I had a wonderful experience here eating a fry up. It was the best fry up I have had at any cafe. Everything stayed warm and was the perfect size. Good quality ingredients. They cooked the eggs exactly as I requested. Very friendly service. Very efficient and reasonably priced I’ll definitely come back

This is one of my fave East London eateries. Very good service and attention to customers with a relaxing laidback charm. Lovely menu choices and I really enjoyed my dish the chilli hotdog. Also great drinks and cocktails, try the Hackney Cup its lit! 👌🏾

Decent brunch place with outdoor seating. Pretty hipster joint with good coffee and a varied brunch menu. We had the ham hock hash and the Shashuka, both were nice but not out of the ordinary. Good space to drop in if passing by!

At the end I decided to finish with a cheese cake (amazing) and some coffee ( horrible). And the people with me, said the same. I hope they will change the coffee. Went for weekend lunch and had cheeseburger and chicken schnitzel burger. Both were ok - but much better food on the market. Only benefit of the place is that it's indoors and can sit down. Also very noisy inside - hard walls everywhere just bounce the noise around so not very relaxing.

My local cafe and I love it. Every weekend we say "let's try somewhere new" and then we walk past our favourite place, Market Cafe, and can't help but go here. Every time. The service is always warm and welcoming, the food is consistently good, it's bright, light and airy and above all the atmosphere is just perfect.

Warm and cosy place on a cold afternoon , great coffee place atmosphere. Would have given 4+stars but my mushroom/poached eggs toast (not on the pic) was burnt and had little taste only. Avocado Toast according to my companion good!

The place has some unusual items on the menu compared to other cafes in the area which makes it interesting. The interior is nicely done and if you're lucky to be seated in the front area there's lots of sunshine and a view of Broadway Market. Service was quite slow even with a half house and one guy looked particularly arrogant with guests, but our waitress at least apologised for the slowness and was generally nice.

My favorite spot for brunch. The menu is well thought and well priced. It's usually really tasty. Dessert portions are generous. They regularly change the menu. It's quite noisy as somehow they really fit a lot of people in it. The team is friendly and they seem to like there restaurant which had to the comfy feeling of having brunch there

They have a nicely varied menu. Not too many options as to be overwhelming, but something for every taste and dietary requirement. Service was pretty quick and super friendly. I got a quick explanation of some menu items and some helpful recommendations. The vibe was a chilled out spot to go solo, with friends or on a casual date. I will definitely be back for the fresh juices and well balanced dishes.

Staff is friendly. But their Avo toast is the smallest toast I’ve eaten in London. The sourdough they use is so thin and small that makes me still feel hungry after eating it. I had to order another plate of sausage. and no salt & pepper served. I wouldn’t recommend considering its price and portion and quality.

I was visiting a gallery down the road and wanted heating up before my ride how. Unfortunately the restaurant has closed and they didn’t sell bar snacks. I asked for a coffee but they cashed up. What a bummer! But those lovely folks kindly gave me a coffee on the house, what super stars, they don’t know how happy they made me. Thanks guy! It’s a lovely place with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If I’m ever in the neighbourhood I’ll definitely pop in again. It’s also dog friendly which is amazing.

I've been in quite a few times recently, often there is a chap working there with a lady, both are accomodating and very welcoming. The guy makes an amazing coffee, skills 👌 I was in today 4pm 13/11/19. Five stairs because of these two alone. *Great views *Great room, *Not the best toilets though, downstairs via steps, *I haven't eaten much of the food but when I did, I was happy with the price and quantity, quality personally. *Lots of single folk working on laptops *Appears very dog friendly *Great location

It's a really nice place and often not as busy as some of the other Broadway Market pubs. Our waitress was really friendly, the pulled pork burgers were tasty and the wine was nice and not too dear. Maybe drinking three bottles of it wasn't such a great idea but they're not responsible for my bad decisions

Located nicely, with lots of sun light as it’s being a corner of the building, but lacks air conditioning on hot days. Menu consists of simple stuff with ingredients of a fine supermarket quality, which makes it feel slightly overpriced compared to other places within the area. I had reasonable but not high expectations for this place. It looked good from the outside and was reasonably priced with a decent menu. The coffee was very average. Not terrible, but it way way too hot, wasn't double shot like I ordered and just generally lacked the quality you'd expect in central London. The pancakes with banana and bacon were also pretty mediocre. They were over cooked and just didn't really taste that great. They came with a reasonable amount of bacon and banana but I wouldn't bother getting them again. Staff were friendly and efficient. But due to the bad coffee and average food I wouldn't bother coming back. So many amazing alternate options on Broadway market.

Guy at the door was lovely. Was busy but he was inviting and asked us to wait a bit for a table. Waited at the bar which serves more as a service area for food and drinks. Staff behind the bar totally ignored us, they were obviously trying too hard to be cool and totally forgot that their job is to serve customers. Was annoyed about it (I think I’m easily annoyed 😬). Waiting staff were so lovely though. Spicy Buttermilk Chicken! Get it if not Vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian. OMG! Tastiest, tastiest chicken I’ve ever had to taste! Compliments to the chef 👌🏼

Been there a couple of times and each time has been a lovely experience. Staff are super friendly and the food is delightful and reasonable. During the week you can often get a window overlooking the canal to watch fixies and canal boats swan past. Would recccomend to anyone seeking a place to work in the day or to brunch with friends at the weekend.

Have to admit, I was eating my meal reading the negative complaints here to entertain myself. Food was great (steak sandwich & fries), took a while but it was during their brunch time so they were probably more prepped for fry ups and typical brunch stuff. Staff were friendly, don’t see what all the fuss is about unless it’s a recent line up change, both staff that spoke to be were polite and friendly, can’t ask for much else really. Overall, banging filling lunch, bit pricey but what do you expect for a steak sandwich really!

Boyfriend had the fry up but it was typical trendy cafe in that it was small portions (beans in a teeny cup for example), albeit tasty. Tried to overcharge us for swapping something for hash brown. My boyfriend and I come to this Cafe all the time for Breakfast and Brunch. It's very cute and very bright and open. Also love their Traditional English Breakfast they Serve. The Burrata on the Menu is delicious. Only thing is sometimes the service is quite slow and you just have to walk up to the counter to ask for the cheque or ask for something.

You know those places you always end up coming back to time and time again? And each time you say “shall we try somewhere new this time?” but then you just go back to the same place because it’s consistently great? Well this is one of those places. The staff are exemplary, the food is fantastic, the location is spot on, the locals love it (myself included) and it’s very unlikely to be disappointed. It’s also a perfect sun trap so you can sit both in or outside and soak up some rays any time of year.

I like coming here for a drink or a late night cup of tea when I need to work. Busy at weekends but week nights you’ll easily be able to find yourself a table. Good playlists on the speaker system and it’s not too loud either which makes Market Cafe a nice place to go for a chilled chat or date. Weekend brunches are delicious but the Saturday market makes this a popular place to eat and drink!

A Charming marketside bar, with a continental atmosphere. The outside tables, all marble and cast iron are, come summertime, prime people watching real estate. The drinks offering is varied but central European inspired, with positive spins put on classic french and Italian aperitifs, a brief but well curtated beer and wine selection offers itself as a fine supporting act. Nibbles and small plates accompany what really is a fine drinking experience. There must be no better place on Broadway market to drink away the troubles of the day.

A succulent baby chicken lightly rubbed with Harissa, butterflied before grilling, accompanied with spicy fresh Rocket and Raita. The bird arrived after one of our hungrier companions had already polished off their Pappardelle with Beef Shin Ragout – apparently they lost the chicken order, completely. We had to send back the Crab Ravioli to be “Al Dente-fied”... a new one arrived, without question, even more delicious. Any busy restaurant that deals with the occasional, and inevitable, blunder with such grace and sincerity is easy to forgive. I will be back. –Tuesday Night Mike
