Reviews of Lighthaus

I cannot reccomend Lighthaus highly enough. I've been in for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a lovely breakfast bap with a lovely crispy hash brown. Dinner blew my mind. Delicious and beautiful plates of food and excellent hospitality. Every single plate was a hit.

Superb spot for lunch. There's a lovely relaxed and confident feel to this hidden gem.
The food was seasonal, fresh and the menu items we tried delicious. We had most things on the menu and each dish had exciting flavour combinations and different textures. Nom nom.
The wine we had, a French dry white, was exception, and good value when shared between 4. We even bought a bottle to take home.
Coffee was well made and served in very unique pottery.
Child friendly, yup, very. We had two young children with us, the options for them were good, and there was plenty of things for them to explore in the workshops behind. We easily spent three hours here and enjoyed every minute!
Thank you Lighthaus for making us so so welcome.

Had a lovely late lunch at the Lighhaus Cafe, post meander around the marshes. Service was bright and friendly, not hovering, but there when need.
Food - interesting yet homely and satisfying. The sweetbreads like the best pop-corn chicken (but not chicken). While the pork ragu and polenta was rich, warming and wholesome, in that bottom of the belly kinda way.
Great coffees and a genius desert of deep fried cherry pie rounded it off.

Very tasty food and well prepared . Some dishes here are the same as 40Maltby street. Polite service. Good vfm . If you are sitting outside the opposite car repair / repaint stores might be too annoying with noise and smell. Would recommend

The team at LightHaus are always welcoming and this is a shining light in the area that doesn't have many to chose from.
The menu is always changing and seasonal and they always have a decent selection of larder bits to buy (coffee, eggs, milk, butter...) as well as organic wines and good craft beers.
Very dog and kid friendly too. Strong recommend!

An adorable hidden gem in Lea Bridge. Despite the seemingly normal presentation, the food is delicious! And the care to make the veggies (Swiss chard, I think) extra tasty was much appreciated.

This place is AWESOME! Having just bought a house in the area after living in Central London for more than 20 years, I miss amazing little local places like this that you often find in Hackney, Islington, Stoke Newington etc. This place reminds me of those awesome places. The ones where you have an incredible brunch with loads of delicious orange wine, in a nice relaxed setting with very pleasant warm service. Thank you for coming here and giving us another place to eat and helping me not miss my old home too much. Any foodies out there, this is the place for you. Whoever is making negative reviews here clearly doesn’t understand food or this type of concept. See you on Sunday guys, we’re coming again!! Keep up the great work and the incredible food ! ❤️❤️❤️

I visited the Lighthaus cafe Sunday February 27th for coffee and breakfast. I arrived a bit early before opening (9.25am so five minutes early). I was told with a sharp tone that they were not open just yet but it was really cold outside, I thought it would have been polite to let me sit inside and take my time ordering. I sat outside in the cold for 5 minutes. I found one lady on duty (not the lady with the American accent) quite abrupt in her interactions with me. I seldom give reviews but I really felt not welcome hence I am giving a review. When I ordered breakfast, she just seemed very hostile and unprofessional in her communication to be honest. The coffee and breakfast soft egg sandwich was lovely. I hate to complain but I think you need to hear this feedback.
