Reviews of Lockdown Bakehouse

Very good lamingtons, tasty kiwi style pies. Had brunch, brioche buns were great and generous Cumberland sausage. Staff gave us loads of ice with our drinks as was a burning hot day.

What a little hidden gem we came across!!! Best pies I tried in a very long time!!! This small cafe/shop is off Old York Road on Ferrier St but it is worth to go off high street to have cup of coffee with delicious freshly baked pie on a sunlit terrace next to the shop (of cause if the weather forecast allows)

Best lamingtons I’ve ever had! They were super light and fluffy, well coated with chocolate and coconut in just the right balance. Coffee was also really good, so I left there a fully satisfied customer. The lines are a bit of a wait, but I’d do the wait again.

Great little bakery with the best sourdough in SW18! They have a great selection of pastries and cakes, and the staff are always welcoming & friendly. They have just opened a pop up cafe next to the bakery which is delightful, I recommend the thick cut raisin toast with whipped cinnamon butter, perfect with a flat white.

Tried the chocolate lamington & cream cheese brownie - both were superb and at great prices too! Definitely would come around again when in the area.
A. L.
Amazing bakery, everything is delicious! The only downside is that you cannot sit on the terrace if you’ve only bought baked goods and a coffee. Or at least you couldn’t when I went there last time! Other than that perfect! Love love love

Good coffee lovely pastries and bread. Definitely worth a visit! The coffee isn't as strong as I like it but to be honest not many places do coffee as strong as I like. The pasties were really delicious and my son loved coming here as well. Keep up the good work.

Love this bakery, it's nice to have a varying menu and unusual bakes. So far my fav things have been the Passionfuit Yogurt & Mousse doughnut, the Pistachio Cruffin, the Lemon & Blueberry Muffin and the Sticky Toffee Loaf.
Honestly though I've enjoyed 99% of the things I've tried from here and the other 1% were just not to my taste but still done very well. There's more things I've missed that I'd love to try it's just a matter of getting there early enough sometimes.

This bakery is everything. I live close by so I visit often, and every single thing I’ve tried has been outstanding. As a New Zealander, I miss those kiwi style pies and Lockdown do the best ones! Their Guinness cake is unreal, and their doughnuts are also soooo nice. I struggle to find good coffee but Lockdown use really nice beans and I’ve always had good coffee experiences here! Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, the staff that work here are always so welcoming and lovely. I also think the food and coffee is really reasonably priced for London standards. And it’s such good quality!! I tell everyone about Lockdown Bakehouse and will be a frequent customer for as long as I live in London!

We absolutely LOVE lockdown bakehouse!!! Providing incredible baked goods, beautiful coffee, lovely staff. And for all us Kiwis and Aussies, a little taste of home!
Excited for the new cafe too!

Lockdown Bakehouse is one of the best (if not the best) bakeries in Wandsworth. Everything is wildly tasty and the staff are very friendly. The donuts need a special call out since they are amazing!
S. I.
High quality pastry and bakery products. Been three times already. Must try the hazelnut cruffin. Coffee is quite good too and the outdoor sheltered seating is very convenient - would help if it was cleaned more often!
A. G.
Who knew that something so great could come out of lockdown! These guys do it all. Amazing sourdough, baguettes, loaves & focaccia as well as cakes & pastries galore. Their doughnuts & cinnamon buns are up there with some of the best I've had! Oh, & the white choc & raspberry cookies. So good!

Awesome Aussie bakery with fantastic pies, sausage rolls and coffee, and all the other baked goodies.
Coffee is excellent as well!
1000x better than the chain coffee shop down the road!

Fantastic find - such a lovely place with a really helpful and friendly team. Food was fresh and tasty, service was great. Easy to use the app to order and not a long wait at all given there was a full house. They are genuinely dog-friendly (and graciously humoured my terrier who hits wanted to sniff everything in his sight) and made a casual brunch stop a real treat. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Thanks 🙌🏻

Best espresso in town for me + delicious bakes and paninis + friendly service = 5 well deserved stars
B. M.
Great quality produce and lovely, friendly staff, however, £3.50 for a small jam doughnut is a bit of a joke. Really keen to support local and small businesses, but prices like that do make it difficult.
M. D.
Best place to emerge out of the rubble of Covid. Love the Aussie products too.
G. N.
Wonderful and friendly bakery with coffee, fresh bread, desserts and hot items. The hot pies and rolls are particularly good and all reasonably priced
S. L.
Delicious treats & the best sausage roll EVER!! Also obsessed with the salted caramel tarts, just everything is delicious..chefs kiss
A. M.
The traditional vanilla slice OMG! Such good quality and delicious sweets, and MyPie pies are also amazing! I love this place
N. S.
It’s great; but their ‘ready to eat’ stock is soo streamlined that they cook about 2 veggie pies every three hours. Lovely yummy pies but harder to find than a needle in a haystack

It's OK... Christmas winter weekend visit. A touch let down by the not so fresh pastry.
Was late December so not peak time.

We had cakes and pastries given to us by Lockdown Bakehouse and they were so tasty, absolutely gorgeous pastries. Thank you for the lovely generous gift.

Little gem of a place where you can get a good coffee, some yummy sweet treats and a good PIE!

Nice little bakery. Everything I have tried so far from the sweet side was very good. They also know how to make good coffee! Only think I would be hoping for is that they permanently include the richer dougnuts (chocholate, caramel, nut or so) on the menu. I am personally not a big fan of that fruity and fancy stuff, even though even those exceeded my expectations.

A pop-up diner, with a sunny deck space, open for brunch & more, Fridays to Sundays. Great food from their bakery, and very friendly and efficient staff. The bakery itself is open for takeaways every day - I think - or at least many more days than the cafe space.

This place has amazing baked goods, the donuts are simply the best, oh and they do lamingtons 😍🇦🇺, and they sell the best pies by mypie which is a plus. Also really friendly staff.
W. M.
Great little Coffee Shop. Nice selection of products, quick service, very friendly staff and great tasting coffee. Had no problem using the Coffy app to redeem a drink either. 10/10 would recommend :)
O. K.
Coffee was ok. Vegan brownie was average. Price was very good, cheaper than other places. I will Come back to try some thing else and to buy bread

I wish we had found Lockdown Bakehouse sooner.. It is now a definite 40 minute Saturday morning walk (each way) to get bread for the week and sometimes (read always) just something extra.. Great coffee and awesome soda bread toasties.. Really worth a visit.. Don't mind the queue, it moves fast and is a good sign that my review is a honest reflection of how great this place is.
E. M.
Lockdown genuinely feels like the friendly neighborhood bakery you always dreamed off - fresh (literally often hot from the oven) bread and pastries which change daily and are always exceptional, great coffee and a team who always makes you feel welcome. I walk over from Fulham with my puppy as part of our daily exercise and it's worth every step - you can't find anywhere as good as Chris, Gabby, Eddie and the behind-the-scenes bake team have made Lockdown. Also genuine Aussie mince and cheese pies!!!
F. D.
I LOVE this bakery - if you are looking for Aussie treats like lamingtons and caramello koala donuts this is the place to go. Great, friendly service as well.
V. D.
Love this place, every time we go we try something different (menu changes everyday!) and the coffee is DELIGHTFUL. Can’t wait to get there to try the new brunch menu
