Location next to Broomfield Park is priceless. After a long walk around it’s the perfect place to rest for a hot drink and/or food. I usually go for late lunches, and it has been busy both indoor and outdoor seats. Staff are attentive and will seat you as soon as a free table is available. Menu offers a range of fusion brunch options. My personal favourite is the buttermilk creole chicken. Dog friendly outdoor seating only, with a water bowl by the door.

I really enjoy coming here. Every dish I have ever had has always tasted great and fresh. The decor and vibe is lovely, the food feels like it is quality and the staff are generally friendly (although on one occasion, a friend and I felt like we were being hinted to either order more or leave. We had ordered full dishes and drinks and I get it can get busy but it is very annoying to feel like we need to leave when we are enjoying ourselves). Customer service has also let me down on my last visit whereby I was told that I cannot remove an item from a dish on my order (despite previously requesting an item to not be included and it being honoured). Bizarre!! I tried the chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and it was delicious. Coffees are good although small. The beetroot latte literally tasted like milk - have had much better (and cheaper) elsewhere. I'd highly recommend the chicken and waffles but have genuinely enjoyed all dishes so far! The soul plate and fritters are also delicious. Portion sizes are not huge but the quality makes up for that.

Simply the best! We travel down to London regularly and always try to stop by. Unlike any other cafe for brunch, such a diverse menu which I’d love to try more of but I just can’t get past the Creole Chicken Waffles or the Soul Plate. I was recommended to have a fried egg with my chicken waffles and I love how the team there know the menu well enough to be able to suggest things like that. Not being able to book a table is risky with the drive from Manchester but well worth it. Food & drink is always 10/10, service is always 10/10. Brilliant spot with plenty of on-street parking (free on Sunday), and the decor is so fresh and welcoming. Until the next time 🙏

Nice place for breakfast. Portions are medium sized, I would say you won't be hungry afterwards but you might not be completely full (which might be a good thing). Pleasant decor and menu selection is quite wide. Prices are average, a bit more expensive than at some similar establishments, but marginally so

Great vibe, nice decor, excellent service and child friendly. Location is great overlooking Broomfield Park and lots of parking outside and on the side road. Waffles were tasty and well presented, went down well with the children. The hot chocolate was also well received. I had eggs on sourdough with two sides, every thing was well seasoned and hot. I tried the beetroot latte which was vibrant and delicious. Well worth trying out if you are in the area.

Nice surrounding area and would be great in sunny weather. Outdoor seating is almost as much as indoor!

Great local brunch spot near Southgate and Palmers Green. Would highly recommend visiting! Drinks and food is surprising cheap considering the selection and quality. There aren't many beers on tap, but there are a wide range of different cocktails to choose from. Conveniently situated opposite Brookfield park, it's also a great place to stop off and grab a coffee before or after a walk.

Amazing food and drinks, great decor and wonderful service!! Nothing to not love about this place. We ordered a bloody Mary, chicken and waffles and the black bean fritters which all tastes great. Amazing brunch! I had Bombay eggs which were nice and filling and my boyfriend had chicken waffles with sriracha maple syrup and OH MY GOD I’m coming back to have those waffles! They do cocktails and have prosecco on tap as well and I’ve seen some amazing cakes there too. Overall - you won’t regret this visit!

Amazing small little gem, how ever I went when it was busy (had to wait 30mins)and most of the stuff on the menu was sold out by13:30. So with the limited amount of options I had the Bombay eggs which was fantastic, coffee was lovely gotta try the beetroot latte!! Amazing. Just one little thing I notice after I’ve paid my bill there was a 10% service charge which I hadn’t notice until I’ve left...

I’m so happy to have found this place! I thought I had to book a flight back to New York to experience this level of chicken and waffle, but behold! Starfish & Coffee have wowed me. I went here a couple of weeks ago with a friend for brunch. It was a great experience! The design and layout was beautifully executed from the interior to the crockery, everything was done thoughtfully and tastefully. The menu was a real surprise compared to what one might expect from a ‘traditional’ brunch menu, there were dishes from around the world that catered to every taste- from the sweet tooth to the meat lover to the veggie! The coffee was also excellent. My only comment was that the staff seemed quite stressed, but that didn’t make us feel rushed and we still had plenty of attention from them. I’ll definitely be back!

Disclaimer - I've only been here for takeaway coffee and cake. The coffee is nice, but only comes in a very small size. The cake was also delicious, but a small-ish piece. 1 latte, 1 hot chocolate and 1 small slice of banana cake was £9.50, so too expensive to go regularly.

I had the Belgian Hot Chocolate with peanut butter and Nutella, to take away. The peanut butter and Nutella powder is around the cups rim, a bit strange but it works. The hot chocolate itself is nice too, but they lose 1 star for the tiny portion. I expected a "medium" size for £3.50. I'll come back though and it was quite stylish inside.

Starfish is a treat! Super slick decor made me think it would be style over substance, but NO - this place is delicious. What is there not to love about this cosy coffee shop overlooking the park! The best matcha lattes and Belgian hot chocolates to accompany a beetroot cure salmon Benedict and wild mushrooms on charcoal sourdough! The food tastes just as good as it looks! Poached eggs are perfection everytime! I won't be venturing far for brunch anymore.

Lovely place to go and have a good coffee or a small bite to eat. Extremely friendly service. Coffee art is inconsistent, sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. I only say this because when you do get it, it is beautiful. We ate the Star Fish breakfast which was delicious (bacon was phenomenal) Don't expect to overeat, which isn't a disappointment due to the fact you can indulge in some cake. We don't like that the food was served on chopping boards. It's a personal preference, but anything other than a plate is just another fad. We would definitely go back and recommend.

This is my local, I've been here at least 30 times because I like it! The coffee is great, it's the artisan stuff with fruity and nutty notes. The food is presented well with edible flowers on the granola and beetroot puree comets to dress plates. The vibe is trendy like a beach bar in Ibiza on hot summer days, they even have live DJs on special occasions (which they should do more). But it's also very welcoming to families you'll usually be a table or two away from a yummy mummy. I also love that it's a corner plot with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the park, makes it bright and airy. The staff are very friendly and the owner chatty and always upbeat. Yes the service isn't the quickest so I agree with others on this but the kitchen works fast so the overall wait works out on balance. Ok so the prices aren't the cheapest around, at £3 for a coffee and £12 for the starfish breakfast (full English) and no offers that's I've ever come across expect to pay for the privilege of being seen in here. But I still go every weekend with my wife and baby boy cause we like all of the above so much!

Really really nice, great atmosphere, great drinks, exactly what the area needs. Just let down on two points which are easily remedied... 1. Proscecco smells like egg which was not a surprise when returned, only to be offered another glass also smelling off egg. 2. Staff are not customer focused, rather talking amongst themselves so it's difficult to work out who is serving and who had turned up to their youth club. Certain these points will be ironed out which would then result in 5 stars.

With friendly and honest staff, this rare gem of a cafe serves up the smoothest live jazz Friday and Saturday nights until 10pm. The decor is not over the top and doesn't feel as gentrified as it may appear from outside. Despite the alcoholic drinks being more expensive than your usual boozer you're paying for drinks I've never seen anywhere else. Try the Buddha beer. Everything this area has been lacking.

A gem of a coffee shop, art gallery and hang out in Palmers Green. N13 has a lovely community but is in dire need of above average coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Starfish loves Coffee covers all 3, very good coffee, drinks (fab prosecco on tap) and a very cosmopolitanfood menu. It's busy and bustling and has a great atmosphere. I had a fantastic brunch with friends, which included Chicken and Waffles and a mimosa that was as good as anything in Zone 1!
