Reviews of Gino's Coffee Bar

Superb cafe ideal if you are in the Baker Street area, especially if you have a wait for a train from Marylebone. Authentic 20th century decor. Fast friendly service and good value tasty food given location.

The staff is really good. We took bacon sandwiches and coffee. The service is quick and the prices are good. A good place also to take food and drinks for the way. A good place for breakfast, really close to the underground station.
D. S.
Great local atmosphere in this little café overlooking the entrance to Marylebone station! The staff is friendly, the prices and food options are good.. really nice place to kill time before a train arrives or to meet a friend for coffee or a little snack.
D. H.
Delicious food and fantastic service.
But I just wanted to thank the waiter who realised that I had left my tea behind and ran after me all the way onto the train at Marylebone to hand it to me.
Now that’s what I call service!!!!!

Really great food, I ordered spaghetti Napoli and found it to be the best I’ve tried in London! Great atmosphere, staff are very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend for those looking for somewhere to eat near Marylebone.
S. S.
I tried the traditional breakfast (option A). It was edible and filling, but unimpressive. It’s something you’d make at home with cheaper ingredients and not a lot of trying. The general vibe is quite nice actually, but the food is what matters.
A. r. m.
Awesome and abundant breakfast, a chilled atmosphere and very reasonable prices considering the area. Friendly and nice staff. Will definitely go again.
J. T. C.
Surely a nice place to stop before getting a train at Marylebone station. Super friendly staff, good products, breakfast serve all day with a nice touch of italian warm cuisine. The ambiance is simple but clean and the prices are accordingly. Don’t miss the sandwiches made a la minute based on your taste.

Came here as it's just a short walk from Marylebone Station because I didn't want to pay for an overprices coffee inside the station. Gino's is a typical British and Italian cafe style food. I only got a latte though. It tasted meh, perhaps I should've paid for the overpriced coffee after all.
Can't fault the staff though, who were friendly.
Q. C.
I love this place. Whenever I eat here I am never disappointed. Staff are delightful, food is very tasty. Although the space is quite small it is a very clean establishment. All types of people eat here. Everyone seems to enjoy their food. Conversations overheard are extremely entertaining. Staff are very attentive. If you are ever in Marylebone, do not pass this place. Today I had a salad, it was worth every penny/pound spent!
V. M.
Nice and quick service of food but it really wasn't nice to see the guy at the front shouting and swearing at the waitress (Maria?) who is doing her best. The other gentleman at the front was nice
l. n.
My all time favourite place in London. Simply the best: the loveliest people preparing tasty food which fills me up.
J. M.
Not even the painfully cheery gents who run this place can disguise the fact it's a huge ripoff. Seven quid for a small breakfast of poor poor quality, and when you realise the order includes bread and butter and not toast they have no problems charging the extra £1.50 for two slices of bread. I love supporting independent business but not when they basically rob me. The guys are friendly though.
L. T.
Proper old skool cafe. I had 30 minutes to kill before a train and these guys gave me a warm welcome and turned around a great vegetarian breakfast in under 5 minutes. Tea was was, strong and served in a wholesomely large mug. I was ready for a day of meetings but equally ready to go and plaster a room or fit a kitchen. A+

Stopped for quick breakfast before catching a train from Marylebone. I wish we'd found this place earlier in the week. Great food and service. Wonderful staff and ideal location. Will be back next time we're in London
M. M.
A lovely friendly place. Service is quick and the food is great. A wonderful change from the standard chains. As I sat having breakfast everyone that came in was greeted like an old friend.

A great start to a visit to London. It's just across the road from Marylebone Railway Station. We had a full English breakfast here which was excellent as was the coffee. A busy little place with reasonably priced meals.
M. Z.
Delicious food but scary atmosphere especially when witnessing at first hand the owner unleashing his passionate wrath to a poor waitress who made a mistake with sending out an order. Now she stumbles across the shop to each customers table in agony and despair as she checks our order number to find some form of justification for her error in hopes to prevent making the same error (or place the blame on a customer for not realizing they've gotten the wrong food kek)
s. h.
Great little cafe close to the station. The coffee and food are excellent.
L.
Popped in with mum at the end of our short break- wish we’d come in earlier now as the food was delicious and piping hot and coffees were out almost before I’d even paid! Incredibly friendly service, will definitely be coming back! Thank you!
D. S.
Great place for good quality food at very inexpensive prices. We enjoyed a breakfast here and service was quick and staff polite and attentive to cleanliness.
A. O.
I've been going to this place for over 16 years now; can't believe this is my 1st review of this wonderful cafe! Cannot rate this place high enough! Quality, quality, quality makes it extremely good value-for-money!! The friendly staff will keep you entertained. When this place is packed & buzzing, you won't wanna leave! Many-a-traveller to Marylebone have been pleasantly surprised at the discovery of this place just outside the station!
H. E.
Delicious food and a great cappuccino. Highly recommended this cafe
A. M.
I've been coming to Gino's for nearly 5 years and still love the food and the staff, they make everything fresh in front of you and always greet everyone with a warm welcome. I never get bored of coming here, great place to eat and relax. Highly recommend!
M. W.
Very good English breakfasts overseen by the moustachioed Italian owner.
H. G.
Across from Marylebone Train Station, this little café serves wholesome food to regulars and travelers alike. Take it away, eat in or have a seat on the patio under the awning. Quality straight forward old school diner food, reasonably priced to accommodate any budget, quick service and hot coffee. If you know of a better place, I'd be surprised. I sat and had two lovely coffees for over an hour and heard only happy greetings, well wishing and praises for the food just eaten.

I’ve been to London 3 days and all these days I enjoyed traditional english breakfast. It’s the best place in London as for breakfast. If you want to eat delicious breakfast for good money-it’s the best place for you.Staff so friendly. When you start to speak with them your mood grow up!There’re 4 different king of traditional breakfast and in each breakfast includes tea or coffee.Really comfortable, you don’t need to pay additional money for it. Average price for breakfast 6 £.Thanks a lot for such delicious breakfast!!!
S. D.
Great coffee but the pastry I ordered was stale. I commend management because even though the cashier didn't want to exchange my item, management immediately told him to get me a different pastry. I had breakfast here every day before heading out. The hot ham and cheese croissant was very good.
T. G. S. G.
Great greasy-spoonish cafe with excellent rapid takeaway options at cheaper prices than in the station.
P. C.
The place to go for Chiltern line commuters for a decent fry up that doesn't cost the earth. The proprietor ensures the food is served quickly and of a high quality. There is a good selection of breakfast treats to choose from. Seating can be at a premium especially Fridays but it is worth the wait or take your breakfast to go!
k. h.
Extremely popular little coffee bar. Great service and very friendly staff. The food was prepared to order as opposed to buffet style it was lovely and hot and all served with a smile. The owner has a great personality and the staff appeared to enjoy their work. I would highly recommend a Gino breakfast to start your day. What a find! 😁
D. W.
Fab breakfast before boarding a train to Brum. So much better than anything from the chains. Very handy location, swift and friendly service. Lots of choice too. Great cup of tea.
S. D.
Real good local deli. Cheap, really good service, and is fully run. Closed on Sundays.
G. D.
Great little coffee shop near Marylebone Station. Inexpensive but good meals, sandwiches, cakes, coffee. Good place to meet and even for business conversations. There are many other cafes and restaurants in the area but this one provides a quieter environment than many. Used to meet people in the Landmark hotel but the mezzanine had become noisier in the last few years and is, as you might expect, very expensive with a per person minimum of 15 pounds.
T. H.
A fantastic old school place for breakfast and a warm welcome. Extraordinarily fast service. Does all the essentials and does them very well. Hard to find a cafe like this in central London these days.
I. A.
Great Cafe, loved the breakfast sandwich and service.
J. F.
Probably the best café in London. The manager is a real character. Food is delivered incredibly quickly - it is good quality and cheap. Plenty of regulars (including black cab drivers) - this is always a sign of terrific quality and value. Why eat at the overpriced concessions in Marylebone Station when this terrific café is 20 seconds across the road?
M. F.
Just went in for a coffee. But exceptional friendly service. Quicker delivery to table than in most chain coffee shops. Food looked good. Will always go there in preference to the chain across the road in Marylebone station.
P. C.
Always come here when get the chance. Great little cafe with seating inside and out as well as the option to take out. Friendly and speedy service. Good selection on the menu, great coffee, clean and reasonably priced.
N. P.
Able to Russell up spaghetti napoli and chips in a few minutes. Spaghetti sauce tasty and spaghetti Al dente. Very clean very friendly. My companion loved the vegetable soup.

Always stop off at Gino's for tea & sausage rolls when in the area very friendly personal service.
Good good food and drink. Have recommended Gino's.

Part of a dying breed of central London cafes. Cheap prices, huge portions and staff who seem happy to be there (including the guy with the tremendous moustache). If you have time to kill at or near the station you could do a lot worse than come here. The takeaway prices are even cheaper. Worth missing a train for.
J. N.
If you're at Marylebone station in the morning and looking for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich to go, then do yourself a favour and go here rather than one of the chain coffee/baguette/pasty/fast food places inside the station.
The brilliant staff here can somehow manage to put together a freshly made sausage or bacon sarnie and a cappuccino and still have you on your way faster than places in the station where they've got them pre-made and sitting under a hot lamp.
M. M.
What a lovely little café. Family run and much better than the chains in the station. The staff are really friendly. Americano coffee was quality and tasty and less than £2 for a sit in drink. Loved the giant Eccles cake. Tasty and nicely spiced.
R. H.
This coffee shop is located just outside Marylebone Railway Station and must be the fastest serving cafe anywhere. Order a coffee and a bacon sandwich at the counter and they'll be with you in seconds rather than minutes! Excellent sandwich too.
S. M.
A charming cafe just opposite Marylebone station (itself one of the nicest stations in London!!) and serving a good range of sandwiches and meals. A nice selection of seats with tables or you can sit up on high stools at the windows. A family run business, I think, with cheery staff and good value fare!
P. S.
Solid fry up. Quick, polite and clean. Can confirm high quality sausage, bacon and black pudding. Tea also on point. Stop reading and get over there. My new go to for a fry up.
S. S.
This place is absolutely excellent in every way. Price is reasonable and you will definitely not leave hungry. Staff are 100% excellent and service is fast. And to top it off, the man who I'm guessing is the owner has the best moustache EVER.... 👍
S. V.
Gino's. One of the hazards of ordering coffee is that the taste of the product differs massively between cafes. I dislike bitter coffee, and dearly wish Starbuck had stuck to whaling. Gino, albeit named after an imaginary Italian, provides the mild yet flavoursome coffee for which I have scoured the world in vein. The student, design oriented atmosphere also appeals, having lost my own aesthetic sensibilities in a childhood accident, I find the life of Ravensbourne exhilarating, and where else best to support the artistic milieu than Gino's, right by the university front door?
D. W.
Look forward to our breakfast on our visits to London. Really good food and excellent value. Always quisk service from super staff. A real value for money place to visit
A. H.
Great little cafe. The set breakfasts are top notch. Will definitely come back.
G. D.
Absolutely the best cafe in London. Generous portions, reasonably priced and very clean. Please ignore the bad reviews, written by haters. Gino's is simply the best!
W. R.
My office is around the corner and I’ve been coming here once or twice a week for well over a year. It’s friendly and reasonably priced, and I can’t believe how quickly they can rustle up a perfect cheese and mushroom omelette.
T. C.
Nice wee cafe, very nice staff, lovely simple food, always make it a point to go for my breakfast when in London when down from Glasgow, looking forward to going back
G. L.
Quick service, very friendly polite staff. Good choice of menu. Well worth a visit. Very small place but seating inside a little tight. Food is good
M. K.
Great staff, owner walks the shop floor, makes sure things ticking over. You feel your custom is appreciated. Menu covers the basics and all good quality
A. Y.
Pit stop on the way back from partying all night in Hackney; Gino was a most amenable host & provided an absolutely perfect all day veggie breakfast & yummy latte; just what the doctor ordered 👍😁💖
B. H. B.
Asked for a tea to go. The lady was very annoyed I'm paying with a card. Then gave me a cup with a lid with no hole so I kindly asked if she could give me the one that I can actually drink the tea with. Kinda threw it on the counter and left doing whatever she was doing.
I. w.
Had breakfast here two days in a row. Great food, great prices and great atmosphere. Will definately be back next time I'm in London.
P.

Great value breakfast special. Traditional English breakfast, Italian service. What’s not to like! 50 yards from the station to escape generic franchises. Ottimo!
M. C.
Great traditional cafe.. Friendly and good food / portions. Even made up a vegan breakfast for us 💚
F. D.
Gino is the friendliest man you will ever come across. Puts a smile on my face in the mornings. Great way to start the day. Fantastic service and good food.
M. T.
Given the current situation, the service, food was to a very good standard and for its location I would say great value for money.
D. H.
Very friendly staff. Nice cup of tea at £1.20
A. R.
Wonderful service, fast and very friendly. Great food - I'd definitely recommend getting here rather than the multitude of chain cafes in the station!
M. S.
Quite an old school cafe/greasy spoon. Best place to grab a breakfast if you have an early train from Marylebone. The owner is super cheery, and seems to know almost everyone that goes in there.
E. B.
Ginos is amazing. He cares, is friendly and even asks how is your Mother. Service is pure and the food is classic to what you expect

Best 'caff' in london and perfect when waiting for your train. Had my veggie brekkie this morning. Friendly place too!
J. B.
Nip out of Marylebone station, and across the street for a much faster and tastier breakfast than on the train or in the station. Remember to keep hold of your numbered ticket to get your order.
D. T.
