Reviews of St James's Café
Y. F.
A peace and a piece of jewel ❤️ love it, not only it has a good, perfect, unexpected location of being amongst the busy streets in the heart of London, near the Queen;) surrounded by a very charming and enchanted lake, with unbelievable bird variety, fully lived fountain, beautiful architectural landscapes, it also has nice food, tasty hot chocolate with joyous little marshmellos that tickle the happiness in my taste buds, finishing with super smoothed cream. Nice, humble, pleasant atmosphere with the big windows to appreciate "decor" of outsidy world!
K. H.
Have to give them a great review. Ordered a chai latte and mulled wine. The mulled wine was a bit sharp for my partners taste, they were lovely and let us change the drink.
Great selection of food and snacks in a beautiful park.
A. S.
Ordered two items off their menu and was told I was too late for one and too early for the other. Tried to order another coffee and they said they were out. Then listened to the staff arguing over my order. It wasn't a pleasant experience. It is a beautiful cafe, in a great location and my friends order looked delicious.
R. N.
Amazing views, so worth a pit stop, when out touring since morning.
Had ample bike locking spots, though you could also stand then against railing if locking is too much effort.
Also has both inside and outdoor seating.
I picked up homemade lemonade for the return cycle ride of 15 miles.... And it quenched my thirst perfectly.
A. L.
It’s a bit chilly in the winter but they have a very nice hot cocoa! Also go for soup of the day and you will be pleased! Amazing view of the lake is also a plus!
K. S.
This cafe located in the heart of arguably THE BEST London park (aka St. James’s Park) has THE BEST iced latte (trust me, I’ve tried loads) and even offers you a discount if you bring your own reusable cup!!
They also have a great selection of sandwiches/wraps/salads and hot food all of which look incredible. Their vegan food selection is awesome as well - the falafel wrap is definitely worth a try!
Oh and the staff are all super friendly - what else is there to ask? :D
L.
This is a great cafe to stop by for a drink, breakfast or lunch.
It has a large space inside with a nice wooden interior, as well as an outdoor seating area running all along the building.
I really like the selection of food and drink here (from Benugos). They have a bit of everything like salads, sandwiches, crisps, pastries, cakes, softdrinks and draught beers. They also have a menu for breakfast and hot food made by the open kitchen.
It's on the slightly pricy side eg. a regular muffin is £3.25 but it depends on what you order.
You can order via the QR code or go up to order.
The staff are always friendly, as are the other customers.
For those who have babies/toddlers, try the Babyccino! - creamy frothy whole milk with an option dusting of cocoa powder. They also have baby changing facilities.
Will be coming here again and again!

Food wasn't amazing but I feel that was more due to ingredients then skill. Chef had to help waitress as she didnt seem to know what to do. She wasn't very good with customer service and she just threw dirty cutlery loosely on the table. This place is in a good location and has wc.
S. B.
Bit of a disorganised wait but a nice break location for tea or coffee
P. K.
Good breakfast, great setting, esp if you sit on the terrace
G. D.
Lovely location and friendly staff indoor and outdoor seating with all the food and drinks you'd expect to find in a coffee shop plus a larger menu.
T. M.
The coffee was very impressive, in line with speciality coffee shops which was a very pleasant surprise.
You have a great view of the park whilst enjoying a drink in the cafe.
l. m.
Great service and location, visited on a Sunday morning so wasn't too busy at that time of day, drinks were served in a timely manner, and tasted great
m. m.
Nice food, little pricey, beautiful surroundings, friendly staff.
M. P.
Relaxed atmosphere, coffee served in good time too. We came on a wet cold day so not sure how busy this place gets in summer but was very comfortable and plenty of tables
A. H.
Lovely coffee and good view, busy and had to waite for my coffee but worth it. Nice clean facilities and short walk to the palce.
m. k.
Nice place to grab a bit to eat while strolling in the park. The food was mediocre with decent prices. Great scenery. The only downside to this place is how long you have to wait to go to the bathroom. But overall great place to dine and observe the scenery.
I. S.
Lovely cafe in the middle of the beautiful park, currently run by Benugo. Great coffees & excellent falafel wraps! Helpful staff. Plenty of seating inside & outside with stunning views of the pond & the wildlife.
P. T.
Possibly the best cafe in London, and pleasantly no sky high prices.
Just perfect location and good honest food and drinks
M. M.
Great location, good menu choice and reasonably priced for central London and staff are very courteous and helpful.
C. H.
Ultra busy so service was chaotic. When you finally get it the coffee is nice.
C. D.
not a bad place to warm up after a walk in the park. enjoyed the mulled wine)
Z.
Superb. Beautiful views of the fountain. You can order with phone from table and they bring it! Loos.
J. T.
Amazing place. The location is quiet impressive and they have vegetarian and vegan options, they use homemade vegan cheese! Totally recommend it!
F. R.
Great food, nice location:) the hot food selection starts at 12 o'clock so don't be too early. Maybe the best mocha I've had.
J. “. H.
Stopped off for a mid morning coffee and loved it that much came back for lunch after visiting the tourist sites! Set in the beautiful St James Park! Highly recommend a visit!
C. M.
A clean and well laid out café with inside and outside seating. Staff are friendly and refreshments are tasty and fairly priced.
U. #.
St James cafe is one of our favourite cafes in London! Food is to a high standard, staff are friendly and the location is excellent.
P. G.
Really nice food, recommend especially the fish and chips. Polite and helpful staff.
C. B.
Lovely venue for a quick summer pitstop. Very expensive but I suppose on point for a Central London picturesque venue. Felt the sandwich choices (by Benugo) were slightly limited I felt but despite the price (£5.95), was really tasty. Service was a bit slow which was challenging on a lunch break but pleasant enough.
E. N.
Vegetarian meal serve at here, good environment and price are reasonable.
Big and comfortable place are good for gathering😘
N. D.
Really nice place to sit out and have a drink or some food... lots of great vegan options, including this salted caramel ice cream - the guy who served us was really nice and the serving size very generous :D
M. R.
It was a very nice place to stop off and have some food to eat. We used the app on our phone to order and it was fairly straight forward. The staff were friendly and approachable.
V. I.
Great place with very good service and food.
Ideal for a snack or a hot cup of tea after a walk in the park!
a. r.
Nice cafe although fairly busy, which is to be expected due to its proximity to trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
Grab a lovely ham and cheese baguette and wander along to see the pelicans!
A. B.
Quick service and a quiet coffee away from then hustle and bustle of London
N. T.
Great cafe with good coffee and tea, and (apparently) lovely chocolate-cake.
S. I.
Friendly staff and good quality food. Although it was a busy Sunday, the toilet was still fresh and smelling good at the end of the day and everything was refurbished.
i. B.
Had a sugar-free decaf oat Latte and wholemeal spiced vegetable wrap ...Delicious!
F. C.
After a long walk around the St Jame's park i seen this beautiful wooden building and decided to drink a cofee. They have big variety of pastrie and Snacks, good place to stop and rest in the middle of the park.
C. B.
Great place. Friendly staff. Good food. I has fish and chips.
S. C.
Great food with a gorgeous view
C. C.
Nice place to visit and watch the world go by.
Great choice of menu, friendly staff.
Idea for everyone. Easy access.
S. C.
Very nice and clean friendly staff . Coffee was lovely ,food looked lovely. Can't wait to go back
A. W.
Pleasant place to relax and have refreshments or a meal. I enjoyed the fish and chips.
X. S.
Nice place for a full breakfast. Our kids also enjoyed very much. Plenty of choice and good quality.
D. B.
Good coffee. Nice loos. Have not tried food but Benugo so should be nice.
S. C.
Very busy but clean and good quality coffee
Y. Z.
You can have a hot chocolate Jackdaniels latte hear. Thank me later
E.
Pretty good food for a central London cafe and amazing location - well worth a visit
V. V.
After sightseeing we stopped in this cafe on our way to grab a snack and a glass of wine (a glass of wine is a very good size lol). Very nice location in the park near the water. It’s a perfect place to chill out in the summer time. Maja and Marko are very polite and helpful! Thank you!
B.
Lovely delightful cafe, comfortable and relaxing, plenty of spaces inside and out. Nice coffee, nice staff.
M. L.
It's coffee and cake - expensive coffee and cake.
Nice setting though and very peaceful.
D. D.
Best location for taking a rest from strolling in London
N. H.
Lovely park lots of space and shade for a picnic
L. W.
Nice convenient cafe in the park - great for a sunny day!
J. B.
Clean, reasonably priced with a nice view of the wildlife on the water.
P. W.
Surprisingly good for a cafe in peak tourist zone and we'll designed to blend into iconic park. Nice healthy options as well as packed sandwiches, salads. Price fair for such a location and good quality. Good choice of cakes. Lots of outside seating, bar style seats with great views over lake. Service slow; ladies loos clean but inadequate & dark & airless for visitor numbers.
D. W.
Great setting. Nice food and drink. Clean toilets. Shelter outside. Happy staff. Disabled friendly. 10% off got drinks if you bring your own reusable cup. What's not to like!
S. P.
A friend and I grabbed some sandwiches, fresh cakes and coffees to go and enjoyed them on a nearby bench. There is plenty on the menu including a range of cold takeaway items and a cooked menu, too. Lots of seating inside and out, the staff were friendly and prices quite reasonable. I’d certainly recommend this cafe for lunch in a beautiful setting.
J. G.
We visited here today and loved it! Lots of space, bright, comfy, great food! We had BLTs and they were banging! Coffee was great, smoothies not so, and they only had couple Childrens pack lunches available! Staff were polite and welcoming. Definitely will visit again if walking through!
B. J.
Affordable options for food and a nice atmosphere.
A. F.
Delightful, tranquil, lovely staff, peaceful view, great food and drink.
C. H.
I like that every purchase supports the Royal Parks! It's been a long awaited lunch here as we have walked passed many times wondering about the food. I ordered grilled corn and my partner ordered the vegan pasta option. The food was ok. I guess because of the high turnover of customer there is little time for presentation so our food looked simple not bad nor appetising. I like the view of the park too and the convenience and I think a buffet type of set up would make this place even more exciting - with healthy and wholesome option!
T. J.
Great place to sit and enjoy a drink when visiting St James Park
A. D.
Seemingly always busy and a popular spot for tourists. The prices are somewhat steep and the way they run the operation (asking you to place your order in one location and then collect your food from another) could be more carefully thought out. The queueing system is also something of a free for all, however the food and drink, although expensive, are generally always of a high quality.
B. M.
Good service. Could do with a better selection of cake.
D. M.
We have a very good coffee here.
G. K.
Lovely and warm on a cold afternoon.
A. D.
The museum has a large supply of historical fact along with exhibits. Situated wher it is the are pleasant views and seating areas. If you like to learn about our vibrant city then Docklands should be on your list. I enjoyed my visit and entry is free.
B.
I got the fish and chips at that restaurant. The portion sizes are okay, but the fish was a bit slimy. It's always busy with tourist, so the prices are higher than others. However, the view is amazing and it is a decent place for a snack.
R. W.
We went to this cafe for breakfast and we came out with our bellies full. Had the best breakfast we've ever had and was affordable. Love the fact that it's based in the centre of the park as you get a stunning view in every direction whilst enjoying a wonderful breakfast.
D. R.
Nothing better than the view over St James Park when drinking a coffee. Ideal stop off in between meetings, plenty of space. They do sever food and alcohol however I have only ever had coffee. Quality of the coffee is good. Service was quick and hassle free.
S. V.
Great spot to just enjoy the view of the park. They have various types of hot chocolate and it is very delicious. They also have different cakes and cookies that are also very tasty. Overall a very nice place for an afternoon tea :)
s. K.
This a big and busy cafe in the middle of St James park close to the Mall, very bright and roomy and the Breakfast extremely nice. Although the one thing that irks me when I am in London is the extortionate prices for a pint of lager £5.50 a pint again I let as if the staff member behind the counter was wearing a balaclava as Londoners definitely know how commit daylight robbery as usual! The staff at the pubs and cafes in London should just wear balaclavas 24/7 and get it over with.
S. K.
Lovely location and probably OK during the day but our visit was spoilt by the cafe closing process. We ordered a bottle of wine so we could sit and chat outside from about 6pm on a lovely sunny Friday evening, knowing it would shut at 8pm so plenty of time. What we didn't expect was to be asked by the staff to move to different tables 4 times so they could clear the tables and chairs in each section. They didn't explain where we could sit. Very badly managed! Why not just say the outside shuts at 7.30 and the inside at 8pm rather than keep moving everyone? You'd then avoid lots of frustrated customers.
A. L. A.
My family and I were surprised because this cafe was a nice pit stop in the middle of our walking and they had quite a decent amount of vegan options. We tried their nachos, sweet potato fries and an oat latte. All were delicious and made ready fast. We also got a salad from the cold bar that was already prepared. I enjoyed the view from their glass windows.
N. D.
Nice place to stop if you want a more substantial meal than provided by the small shacks around the park.
Enjoyed the scones and tea. Pigeons are quite the bother as they are used to tourists feeding them from table. If you're not a fan of the birds then I'd recommend sitting inside.
T. R.
We sat outside on a sunny day with some coffee and a cake. For both it was just under £7 which some might find expensive but the cake is really worth it. They usually have unusual flavours and they're done really, really well. It can be busy so expect to queue for a while but if the weather is nice there's not a better place to sit and admire the beautiful view of the park.
P. J.
Valerie was amazing, our 2 year old son need help and see really went beyond the call of duty. Thank you!
P.
Many tourists. Normal coffee, nothing special. Self-service
P. L.
Good coffee, nice takeaway food, nice new cafe in the park. Very slow and disorganised service. Often staff just stand around watching you while one poor guy Mans the coffee machine. Cooked meals are quite bland, particularly the burger which was disappointing.
S. C.
This is one our favorite breakfast places in London. Central Location, beautiful views and attentive waitstaff. The pancakes are fluffy and quite tasty! Lunch was a bit more pricy and foodie inclined but we stick to brunch and breakfast here. Would highly recommend a reservation as it makes the meal that much easier to get in!
N. R.
We were so happy to stumble upon this beautiful place in the middle of St. James's park. It filled our bodies and souls with warmth and let us carry on with our meditative journey through rich flora and fauna of the park. ❤️🌿🌳🦢🐦🦆🕊️
W. N.
We were in the queue for over 40 minutes waiting for a table.Nobody warned us that the kitchen closed at 16.30, so by the time we sat down, we couldn't order a hot meal which we were craving for.
R. Z.
Over-priced, but that to be expected so close to Buckingham palace. Staff could be a bit more friendly and smile a little to be more approachable. On other side, our order (coffee and ham baguette) was rather on a good side!
R. S.
Very clean ,price of coffee was good latte cost £2:95
C. E.
Lovely cafe polite staff.
S. S.
The location is impeccable. The food was great too and not too pricey- we got a scone, almond croissant, a sausage roll and some vegetables for 12£. The drinks however are another story and will cost you £££. Really nice place though especially in the summer
K. G.
Wonderful view of the park while you eat
Food selection is decent
The food itself is good. I have the chicken vegetable pie
Desert was a little less sweet and more sour for my tastes, but I'm also American where everything is more sweet overall. I had the apple almond pastry
R. B.
Perfect place to have a little snack and drinks in the heart of St James's parc. Food is tasty and fresh and the coffee is superb. It can be very crowded but due to fast service that's not a real problem and they've got more then enough tables so you will find a seat anyway.
Just a little advice: always provide glasses (with or without icecubes) when a customer pays for the drinks, we had to ask for it.
ps: I think the name of this cafe should be "St James's Park Cafe".
E. S.
The food was lovely as we chose the outdoor bbq which was a really nice, summery option. However when ordering, after several misunderstandings from staff about what we wanted and being told about various incorrect offers, we had a long wait for the chef to show up. The one member of staff trying to rectify this for us was met with sarcastic and unhelpful comments from other staff which didnt help resolve the issue for her or the customer. When the chef did arrive it turned out they didnt even have one of our choices available and we had to reorder. Further to this, upon arriving we attempted to visit the toilet and were told we couldn't as we hadn't bought anything yet. As we were intending to (and did) use the bbq this meant the only way we could only have used the bathroom was if we took our food in with us once we'd purchased it. Overall- it felt like a lot of effort to get simple, takeaway food and drink but the end product was nice.
G. M.
Nice food, good place for an afternoon
O. N.
One thing great about London is its parks, and Saint James Park is one of my favorites, with its beautiful pond and birds, among other things. So St James's Café is perfectly located in th middle of the park near the ducks and with a terrace, this is the ideal spot to rest and enjoy. The food and coffee are nothing to complain about, so yes this is one of the things to check when you are around the Picadilly area.
J. M.
Good place to stop during your walk in the park. Clean and fast service.
T. l. R.
This lovely café is located in the beautiful parc St. James. The staff is very friendly and they have a good selection of fresh food and drinks. It's the perfect spot for a little break, personally I really enjoyed the wraps and the homemade sugarfree lemonade.
P. B.
Food is lovely and excellent service.
k. b.
Visited yesterday for a lunch reservation for 6 of us. It was chaotic, disorganised and NOISY. The restaurant area needs to be better segregated from the buffet/self service area because our meal was often disrupted and not at all relaxing, despite the beautiful setting. The waiter was on a different planet all together, but our food miraculously arrived correctly and was delicious. As we tried to relax for coffee after to carry on an important meeting, people tried to join our table as 3 guests had departed, leaving us constantly interrupted. Service was poor and inattentive, often had to go ask for things, but not surprising considering the crazy layout.
R. R.
Good service and not too busy. My flat white was nice.
s. l.
Nice environment and food.
C. S.
Good variety of lovely food at reasonable prices.
K. W.
A really nice spot, and if you're wanting it for the view then its perfect. I expected a little more from the tea than a teabag dunked in some boiled water, but it was very nice tea, and the cakes were very nice. Its a little pricey, but overall, I'd suggest going there.
W. N.
No baby change, considering how many families come to visit, this is a big must. Or maybe is because it is in the disable toilet which is ALWAYS locked. Seating is pretty limited inside, so when the rain hits, it get busier than the peak hour tube.
A. D. S. (.
For the price the food could have been better. Otherwise I can't say anything really bad about it.
There was a great view and I tried the chicken mayo sandwich and some sort of pot pie wasn't really paying attention when picking.
A. M.
Lovely little space in the heart of St James' Park. Walkable from Westminster station. Friendly staff was a good plus cause I used TGTG app. The portion was very generous and tasty. Will come back!
A. P.
So central and on a sunny day a nice place to chillax with a cup of tea or your favourite brew. A little touristy given the location but nonetheless the staff are friendly and desserts are super tasty
M. D.
Wonderful setting. Nice coffee
M. K.
Prime location makes for a great venue in the heart of the park, and Peyton and Byrne food ensures quality product - but don't expect good service on a sunny afternoon - it gets extremely busy. Fortunately mid week, once the work crowd has moved on, it's a nice relaxing place to sit and spend a couple of hours with a g&t.
B. O.
Very helpful, nice to sit inside on a hot day. Would go back if in stJames park .
J. H.
Although the food was good it was rather pricey and the toilet facilities could have been cleaner and more inviting. The entrance was at the top of a flight of stairs which were quite steep at one side so not good for less able people or wheelchairs.
W. W.
Nice cafe, what really makes it is the park itself.
S. I.
Apart from the massive queue for coffee, which blocked the route to food and have the impression that there was a long wait. This was great, really good fish🐠 and chips🍟. Seating a bit limited, it was a cold day and lots of people were having ☕. Sort out the queue and 5 stars.
E. S.
Nice cafe, good food with fantastic views over the park. Can be very busy and the furniture is a little basic but a great place for a relaxed catch up
V. N.
We were sitting outside all the time. Coffee was nice but I can't say anything about food.
But if you want to take rest in the park in front of the amazing pond this place is the best choice.
D. M.
Great coffee; awesome classical music
A. D.
Pleasant mix of self-service drinks, snacks, hot food and fine dining. High prices but this seems reasonable for the prime location in the middle of St James Park with a fine view of the lake. The morning muffin is especially tasty.
D. N.
A nice bar and restaurant set in a tranquil location in one of London's beautiful parks. Set into the side of a small mound, a path extends over the top where you can sit and have drinks, though be warned, the evening sun doesn't make through to many parts of this area due to the number of trees surrounding it. The restaurant closes quite early in the evening, so take care to check opening times.
A. B.
We had a pleasant stroll through St James's Park and decided to have Sunday roast at Inn the Park. Great choice available on the menu plus the usual Sunday roast fares. We opted for the Whole Roast Chicken for two to share. After half an hour, we began to wonder where our food was and then the biggest chicken I have ever seen on a plate arrived. This is the first chicken I've met that I simply could not finish (well not comfortably and/or without scaring any nearby children at least). Even for the size, the meat was succulent, delicious and cooked well all the way through. I gather that ours was particularly large, but do be warned that this menu item is massive. The dessert list looked amazing but we just could not fit anything else in. Atmosphere was fine as we sat outside on a lovely sunny day, and service was also decent. More walking through the park afterwards was thoroughly needed!
T. B.
It's the little things that make my day - a decent cup of coffee, delicious home-made cake, watching my daughter's excitement at the sight of a squirrel, and basically, just taking the time to appreciate those special moments that actually matter. I had a revelation here, in the sun, sipping on lukewarm coffee - expect nothing, appreciate everything. I wasn't expecting such bliss on a Tuesday morning, just taking my daughter out for a walk in the park, but it was a perfect moment. Excuse me now, going to put What a Wonderful World on repeat for the rest of the day.
N. J. A.
The food and drink can be expensive here, but they only charge four pounds in the morning for a coffee and a croissant. The men's toilets have been hammered with age and overuse and are not clean to the same standards as the cafe area.
A.
Good little coffee shop in St James's park. Fair amount of seating inside and out. Expect to pay London prices for the food. Drinks are a reasonable price.
K. G.
For the location alone, the rooftop terrace make this large park Cafe a wonderful place to be on a balmy summer evening.
Grab a bite to eat and something to drink then head on upstairs to the terrace.
Lovely location.
S. D.
I was a tired and hungry tourist when I came across this cafe. It was perfect. I had a sandwich and some coffee and a muffin on the patio in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended
S. F.
Ah, a piece of cake, coffee, and some sunlight on a lazy afternoon in the middle of the working week. I indulged in this pleasure recently as I had taken some time off work. Hadn't sat here before as the queues were putting me off but I realise it's been a huge mistake. Great cake in all kinds of flavours and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming.
J. W.
Pleasant staff, could have been a bit cleaner.
E. M.
I attended this amazing place yesterday morning. I enjoyed the sunrise while sipping my coffee after having my complementary breakfast. Top destination to make your day special. Strongly recommended!
C.
Very nice place in the middle of the Park. It can be very busy, but the cakes, scones etc. are totally worth the wait! One point of attention, the toilets are not very clean.. (-1*)
L. E.
You need to download an app to be able to order. No good if you don't have a Smart phone.
A. V. L.
Self serve counter style cafe set within St. James Park, London at the Horse Guards end. Overlooks one end of the lake. Slightly on the expensive side, but this is London! (small can of beer was £4). Useful though when you're desperate for a drink when it's hot!
D. W.
Great location. Bring some bird seed or nuts and you can feed the birds and squirrels when you have finished. Lovely hot chocolate
N. L.
Nice cafe but pricey as hell!!
w. s.
Pretty nice coffee
A. S.
Good coffee shop with quality coffee and cakes. Good value for money and very nice staff.
Beautiful location in the middle of St James's park.
Hygiene of washrooms needs to be improved.
A. G.
The restaurant is perfect for meeting with friends or even having a business appointment. The view provides a perfect, calm eating atmosphere. The service is one of the best around with polite staff and big menu.
M. L.
We have tried coffee, tea and scones in this cafe. In my view, coffee was a little bit bitter, so I would recommend to ask for a sencha tea that was perfect! And, of course, scones were amazing!
A. S.
Good location with nice views over the lake, great for a summer lunch. The cooked food is good quality for the price, but the pre-prepared selection is rather lack-lustre.
B. M.
A really nice cafe with reasonable prices for the great location. This is one of London's most beautiful parks and this is a great place for a refresher beside the lake.
E. E.
Loved the taste of their Coffee ☕...many thanks XxX.
I. D.
Wonderful. A nice place for tea and cake.
J. D.
St James' Cafe is operated by Benugo, which is a well established contract caterer. It's like a 'Spoons, where you quote your table number to order food. Tip: check your receipt for the toilet door security code!
F. M.
Lovely building and a great spot to sit and have breakfast in the sun overlooking the greenery. Only issue is its overpriced. Saying that, the eggs and salmon on toast I had were very nice!
s. s.
Visited with a family.Food was great.
It is nice to see that all staff members were very happy and welcoming. Excellent customer service. Welldone to the restaurant Manager!
L. A.
Best hot chocolate I had in London. Maybe I was looking on the wrong places but on my way to Buckingham palace I found this place and it definitely warmed my way the rest of the walk.
C. P.
Great lunch spot with great food. The best, most cheddariest mac & cheese I have ever had. Sea bass was great too.

Great place, great food and great pelicans!
R. M.
Great setting in the middle of St James Park in the middle of the plants and overlooks the pond. Located just off The Mall, Inn The Park is the perfect place to either refuel, meeting place in serene surroundings. Great tea!
A. S. T.
Just a very nice clean cafe in St James Park
c. w.
Beautiful spot with views of the lake, Horse-guards, London Eye and the chimes of Big Ben in the distance.
However, suffers from an identity crisis! Is it a bar, cafe or restaurant. Currently trying to cater for all three ineffectively, service inconsistent and prices reflect restaurant aspirations which the format is cafe!
J. J.
Expensive but a reasonable range of produce
N. A.
Great stop while walking in the St. James Park and heading to the Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and all the beautiful spots nearby! Delicious coffee and pastries!
A. O.
Positives: Staff are friendly & coffee is alright. Negatives: Facilities could be a bit better such as expanding the toilets. Cakes are usually dry.
L. M.
Really good food, enjoyed the experience and the view. However it was a bit crowded and was slightly overpriced for what it was (although that's to be expected as it was in St James' Park).
G. W.
A bit like a school canteen, but it was a hot day and l needed a drink. The outdoor seating area attracts pigeons, a problem which could probably be minimised by changing the design of the seating area.
S. D.
Lovely coffee and pastries
S. T.
Best fish and chips
N. V.
Fish & chips is not so big but has really tasty cream. A cup of americano has true American size.
A. M.
High class park cafe - interesting menu. Fine array of cakes and a good range of teas.
a. r.
Cafe so what do you expect. Location perfect tourist prices but for the venue expected. Take away Coffee in morning a little slow but very nice.
c. v.
above all good things the best is that here are working few of my compatriots: Cristian and Bianca which are waiters and Valentin ...the Chef. So if you Are in the neighbourhood ask for them. You will be treated as a king. God save the queen ...and the romanians!
P. G.
Nice location in the park and pleasant staff. A bit pricey, but I've seen worse. Reasonable choice of food for adults and children.
H. T.
Very nice products, but the staff could be more polite.
M. d. H. —. M.
Great place!
C. W.
Nice place to stop for refreshments after a long day of walking, however staff didn’t seem too attentive, food took forever and a staff member was a bit rude to us for no reason
E. P.
A delightful cafe with a great view in the middle of James park! Coffee was ok, much better than in other cafes in the city!
A. M.
Really nice place to stop for a quick bite to eat and a beverage. Serves craft beers and the food was tasty.
M. M.
Cash n Carry cantina like cafe in St. James Park. Normally overpriced, seating more functional than comfortable.not a place where you would chill out for hours.
B.
Nice place. Quite busy, menu isn't to my taste but the coffee was great.
T. B.
Best cafe at the best park in London. Prices would surprise you.
P. H.

Right next to the wild life and large pond this is a great cafe (no dogs allowed in) and very busy when groups of school children are visiting!
M. K. S.
Coffee and pastries were nice and the view of the lake is fantastic. But as other reviewers have punted out the toilets are in an appalling state.
A. G.
It is a nice location but the food is decidedly OK. It's busy due to the location so enjoy it for what it is. There's a top deck to sit and eat at that is easily missed.
e. n.
Had the veggie english breakfast, was lovely but was only about 5 baked beans...
Other than that, was a great breakfast
M. A.
This is one really amazing place, the view is very beautiful and it's great for breakfast or a brunch. It's a little bit expensive but everything is very delicious.

The staff were helpful, coffee was good and they did have soy milk but was really disappointed they only had one vegan option and there was no ingredient labelling on anything.

T. W.
Delicious, aromatic coffee. I recommend this place.
M. I.
I was surprised to see that they have very decent prices, being in St James Park you could expect something different. There is also a rofftop teracce if you want to have a better view of the park.

A. G.

A. I. Z.
It is ok, but nothing special. The previous menu was better. It is also very busy and loud.
