What a wonderful addition to SE18! I'm sure I was just one of many Plumstead residents who became very excited to hear that a brand new, fancy coffee shop was coming to the area. My parents and I have lived in Plumstead well over 30 years now and we have never had a place like this before. Sure there are cafes and restaurants but I can't say that I have ever felt inspired to go in and try them out. I have been itching to get along to Lakedale Coffee since it opened last month. I had been following their account on Instagram and had enjoyed seeing the work that was being done on the interior. Today, I popped in and enjoyed a wonderful cup of coffee (I chose a Mocha) and a Pain au Chocolat... I also bought the last 3 Portuguese Tarts to take home to share with my parents 😋 The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Smooth jazz/cocktail lounge music gave the cafe a wonderfully chilled atmosphere and the decor was light and simple. They even have a retro arcade game for customers to enjoy and toys for children. With seating throughout - including an outside area, you will really enjoy visiting this little gem in Plumstead. A real breath of fresh air that is sure to add some class to lower SE18 at last! 🙌

My first visit! Very relaxing place to enjoy a coffee, I ordered a latte and it didn't dissapoint. They have a proper coffee machine in here. Everything on the menu is fairly priced. There is a garden area which is actually quite big,with tables and chairs. The whole place is very child friendly with a play area, play items, baby changing room and booster chairs for the little ones. Music and ambience is spot on, good people watching coffee shop with large windows. Bonus points for the retro arcade machine. I met the team today and they are very pleasant and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Very relaxed and modern coffee shop. There are plenty of options to sit inside or outside on a sunny day. There are plenty of options for coffee and the prices are reasonable. Staff were really friendly as well. Also an ideal place for parents with young children who can use the play area outside at the back. Would definitely recommend visiting this coffee shop! My only regret was not ordering a pastry which looked amazing!

Nice coffee! Mrs had a hot chocolate which she loved! And my bread pudding was delicious. Would of been better if bread pudding and coffee came out together not 10 minutes apart. Nevermind still an awesome coffee shop.

This place is a little gem. It has a great choice of coffees and a decent selection of food including very tasty cakes. The staff are lovely. The place is smart and comfy. Definitely a must for the Plumstead crowd.

At last! A proper coffee shop near Plumstead High Street. And they know their coffee too. You won’t be disappointed. They've achieved the impossible: it's kid- AND adult-friendly. Kids and parents can play in the outside area at the back while unkidded adults can have peace and quiet inside.

Great coffee and high quality cakes. Large decked area out the back with a children's play area. Most importantly staff are friendly and chatty. Definitely recommend.

Lovely cafe, they currently make coffees here, with pastries and cake. Very family friendly place, so you can bring your children along and they can play in/outdoors.
