What a fantastic renovation! A really nice cafe with a nice outside space... Seems to be missing an inside space that they had previously for kids to play. But all in all looks amazing! Looking forward to seeing my first show here in a month or so!

Amazing theatre for kids. Nicely refurbished few years back with comfortable seats. Great shows that take this young audience on a great journey of theatre experience.

It's a terrible shame that the exterior of the building has lost all of It's beautiful, friendly character since its recent refurbishment but the inside, although different, is welcoming, warm and exciting for little folk and older ones alike. Lots to keep the small ones occupied whilst you wait for show time and the activities continue after the show too. The cafe is well stocked (as was the gift shop) with friendly staff all over the building who are happy to help and interact with all who enter.

Excellent venue, theatre, workshops and baby/toddler classes. Indoor play area is perfect for those rainy days and outdoor play area is lovely. The cafe is super cosy and perfect to catch up with friends with little ones in tow.

Lovely place, full of activities for the little ones too. And some are free, like the play area with colours and drawings, dress up corner, magnetic board and lots more. They now also have an outdoor space for the older kids ! Love it

Fabulous childrens theatre - and so much more. Everything is really well thought out. Saw a good production in a small theatre, good views even at the back. Afterwards there was a big lovely indoor play area with a corner with books, another with colouring pencils and paper, another work fancy dress and a magnetic board with shapes. There’s a small outdoor play area with a two story wooden house to climb in with a fireman’s pole. Then a cafe with kid friendly food (small cheese and ham sandwiches, popcorn, Bear snacks, etc) and a shop. Lots of colourful art / wooden sculptures. Lovely feel all round, highly recommend.

We went to the Polka this afternoon as a family and we really enjoyed The Night Before Christmas performance and the renovation of the building.
Lovely café and friendly atmosphere all around.
The only change I would make is the shop doesn't take cash, how are children supposed to buy things with their pocket money? Some items are 50p etc perfect pocket money amount .
