Reviews of KURO COFFEE

Kuro coffee is definitely a hidden gem we found randomly. The decor is simple and adorable with cozy ambiance & artsy furniture.
The staff is kind of cool but polite and serves everything quickly. We had 2 cups of hot Latte to refresh our afternoon and it was pretty decent. The pastries they served looked limited but appealing. However, we didn't get a chance to try since we were full already.

Quiet environment with a small upstairs area to sit in, with one big table in the middle and a bench on the side.
The coffee cups and dishes used is very pretty.
I rated 4 stars because I was hoping to study there but turns out there was a no laptop policy on weekends they have. So bear that in mind!

Super friendly staff. Really helpful and knowledgeable. The baked goods look really tasty. The coffee was delicious. A great little place

I don’t know where to begin, because I’ve never written a review for a cafe or ever. This may sound a lil’ bias because I’m such a fan of Kuro. From the minimalist interior design to the great aesthetic it emits. From the first flat white I’ve had with them a few months back. I caught the vibe my G’s! I’ve been recommending Kuro to my friends and family. I told them gladly,”It was the best coffee I’ve had in London!” I’ve been to a lot of cafes and also to London Coffee Festivals; trust me on this.
As from my observations, they’ve kept the place immaculate. The wonderful staff are attentive and made sure every cup are made with love and care. From their coffee & matcha beverages you’ll not regret any purchases. Go on! Chill on the first floor and don’t forget to return that smile to all the staff and people around you! Have a fantastic day :)

Lots of controversy around this place at the moment as it’s apparently taken a heavy dose of inspiration from a cafe in LA. Fair enough, everyone in the coffee industry is copying each other (as they do in most other industries).
Onto more important issues- how is the coffee?
They serve Ozone, and they do it pretty well! I had a small filter coffee which was a decent “Ethiopian” brew. It’s fairly clear the baristas aren’t passionate about specialty coffee- but may be more focused on customer service and sweetened lattes (all power to them)!
My only gripe would be that for £2.80 I got a 5oz cup of filter with room. This is unprecedented size to cost ratio. 8oz for £3.50 tends to be the going rate even in your trendiest East London Cafes. Maybe it’s just West London?

What a wonderful find! In a quiet and unassuming street just off the main road. Very beautiful interior. Coffee was good and there were pastries such as cinnamon rolls and croissants all packed hygienically in individual bags. Special mention to Matthew and Rania who were so cheerful and made my day! Thank you guys! P.s. there is sitting upstairs. Very cosy!

It is good place to grab a cup of coffee but not for staying. No power sockets and seating area is small. Also the seating area is filled with echoes.
I tried Match latte and it was nice. If you want try drinks, I recommend this cafe.

Great coffee, and the pastries are delicious. A very small place, but worth the search.
Has an outside bench to enjoy your coffee and be socially distanced.

Lovely minimalist cafe with a delightful Japanese influence. The green tea was ‘sensa-tional’ (forgive the pun!) and tasted just as good as I had in Tokyo.
There is no wifi though :(

I really like this place. The coffee is sometimes hit or miss - it can be a little acidic at times - but its generally good, and the spot more than makes up for it - super cozy! The pastries I’ve tried so far have all been good, and their playlist is the best :)

Super cute little place benefiting from a sunny location. Loved both the coffee and the matcha. And they are dog friendly!

Cute little coffee shop in Notting Hill. Good coffee, pleasant staff and I like that the menu has quite a bit of variety in terms of both coffee and tea based drinks, compared to your average coffee shop.

I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops in london. Most are fine or good enough but never reach the wow level. Kuro is the exception. The coffee is outstanding. I had a cappuccino which was honestly spot on. The milk was the perfect temperature, the coffee tasted amazing and the texture of the foam was textbook perfect.
Service was warm and friendly, this is a place that invites you in and makes you feel at home. Banana bread was also on point.
In conclusion this place has become one of my favourite coffee shops in london after only one visit! I honestly think this place is one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to!

The cappuccino with oatmilk was very good. The croissant was overpriced (around 4 pound) and for that I expected a really good one...but no, it wasn't at all.

Great coffee, tasteful deco and super kind staff. Apparently, Kuro stands for black in Japanese, alluding to the black and white minimal design and black coffee. Great new find and welcome to the area, Kuro

Wonderfully cute little place where one can chill out with a cup of nicely made coffee, or tea. You can enjoy your cup here or take it away. But I prefer to sit upstairs.

Excellent coffee, a place for real caffeine aficionados. Would recommend.

Recently discovered in my local neighborhood, what a JEM.
Wonderful matcha made passionately, great coffee, and welcoming polite service.
I'm now a regular, love this place.
Weekends get busy so try early or in the week.
Highly recommened.

Super friendly staff and great quality matcha! I love the minimalist design, and could sit here for hours (which I do). It's a lovely little place in Notting Hill, and I hope it's here to stay!

Excellent coffee (especially great to find such delicious filter coffee in the area - which is mostly chains like pret and nero etc) and lovely staff, great vibe, very happy to have this in the neighbourhood!

A lovely, quiet spot in Notting Hill Gate! Wonderful coffee, great looking pastries which I'll be back to try, and super friendly and welcoming staff! Can't wait to come back and spend some more time here!

Not sure why the rating of this place isn’t higher. The coffee is of a very high standard with excellent attention to detail.

Great coffee, nice people serving. Read some reviews saying it looks like another shop etc…not sure what all the fuss is about.

This little coffee place has a cozy vibe. I recommend the almond croissant (a piece from heaven) along with the matcha or chai latte. Kiu, the barista, was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back.
