High quality bakery shop with a wide selection of baked items and hot drinks. Nice ambience and pretty spacious. The baked good were of a very high quality and so was the tea and the hot chocolate. The flat white was very good, but I found the beans a bit flat (but this is on a spectrum of them being very good). Overall, would recommend but it’s pricey; for example, £7 for a quiche and I suggest it should have a side salad or some garnish.

I go here at least once a week for their almond croissant. I have tried other almond croissants but nothing beats La Bakerie’s. It leaves no strange after taste like others can. The sprinkle of icing sugar on top adds to the yumminess.

A really nice bakery with a large selection of delicious pastries. Lots of seating with a great layout making the place feel very spacious. Friendly and welcoming staff with excellent customer service. Coffee is also very good here. Will be visiting again and can't wait to try other items on the menu.

I am very picky eater, but I would say this is one of the best bakeries in London :) French style, great coffee bean & oat flat white is lovely, their hazelnut choc chip cookies are heavenly! Staffs are friendly & nice. This bakery is making the Wanstead high street more sought after & lovely local area, highly recommended!

Big selection of pastry and sandwiches! I had 3 slices of different kind of cakes and only two I took a picture of got home with me without being eaten. Lol. The staff and the girl who served me was very kind during my visit. I was happy with my choices and definitely go back again soon.

Delicious food, friendly staff, we enjoyed our visit for breakfast. Coffee just how we like it. I had scrambled eggs and tomatoes on buttery sourdough, while my wife had poached. Took home a French baguette and almond croissant for the kids! We'll definitely be revisiting.

These guys are fantastic. The food is superb (I had a goats cheese quiche and eggs with salmon on toast) but what really makes it stand out is the service. The staff here is so friendly, it’s a breath of fresh air from the usual aloof coffee shop treatment. What a joy!

Great little coffee shop, coffee is great and there is a huge selection of Pattisserie's. Staff were nice and friendly apart from the lady who served me today, she was very rude (not sure why as it was my first time here) Lots of tables at the back, good for chit-chat and also for those looking to do some work.

Regular customer of La Bakerie - our kids love their bakes. Their products are absolutely amazing, I started liking even things I never liked before and that's down to the quality of their bakes and to go with it an excellent customer service. Highly recommended. 10 croissants please.

I used to enjoy coming to this cafe, food is very good quality and atmosphere used to be nice. I used to like staff because they had a very high standard. Lately I haven't felt that at all with staff and I feel that a customer service training is very necessary. I made the decision I'll not be returning because there are many cafés nearby where customer service is at a much higher standard and simply more friendly.

Their sourdough is the best I've ever had. There's brownies are also the best I've ever had. If they're sold out when you go (which you should) then you'll know its because I bought and then ate them all.

The food here is excellent. You will not find a better cake or pastry in the area. A couple times I've been the staff have been a little abrasive. On my most recent trip the lady said "you need to order now as the kitchen is closing" as we were deciding, which I found a little rude.

We are regular customers at La Bakerie and we're always impressed by the dedication, passion, and creativity of the head pastry chef and owner. He has exceptional tastebuds, an eye for presentation, and one of the most personable people we know of. If you go to France and order a lemon tart or chocolate cake, you will be disappointed because La Bakerie sources local ingredients and only the highest to be baked in the shop, from scratch. Pastries that are made in the store are not victims to humidity and temperature changes and retain their shape, taste, and quality. Bread is also baked fresh inside La Bakerie every morning, meaning a 3am wake up call each day, just to get fresh bread to you every morning. Their crusty bread with a fluffy inside hence so much healthier than supermarket bread loaded with lots of preservatives. Italian barista-styled espresso coffee is what I'd describe the coffee here. Their cappuccino is always frothy and nicely decorated. Next to the till, the Head Chef makes his own crunchy biscuits that pair beautifully with your coffee or you can choose a soft fluffy honey coloured Madeleine instead. La Bakerie is exceptionally kid friendly supplying a box of a book, toy or magazine to entertain your little ones while you have an indulgent moment with your cake, tea, or coffee. There are very few high streets today with independent shops in the UK and I've seen La Bakerie flourish in the last 5 years. La Bakerie is a community player and the locals love it so much. I've seen local art work displayed on the wall, donations of baked goods at school events, and voluntary work in the local papers, led by the head chef. We are proud to have La Bakerie on our Wanstead high street and we are privileged to such a talented, experienced, pastry chef East London.

The cinnamon chai was good especially on a cold day today. Coffee is much better than many other places around that area. Ready food options could be more for example tuna and salmon sandwiches, etc.

A friend took me to La Bakerie after I suggested we meet at Gail's, so glad we went there. The coffee was great, tried the almond croissant and a madeleine (one of my favourite things!), which were both very good. The prices for eating-in were very reasonable in comparison to Gail's. Another wonderful experience. The coffee is the best I have found in Wanstead or South Woodford! Everything is made fresh on the premises and you can tell! The pastries, croissants and cakes are amazing! Fabien and Sabrina always make you feel welcome and they really care about there customers.
