosphere, spacious and brightly lit shop. More space down the steps and great place to do a little work. Has WiFi. Only down side is that we waited at least 20min for the coffee. Quite a lot of people.

Happened to pass by and walked in when I saw they were vegan and had croissants. The coffee and croissants were absolutely incredible. I’ve never had a better buttery vegan croissant 🥐 also looks like a really cute place to come do some work or catch up with friends

Came here for a brunch. The food was amazing - avocado toast which I think must've had white balsamic or something similar - tasted absolutely incredible. Also had the carrot cake which is the best I've ever had - very moist & nicely spiced.

Beautiful coffee (finally a decaf coffee that doesn't taste like tar exists!) and delish vegan and GF food in East London, highly recommend the acai bowl, avo on toast and all sweet snacks on offer (ALL of them). Like walking into an oasis in Shoreditch, v comfortable furnishings (essential), laptop friendly, and lovely staff all round. 💜The tunes are also wonderful, not a tinny cover track to heard (electronic music heads in particular will appreciate this). Glad London has a new fantastic independent biz on the SCENE. 💚✨

Chicest coffee shop in East London. Decor/atmosphere trendy but functional and great selection of coffee, tea, mate, pastries. As a long time Shoreditch resident, I’ve always wished there was somewhere I could just hang and have a coffee or meet friends or take my laptop and work there - this place is all of those things. A warm and welcomed new establishment; no doubt others will agree.

Such a cute and cosy place. We were welcomed with "How can we make your day better?", Which was a good start! We took 2 acai bowls, oats milk coffee and chai and it was very satisfying and yummy. I highly recommend a sit-relax-time here :) #plant based #vegan
