Reviews of Half Cup
T. W.
Very lively place and staff were chirpy and courteous! Coffee was good. Matcha slice was delicious but would be even better if the sugar content can be reduced? *guilty pangs after eating*
H. S. (.
Such lovely food and lovely staff! The weather was bad today but they would check up on us, keep us updated with the seats (walk-in only) and made the table quickly for us. The food tasted brilliant & looked beautiful too. Only criticisms are that the place is small and I wish it was a bit brighter inside. Would come back again!
K. S.
One of the best brunch spots in the area. Great quality of food and coffee, but be prepared to queue for at least 30 mins if you are planning to visit here on weekends
S.
Well presented meals with quality ingredients. Decent and delicious portions, perfectly cooked runny eggs.
Matcha, chai and hot chocolate arrived beautifully arranged and were thoroughly enjoyed, as was the coffee. Although the gorgeous little spoons not so practical.
Service was good. Looking foward to returning when nearby.
M. L.
When you've eaten your way through the different franchises, it was heaven to discover Half Cup. Quality ingredients nicely arranged on the plate. We tried their full english breakfast, breakfast bun, chicken and waffle and oreo french toast and they were all delicious. The atmosphere is nice and cosy and the service very friendly. Great place 👍
S. R.
lovely brunch place! staff is really friendly and helpful, and food is delicious. got the avo toast - not your average avo toast, probably the nicest I've ever had - and a salted caramel white russian cocktail, which was fantastic, even for someone who doesn't usually love coffee. very nicely decorated as well. the only downside is that they currently don't take reservations and so the queue to get in gets pretty long...worth it though, in my opinion. can't wait to go back
N.
Oreo French Toast is a bit too sweet but delicious. Coffee was okay. Wait time is around 30-40 mins for a Sunday Brunch.
Q. W.
The Oreo french toast was amazing, surprisingly not too sweet when paired with the Nutella cream. Was perfect with a cup of coffee. The hash Benedict with cured ham was so tasty too. Would definitely want to come back soon! Waited half an hour on a Saturday afternoon (around 12:30), it was worth it!
E. L.
The half cup is a lovely cafe on a side street near St Pancreas Station, it has a little outside seating and a good amount of indoor seating. I loved the interior design. The coffee was fantastic, as was the mocha cheesecake brownie. Lovely friendly staff too.
R. F.
Great service and lovely food. We had a fantastic breakfast here. Even though we were a group of 10, they brought the food and drinks quickly and it was all great quality.
Only reason for dropping a star was that it's a bit expensive and they did not have any decaf coffee available. Otherwise, great place!
H. P.
Amazing brunch cafe! Healthy and good quality. I got the poched eggs with sourdough and added avocado! The sourdough was buttered and it tastes really good. Also the vegan english breakfast was nice. The halloumi cheese was yum :) The place was clean and the location was good.
V. L.
Fantastic. Absolutely delicious mocha and really scrummy brunch. The kitchen opens after the cafe itself but it's a very nice place to wait. Really lovely staff as well. Highly recommended.
T.
Had a cappuccino with chocolate sprinkles. Good coffee, medium depth. I would say neutral hints of zest, not full bodied. Whilst waiting, on observation the food that customers were eating looked amazing, and well presented.
J. S.
Delicious options at a reasonable price. Not a huge fan of the Oreo French toast but that could be because we left it untouched until we finished our mains (which were very good!).
p. s.
Had buttermilk pancakes and a latte, very delicious! The staffs, especially Lily, were lovely and quick. Glad I went there.
J. H.
what a great neighborhhod spot, so cute and cozy, nice people and we had a fantastic breakfast there. We're visiting for 2 more weeks and this will be a go-to for us. Can't speak to the coffee 'cuz we were already a few cups in when we ran across this spot. We had the mushrooms on toast with a perfewctly fried egg and delicious watercress pesto. Loved it! Excellent bacon as well. And all the other food we saw go by looked tasty too. Go!
E.
Lovely presentation, tastes great too! Ordered there as well and staff were really thoughtful with packaging, making sure that nothing would spill on the way.
S. A.
Fantastic food and excellent service, had to wait a little for a table on the weekend, but that’s expected for any half decent place.
A. P.
Gorgeous and exquisite place, the prices are fair and they make one of the best cakes I ever tried wirh pineapple and ginger !! Been here twice already, there is usually a bit of wait and it is better to come with a smaller party as they only have one table for more than 4 people.
The murals are beautiful, and i tried the full english and benedict eggs on hashbrowns (soo much better than on bread!) both were perfect. The matcha is good too, only the chai was not my favourite as it is more of a spicy infusion with milk than a real indian chai! But thats is a minor detail!
Looking forward to come again!

Stylish brunch spot at a good price in Kings X ~~ Really good coffee & menu is always changing. Amazing food, super fresh, and nice, cosy seating for groups
N. V.
This cafe is absolutely amazing. We went with the idea of ordering 2 dishes and came out ordering 4. Quality and delivery were on point. Chai was very tasty. Highlights of the 4 dishes were the poached eggs, duck eggs, truffle oil, crispy bacon, lemon drizzle and much more! Such a gem of a place. Highly recommend a visit.
L. W.
One of my favourite brunch places in Bloomsbury! I’ve been here a fair few times now and it never disappoints. Most recently I had the Veg Half Cup Full English and we shared the Oreo French Toast. Staff are friendly and attentive, looking forward to visiting again soon to try out the new menu!
P. T.
Was the wait worth it? 🤔
At least 30 mins queuing on the pavement for our party of 4. Several couples were seated much quicker.
Great communication from staff while waiting giving accurate updates and empathetic apologies.
Ultimately, the food, atmosphere and service made the wait feel ok. Full English was fine tuned so very close to perfection.
Seasoning on the roasted tomato and mushroom was the stand out flavor.
The Matcha latte was a wonderful comforting flavor and texture, giving warmth and calmness. Sounds hippie, but try it and see.
The only draw back is the condiments as ketchup and brown sauce were out of keeping with the rest of the experience. Seemed like cheap supermarket product. But this is very minor in context of the rest.
Be prepared to wait and enjoy this lovely cafe.

One of my best breakfast that was i ate , that's what i can say about this coffee ❤️❤️❤️.
M. M.
Went here for a birthday brunch and it was delicious!
E. A.
Brilliant place for brunch, don't be put off by the qué as it soon goes down.
Food is lovely and the coffee is amazing too. Staff are super helpful and friendly.
S.
Delicious food, I recommend the Full English Breakfast 👌
Lovely staff
S. K.
The staff is very polite.
The best thing about the place is its vibe and it's perfect for working and chilling out.
I recommend to order the carrot cake it was delicious
M. M.
Chai tea latte was great! Good to see that they make their own blend of chai. It gets busy but I would say it’s worth the wait.
M.
Taste good. All ingredients are fresh and well seasoned but nothing surprised us. Taste more like homemade food. “Pink Dream” is quite a small cup for £4 without VAT, looks very beautiful, and taste OKAY. Service is great. Need to queue up for a bit but not waiting too long. Over all, good for visit once but we won’t return.
E.
Food was delicious, they had gluten free chicken and waffles! But not a full five stars as there was hidden charges. They charged me one full pound for the smallest cup of hot water (three sips to be exact). Not tea as I had already purchased that, but hot water 😅
E. H.
Hands down, probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. It was so, so delicious! Also, the menu offers plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options and the drinks list is extensive. I got the Oreo-raspberry french toast and mulled rapple (which is a ginger-apple-raspberry drink that’s heavy on the ginger) and it was divine. I will try to recreate the dish at home.
The staff are SO nice and helpful, and it’s just a really great place to catch something to eat. Food comes quickly, and even when it’s filled with people it isn’t that noisy. Such a lovely place.
A. M.
Loved the sweet corn pancakes and fabulous coffee. They have a few tables outdoors and chilled vibe inside.
K. M.
Great chance to have a perfectly brewed cup of coffee within easy distance of Kings Cross and St Pancras. Table service if you sit down which is good and a good menu of breakfast items. I had the poached eggs and sourdough toast which was good.
The coffee was excellent. Milk just right - nice and creamy and the coffee smooth and rounded.
It’s got a semi industrial/street art feel and is a good place to sit and chill for a while.
A.
Very nice brunch location. I’ve been here several times for coffee and brunch, I’ve never been disappointed. The Full English is very nice if you want to try a bit of everything. And there’s also a vegetarian option. My favorite pastry is the carrot cake, I would definitely recommend the place. Be careful on weekend, you’ll need to queue for a bit.
R. C.
Stopped in on a whim. Emily was very sweet and attentive of our needs, and the food was amazing. Wuz Bussin.
B. B.
This place is totally worth the wait (usually is quite crowded during the weekend, but the queue moves fast). The coffee and tea options are great, but the best is their food options!
Perfect for brunch, their colorful dishes come in big servings. Also, the waiters were friendly and fast, willing to acommodate in case there are food allergies or preferences. There are vegetarian options.
We met a super nice waitress that helped us a lot with the new changes in the menu! Thanks for all, Laura!
(Edit: Not in the menu anymore) Highly recommended: the banana bread loaf with espesso-mascarpone w/ pecan nuts. Simple, tasty, not oversweet and well balanced flavours.
J. D.
The Cafe was awesome, and the food was fantastic. The seats filled up quite quickly after opening, and it became a bustling spot, but retained a cozy feel. A fair amount of seating options, good variety of food, and the service was great. Definitely recommend!
J. B.
Good!
I'll be going back to try the oreo pancakes that the couple beside us got!
C. O.
My first time here despite living in the area for six years and would definitely return. Queuing seems quite common but this was managed well and can only be a good sign. Food was very nice, I had trouble choosing between all the tempting sounding options. Think someone in the kitchen knows what they’re doing. Very well presented too. Service was good too so what more can you ask for.
R.
I went an hour before closing and it was packed so I can imagine if you came for brunch you’d have to queue. Having said that I really enjoyed the atmosphere, coffee and carrot cake were delicious and I recommend sharing the cake as the slices are huge. It’s also a good place to do work!
R. S.
Best brunch/breakfast place in London. Everything they touch is amazing, great drinks (best and most unique tasting Matcha latte I’ve ever had). Food is on another level, best English breakfast I’ve ever had and their lemon hot cakes (which are seasonal) are also amazing so definitely order if they’re on the menu!! We waited about 20 minutes in line for a Sunday brunch, but also came on a Wednesdays and we’re served immediately. Truly can’t emphasize how out of this world the food is!!! My favorite place!!!
F. K. (. M.
What a fantastic place for a quiet cuppa, and a good natter, or to catch up on some work. The place is quiet (I imagine it can get noisy but it wasn't while I was there), neat and 'cool' (I can't think of another word). There's only a limited number of cakes and other stuff to eat but what's available is good. The staff is young, hip and funky and go to great lengths to make you feel comfortable (and satisfied).
Great people. Great place. Highly recommended. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
N.
Very strong cortado.👍🏻
I went there for breakfast, ordered ´Hash Benedict’ was delicious, crispy hash brown, egg wasn’t overcooked.
Staffs were friendly.
Must go there again to try the french toast ❣️
🥰🥰🥰
K. P.
Food was quite nice and the coffee was brewed to almost perfection. The could have done with a tiny bit more tea leaves or stronger leaves but otherwise all was good. Overall I'd give the food 4 stars.
Problem how ever is that I only got a hold and cheese sandwich, that alone costed us £9 which was kinda ridiculous. I added an egg as well, and that was extra £2. So a hand and cheese sandwich for £11 is technical a real rip off and for that I took 1 star off.
C. D. M.
We had a lovely time yesterday at half cup.
The food was delicious and flavorful, well presented and served with a smile.
We had a normal latte with vanilla which was nice and an iced latte.
I recommend the pancakes (add a bit of maple syrup to make it extra) and the croissant. Being French croissants are a big thing for me and this one didn’t disappoint!! I would have made it with fresh goat cheese instead of mayo but overall it was a delicious culinary experience and if I wasn’t on a tight budget during this trip I would definitely have brekkie at yours every morning !!
I love the fact that there isn’t 100 brunch options making it obvious that your food is fresh and you focus on quality over quantity.
Keep up the good work, I will come back !
T. K.
Love it! Top quality and aesthetics! You can’t easily find good coffee in London. Food is also amazing. Top service too!
They only accept walk-ins and it’s usually busy so you might have to wait in a queue but it’s totally worth it!
C. T.
Probably the rudest staff in existence. Extremely loud, crowded and lacks any ventillation whatsoever. On the weekends people spend an hour in queue only to drink overpriced coffee and food that, while tastes good, certainly doesn't justify the price tag. It is best to buy your coffee from Nero or Costa or whatever and then buy the food as takeaway and enjoy your meal in a peace environment without the staff looking at your face to just pay the bill and leave so there are more tables available
G. L.
My favourite place to get brunch in London - it's my go to! I highly recommend going with a friend to split the oreo french toast (this is a MUST have) and any of their seasonal savoury dishes. Love that they are always developing new dishes and that the quality and presentation of food so high especially when you consider the price point.
D. M.
Large, amazing milk mocha with real chocolate sprinkled on top and delicious latte. Excellent, friendly service (like so quick and it was busy!) water on the table as soon as we arrived. Giant food portions and displayed beautifully 😍
C.
Absolutely fantastic place for breakfast/brunch. Delicious menu, different options, gourmet coffee, fresh juices. We had a poached benedict egg toast, the bagels with halloumi and harissa... I was impressed. Nice service, always quite busy , it’s were you realise how good this place is.
P.
We stayed at comfort inn & suites king cross and decide to take a walk and saw this cafe. It’s a nice little quaint cafe and serve really nice breakfast/brunch menu! Coffee was great too! Price is reasonable too! Staff were friendly and helpful! We were at the cafe at around 11pm and was one of the first customer. When we left at around 12:30pm, the cafe was almost full. Highly recommended!
G. H.
The staff here are super nice and service was quick. I has the vegetarian breakfast which was good, if not a little the small side; one mushroom and one spoon of avocado isn't great. The ham and cheese pancakes on the other hand were really big and whilst very delicious, are far too rich for one person. I'd recommend splitting a couple of dishes.
J. S.
ATTENTION, this place is worth the hype. Half Cup is a petit breakfast and early lunch venue near st Pancras. At at present it is a tourist hotspot but Londoners really should start coming back.
The food is great. The breakfast and the tech toast were a hit. The pancake is also good. The portions are a good size so no need to over order... unless you want to.
The best selling point about this place is actually the staff. Friendly, genuine and good at their jobs. The manager of the store on Sunday was super. What an awesome place.
A. A. R.
Wholesome breakfast/brunch. The avocado smash was very good, eggs cooked to my liking and smoked salmon delicious. Oreo French toast was the perfect dessert after the eggs and wasn’t overly sweet. However, Oreo taste is not as prominent as I had expected. Service is quick but it’s sometimes hard to catch the attention of the waiters. All-in-all good place and I’d go again.
L. K.
Nice vibes, great service, but the food is so-so. Serving Ikea-style hash browns on a 12-quid full English feels a little tacky. Come at busy times and expect to wait and/or be shepherded out the door before you've had a chance to put your cutlery down. A good spot for a second date, but not for a languid meals.
E. M.
Absolutely enjoyed out breakfast. I had the oreo french toast which was beautiful to look at but tasted even better. Service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back.
H. A.
Disappointed tbh. The food is overpriced for what it is and uninspiring. There was nothing to differentiate it from any other breakfast place. I would have expected the hash browns and beans to be homemade and not frozen/from a tin. Service was slow and the woman behind the bar was slightly rude
L. B.
My friend took me to this place.
It was raining that day and we had to wait outside around 20 mins .but it was worth it.
My main dish was good... my pouched egg was perfect, the avocados were just right, the bread was exquisite.
My orange juice was lovely and coffee was delicious.
Definitely this place is perfect.
The only bad thing is they rush you quickly to empty the tables and go.
The toilet was clean but is very small
Prices were ok.
O. G.
Excellent coffee (make sure you get the grated chocolate on your cappuccino) and delicious range of brunch food. Big portions and good veggie options. Expect a long queue for weekend brunch, but it's worth it when you get your food!
M. T.
This place is a gem. I found them from the Best Coffee app while I was waiting for a train. Their oat iced mocha was very delish (loved the chocolate scrapes). I also tried their avocado and chicken sandwich as a takeaway. Would recommend 10/10
A. K.
Great spot for all day breakfast and brunch with the best hash browns
C. S.
Very friendly and dedicated service. Loved the cosy interior. Food was good quality but nothing to shout about. Not well seasoned, tasted plain and incoherent. Coffee was decent. Very busy and if you want to stay there for more than an hour to do a bit of work be prepared to be moved around quite a bit.
G. A. L.
I went to this place after reading some online reviews. Was here a Tuesday afternoon, and actually wanted to try the oreo french toast, but kitchen is closed from 3:45 pm, which I didn’t know before, so be advised of that! Anyway, I was already there so I ordered a flat white and a slice of carrot cake. Both really good! The carrot cake was quite special, had a lot of nuts (walnuts I think), and the frosting tastes not too sweet, just creamy and with lota of nuts too! By the time I went it was not crowded at all (tuesday 4pm), so it was very comfy to just sit down, enjoy my cake and coffee while reading a book.
Update: have been there twice again. Oreo French toast: superb. Parma ham pancakes: amazing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.
K. K.
This is a hidden gem. Stumbled upon this along the way as we are researching for breakfast. The breakfast is so far one of the best we had in London, far better than The Breakfast Club. We had the Wild Mushrooms on Toasts, a Croque Madame, and the Butternut Squash & Feta Pancakes with added bacons. Superb comfort food in the morning. Highly recommended
s. g.
Great place we happened upon when walking to the train station. Lovely service and great food. We had the shakshouka, hash brown eggs Benedict, the purple chai and the mulled drink. All great choices! Fast service and lovely atmosphere!
L. S.
Visited this cafe twice for breakfast. Unlike other reviewers, I was seated straight away both times. Menu had a wide range of items, I had a vegetarian breakfast and the bagel with tomato and avocado. Food and service were very good
C. K.
Food looks better that it actually is. It was somewhat average, not bad, but not worth the 1 hour wait. The service was pleasant and efficient but the food itself wasn't hot enough. I think they make the food in batches and spend more time plating the food. My French toast was room temperature and the only thing warm enough on the vegetarian breakfast was the scrambled eggs.
Coffee was good & the food is "Instagrammable" but I wouldn't come back.
L. N.
Prepare to queue!
The menu is straight forward and simple.
Alcohol is served from 12pm.
It is really a shame that my french toast was slightly dry as I loved all elements of the dish! (ripped ricotta cheese was heavenly and sweet which was perfectly balanced with the peach compote). The french toast was surprisingly not heavy at all but still left you satisfied.
My partner opted for the croissant with scrambled eggs and ham which was also very nice and I chose the aubergine on a bed of butter pea mash. Was quite overwhelmingly sweet on its own however eating it with a side of toast will balance it out.
The spoonfuls effortlessly disintegrate in your mouth although I do wish there was more contrast in textures as all elements (except the pomegranate) were quite mush mush.
Wasn't a great hit on that day however definitely hasn't put me off. It's one of those places that you know if all elements were perfectly executed, it would be a marvellous brunch experience!
A. H.
It's unusual to have to queue outside a brunch restaurant on a Friday morning, especially one in the middle of nowhere (in London terms) but once inside you can see why. The service is great, the menu both traditional and radical at the same time, the dishes are a visual and taste experience. People were still queueing on the pavement outside as we left.
D. M.
Fantastic! Loved everything about this place! The location. The ambience. The staff. And most importantly, the food! I ordered a dark chocolate mocha and a veg full english breakfast. The coffee was excellent. And the food was delicious! Every single item on the plate was perfect! I entered right when they opened - 8am on a Sunday. Within 20 mins, they already had a wait list! I was alone so I sat at the window and I loved the fact that I could watch the world go by while having my breakfast. If you're looking for breakfast/brunch in the area, I highly recommend this place!
C. S.
Great place to start our day. Breakfast was awesome, coffee was smooth and the service was brilliant with smiley happy staff. Will definitely be back if in the area again.
K. K.
I have come here for breakfast twice and I absolutely love this place. The staff is super friendly and the food is even better. Be careful though! The açaí bowl is not quite like what we have the US.
A. F.
First time in London and a friend of mine found this spot to eat breakfast! Loved it! The tea was great and I ordered the Avocado toastie! Great spot, lovely staff and cute decor! I highly recommend going there!
R. C.
Got the savoury pancakes here. They were light, fluffy and perfectly cooked. The flavours of the ham and cheese could have been better, but still fantastic. The food at other tables looked equally good. Staff were pleasant.
p. g.
Food is delicious, had the weekend special and the hashbrowns with poached eggs and hallumi! I would highly recommend this place, customer service was alright our waitress was very nice but the lady at the door is a bit rude and not to friendly! other than that i could say is one of my favourite places to brunch in London!
s. h.
Ordered English breakfast, avacado toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs and two cappuccinos. Coffee was as usual fantastic! The food was very good too. Portions are medium to small sized but enough for one person. Staff is friendly and I really liked the ambience. Would recommend this place for brunch and coffee, worth it!
S. K.
Such an amazing place for brunch. I highly recommend it. Make sure you get there early because it's of high demand and you might have to wait in queue.
K. P.
I had a half full English breakfast and it was delicious I also added their special turmeric coffee which was as beautiful as food
T. C.
This is a very quirky place to eat or have a quick coffee ☕. We had breakfast and food was very good, can't recommend enough as this set us up for the day. It is quite a tight space so if you get claustrophobic you may not like it, or if you have a baby and pushchair. The staff were very helpful, when we first arrived we changed our minds on where they placed us and they were more than happy to change our table. Thanks to the whole team 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A. H.
Really great place. We just sort of happened upon this place as it was close to the place we were staying but it was a great find and we ended up coming back the next day as well. Good breakfast options (my first experience with a traditional English breakfast which was delicious) and great coffee and smoothies. Service is good as well.
V. G.
Totally recommend the berry pancakes, almost went for a second portion, delicious. The place is very cozy and was full on Saturday afternoon. The service is fast and fair. Will be back again ♥️
J. M.
Lovely little place, very chill atmosphere. I got an irish coffee and the charcoal brioche bun sandwich. The eggs were scrambled and loaded with black pepper, which I LOVED. Tasty food, friendly waitresses, and fast service. Perfect little spot for any time of day.
S. L. L.
Ordered full English breakfast( recommended ), oreo french toast (not recommended) and red velvet chocolate latte (nope).
Be ready to expect long queue if u arrive around 10am. Food served quite quickly. Staffs are nice. Will come again for the Full Eng.
A. C.
Incredible brunch spot which is worth the wait, especially for the summer Dutch baby 👌
N. K.
Oh dear I love it 😍
It's fresh and more than delicious 👍
Lots of healthy meals, also vegan.
Great for having breakfast and also lunch.
It's really nice inside, fed with a lot of love and nice extras. 100% recommendation 💗
S. M.
Absolutely fabulous food. Came for breakfast and had Hash Bennedict with Smoked salmon. Lovely. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Friendly staff.
S.
A little of the main road but definitely worth a visit. Delicious food and friendly staff. I think we went on a good day as didn’t have to wait for a table and there was a nice atmosphere inside. The only thing that niggled me is the drinks were a little expensive but that could just be London. I would definitely go back and would recommend if you’re in the area.
E. B.
Very cute café. There were many options for sweets, snacks and breakfast. They do have a full english breakfast, as well as tea and coffee. The smashed avocado toast was very good, and plated beautifully.
It’s near the St. Pancras train station which is very convenient for a quick bite before travel.
The waitresses were slightly aloof, or cold - but were helpful in ever other way, not enough to lose a star.
F.
Small café, great vibes and excellent coffee
K. M.
Summary: Overall outstanding food, atmosphere and service. Well worth going.
Finally got a chance to try this place after reading so many good reviews.
We were greeted by a queue outside, albeit a small one. As soon as you queue the waitress is present to welcome you and give you updates almost every minute about ETA for a table - this was lovely.
Menu was especially reasonably priced for London, £8 for most meals. Drinks around £3-4. Lots of veggie and vegan options including gluten free.
We ordered the avacado and salmon toast as well as the Buddha vegan bowl and a charcoal latte.
Food was excellent, well presented and excellent flavours. We tried the charcoal latte which was a bit of a dissappointment. No latte art but they had decorated with flowers. Truthfully tasted like hot milk. But I didn't let that put me off.
We then tried the Oreo french toast which was lovely and amazingly presented. Would definitely come all the back for that alone. Next time would probably get a coffee instead of a fancy coloured latte!
A strong 9/10.
D. N.
I loved this place! The space is bright, very nicely decorated, especially the bar looks great. The staff is very friendly and they play great music. Good wifi, good coffee. I spent a very pleasant morning working from here, I can only recommend this cafe.
L. C.
excellent coffee, food and service! to top it up, nice ambience, very reasonable prices, and free wi-fi! at 7:55am this morning, there were 5 people outside waiting for the place to open... indeed it was a good sign!
I. G.
Lovely food and great service, very busy, but the food came out on time and hot,, would definitely come back.
A. B.
A little off the beaten path but the high quality food and delicious drinks at this place are worth the few extra steps.
We came on a weekday so it wasn’t too busy. Well priced for the large dishes and fresh ingredients! Will be coming back for my next stay in London!
L.
Mother may I?! Food was delicious and nicely presented, staff was friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed. This is also an ideal spot for hipster watching and “influencer” sightings
O. S.
The full English breakfast was amazing! Coffee on point and very reasonable prices. Friendly staff.
W. A.
The customer service was brilliant. I didn't feel the same excitement for the carrot cake. Beautiful place to hang out with friends and then go to George's Gardens.
N.
This place is totally cute, the Full English and the French Toast along with the lattes are delicious! We had an exceptional experience and went back for more!
S. W.
One of my all-time favourite hidden gem brunch places in London which was the 2nd time I visited. Just how I remembered my first experience except the wait times were a little longer and it was more busier.
The queue shows that this is a firm favourite for brunch by locals and tourists and is certainly worth the wait. I ordered the Breakfast Bun - brioche bun, avocado, fried egg, cheddar, jalepeno salsa and bacon and it was divine. One of my most enjoyed breakfast dishes, the presentation was really good and the food came out a lot quicker than I expected. The waiter is friendly and amazing at her job and made us feel very comfortable in our time at Half Cup.
My friends ordered the full English breakfast and they really enjoyed the food, said it was worth the wait and I also have to add one of the best hash browns I've ever tried.
Fantastic selection of dishes on the menu for both food and drink, some of the reviews complained about the price but clearly do not know London prices...
Really enjoyed sitting in and the natural light and colourful bird art makes this a relaxing place to visit any time of the week or if you're wanting an 'easy like Sunday morning'.
I dropped one star because unfortunately you do have to queue and this cafe does not accept bookings and I think they need to hire more waiting staff because one person doing everything is a lot! I wish they took some bookings but all I can advice is that this is not the place to visit if you're in a rush but if you're wanting a slow morning experience and happy to wait for good food. Will visit again with more friends and continue to recommend.
N. L.
The food is healthy and great. If you get to see by the window then you have the brunch with the view. Very nice and the staff is helpful. Recommended.
L. T.
Only went there for a coffee and dessert. The iced vanilla latte, dark chocolate mocha and peanut butter blondie all tasted really good. Service war excellent as well with really friendly staff.
S. S.
Delicious food, limited menu, but enough to please everyone. Vegetarian and vegan options too. The staff was great, the only downside is they are crazy busy and dont take bookings but it's worth the wait. Definitely recommend it
L. M.
Had tried their brunch during my stay in London! Their cheesy pancake was so good! Had a good time there and the staff are very friendly.
D. H.
Delicious coffee, friendly staff, wonderful food, busy but not overbearing atmosphere. I went at 11am on a Saturday and there was a 15 minute queue. A dedicated host/ess would have sped things along, but there's a sign up saying they're looking to hire so I imagine they're working on that. Overall, absolutely recommended to small groups or individuals looking for an incredible brunch.
H. B.
Lovely food and service! Good sized portion and exactly what you need to start off the day. It's a bit loud, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want sit down quietly and eat.
A.
Tried numerous breakfast/brunch places in London and this must be one of the best I tried so far. Had the bun and Oreo French toast. I normally do not come back as London has so many great places however I might have to do an exception for the savoury pancakes.
J. G.
Stopped by for brunch and it was so good we had to stay for more coffee and cake! Wonderful, quick service, extremely tasty food and fantastic coffee (nude espresso). Was made to feel very welcome. Loved the decorations and music also - awesome atmosphere.
ᅳ.
Great quality coffee and amazing brunch menu served all day. Service can be a little slow but with how busy it was at the time it's totally understandable
G. M. S.
My new fav brunch place. Tasty food with very reasonable prices! Just yum!
A. J.
Food was great, service was excellent and friendly. Happy with their social distancing measures, they ensured that guests were far away enough from others.
J. F.
Good food and great service at this quirky independent coffee shop. Had a full english which was lovely and the best hot chocolate I've had. They have a tumeric latte which is very good. Lots of chatter and atmosphere but sound didn't carry well so couldn't hear yourself or the staff very well. Noisy but doesn't put me off.
J. M.
Lovely little place, very chill atmosphere. I got an irish coffee and the charcoal brioche bun sandwich. The eggs were scrambled and loaded with black pepper, which I LOVED. Tasty food, friendly waitresses, and fast service. Perfect little spot for any time of day.
N. L.
The food is healthy and great. If you get to see by the window then you have the brunch with the view. Very nice and the staff is helpful. Recommended.
X. X.
Service okay, food top quality, and nice environment, however they could have option for black pudding
J. K.
Oh my god this was the best brunch ever
I need go to back ASAP
J. M.
Amazing place !
Very good food all cook on site.
Cheap price with a beautiful decoration.
I recommend ! 😁
G. A. L.
I went to this place after reading some online reviews. Was here a Tuesday afternoon, and actually wanted to try the oreo french toast, but kitchen is closed from 3:45 pm, which I didn’t know before, so be advised of that! Anyway, I was …
B. J.
Great staff, delicious food at an awesome price.
P. H.
Outstanding place for brunch. Great smoothies. Great coffee. Friendly staff.
A. P.
We went there for a quick breakfast, but were a bit disappointed that we not only had to wait to get noticed but also for our food to be ready (Açai Bowl and Porridge).
It was ok though because a large group ordered before us and that took time. They apologised and made us two drinks for free, thank you for that!
The cafe mocha was good.
The price (£7) for an Açai Bowl was too high for only 3 spoons full.... the portion should be a bit bigger.
The porridge was great and the portion was perfect, the price decent.
The food looked like an artwork, great job (perfect for Instagrammers ;)).
The staff remained super nice and apologetic.
All in all a good restaurant, but you shouldn’t be too hungry unless you’d like to eat the porridge.
A. O. S.
Coffee is great, and the food’s pretty palatable as well :) The staff is ever so friendly and it’s a great place to start your day!
C. P.
Had the English breakfast and you could tell they made those in a batch and were not made fresh - the sourdough was very hard to chew as well as the bacon. Not one of the best English breakfast I’ve had, even slightly below average.
E. B.
Amazing brunch spot just 5 minutes' walk from King's Cross St Pancras. The red velvet latte is a must try and the French toast was heavenly... I shall return tomorrow morning whilst I'm still in London!
C. B.
Food was amazing, had the french toast and did not regret it, the staff were friendly, got sorted immediately although they were busy, the cocktails were simple but really good, the cafe itself is nicely laid out but could do with some air con on hotter days. It has a nice menu with good choices between sweet and savoury.
L. G.
Excellent food a coffee with a great give. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, brunch. The French toast and avocado toast were amazing!
M. A.
Lovely little cafe. Food looked amazing, but sadly I wasn’t hungry. I ordered a dark hot chocolate and raspberry tart and both were excellent. A clean and cosy atmosphere ideal for getting out of the winter cold for a while.
X. X.
Service okay, food top quality, and nice environment, however they could have option for black pudding
S. D.
Great cafe with good food and variety of drinks.
Service is great too.
A. P.
Best brunch everrrr!!! Super healthy food and the quality of the ingredients are flawless. Highly recommended! ☺️
G. S.
This was great, lovely food, lovely coffee. Although be prepared to queue for a seat as its very popular. Would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area!
L. M.
A fabulous little cafe away from the hustle and bustle of Kings Cross. Only a 5 minute walk away, this lovely little place is both cosy & efficient! The interior is bright, colourful, and incredibly welcoming whether for a quick coffee or work meeting. Breakfast was fabulous - and be turmeric latte was just amazing.
E. N.
Don't be put off by the crowded front of shop. Once you've got to the quirky restaurant at the side you'll really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced, excellent food. Highly recommend.
I. A.
Awesome attention, food superb! I had the full English breakfast, which was delicious! Really kind staff, cozy place. Would've eaten there all my breakfasts while staying in London.
C. R.
Great place for Brunch near Euston Station, very tasty food and great friendly service
E. S.
Really nice place to study and get brunch with great natural lighting and a colorful character
B. W.
Love this place, guaranteed a good meal. The staff are always in a good mood and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the food is always great
J. M.
Amazing place !
Very good food all cook on site. …
T. G.
Not a bad little Cafe. Nude espresso coffee brewed up on a La Marzocco and served in a large glass. Bacon, eggs and haloumi was a little bland and there was some large egg shells in the scrambled eggs. Nice staff and pretty quick for the food to come out. Free WiFi is a nice little bonus too.
R. k.
No surprise to have queues forming for this place. One of best places for breakfast in London ❤️🙌💯
K. G.
Its a normal local cafe, bit hyped. Not worth que-ing. We eat Vegan smashed avocado toast and a bagel with coffee paying £28..
A. M.
The food looked so beautiful and tasted great!
B. S.
A must go cafe in the city!!! Absolutely incredible food and coffee! Probably the most delicious cafe in Central London.
Y.
Pleasant brunch experience. Staff were nice and friendly. Food was good. I ordered the spinach pancake which I supposed they added raw spinach juice in the batter. Personally would probably prefer the pancake to be made with cooked spinach so there wouldn’t be the raw grassy taste in it. But that’s personal preference. Although the reception wasn’t particularly good, I do appreciate the free wifi. I also see staff disinfecting tables and the environment is very clean. I would recommend this place :)
I. M.
Service was polite and prompt.
Cakes were few on selection, but just OK.
Lose leaf teas also just OK.
Crowdy, but cozy.
K. L.
Brilliant food with great flavours. Nice environment close to the main n stations. Bit of a gem
K. T. C.
Good coffee, tasty cooked breakfasts with large portions. Warm and friendly service. Uses coffee beans from Nude.
G. A.
Best breakfast we’ve had for a long time! We’re already planning on recreating the feta and squash pancakes at home! 🤤
S. M.
This is a fantastic coffee shop! I'm in here more often than my wallet appreciates. The staff is so friendly, even if you catch them at noon on a Sunday with the cafe swamped and a touch shorthanded, they're so sweet and very apologetic for any wait. There's a clean, bright, and welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great place to have a relaxed breakfast, meet friends, sit alone, or catch up on some work (they don't have electrical outlets at the tables as it's in an older building but staff is always happy to plug something in behind the bar). They've got yummy coffee, tea, and some interesting non-coffee lattes that go beyond matcha to include beetroot and turmeric. The food (mostly breakfast but also lunch) and selection of home/housemade baked goods is all excellent. They also have a limited but well selected range of beers, including a house pilsner. I can't speak to their wines, but they serve them. All in all, it's a good place to spend your time and money.
A. B.
Ordered the acai bowl and chai latte. Everything was delicious. The service was great too. You do need to get there early or you would have to wait for a table because it's always packed with people.
D. M.
Really nice place, they don't have any plugs available near tables if you need to work at a laptop but they'll charge a phone behind the bar.
G. R.
Great place with really nice and friendly staff.
Food was really good!
n.
A very nice atmosphere, delicious french toast and a wonderful matcha latte! The swift and friendly service made this a perfect meal
A. S.
Excellent cafe that offers beautifully presented breakfasts and very good coffee in contemporary surroundings.
A. O.
A little expensive, but delicious food!
S. G.
Found about this place on Instagram. It definitely is living up to the hype.
Great range of brunch dishes ranging from classics to novelties. I had simple eggs on toast for my savory tooth and Oreo french toast for my sweet tooth.
The eggs were delicious. I especially liked the fact they were properly seasoned. Also, loved the butter on the sourdough.
The Oreo French toast was as good as it sounds. Too bad I couldn't have it all. However the waiter was kind enough on insisting on packing it up for takeaway.
As far as the surroundings goes, the place is very cosy. I had not booked but they accommodated me in a matter of 10 minutes.
Overall loved it!
S. A.
Nice place. Come early as it might be very crowded. Waiters were more than welcoming !
A.
Amazing service, amazing coffee. I come here for my coffee during lunch, always quick and service with a smile. Looking forward to coming back for a sit down brunch sometime soon!
P. K.
Nice hot chocolate. Would benefit from some power sockets to use. Only 3 stars because it said open till 6pm but I got kicked out at 530pm.
E. R.
Great service. Good music. Great menu. Decent prices AND 5 mins walk from Kings Cross. A much better alternative than your usual chain
P. W.
Nice environment and good food menu. Coffee not bad but not exceptional either, so 4 stars.
H. A. K. ح. آ. خ.
One of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots in London. Their Oreo French toast not to be missed!
A. B.
Decor is funky! Amazing food and some great tasting coffees!
L. R. T.
Quirky little cafe. Lovely music choice & the coffee is to die for. The Oreo French toast is also absolutely disgustingly beautiful. Round the corner from Kings across & an absolute treat.
V. J.
Great french toast, the amount of effort that went into the decoration was beautiful but it did mean the dish wasn't as hot as it could have been. 10% service charge added as standard would have been fine if the person serving had had a little personality. I don't mind tipping at all but if you are putting it as standard you better be sure the customer felt it was warranted.
T. F.
Great food nice staff and coffee. Really nice atmosphere
D. K.
Awesome vegan food options. Coffee was on point. Popular place!
A. H.
Pretty decent brunch place. Gets quite busy during weekends!
J. J. S.
Great brunch. Hash Benedict is a brilliant idea. So so coffee though (even with beans from Nude)
J. B.
So good! Lovely service too!!
B. W.
Awesome place and unique menu making this hidden gem worth a visit!;)
A. K.
Delicious breakfast, both sweet and savory options. Coconut iced latte was great. And prices are good.
S. R.
Fan of their chicken and waffle! Their coffee was great as well.
O. M.
Service was great from entrance to exit. Went in for breakfast and food was top tier. Only negative thing about it is how far away it is from where I live, next time I’m around I’ll be sure to drop in again.
O. R.
Amazing food and pretty aesthetic - gorgeous murals 🌸
N.
One of my best memories in London <3
k. s.
Best full English I had on my first visit to London. Always busy, which is a sign of both the quality of food, extremely friendly service and reasonable prices !
S. B.
Lovely. Great and affordable. Prefer this over the hostel food that was almost the same price.
I. M.
Awesome food, place and staff!!!!!
Highly recommended specially for veggie dishes.
A. S.
Decided to visit the place after seeing the instagram posts. However, I was expecting something more from the food. It was just ok.
A. M.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Love the ambience. Super relaxing and delicious matcha green tea!
S. A.
The food is good but not worth the one hour waiting time.
J. G.
Amazing breakfast! Beast hot chocolate I've ever had:)
J. K.
Oh my god this was the best brunch ever
I need go to back ASAP
V. C.
New favourite cafe for meeting in London. I walk up from Euston. The decor is stylish, the food is delicious, the service is perfect and the soundtrack is spot on (90's). Looks like a popular student café, however my fella and I don't feel out of place (in 30's and 40's) Will be back as soon as possible!
M. C. M. (.
The food is delicious, homemade and affordable. Definitely a good place for breakfast/lunch!
G.
Great food, amazing coffee and great service
S. H.
Very good coffee. Cool spot, friendly staff, outdoor seating.
P. G.
Had heard good things, but unfortunately let down by surly waiting staff. Also, not a place to spend an afternoon working as, bizarrely, nowhere to plug anything in. Coffee and food were both good, but I’m not sure I’ll be heading back in a hurry.
I. C.
Very pleasant service and yummy food!
Close to the train station, 10min walk.
C. E.
Amazing food and great service. I will definitely come back!
N. D. N.
Nice coffee, great atmosphere and wonderful food! Try the smashed avocado!
M. H.
Amazing food and style. Go to when we visit GOSH. Team are really friendly
R. Y.
Good service and good food.
A. E.
Lovely cafe, quite busy for Saturday brunch. I just got a takeaway coffee but the food looked fabulous and they were packed so it must be good.
I had an oat milk mocha with dark chocolate that was very nice. Reminded me of an authentic mocha (just chocolate and espresso) I had in salt lake.
Highly recommended!
M. C.
Love their brunch!
M. K.
Savory pancakes we're really dense and chewy, I wish they were lighter and fluffier. The portion could also be smaller. My companion had the sesame brioche with bacon, egg and avocado, but the avocados were not ripe at all and barely edible. The space is not sound insulated, so everyone in the small space talking was deafening. Service was very nice though, and the coffee was excellent.
S. g.
Try their shakshokah - it is on spot however it is kinda spicy and their coffee is amazing.. it is a must if you are in London
Y. L.
Really small, but worth queuing for 10 mins. I tried this soup, very flavoured. Good value.
F. R.
Great full English breakfast, with a good selection of hot and cold beverages.
Friendly staff
A. A.
Great food, friendly staff and very popular so arrive early!
A.
Service is very good. Food is just average. It looks amazing on the photos which is probably why many people are here. My brioche and my partner’s toast was cold and hard and the cheddar is also cold. Eggs and bacon are cooked well but every bite I struggle with the bread and the strong scent and texture of cold cheese. The red smoothies are a little bland but tastes fresh.
N. Y.
Ordered coffees and full English breakfasts. Coffees were ok, but expensive. The breakfast was served on a cold plate (not warmed) so the food, which wasn't that hot anyway, went cold almost straight away. Cooked by someone who I don't think has cooked full English for many years; bacon tasted tough and re cooked, egg fried in too high temp fat too quickly. Beans not hot enough, no sausage at all...just the usual cheap hash brown plate fillers. A mushroom and half a tomato quite nice. At £11 not including coffee, there is better value nearby. Seemed a nice quiet spot though, with nice ambience and location. For nearly £40 for 2 breakfasts and four coffees it was disappointing really.
A. C.
Brilliant place with superb coffee, energetic staff and tasty food, highlighting the beet cured salmon - simply perfect.
f. a.
Food was good, coffee good and the guy who served our table was excellent. The manager on shift however was perhaps having a rather bad day (early morning start on a Sunday, anyone?) and not very welcoming or hospitable. It was quite unusual and abrasive, negatively impacting our experience as a result.
J. L.
Nice food, reasonable price and good service! Recommended :))
E. F.
Love this place. The service ist great. The staff is very friendly and willing to fulfil your wishes. The coffee tastes really good. If you want they put grated chocolate on top of your cappuccino which makes it almost a dessert. For vegans they have different types of plant based milk alternatives. I highly recommend this place!
K. P.
We absolutely love this place for breakfast or brunch as we have stayed in the area many times. My favorite is vegetarian full English and the yellow smoothy. The quality of the produce is very high, so the food is not just abundant and nutritious, but also very yummy. My second favorite is a beetroot bagel with salmon. My husband always gets savory pancakes with bacon and egg, which indeed are very tasty. There is usually a wait, but the line normally moves quickly. Oh, another favorite is turmeric latte! Probably the only restaurant in London I’m SO impressed with, so definitely recommend!
B. J.
Great staff, delicious food at an awesome price.
R. F.
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had even if it was just eggs, toast and avocado. Lots of little details were paid attention to including seasoning. Coffee was lovely too. Service was on the inattentive side but they were justifiably really busy.
T. P.
Food and coffee were quite good. Unfortunately, when we were there the hous had run out of avocado and hash browns. That knocks off about 65% of the menu. The staff was very good about communicating the shortages and were super attentive throughout the meal. Only other downside was that baked beans were slightly hard and didn't have much depth of flavour and the bacon was a little chewy to my tastes. My partner loved her pancakes, they were definitely delightfully decadent and delicious.
R. S.
Enjoyed brunch will be visiting again.
Tasty food and prices reasonable
N. B.
Loved this place for a healthy meal break while in London. Fresh smoothies, salads, coffee, etc.
C. T.
Great food, chilled atmosphere and perfect for brunch!
J. B.
I only had a flat white and a banana bread but enjoyed both. Although I did have to let the coffee cool before drinking it was pleasant enough once it had cooled down - it would have been 5*s if the coffee was at the correct temperature!
Z. C. (.
Nice brunch place, very friendly staff, it's busy there around 1pm, but wasn't waiting too long for a table:)
D.
Cute little coffee shop just south of Kings Cross station. Stripped floors and eighties music but none the worse for that. Fair amount of space and seating. Great range of tea and excellent cake in generous portions. Not particularly cheap but a lovely experience.
E. M.
Great place to have a breakfast/brunch with friends!
C. H.
I absolutely love the menu. I visit the cafe twice a week and despite the fact that their coffee is always luke-warm, each dish I order is always tasty.
A. C.
It was pretty and delicious...pretty delicious! I needed to find a place to work for a long hour, I went to the right place.
W. S.
Loved their food , i tried the avocado toast with extra hush brown and extra egg it was amazing
M. G.
It was just alright. The space is quite small and obviously very popular, so it’s quite packed and loud. The food was no better than a chain-brunch place but with artisan-niche brunch place prices. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and accommodating!
Y. K.
Great service, great food. Just overpriced
E. K.
Lovely staff which are friendly and helpful. Nice interior as well, however there are only very few vegan options on the menu.
S. A.
Excellent food and attention to detail. Lots of choices from savoury to sweet with unusual flavour pairings that actually work. Cosy little place with attentive, friendly staff. Definitely recommend for a proper brunch. Coffee is also great but I'm a bit biased cause Im a fan of their supplier.
s. l.
Amazing breakfast, and you don't have to wait for long time to have it!!
j. i.
Went here for some lunch. I had the Green Fry Up, which was absolutely delicious! Who knew vegan food could be so good? It is so pretty in here, with the most beautiful wall painting. We were here with a baby, it was a bit of a squeeze getting the push chair in. That is the only slightly negative thing I could say. The staff here were just so friendly and helpful! It is lovely and clean inside! Just a great place in a great location!
E. J.
Had the veggie breakfast and the loaded croissant, absolutely fantastic! We wanted to go on Sunday but the queue was out the door, went back on Monday and could so see why it was do popular. Great food, helpful staff and lovely atmosphere.
J. E.
Forgot my coffee order and then coffee that was made was over extracted. Not the greatest experience.
K. P.
Amazing food, lovely staff, pretty drinks and even prettier murals on the walls. Both locations for half cup are great! It’s become a weekly spot for me. ❤️
Ν. Σ.
The best place for breakfast and brunch in the city! Tasty dishes with amazing food styling, combining classic flavours with a fresh-new preposition. Staff was lovely, always kind with a smile on their face and good recommendations. They really made our day! Thank you Nora 😁
T. J.
A great brunch place with a hipstery atmosphere. Good looking and tasting dishes. We tested the English breakfast and it was top notch!👌 Had to wait in the queue for about 15 minutes, so not bad at all.
j. v.
A pleasant surprise to find this cozy spot so close to our hotel during a layover. Well worth the half-hour wait. Nice staff, good cup of coffee, great smoothies, and the mushroom and duck egg over toast was fantastic. Never felt rushed.
D. A.
Go-to hangover food 💋❤️ and lovely to study, read, draw, hang out, etc. Many healthy options. Everything looks pretty!
H. B. (.
Was looking forward to this but was disappointed.
Overall it was alright but it doesnt have a wow factor. I ordered an oat flat white, the veggie full English and the french toast.
The coffee was average.
My eggs were cold and they only gave half a piece of toast.
The french toast was better but again nothing too special.
Not sure I understand the hype around this place. I came on a monday morning and there was a queue outside which is hard to understand.
A. R.
Really pleasant atmosphere, nice selection of teas. Speedy, friendly service - the waitress was very conscientious when I asked about allergens. The place is clearly popular and there was a huge queue outside on Saturday morning, so we were somewhat rushed out the door upon our final sip of tea.
G. G.
Great food, great coffee and super fast service
B. C.
Not what it once was. The food is simply not as good as it used to be. Though the coffee and staff are still up to scratch and better than ever. I’m sad, as this place used to be my favorite spot for brunch but I have noticed a decline in their dishes. I wouldn’t go out of my way if I were you to get to this spot (hopefully this advice of mine will change if they pull up their socks again with the food)
M. G.
Delicious food and drinks, lovely staff.
Always a good idea.
R. A.
First impression is that the service needs to be improved. I was not happy to receive a warm can of drink with no ice and there was no vegan cake left at 2pm so I didn't eat. The scrambled eggs my friend had looked nice though.
S. V.
Brilliant! Lovely people, great variety on the menu, tasty and beautifully served Matcha and Turmeric coffee - only things I have tried so far, but will definitely be coming back for more;) thank you.
C. R.
Nice place, good food, quick service but long queue! Make it early for brunch on Sunday if you want to get a table without a wait! It’s a great spot in an area packed with big chains and no local coffees!
G. N.
Went there for brunch with a friend and it was absolutely amazing! I had no expectations for the place so when the food came out it was stunning! Had the Maple Syrup Chai Latte and the Vegetarian Breakfast, my friend had a smoothie and the Buddha bowl. Zero complains! Our waitress was also incredibly nice and attentive, overall a great experience
E. G.
Lovely spot! A hidden gem in Kings Cross. Great coffee. Service was on point for such a busy day. Thanks to our wonderful host and server Marcus for not missing a beat with some unintentionally difficult customers. You put a smile on all of our faces. We will defiantly be back and will recommend Half Cup onward.
T.
Deliciously decedent (and a little bit naughty) the Oreo french toast was amazing. Also treated myself to a few of their 2 for 10 mimosa's (other cocktail options available) and my friend enjoyed her croque-maddam. Lovely brunch atmosphere, friendly staff and the WiFi worked a treat. Great little find thanks to other good reviews and pictures on google, would recommend
N. G.
I think the ratings might be a little inflated. The food was very mediocre. Nothing to write home about and definitely not worth a 30 min wait. The savory pancakes were good but the "Oktober special" was definitely not worth it. Giving them the benefit of doubt that other items on the menu may have been better.
L. K.
One of my favourite brunch spots in London. Appreciate the quality and consistency, always great food and drinks.
L. M.
Bit of a wait for a Saturday brunch but the delicious food was worth it
M. J.
This small and friendly cafe serves some really tasty food. I had the all day breakfast which was delicious. Why not 5 stars then? No fault of the place really, it is just so popular that we had to queue and did feel in a bit of a rush to give up our table for others that were queuing after we'd finished.
N. G.
Amazing food great staff, if in the area highly recommend stopping by for breakfast!
P. S.
Very good place for a nice brunch or lunch. Coffee is great, food is delicious, and service is kind and attentive. It is perhaps a bit pricey for the portion sizes and you will almost certainly have to queue for a table but this place is nevertheless a great option in the area.
w. l.
Best coffee around Bloomsbury that I've found. Food is also very good and reasonably priced. I recommend the breakfast brioche with chorizo! They do vegetarian and vegan dishes too,if that's your thing. Busy on weekends but they do take out, otherwise it's usually a 10 - 15 minute wait. Staff are friendly and prompt with their service.
M. M.
Lovely coffee place, very cosy and comfortable, nice atmosphere and colourful walls! The food was delicious, generous portions with good prices. I absolutely loved the scrambled eggs with cheddar and next time will also try the sweet plates from the menu
S. K.
If you want to visit here should be hurry.
Taste good, kind staff, lovely place!
A. S.
I think this place is a bit overrated. Food was good, well presented but not amazing. One of the portions was good but the other was quite small for the price. Drinks were good, place is okay but that's it. Plus we had to wait around 20/30min for a table. It was a good experience, but not good enough or good value to go back.
C. S.
There is nothing half about this coffee shop! It has excellent and colorful food with excellent coffee and above all consistency in what they offer. The staff is always friendly and ready to accommodate you. The long lines for this small coffee shop are justifiable!
K. G.
Amazing ham and cheese pancakes. Great coffee and great service.
J. K.
Fantastic! Lovely place and service so good!
T. M.
Very lovely little place, does nice coffee and the atmosphere is nice. Service friendly.
Selection of non-dairy milks, however unfortunately like in most places, they're charged extra. The place actually had even a vegan cake option, which was a great surprise.
Can definitely recommend.

I just had the best oat flat white I've had all year 😋 so smooth and creamy.
W. L.
Wonderful and trendy coffee ahop. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
S. J.
Quite good coffee and very good food. Broad and interesting menu. I had the lunch board which was delicious with beautiful meats at a very reasonable price. My partner had the smashed avo with salmon and a perfectly poached egg. Highly recommend this place.
B. M.
I had the best breakfast of my life here. I still think about that breakfast. I’m a vegetarian and they do the absolute best vegetarian full English breakfast!! Halloumi instead of bacon, avocado instead of sausage, perfect eggs, I’ve truly never had a more perfect breakfast. Wonderful staff as wellI; I can’t wait to come back 💛
R.
The food here tries to stand out with some very Instagram-friendly designs and concepts. Your experience here probably depends on what time of the week you go. I went with a friend and it was too busy to get a seat inside. It has a few seats outside if you are prepared for the British weather (we got rained on). I'm sure some of the dishes taste great at Half Cup. We found some of the food and drink didn't live up to its high presentation values. For example, ordered a cup of tea that wasn't any better than making one with a tea bag at home.
P. I.
Good English breakfast. Pleasant staff and service.
J. P.
Great english breakfast, nice people, the best place around !
M. A. W.
Try the Toasted banana bread
topped w/ espresso mascarpone & pecan nuts with blind eyes. Great Coffee
M. C.
I spent a few hours sitting in the front window of Half Cup, eating a delicious full-English breakfast, sipping tea, and soaking in the sun. The night before I came here was a very long one and I needed somewhere to rest and restore. I found exactly what I was looking for. I was astonished at how generous the portions on the breakfast were. I've never had such delicious and savory bacon. I can't wait for an opportunity to come back and indulge in another morning spent lounging in the sun of the front window! #letsguide
L. Z.
Awesome delicious vegan and gluten free options
g. b.
Overhyped. Was looking forward based on other reviews. Service seemed rushed and patchy dependent on who it was. Food not bad but didn't meet expectation and cost was expensive for what it was. Visited The Potting Shed in Marylebone the day after and paid £3 more for breakfast, was a much better experience.
S. S.
Always packed, full of hipsters. Good place to study if you're able to find a table in the periods of fewer customers, but they're few and far in between. Coffe is great! However the further in you go the darker it gets. Obviously a popular place though. Seek it if you have an urge to find fellow hipsters!
K. I.
First breakfast in London and such a good suprise ! Super yummy and fresh. The staff is friendly, the place is very cosy and the interior design is beautiful :)
L. K.
Quite expensive, though it is London so expected. Had the savoury pancakes but the actual pancakes were quite bland and tasted/textured like they were undercooked. Coffee was OK. Service however was great, staff very friendly
A.
Lovely staff. Not the fastest service but I know how it is to work at a busy cafe so the friendliness and delicious food exempt this as an issue for me.
Would definitely recommend if you want to impress someone with great looking brunch items.
E. M.
This place has a lovely atmosphere and aesthetic, and the food is very good and unusual! The place is very busy and loud though if there happens to be a group having brunch, it's almost impossible to hear each other. I really enjoyed it though, and thought the tea, staff and food were all worth it!
B. M.
Lovely Café, great meals and drinks (Brunch). Vegan and vegetarian friendly!!!
H. J. K.
An interesting and great range of brunch - the charcoal brioche was great. Coffee is also amazing. The queue is quite long (even at 12), so maybe go earlier to reserve a table first!
T. C.
Great service, good ambience, good food, good tea. What more could you ask for?
J. P.
Sometimes when there's a wait somewhere, it isn't worth the wait. However Half Cup was busy for good reason, really lovely coffee, amazing breakfast (really decent sized too!) As well as not rip off prices. If you're after a nice breakfast before your train home and have a bit of time to kill, this is the one!
B. J.
Edit: this place just keeps getting better and better. It does excellent brunch food with a menu that changes just enough to keep you going back for more. Staff are very friendly and accommodating even at particularly busy times. It’s simply one of my favourite places in London.
Also: Brilliant location for a light lunch/coffee around Kings Cross. Also great place to work remotely when in need of a change of scene. Five stars for keeping real chocolate on the top of its cappuccinos, and offering pastel de nata.
S. C.
This is one of the fancy cafes in London. Both food & drink are good and beautiful. This place is always crowded with lots of people, so you should expect waiting. I recommend you order various menus. Take a picture with your smartphone and upload it to social media. People will pay attention to you. If you are here, no matter what picture you take, it will look great. Awesome :)
N. S.
Had a great breakfast brioche for a reasonable price and a proper Australian-level-of-quality flat white to go with it!
S. G.
I didn't have coffee here but the smashed avo here was the only truly delicious brunch that I've managed to find in three weeks in London. I wish I'd taken a photo because it was also beautifully presented.
R. J.
Really great place. Awesome selection of coffees and very good breakfast food. Service is fast even when they are busy. The murals on the wall add a lot of character to an already great ambience as well. Definitely go here if you're in the area
N. P.
Nice coat place expect a wait of 30 mins min
A. G.
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Sat outside and I haven’t seen the place from the inside. Really enjoyed the English breakfast and the service was superb. Would gladly come back
L. b. Z.
Brunch here is always a delight. The food is consistent and tasty. On the weekends it is super busy but I personally think it is worth the wait. Service is ok but the food makes up for it. I also LOVE their mochas!
J. A. G.
Delicious breakfast! Tasty food, good service and fair prices
M. V.
Crowded hipsterish brunch cafe with excellent beardy fare - smashed avocado, vegan English breakfast etc - but with some nice touches (e.g. winter warmer juice shots). Staff a bit surly, but it was crazy busy when we went
A. A.
Amazing friendly staff, yummy food and absolutely lovely coffee. Wet professional and clean. Me and my bestie’s favourite coffee escape 😁 Highly recommend it.
D. C.
Great service and food! Will definitely come back!
K. C.
Delicious coffee and food. Try the Turmeric Latte!
Z. W.
By far one of my favourite breakfast/brunch locations in London. The atmosphere is awesome and really cozy and the staff is friendly. And of course, the food is amazing so it‘s a must go in London!
C.
Perfect little escape from hustle and bustle of St Pancras and only about 2/3 mins walk. Choice of food and drink is excellent
K. B.
Outstanding breakfast, beautiful matcha latte with an incredible taste.
M. D.
I can only speak to the takeaway espresso drinks - excellent mochas, they get the almond milk really foamy and silky and you can choose dark chocolate cocoa or milk chocolate. The staff on the takeaway counter are always lovely.
A. R.
Another one of my favourite cafés in Central London.
The colourful paintings of this little café's walls got me in. They serve good coffee and nice breakfasts and lunch options. The staff is lovely. If you plan on studying or working for a bit there with a coffee next to you I would avoid going there around lunch time as it tends to be a little busy and noisy.
A. S.
Good coffee and a hearty breakfast. Portions are big, so order wisely ;). Polite and attentive staff. Place was packed at 9am and had to queue for a good 15 mins. If you have a group of more than 4 and in a bit of a hurry, be prepared to split up your group or you'll have to wait longer for an empty table.
R. S.
I wish I didn't find this place on my last day in London. This is the first place you should go for a breakfast so you have the opportunity to return again and again. I had the apricot pancakes (highly recommended), but I don't think you could really go wrong with any choice you make.
A. M.
Very nice place, good costumer service and delicious plates
S. T.
Great food, lovely staff, perfect spot for an original breakfast
D. D.
Best Coffee in the area!
Their coffee is just the right strength and spicyness for me. It's in a different world to your mass made Starbucks and Costa blends and they offer both Soya and Almond milks too. Their food is really tasty, healthy and reasonably priced although the portions may not be big enough for some. Courteous and pleasant staff make it a great place!
H. A.
Loved the ambience, very kind staff, super delicious food! ♥️
K. H.
Very good coffee and brunch. All the food was delicious! However it feels a little cramped and the music is played too loud. Definitely a hipster cafe.
J. M. (.
It was awesome. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
w.
Great! Food was really good. Price - quality was very good. All self made. Staff was very friendly. If I'm again in London I'll definitely come again :)
M. G.
The pancakes were good but my mocha was awful! Too much foam and chocolate on the top. The wait time and service leaves much to be desired during the busy lunch hour. Had to go inside to fetch our waitress as we had been sitting outside for over 10 mins without anyone taking our drink or food order.
D. L.
Delightful brunch spot. Varied menu, good coffee and trendy decor
P. T. E. (.
Hello all, this is my own review covering different perspective. The quality of the food and the presentation is high standard. In regard to the prices, I would say it is slightly exaggerated. The place most of the time is busy, “ full”. The place is also tight, which means you need to wait outside of the store. The shop is stylish however there is no air condition inside and rarely there is bad smell. 2 times out of over 18 visits.
This place seems to be a small business and it is busy always.
They have 9 employees ( serving , or in the cashier area). Unfortunately more than half of them are rude. Specially the manager. This is because the place is too busy and they don’t speak in good manner with costumers sometimes.
Some of the employee seem to acquire this rudeness as a system of the place and they don’t know how or what to say other than imitating the manager or most of the rest employee.
The most friendly employees are ( one Asian girl, one American girl, and new maybe Indianan man).
For example, after you order for to go, if you were to deal with the manager, you will get an answer like ( go outside and wait , with unacceptable tone sometimes). This way makes you feel you are nothing but just a business.
In my opinion, they need to teach most of their employees how to be patients, welcoming, respectful, and above all how to be a diplomat when you talk.
Unfortunately I was told by the manager last time, if you don’t like the way, you feel free not to come here anymore. Therefore, my answer was I am not coming here for you. I am coming for the good service of some of the other employees as well as the good food.

2 weeks after, the owner came back. I can see much better change for the service. I changed the 3 stars to 4. Additional 3 more people has been hired. ( the stuff overall becomes friendly but not like before ) I hope this stays like this even when the owner go for holiday or so.
The owner is extremely fair and professional. Thanks to her.
U. K.
We've been there once on Saturday. Coffee is not great bu fine. Atmosphere is nice. It's not extremely crowded so finding a spot is not difficult at least on Saturday. They don't have electric plugs for laptops. This let them down to three stars. If they were laptop friendly, I would give 4.
J. K.
Loaded croissant, pink dream, and pancakes. Phenomenom!
S. N.
An impressive range of alternate milks that we couldn't resist trying even though neither of us are dairy free. Choice of dark or milk chocolate for the indulgent hot chocolate and an inventive brunch menu that would bring me back to keep trying new things. Only drawback was the weather was miserable and they made us wait outside for a table.
J. N.
Great coffee and nice vegetarian all day breakfast. Very busy at lunch time with queues and waiting lists. Friendly staff who are rushed off their feet. Quite crowded and noisy. But worth it for the coffee.
K. A.
I will come again, I love the food and the quality service.
T. D. N.
The dark chocolate mocha and milk chocolate mocha were really one-of-a-kind! Presentation of the Oreo Cookie French Toast was amazing and it tasted pretty good, especially if you're looking for something less sweet and more cinnamon-y!
G. S.
Believe the Google reviews and visit. You will not be disappointed.
A.
Half Cup is a really cute little coffee shop. I went here to study one day, and whilst it's lovely, I found that it wasn't super conducive to getting work done (if I remember correctly, there weren't any outlets). But it was a nice place to stop in and grab a bite to eat/drink.
Q. L.
Food is generally okay but overly raves about in my honest opinion. Pink dream had no beetroot nor rosey taste which is odd. The place needs severe sanitization. Servers aren’t the most helpful either.
N. H.
Amazing food, great vibes
Loved their banana bread
A. A.
Fantastic veggie breakfast with a big wedge of halloumi, avocado, beans, portobello mushroom and toast. Delicious and great service. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for more than a greasy spoon at a reasonable price. It is in between euston and kings cross, and an easy walk from both stations with Google maps.
J. 1.
Fantastic place. No doubt one of the highlights we've had while visiting England. If only we had more places like this in Glasgow. Many thanks to Elizabeth for the excellent service and making our booking so special!
F. H.
I found this place at Instagram and I’m more than happy that we had breakfast there. Be aware that this place is crowded most of the time, but breakfast and coffee are super delicious.
B. B.
These guys are absolute fantastic! We just got back from Europe trip and found this was our best meal! Staff are brilliant and polite. Food tasted amazing, don’t hesitate to try you won’t be disappointed :)
R. B.
Very nice place, good food, and loved the Full English breakfast.
M. C.
Good Coffee, Service definitively needs improving. Ordered coffees, food and a pastry. Cooked food arrives first, we need to ask for our coffees and the pastry arrives after about 15 mins (!).
N. H.
I had the full english and oreo milkshake. Food was nice, only downsides were that the plate was a bit too small for the amount of food so it was a bit of a struggle to cut my food, and the table outside was a bit wobbly. Staff were nice and I was served pretty quickly
A. P.
Undrinkable coffe. Food was very good, although way overpriced. Also the tables were ridicously small and the plates had a tall border which made the cutting very hard. Conclusion: good, expensive, a bit unconfortable
A. C.
Great little cafe hidden off the main road and around the corner from Kings Cross station. Free WiFi without any complicated gateway. Mobile reception is poor. Plenty of seating but all wooden and no soft seats. Coffee is some of the best in London. azing selection of sandwiches, pastries. You won't be disappointed for lunch.
F. M.
First time here, walked past the shop then had to doubled back after getting a whiff of the place. I guess it's just a preference but, the coffee wasn't my favourite, the 'v16' was alright, but takes a while to brew, I suggest having a pot of filter coffee on standby with a South/Central American or central African blend. BUT!!!! HOt dayum, the cheese-avacado toastie is the cat's proverbial nighty. If you don't count calories, get some scrambled egg with it, flavourful and not over-cooked.
Overall great experience and lovely staff, see you again soon 👌
H. F.
Busy on a Sunday morning which is a good sign! Got seated straight away, quick service (lots of staff), great coffee/tea, breakfast (full English and Oreo French toast). Recommended
H. S.
Had a great experience at half cup. Service was excellent from a young lad named Jared. I couldnt believe it was only his first day there, he did a great job delivering my “coffee”. Thanks,
C. R.
Lovely food and staff! Really Instagram's let food and cafe, they put lots of care into their food. Very very busy though so expect to wait for a table. My wait was about ten minutes but it was worth it!
M. H.
The vibe was amazing 👍 however for non chocolate lovers, the oreo french toast is not really recommended. Though their english breakfast was surprisingly good, with huge amounts of bacon and amazing scramble eggs ^^
S. K.
This place was absolutely tasty and yummy. Worth for the quids you pay. MUST try for brunch. Waiting time was just 5 minutes on a busy weekday.
M. B.
Super friendly staff! As a visitor from San Francisco, I tried coffee all over London and this was the best Americano I had. Also, excellent big English breakfast! Went here everyday of my trip
D. H.
Great atmosphere, good cocktails (2 for £10) and friendly service. A favourite for catching up with colleagues near Euston...but without the hecticness at the station.
P. D.
Love this place - great coffee, studenty buzz, excellent food and good prices
I’m adding to this review just to say that the staff are amazing! Seldom you find anywhere they are so friendly, cool and efficient.
J. E.
Really nice little coffee shop, just far enough away from the busy Euston Road to feel quiet. They serve Nude espresso and have a good selection of teas and hot and cold food. Free wifi but limited plug sockets at tables.
J. T.
Long wait for a table inside, but as we had the dog, we got a table quickly outside. Great Matcha latte, cortado coffee and pastries!
A. N.
Honestly the most amazing and flavourful brunch. Very impressed 😍😍
J. M.
Outstanding coffee, food and extremely friendly staff!
M. R.
Delicious breakfast and nice staff. Will come back again!
P. R.
Amazing breakfast, the food presentation is beautiful also the flavours and the coffee is excellent.
Z. Z.
A very good place to have breakfast and coffee, good service as well.
A. L.
Went here twice for breakfast during my stay in London. Excellent food, cosy atmosphere and service was always friendly & quick even though the place was busy. Warmly recommended!
M.
Sooo good! Porridge with various nuts, including toasted slivers of almond, lots of blueberries, and cooked with milk. The hot chocolate was large, with good quality chocolate flakes sprinkled on top for extra oomph.
Q. A.
Worth the short wait.. Coffee is great and is not very strong roast. The veg English breakfast is fantastic. Staff are cooperative.
G. A. M.
Food served is good, but the thing that is annoying is that the staff asked us to wait outside the restaurant for a table to be available and the weather was really cold to do so. 😲 Felt like tormented
R. N.
Really good service here. We were in rush but still wanted to have breakfast before starting a busy day. Food come out quickly and with a smile!
S. M.
Awesome place, very friendly and calm, ordered a good cappuccino, pancakes with maple syrup and bacon and a brioche with scrambled eggs, bacon and avocado. Everything was very good. Free WiFi and water. Fair prices
L. L.
Great place to chill.
S. B.
A gem with good food, friendly staff and a simple, delicious menu. Generally busy, it's a great place if you're looking to sit and work for an hour, but highly recommended to have some headphones with you.
M. P.
Clean and beautiful interior, delicious food and even better cafe with welcoming and helpful staff. Perfect place for brunch or just a cafe.
B. E.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food and drink
S. P.
Only decided to go here after reading the reviews on Google and we're glad we did. Lovely brunch, good coffee and friendly staff. We'll be back again if in the area x
F. P. K.
Fabulous smashed avacado and egg. Very nice Americano.
X.
The special warm potatoe salad was absolutely amazing !!!! No complaints. Was salty being woken up early (well i did stay in a hostel) but not any more !
C. A.
Probably can't recommend this place enough for a delicious breakfast.
M. T.
Nice decor, friendly staff. Pancakes with ham, cheese and fried egg is HUGE, could barely finish it. Tasted amazing though so powered through :)
G. K.
This place is really really good! I tried the hama parm pancakes! They were super soft and tasty! The only disadvantage is that you’re probably gonna wait some time until you get a table!
J. B.
Cool cafe with nice atmosphere. Good menu, though beware - the kitchen closes early. Friendly staff.
M. R.
Soup of the day is fantastic value and fantastic taste! Can't speak for the other foods ( although looked good) but on multiple occasions have loved the soup, and great value for the size and heartyness.
J.
Good pancakes, however these need to have crispy streaky bacon instead of 'english' bacon. coffee is decent. Prices okay for London, but there is cheaper.
R.
Excellent Cafe, Food was amazing probably one of the best I have had in London and the service was brilliant, Located across the road from St Pancras Station, I tend to visit every time I come to London. Defiantly worth a visit! :)
r. b.
Typical hipster place but in a good way! Great coffee, healthy lunch, nice staff and cool vibes. The raspberry pasteis de nata was really yum!
R. H.
I have been telling everyone about this place! The food is so beautiful it's like art and it's also good value. Great if you're trying to be healthy (and also lots of choice if you're not!)
C. S.
Best brunch in London and one of the best I’ve tried ever...everything is so good that it’s really difficult to choose. I have to come back to taste more!!! +++ #instabrunchlondon
y. h.
Very nice place for a quick brunch or breakfast
M. G.
Great coffee and food while waiting for the Eurostar. Worth the line up.
V. N.
Everything was fresh, tasty and very well prepared.
N. A.
The breakfast there was perfect 👌🏻 🤤
K. W.
This place is amazing. The food is superb and I suggest getting the Chorizo in a Pan if it's not sold out for the day. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere is chill and welcoming.
s. h. C.
Food is above average. The full English breakfast is quite good. However, it got busy in the lunch time and the food is not worth an hour of waiting.
D. O.
Great breakfast spot with good coffee.
M. R.
Apart from the regular selection of coffee, the place offers almond/soy/oats milk, as well as GF and healthier options - certainly a plus when you're going with a friend with sensitivities and allergies :D
